Mehn, i'm seriously pitying Toyota Camry o! Tho the european specs Camry which thankfully is the one Elizade sells, looks a lot better than the american specs........BUT STILL NO MATCH FOR THIS HONDA!!!!!! Vaswani brothers (Honda place) go laugh Elizade well well next year.....when they sell their stripped down versions....unlike this one coming in fresh from the states ![]() This is EOD versus big daddy Camry all over again * [s]I think Toyota and Honda plan these things sef. [/s] Looking closely at the interior of both cars wil reveal some slight similiarities- the steering wheel, dash e.t.c., but its like this Accord was designed to be better in EVERY way than the Camry. Anyway, this is the honda's thread. Oga Inspired, you are three much sir ![]() |
Cunninlingus: who is living in denial?that would be you bro. |
Cunninlingus: Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq ibn Yasār ibn Khiyār (according to some sources, ibn Khabbār, or Kūmān, or Kūtān,[3] Arabic: محمد بن إسحاق بن يسار بن خيار, or simply ibn Isḥaq ابن إسحاق, meaning "the son of Isaac"Muslim historian, your answer is here. Ibn Ishaq was truly a 'historian', NOT a hadith collector. www.answering-christian-claims.com/False_Stories_About_Prophet_Muhammad.html |
Cunninlingus: I am waiting for you to expose me.ermmmm...... I think i just did. I just proved to you that you've been quoting from non existent books and materials. Akin to saying: News headlines: Dangote to contest for Ikeja Local Government Chairman. Source: The Cunning Daily newspaper. |
Cunninlingus: Aisha committed adultery but Mohammed was scared to punish or divorce fearing that the alliance with her father which was already suffering would collapse. Aisha was then dispatched by her father to kill mohammed though poison so that He (mohammed will not anniont another rival as his heir).Oniro jatijati (yoruba for pathological liar). I'm fairly certain you dont even have a link for this false story. It just originated from ur head. Dude, i think you r going mental. Dont you think so too ? Get help, seriously.Best wishes |
Cunninlingus: ^^^ again i have to quote myselfplease what is ''Ishaq p.454'' no chapter in the Quran is named Ishaq no hadeeth collection is named ishaq www.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080923051843AAxPpHw Please dont allow me to keep exposing your stup.idi.ty. |
Cunninlingus: He was chosen because of his clear voice which he had because he was castrated before his voice cracked in puberty.LWKMD OOOOOOOOO!!!!! Weting Cunning man no go talk today. I pity those whom you are swaying with your lies. & here I was thinking my very first post to you on this thread might have been too harsh.... Now, i see you selectively quoted my post. No problem. At least u can't cut the original.lol. So no arab man had a sweet voice? So a castrated man can marry the Prophet's daughter & give birth to two lovely boys Hassan & Hussain(RA)? Dude, get a life. I repeat that there's no point defending ur lies and misquotes. Come to me with facts & genuine inquiries even if laced with sarcasm (but not lies), & i will put you straight with my knowledge (which of course is limited as only God is the all-knowing). & if i can't other islamic brothers more knowledgeable than myself will come in if they wish coz i'm sure many of them will consider me engaging you as a waste of time since you are clearly bent on mischief and misinformation. I see you've stopped you ''Allah'' & ''mark of the beast'' comparison. You've done my assignment then....oh, i did it for you. Lwkmd. |
tintingz: Freeing of slaves is Commanded by Allah Almighty:Thanks bro. |
Hmmm.....i've already exceeded my usual time limit for religious arguments. & i'm having too much fun where i am now to continue indulging you guys. I've read most of the slavery trash up there, but not all. Beautiful Kails, welcome to the fold.lol. Now, please listen: 1) The first muazzin (person who makes the call to prayer) in Islam was a slave who was freed by Abubakr(the Prophet's closest companion). His name was Ali, & guess what, he had the honour of being among those who was assured paradise even before he died & he was also the man (yes the former BLACK slave) who MARRIED THE PROPHET'S DAUGHTER. 2) In Islam, if you miss a compulsory ramadan fast without any justifiable reason, you are required to either A) Fast 60 days in return (yeah, Allah knows this wont be easy hence option B & C) B) Feed 60 hungry poor people till they are very full ( not give 60 million to ur Imam to sow ''seed'' o) C) LOOK FOR A SLAVE AND FREE HIM/HER. & Slavery is an ARAB thing not a muslim thing. Please stop confusing the two. Islam came about to sanitise the Arab world, hence their initial, but long and persistent persecution of Muhammad. The Arabs existed before islam & they were idol worshippers. Now, as unreliable as wikipedia is sometyms(given that it can be edited by you and i), here's what it has to say about slavery (you can consult the references too. Read and digest it very well please & Kails, please store this one too in ur archives. www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_views_on_slavery an exerpt: .....''Muhammad's traditions Main article: Muhammad and slavery The Islamic prophet Muhammad encouraged manumission of slaves, even if one had to purchase them first. On many occasions, Muhammad's companions, at his direction, freed slaves in abundance. Muhammad personally freed 63 slaves, and his wife Aisha freed 67.