At the GEJ bootlickers (Lastpope & co) who are putting forward a senseless case that the practice of abuse of office started before GEJ & so, ''its not his fault'' : U guys should stop talking jor!! Was it not CHANGE & FRESH AIR you guys were preaching? Or you've suddenly forgotten what 'change' means abi? You people didnt tell us it'll be a continuation (& even worsening) of the status quo na,even tho it was clear for all to see. If The Clueless One can't stop some of these practices, then God willing, May 29th, 2015, one of his old bowler hats will be his only property forgotten in aso rock. Rubbish. Otuoke shall be waiting to receive him. He can contest for Ogbia LG chairman in 2019, lets see if he'll effectively manage it. |
thelastPope: Whoever wrote that stuff up there is a massive 1diot! President Goodluck Jonathan is the commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria. He is the highest ranking military officer in Nigeria. People just say things out of ignorance.*edited* You sir, are one of the reasons why this country is retrogressing. You are one of the reasons why GEJ will justify having almost 10 presidential aircraft in his fleet while the nation is without a national carrier. You are one of the reasons why the senators and reps will have about 3 brand new exotic official cars each, collect millions of naira every month, & still tell us it is not enough. You are one of the reasons why David Mark will justify buying the official residence he lived in during the last senate (at a tiny fraction of the price of course) & still allocate money to build another massive one which he will still buy by 2015. You are one of the reasons why d presidency or whoever has the audacity to submit a request for an EXTRA 9 BILLION naira for the VICE president's house. Perks of office my foot. Ask the countries that are developed how many jets(if any) they have. Ask they if they use military aircraft for burial ceremonies. Ask the legislators how much they earn & the type of official car (its definitely one if any) they drive. Then you'll know just how much our leaders take us for fo..ols in this country with the active du..mb support of people like YOU. |
I'd read this on informationnigeria earlier tonight but i still decided to click on the topic coz i knew I'll definitely see some hilarious comments. I've not been disappointed so far.lol & then, i don't mean to be a grammar nazi but mehnnn, some people are murdering English on this thread o . |
gister3: The chopper belonged to the Nigeria navy, but it had been placed at the exclusive service of the president in the Niger Delta region.God bless Nigeria ![]() |
Not to derail but on the What is Nigeria's problem thread, some people are saying it is hausa people, aboki, 1914 amalgamation, that is responsible for Nigeria's problem. Now, look at NL frontpage, look at this story, and tell me how Lord Lugard and 1914 and amalgamation is/are reponsible for this and many other ills plaguing this country. Until we stop fighting ourselves and actually fight the useless people in power, by way of demanding good governance, and our votes come 2015, stop pointing silly fingers at one religion or tribe, we won't get anywhere. Not a curse, just the fact. |
Noswaa: u want to re-sensitize almajiri right,u are not seriousOh, yes. EDUCATION and EMPLOYMENT can be provided for Almajiri. Afterwards, strengthen the security forces and WARN the Al-majiri that having provided the two above, any break down of law and order will be firmly resisted and promptly dealt with. of course, the stubborn ones will think you are just bluffing and may decide to test the new waters. When they do so, make a few delicious scape goats. If this is done BY A SERIOUS GOVERNMENT, I assure you, no further sensitization will be necessary. |
templeinyou: In all u mentioned i think is amalgamation.who told you we are incompatible? We are all ONE my brother. Sardauna and Ooni of ife were friends na. Hausa and yoruba fought biafra war on the same side. Igbo, yoruba and hausa public office holders collaborate together everyday to loot this country dry. Are you yoruba? Are you single? Ok, i have one sweet lovely well mannered well educated fulani babe with well educated and wonderful parents too. Are you interested? If you are not, i assure you some yoruba guys will. intermarriage is common amongst most tribes in Nigeria. dont be deceived by those on NL constantly shouting "Igbo, oju-iku, Yoruba, yorrober, bokoharam" e.t.c. Some of them are married to, or have siblings who are married to those tribes they constantly bash here. See, what matters is JUSTICE and FAIRNESS to ALL, irrespective of religion and tribe. Incidentally, both Islam and Christianity preach these, but most of us are too busy worshipping our Pastors and Sheikhs to bother about obeying these simple commandments. |
