I've been dating my girlfriend for about 3 years now and she has been a good woman through and through. I've met her parents and we're discussing on the next step. She has been supportive, responsible and caring despite our tribal difference.

This question goes to the married and the single pro-life individuals who believe in marriage but have had some fears due to their current experiences (for the married) or what we see, read and hear outside about challenges in marriage courtesy of socio moral implications of globalisation on Africans.

Looking at the society in general today with reference to Nigeria, the general euphoria and enthusiasm attached to marriage is gradually going into extinction by miasma of wrong narratives from those against marriage...I guess.

I still hold on to this believe that any functional and healthy adult who cannot manage both marriage and family is irresponsible and just as my culture and religion accord such respect of been responsible to the married.
There are certain cultural engagements, responsibilities, benefits that are made only for the married persons,
You can't be coronated a traditional ruler without a wife and so do I think of swearing in of Governors and Presidents

Why shy away with the proliferation of religious bodies and their core mandate of teaching LOVE

When a guy of 23 with all luxury of freedom, thinking he would continue leaving such life going to 30 and 40s, such person planning to leave a life of total irresponsible and not freedom.

Responsibilities not to spend all ur income bcoz of wife and kids, not to hang out with friends till late night, not to drink and smoke to stupor, are not cage but showing level of responsibility.

Let me correct wrong impression that someone wrote, that you too imbibed, hook line and sinker.

You see, RESPONSIBILITIES and not necessarily marriage, seem to limit one freedom. ( you guys see them as cage thou) If you are boss, if you are church or mosque leader, king, husband or wife etc .

The biggest problem that confronts you guys is transformation from teenagers to adulthood, the luxury of freedom one has, as teenager, you cannot enjoy it as adult,( married or single), and it limits it more if you are married, provided you want to be a responsible father or mother.

Another problem is that when you guys failed to marry an "understandable" partners, and not every man as you and ur motivator assumed.

Because after seeing others side of their story outside, they would come to term that is not greener as they taught, by then not easy to rewind the cloth, so common sense will quickly reset

Please guys ignore the grammar, I need urgent advice because I am dying slowly towards my wife altitude. I am a young guy working from home and I try all my best to make my wife happy always but there is one altitude in her which I am not comfortable with and I don't know how else to explain to her after I have tried so much for her to start up something. I hustle tirelessly while she spends extravagantly. Now she wants me to be paying her school fees because I'm her father who of course father gives her that.