[32] In total his household and friends freed 39,237 slaves.[33] The most notable of Muhammad's slaves were: Safiyya bint Huyayy, whom he freed and married; Maria al-Qibtiyya, given to Muhammad by a Sassanid official, whom he freed and who may have become his wife;[34]Sirin, Maria's sister, whom he freed and married to the poet Hassan ibn Thabit[35] and Zayd ibn Harithah, whom Muhammad freed and adopted as a son.[36]............'' |
Cunninlingus: pls scroll up to the posted topic above about the persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt.Oga, re-read my post and understand it. If i wake up today & declare my intention to start killing all the xtians i know (God forbid) & quote some 'verses' like Shekau, that will still not make it acceptable in Islam. No matter how much you create excuses to justify a very bad thing, it'll never make it good. Stop giving ISLAM a bad name (even tho some muslims are doing that already as regards some aspects) in order to hang it. However, the good news is you can't hang it. You can only try, & yet the religion will still come out stringer coz you are exposing it more and more for the INTELLIGENT ones to discern. |
Cunninlingus: But I have also posted specific commandments by your Prophet as contained in the Quaran and other books of Islam to kill Jews and Christianspls reread the quoted post above. I've modified it. Ooooooooooo, Cunning, you know you are becoming my friend now. I'll fight with you again o. Ehen. Oya go n read that link. I've read your epistles & i posted that link as a reply so save u & others from the stress of scrolling down on this thread. I'm telling you those ur ''commandments'' are outrightly false & misquoted, if not, muslims and xtians would have wiped out each other long before our Great great great grandfathers were born & the middle east will be a desert. Probably the two main religions will be buddhism and Ifa. & of course, there'll be absolutely no xtian in the arab world. |
Cunninlingus: Jihad (English pronunciation: /dʒɪˈhɑːd/; Arabic: جهاد ǧihād [dʒiˈhæːd]), an Islamic term, is a religious duty of Muslims. In Arabic, the word jihād translates as a noun meaning "struggle". Jihad appears 41 times in the Quran and frequently in the idiomatic expression "striving in the way of God (al-jihad fi sabil Allah)". A person engaged in jihad is called a mujahid; the plural is mujahideen. Jihad is an important religious duty for Muslims. A minority among the Sunni scholars sometimes refer to this duty as the sixth pillar of Islam, though it occupies no such official status. In Twelver Shi'a Islam, however, Jihad is one of the 10 Practices of the Religion.@CunningCunning, you did well posting this definition. If only you could read it well and digest it (& not just selective reading & misunderstanding), then you'll know attacking islam is simply a mere waste of your time. But its good you do these things, so you may be guided. & don't forget to read the link i posted earlier o! & by the post above mine, do you mean the US is supporting Islam or SUPPORTING terrorism (which it has always done)? You are simply buttressing the main point (& confusing urself the more, i suspect) that killing innocent xtians or anybody (EXCEPT in cases of self defence) is terrorism & has no backing in islam. I advice you to accept it and deal with it. |
@Cunningwhatever, if you've done my assignment, you'll realise your very obvious mistake of attacking islam by largely using ''Allah'' as a tool for your (or other's) realisatn of fanciful illusions. This is simply because the Xtians in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen (who incidentally, stiil haven't been 'killed' or 'smitten' thanks to Allah) who went to church today refer to God as ''Allah''. In essence, Allah means God in arabic, which shouldnt be surprising since same God is reffered to as ''Eloi'' (seen in the bible) in aramaic. So, Mr. Mark of the Beast, hope you've seen the light now. See, i'm not a very very very religious person (though i say my prayers as a muslim always, i give to charity when i can & i try to love my neighbours (both muslims and xtians alike) as myself as commonsense & indeed Islam stipulates), but i dislike prolonged religious arguments. I've posted many rebuttals with good sources on these your ''hate'' verses posted above, which if looked at critically by themselves alone, show that they cant all be true. I'm glad you posted them though, but i'll leave you with this link. Click, read and be enlightened. www.answering-christianity.com/islam-questions_rebuttal.htm carry on with your job. The arab xtians will be intrigued. |