1)Leadership. Pure and simple. Be he a xtian or muslim, northerner or southerner, old or young, from ACN (without Tinubu's control) or CPC or even PDP (if such a candidate can ever be allowed to emerge from that cesspit of corruption and violence), as long as he knows that his allegiance is FIRST AND FOREMOST to the NIGERIAN PEOPLE, knows WHAT he's supposed to do, HOW he's supposed to do it, WHEN he's supposed to it and WHO he should delegate (if neccessary) to do it, then believe me, corruption, tribalism, religious bigotry, insecurity e.t.c. will cease to exist like they never happened. Of course not everybody will be happy, since some people derive joy only from chaos and sadness, but at least those unhappy with the wave of change originating from the President's desk & sweeping across the nation, will be powerless to stop it. Those of you saying amalgamation, stop deceiving yourselves and looking for what may appear to be the easy way out, but is actually the hard way out. This country is not too big and not too diverse to be EFFECTIVELY governed by one person. Almost all the tribes in nigeria are already too interconnected, too intertwined to break up. CNN's popular description of Nigeria as "almost equally split between a muslim north and christian south" is not entirely correct. We don mix pass that one. All we need is re-sensitization and someone bold enough to whip senses into the heads of troublemakers from whatever tribe. I assure you, there'll be peace. Once upon a time, Jos was joyous and peaceful, Kaduna was quiet, Kano was all about commerce. Of course, there must have been undertones of jealousy and hate and bigotry, but the atmosphere of security at the time, relatively low unemployment rate compared to now, didn't permit anyone to mess up. Those who did were promptly dealt with (the small pockets of riots which broke out and were effectively quelled in the 80s, early to late 90s). Now why is the violence looking like its impossible to stop? the answer is simple: those who should stop it (the politicians and public office holders) are benefiting from the divide and crisis so they are/ were reluctant to stop it. I used "were" because now, as will always happen with most evil plans, it appears to have gone over and beyond the control of the originators. My opinion. |

Reading through this thread from page 1, it's easy to see that the two people who have SUPPORTED this senseless attack ARE CHRISTIANS. STJUDAS: This dude is an igbo christian from the south east who disguised as a muslim to post that crazy comment. But of course, even after I and Beta Things have exposed him, we are yet to see any condemnation of his stup.i.d and callous act / retraction of comments by the christians who heaped insults on Islam, Allah & Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)on this thread. OBADIAH777: This man has even quoted BIBLE VERSES to justify this crime!!!!! & No, he's not a muslim disguised as a christian but a christian proper. A cursory look through his posts will confirm this much. But of course, since he's not a muslim, he's not a terrorist ![]() Those of you defending your silly assertion that this man isn't a terrorist coz he didnt kill for jesus, i ask you, WERE YOU IN HIS MIND TO KNOW HIS INTENTION BEHIND THIS DASTARDLY ACT? Are you sure it was Michael Jackson's song ("I'm bad, I'm bad, you know me, I'm bad...." ) he was singing while pulling the trigger or he was reciting some of the bible verses obadiah posted? You are a bloody hypocrite if you don't consider this man a terrorist.Terrorism is condemned in ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY Muslims, Christians, make una FEAR GOD. The earlier we stop labelling one religion and its adherents as bad and focus instead on pleasing God and loving our neighbours as we love ourselves, the better for us all. |
Zet72: 'terrorist on the the loose ' I have always said it Ever "Muslim is a potential terrorist" all prays to allah the almighty blood drinking god .Read the post above yours (two posts above)that has red fonts & stop talking trash. Bloody bigot. |
Siena: @ Sisi Kill @ Find Out!No probs. We'll wait. At least you won't spend another 18 months on it......hopefully ![]() |
Just arriving from Agho road, benin city in the late 70s/early 80s i think.... Some people are born writers. Siena is one of them. I earnestly await your book sir. @Topic, i dislike cats A LOT. Dogs, I can tolerate a bit.......when they are safely chained, thank you. |
Prof Corruption: A fool can, sometimes, make an interesting statement.hehehehehe. True. I believe this man was singing Jonathan's praises to the high heavens not too long ago. Now the question is: Is Asari dokubo talking now because of some new found genuine love for Nigerians and recognition of the need for a competent leader? OR Is he talking because money has stopped flowing from Aso-Rock? (its no longer news that GEJ and his ministers especially the beautiful Diezani have almost literally EATEN all the money) SELFISH interest is what brought us to where we are today in this country. Fresh Air indeed. |