Cunninlingus: Now this is the original inscription from the dead sea scrolls for the mark of the beastIt's good to see you are taking foo...lishness to greater heights. Dead sea scrolls & mark of the beast? Relationship please. & who saw the scroll? & where the heck did you see the flag Muhammad used during wars o! Please do us a huge favour and quote ur sources and authorities for all these. I think we are derailing this thread o. Please open another thread for this ur relatnship between mark of the beast and Allah. My only other assignment for you is to go and find out what the jews call God, & what arab xtians call God as well in their respective languages. Ode. |
Cunninlingus: [color=#990000]“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”IQ level = -0.0005. With this, you must be feeling really cool with yourself. Please show us the hadeeth were Muhammad called for the killing and persecution of jews and xtians. Also show us or tell us where you read that the Xtians rejected Muhammad. A typical example of people who promote hatred and division by spreading lies and conjectures. I dont envy your life at all. Yet, you'll be the first (if you are a xtian) to open your mouth and say ''all liars shall go to hell''. Anywy, this wont really apply to you, since you r not just an ordinary liar, but a PATHOLOGICAL one. Better repent. |
i'm ALIVE = I'm A Lucifer In Violent Earth. Now please, go and kill yourself & tell everybody else to do the same. Rubbish. I wonder why people are so s.ill.y. Stop wasting the brain God gave you. Use it to think. I'll advice you to concentrate on living a good and happy life and looking for ways to make the world around you a better place instead of wasting your time on silly conjectures. Consult your Bible or your Qur'an, & stop listening to people who are either out to make money out of you, or as in this case, simply attract attention(some of them might be psychiatric patients without knowing it. Seriously!) Dont be faithless. Using LOL, BRB, or anything will not bring Lucifer or whatever any closer to you once you believe you are under God's protection & you pray regularly. Thats why a hadeeth in islam says ''all actions shall be judged according to intention'' *of course, this doesnt include wicked acts against innocents as there can be no good intention whatsoever for such* |
beambor1: he asked 4 my gre report, sorry i forgot to include thatDouble Congratulations Beambor. 1st because you got a full tuition waiver for Spring admission for that matter ![]() 2nd, you got the visa. Now, please, can you tell me what your GRE score is? & dyu mind sharing with the house the name of your school? If you wish to keep it confidential (though, frankly i see no reason too), then please send me a PM. Thanks. All the best in the US. |
In addition to all that has been said, as at 2010, a 92-96 Toyota Camry V6 tokunbo engine at Ladipo cost around 75k, while the i4 cost 120-130k! & I'm fairly certain that till now, the V6 engine is cheaper. Also, mechanics familiar with the 2002-2006 Camry will tell you that the 4 cylinder engine is nowhere near as strong as the V6 (this applies for all cars I believe anyway). But it appears that due to the size of this camry in particular, a lot of strain is usually put on the 4 cylinder leading to gradual engine wear over time (especially if its not well taken care of). & to the best of my knowledge, all Avalons come in V6. There are some 4 cylinder 2001 -2006 Highlanders. & there's a certain thrill that comes with driving a V6, the way ur car shoots forward at a light touch of the accelerator, the 'balance' at moderate to high speeds, e.t.c. For those who like to drive, forget it, you'll never want to drive a 4 cylinder car again. |
those of you saying ''impossible'' dont seem to take cognizance of the fact that in the last LG elections in Lagos, PDP WON ASIWAJU TINUBU's LOCAL GOVERNMENT. This much has been confirmed by the tribunal. The people voted PDP not because they like the party, but because they HATED the useless candidate Tinubu FOISTED on them & they are getting fed up with Tinubu's unphantomable greed & lust for power. I forsee the same scenario repeating itself in 2011. If ACN wants to lose 2015, then Tinuby should just anoint a useless person to take over from Fashola. & seriously, most of the top guns in the ACN are pretty much useless. From the senators to the house of reps members. Even Fashola seems better than they are. & if in addition to losing, Tinubu also wishes to have a heart attack, he should just attempt, (note: ATTEMPT) to use his wife to replace Fashola.......which is the grand plan anyway. If not now, then 2019...if he's still alive. Either one, he & she will lose. If PDP has any sense (& they are seriously lacking in that department), they should go and look for a sensible articulate intelligent fresh untainted dude to be their flagbearer & not bring the old corrupt warhorses in. No matter the party in power, its the PERSON that'll determine if the lives of Lagosians will be better or not. |