stjudas: Allah has turned the infidels against themselves. America, UK, Israel and France shall fall and the Islamic State shall rule the world.... I'm sure all true muslims feel the way I feel... More of this, i pray for. Allahu akbar!!!Guy i pity you. You know fully well that you ARE NOT A MUSLIM yet you keep making silly comments on this forum that make other people cast aspersions on islam. I seriously pity you, & i just wonder what kind of despicable human being you are. I'm sure you must be somewhere staring at your laptop screen with eyes that God can take from you at anytime, gloating over the negative comments directed at islam courtesy of your post. Better change. M.o.R.O.N |
benoopy: Guy abeg boil 2 eggs join.2 eggs abeg no use 'mess' kill us for here o, con deny say no be you ![]() I don't know, for some reason, this Tonto Dike is someone you can't help but admire a bit, even if not totally. She's like a less intelligent, less pretty, younger Callotti/Lasinoh of nairaland......comes across as someone who NO SEND. |
brownlord: Nigeria nd fake jornalism, not the camp commandant but just one of the soldiers in camp, beside the solder dint even rise his hand on the boy, he only asked the boy to go change his black trouser and shoe to the normal white otondos r are allowed to put on, and the boy shouted at the soldier & pushed him and I want to know hw the boy was discipline just because he was ask to read an apology letter on parade ground, is tht what is referred to as discipline, anyway I don't blame him, in that camp its easy to know private university student and those tht attended Quack skool oversea, while those tht attended govt sckool, like OAU, Uniben, AAU ekp,Esut and host of others try to maintain discipline u see those idiot who attented glorified secondary skool showin their small self, anyway we out of there finallyI believe this should be close to, or actually the entire true story. & Linda didn't write that crap, tho she would have done well to verify (which she likely deliberately didnt do as that would have watered down the sensationality) before posting on her blog. It states at the top of the article that it was written by Stella Dimoko Korkus, that braggart loud mouthed uncouth lady that had issues with Jim Iyke not too long ago. & assuming the story is true, it beats me how someone can say the story was projected to paint Bakare in a good light, just because the man was alleged to have made a statement most Nigerian big men will never ever say. Tell a soldier to ''discipline his son'' for disobeying rules? I tell you, most Nigerian big men will never uttter such, let the media report whatever they like.It shows how Nigerians can throw objectivity out of the window when dealing with people they just don't like, for the wrong reasons btw. Tunde Bakare should be commended, if at least that part of this almost fictional story is true. |
lance458: Tanx a lot. Very informative and sound advice u gave.Nah, dont do that just yet. find out about the car first. Some of these korean cars are quite reliable if driven with care and maintained regularly.Plus the Suzuki Forenza is an 'american-spec'. Besides, its not your regular common everyday corolla or Honda civic, which is an advantage security - wise. So if you like the car, get some info about it before making your final decision to buy or not. |
lance458: i am about to buy a suzuki forenza 2005v model! does any one have an idea of teh cost of teh parts and where d parts are bin sold in lagosThe Suzuki Forenza 2005 is a re-badged version of the Chevrolet Optra (which is a rebadged Daewoo Lacetti) that was sold brand new in Nigeria by CFAO motors or so. I still see some on the street running and looking great, though I'm not too certain about its level of ruggedness in the likes of the Corolla. However, parts shouldn't be hard to come by in my opinion. It's a korean car by the way....under the hood. I advise that if you see the Chevrolet Optra anywhere, try to chat with the driver, ask him/her your question & also questions about the general reliability & maintenance of the vehicle. |
Seller, please be honest o, any faults whatsoever? And where is it being routinely serviced? |

Who were the main contenders during last year's election? Ok, i remember, Nuhu Ribadu & Muhammadu Buhari. Would such atrocities listed above have happened under their watch & they'll still sit with d same people at the FEC? Hell No. Yet, people voted for Goodluck. Its almost year end, most of the funds for the 2012 budget HAVE NOT been released. The little released hasn't been properly accounted for. Why? Is there no money? No. There is money, but Jonathan and his cronies are eating it up WOLFISHLY. I'm fairly certain that MOST of Jonathan's ministers are as guilty of corrupt practices as Orubebe, Adoke, Madueke, Oduah Ogiemwonyi and the rest. Do you know why they'll continue? They'll continue because GEJ is too POWERLESS and SPINELESS to stop them. Now, did we see indications of these before the elections? Did we see indications that Goodluck was going to be a weak and corrupt leader? Did we