isarumah: @siena, please oga, I posted on audi and vw issue thread, but you did not respond. The issue is, I bought tiks audi 80 tiger face with 1.8 engine and electric carb. It works fine, but consumes around 15litres/100km(combined drives). Is it normal for the car? If yes, why? If no, what are the possible problems and solution. Respect sir!i remember seeing your complaint on another thread i think & Siena asked you what Audi tiger face was? & by now, you should know the drill na. What engine type is in your car? At the very least, is it an i4 or V6? *edit: OK, you did specify. Seen.* @Siena, Audi 'Tiger face' is the Audi 80 facelift. Lol |
seriously bro, WE NEED PICTURES!!!!! How many people we wan call. You want to sell this house fast? Take time out and get us some pics sir. & is it currently occupied? If yes, by who? the owner? |
take dat: Is it possible for Abati, Okupe and Osinlu to make pronouncement without consulting their principal? Even if the aides made those statements without his knowledge, why did he not denounce or dispel the statements immediately? Abeg their Oga na liar!u dey mind am?? The President of the country, an innocent bystander? Can u imagine ? Even me wey no be councillor, if someone comes out to speak falsehood on my behalf, i'll come out to deny it & if possible, sanction the person. So, failure of Mr President to do this doesnt make him an innocent bystander, but rather, an accomplice/action initiator (as is likely the case here) or a COWARD who can't call his subordinates to order. |
BarryX: The President double-mouthed stand has been there since the inception of his administration, He just keep changing colours and contradicting himself and setting up commitees upon commitees with no clear direction. The advisers should be aware of that by now, BTW they are still collecting estacodes and allowances, why don't they show themselves so that we'll know which side they're ? Bunch of Hypocrites!!HONESTLY! This man has absolutely no direction, no co-ordination, no focus. Yes, Obasanjo too was like this but at least he was able to ensure some level of productivity and sanity in a few areas, something Goodluck J hasn't done, & which his ministers, pension thieves, 'cabals' and PDP men are taking advantage of. But what do you expect from a man who cant even defend his own speeech!!! |
toluxa1: Abi oooo. Nigerians sometimes behave silly. He has come out to tell the whole truth now, and its still a problem to some. HatersHow do you reason ??Someone ordered lies to be told to the world, later he comes out to say the 'truth'. What if some of those 'truths' are actually lies which he comes out to deny tomorrow? It all points to one thing. Insincerity. An dishonest and inconsistent man cannot be expected to turn the lives of Nigerians around for the better. Thats just the truth. If Abati has any vestige of pride left, the honourable thing for him to do is to resign. If the House & Senate are serious, they ought to summon Mr. President for clarifications. Oh, i forgot, he still hasnt answered their summons to brief them on the insecurity issues. This President is a humble but insincere & obviously inept leader. Let's face it please. However, we have no choice but to wish him the best. |
tbaba1234: Do you need an incentive for dealing with anger? The Quran constructs a unique argument that helps the one dealing with anger Issues and a better perspective to dealing with anger.May Allah make it easy for us muslims( from threads here on nairaland to the streets in northern Nigeria) to be calm and peaceful especialy when provoked. That is indeed best for us. |
Pecca: Yeah! He is correct. WERE is used when an imaginary event or rather an action that could have been but could not!correct |
".....were to be an english teacher", not "was".lol |
Hmmm, I'm not a car dealer in the real sense tho i do advertise cars for sale sometimes on behalf of others. But i have an idea of the cost of a good number of cars. 2.1 million for a 2005 EOD (even if it is EX-L) is a bit high a think (the car dealers here can correct me if i'm wrong). I suggest u check the 'autos' section on nairaland here & scroll through. You should be able to find something lower, however, ensure you are buying a clean title vehicle, or if salvaged, hasnt suffered severe irreparable damage, has been thorughly fixed & is fit to drive (should be cheaper). To be on the safe side, just get a clean title ride. U should be able to land one for less than 2 million naira i believe. |
Siena: Your post suggests there was doubt on the part of lots of posters here. So if there's doubt, smart people do the sensible thing - ask questions! Or go as far as using Google or any other search engine. The same means they had to insult the poster could have been employed to do a little basic research.I've always said it that Nairaland is a microcosm of Nigeria. What you see on Nairaland can point you in the direction for the major cause(s) of Nigeria's problem today. Things we are supposed to take serious, we joke with, things we are supposed to take in our stride, non-issues, we give relevance. Those things that are of real benefit to us, we laugh off, & outrightly reject. Its the reason we are stuck with some of the worst set of leaders in the world, and even while development continues to be farther from us with each passing day, we continue cheering the leaders on. Rubbish. Able Moderator Ikenna sir, i humbly submit that you please allow some threads to remain here in the car section for enough contributions from the enthusiasts before recommending they be moved to the FP. If you've been doing this before, then by all means, please continue the practice Thanks. |
Am I the only one who thinks this car would have looked way better if it was just black, maybe suede black or any other customized special form of black? Or maybe even silver...nah he's not an old guy. Black. Black. Black. Some cars are already flashy, they make 'noise' already. Too much fancy painting & designs is overdoing things & will kill the car's look IMO. This is a Bentley Continental GT, not a Hummer. Apparently the owner likes it that way so who am i to complain? Lol. Nice car tho ![]() |
Old thread o! Physically, just one major difference: The E0D 2003, 2004 has its rear lights coloured white (trafficator & reverse) & Red (brakes & parking), while the 2005 E0D has all red rear lights (trafficator, brakes, parking) & just one small white box (reverse light) within. However, both types of lights are the same size and form, so i believe i can comfortably fit a 2005 rear light on a 2003 accord, so ur best bet of knowing the exact year is by checking the VIN of the car (the 10th character denotes the model year) & the manufacturing date of most cars can be found on a sticker on the drivers side when you open the door. 2005 is naturally (since it was the 3rd year model of that generation) likely the least problematic of them all, some say its less prone to transmission issues too. However, i would still love me an EX version (better audio, audio controls on steering, maybe leather, alloy wheels too) manual gear (rare tho) of any of those cars were I the buyer. |
dnpasion, sorry about your denial. Jerry Westfall may not have appeared on any of your documents, but might be the VO's father or brother, or even teacher while the VO was at college (yes, he might well be an alumni of that school!) My small advice to everyone else going for the interview is to spend some time going thru your university's info on wikipedia. It could help. You may be asked for the name of your University's President or your faculty dean & a good answer might just guarantee your visa even if you fumble in some other questions. I'm a Fall 2013 hopeful (maybe), so my time to be very active on this thread never reach.lol. Though i do read most posts here. Btw, if anyone knows a generous school (high chances of getting GA & Tuition waiver with my 3.47/5.00 cgpa + by God's grace a high GRE score come december) for Environmental Health / Hygiene/Industrial Health, please post here. Thanks. Then, on the question of ''why this school?'' I have a suggestion for graduate students: U can say ''Oh, while carrying out your undergraduate seminar/project, about 3 of the 28 journals (make d VO know say this one serious.lol) you used were written/co-written by Dr. Blablabla & so when you had 3 admits & decided to go thru the profile of each school, u were pleasantly surprised to discover he/she's actually a staff of the faculty, that in fact, you initiated correspondence with him immediately & he has agreed to be your supervisor. Yeah, i'm giving you guys my expo (since i may not face a VO till maybe June/July..lol) coz it might help some people. I've observed that a very good answer to even just one of the questions might be enough in some cases to secure your visa. Then don't forget God. When i applied for undergrad visa for spring 2008, i was denied. Why? I wasnt well packaged (had finished high school in 2k4, was already in 200-300level, but strike too much e.t.c), plus i was freaking nervous & very COLD which seriously affected my confidence. I've never been a stranger to AC all my life but mehn, that day the embassy was just toooooo COOOLD. Even the VO interviewing me, his face was almost white.lol. Maybe the cooling system had a problem that day, or a VIP from Alaska was present, but I know that next time i set forth to the embassy for a visa interview, i will be wearing 3 layers of clothing + blazer (making 4). Thank you ![]() Any suggestion of good & generous schools will be appreciated. Or can anyone comment on Purdue uni, Kent state Uni, Univ of Cincinnati. Note: my folks are not poor, middle class or maybe upper middle class, thank God, but to shell out millions for MSc no easy o, when other commitments dey. Which is why i'm hoping to get a GA or RA with tuition waiver (hopefully full waiver). Other costs, i will comfortably take care of by God's grace. Thanks house. To the regular contributors here, especially those in school over there already who still make out time to be here for us, God bless you guys. |

(died 767, or 761[2]) was an Arab Muslim historian and hagiographer. Under the aegis of the 'Abbasid caliph Al-Mansur, Ibn Ishaq collected oral traditions that formed the basis of the most important biography of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
? Get help, seriously.