see indications that this man has no honour? Did we see signs that this man will not be able to put up tangible achievements? Of course we saw all these things. But we chose to be Fo..olish, we chose to be si...ll.y, we chose to mortgage our's and children's future simply because we did not want a northerner to be president. We forgot that we are all humans, we forgot that the north whom we blamed for our woes has produced one of the best leaders since 1960 in person of Murtala Muhammad, we forgot that several southerners, igbo, yoruba, ijaw also played principal roles in milking Nigeria dry. We chose to be sentimental, & just exactly how has it paid off? Buhari saw these signs and shed tears for Nigeria, Tunde Bakare looked at the way things are going and said GEJ's destiny was to bankrupt Nigeria. Is Jonathan now not fighting to fulfil that destiny? Yet, some fo.ols will come and campaig.n for him in 2015. GEJ is taking corruption and cluelessness to greater heights in Nigeria. May God preserve our souls till 2015, and if the current trend of Governance continues, then whosoever dares campaign for Goodluck in 2015 should know that he/she is an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians, and our enemies will fail. They will be alive to see Nigeria grow and develop like it should in the hands of a competent leader. Amen. The same way we are blaming Ojukwu, Awolowo & co for the biafra war today, the same way we are blaming IBB & for some people, Bashorun Abiola (RIP) for truncating the Buhari/Idiagbon regime, be prepared to answer questions from your intelligent children who will read history and ask you why you opened your two eyes and voted the worst president ever by name Dr. Goodluck Jonathan into power, when you had more qualified options. The most common mantra used then was ''we are voting Goodluck nt PDP''. That statement sounded sensible to the Pro GEJ then. Now I ask, don't you consider yourself a fo.ol for believing in such? *as if his ministers would be imported from ANPP & Fresh Democratic party* The PDP and their bootlickers will come up in 2015 with new tactics and strategies (their violence is turning out to backfire on them) and more silly catch phrases in an attempt to make you settle for a bicycle when you have a jet beside you. If you like, allow them to play on your intelligence again. You'll come back to complain. In fact, IT WONT WORK. But for now, we just have to enjoy the fressh air & pay the price for 22 million people's deliberate failure to make proper use of the common sense given freely to them by God. |

See what Dana motors should be selling to us! I'm sure this has a minimum of 4 airbags. See steering controls on Kia Rio! This is a lovely car indeed. Happy sales man. |
dare4uaka: Toyota Camry SC 765 AAA was snatched at gun point this night . If you have any info about this car kindly call me on 08051666323 or email me at salakodare@yahoo.comIt'll be better if you provide more info. - what model year & what colour? - where exactly was it snatched? -Did you engrave ur reg no. on your windows, windscreen e.t.c.? Sorry about the loss. I pray you find it or/and God gives you something better. |
Shine1177: I said earlier that the professors there are more than 10 yu can confirm their average number from Vannen. But come to this you dumb calculation. Is it of professors they have on staff payroll? Agree the school have a population of 8,000 student, don't you know that there are levels in academic for the academic staffs starting from a 1st Class student that are be employed as Graduate Assistant (Eagle) to Professorial level. What of non-academic staffs that out-number the academic staff? What of the laboratories, chemicals, equipments, fueling of school vehicle and all other miscellaneous cost?OK, good, so you agree you LIED that there are about 2500 students in CU? My mission was to puncture your silly claim that CU's students' fees cant pay 10 professors. & i've done justice to that. Continue deceiving yourself in your brainwashed mind. Peace. |
Vanneni: Thank you. We are way more than 2,500. This one that they even admitted too many new student's this session. Final year students are supposed to be 2 in a room but this time around they made us 3 per room because too many students were admitted. The university holds 3 thousand seated students at a time not counting those who may be be sitting at the gallery. We hold two services every sunday. So that would give us about 6000 plus students. Then adding stabbers because many students must stab(skip) chapel services, let's say we are around 7,000 plus. In my hall of residence, we are 850 and there are 5 female halls of residence. Multiply 850( doesn't mean there are also 850 in the remaining halls of residence) by 5 and you'll get 4,250. Multiply 4,250 by 2 coz there are also 5 male halls, and you'll get 8,500. You see.Thank you veryyyyy much. Oya, Mr. Shine who said we have only about 2,500 students, come and defend yourself o. Rubb.ish. Vaneni, people like Mr. Shine are the ones who make you guys feel like Winners chapel is doing you a favour by attending Convenant. They make your 500k seem like 50 naira, just so they can bully you when they feel like. Ofcourse i know the school spends a huge amount of money paying salaries, providing facilities and all, but that doesnt mean the authorities dont smile to the bank at the end of each academic year. Besides, an investment like a university isn't one where u'll get all ur ROI immediately. But with the huge money charged you guys, ur papa's pockets are definitely getting bigger. & besides, why does he intrude so much in school affairs? I wonder. Abeg, God will see u thru, continue to stay out of trouble. But please when you have money and fame, be humble to people, both old and young, so that God can bless you more. Your Chancellor has a lot of lessons to learn in humility, & that's one key attribute an IDEAL & TRUE Man of God should have in excess. |
Shine1177: CU is not a charity.I'm typing with my phone so doing the piece by piece quoting isnt convenient. Now, 2,500 * 500 = 1.25 billion naira. Lets say a prof earns 1 mill a month (of which CU might be paying less), therefore 10 profs earn 10 mill monthly & 120 mill annually. 120 mill is not even up to 10percent of the fees. So, hope i've effectively punctured that yeye claim, coz even if the the Profs are paid 2mill, there's still an excess of 1 billion naira. So some missionaries died of malaria and some private individuals many of whom ACTUALLY WORKED for their money set up schools and are charging high tuition gives ur Papa the right to also charge millions/several thousands from schools that were built from DONATIONS by CHURCH MEMBERS? Did you just say majority of winners chapel members are not poor ? So majority of d church members can afford to send their kids to Convenant & Kingdom heritage n d rest ?Oga, fear God o! |
Vanneni: It's what we are told we'll take even thoug we have our doubt. We are told that it's the church that runs the school. Student's school doesn't go a long way at all. So we are told constantly.Vanneni, thanks soo much for your contributions on this thread. It shows you have a mind of your own without being unduly rebellious. Very good. Keep it up. Its almost over. Can you please give me an idea of how many students are enrolled in CU presently? U said 8,000 earlier but someone here says 2,500. Which is close to accurate? Thanks. |
Shine1177: Point of correction! The fees those students paid cannot pay 10 Professors salary in that institution, so you got it wrong by saying he feds on their fees instead the church gives the school subventions. Please say what you know.so in essence, CU is a charity right? Please, lets do maths. Enlighten us further so maybe we can even begin to praise Daddy GO How much does the average CU student pay annually? How many students are in CU? How much do 10 professors earn annually? Who pays the money the church 'subvents' to the school? The Federal Government? Oyedepo's personal money (gotten from who else?) ? Or the tithes paid by the parents? I suspect Oyedepo or his wife or maybe someone he knows might have attended a missionary school (probably pry & secondary) when he was younger. How much did he/they pay? How much does the secondary school he owns charge their students as fees yearly? Or the money they pay too can't pay the salary of 10 teachers? Who even owns these institutions? Is it God? Is it ''the church'' (if yes, do the church members have 'shares')? Or is it Bishop Oyedepo? *Ultimately, everythn we own belongs to God coz when we die, everything stays here on earth, we take nothing with us* If you cant provide satisfactory answers to 70% of these questions, then please 'quietly keep quiet' on these your claims so that MOG will not invoke the curse of God on you. |
see hypocrisy here again o! If it was an Imam or any muslim cleric that inviked the curse of God on ANYBODY at all, least of all some group of relatively harmless students, the comments here would have made many muslims cower. We would have seen stuffs like ''terrorist'', ''religion of peace indeed'', e.t.c. Now, its a ''MOG'' & some mor.ooons are even defending him. I pity many christians who fear their MOG much more than God himself. On the day of judgement, ur MOG will be standing in line just like you and I waiting for God's judgement, & you'll realise how si.lly u were to have sold urself to the MOG, rather than concentrating of pleasing the Almighty God. You'll realise just how absolutely daft it was to have concentrated on ''sowing seed'' for your pastor's fleet of jets or buying him a car (maybe his 150th car) instead of helping the many poor people around your neighbourhood, providing them a source of livelihood and sending their kids to school. Seriously, some things are just common sense. Would Jesus Christ have endorsed your MOG's action....& many more actions of his? You have ur Bible. You understand English, read, use your brain and try to provide justifications. |
