Car TalkRe: Acura Mdx Tech Package 2008 Model Showing Check Transmission With Flashing D by FlyboyZee: 5:27pm On Jul 02, 2012
Yeah! @Nissparts, I got your drift.

I actually left the car for lunch and before I got back they had already done the scanning and loosen the manifold to show me the soot (carbon) that has collected under cover. That was actually an oversight from me, maybe it was because of the stress I went through in the night all through to that time when my wife put to bed that morning or maybe the distance I had to drive all the way to Port Harcourt. But, for not demanding the codes, I agree I was actually careless. Maybe I should do another scan of the vehicle to get the codes and display them here. Thanks all the same, Man! I do appreciate.
Car TalkRe: Acura Mdx Tech Package 2008 Model Showing Check Transmission With Flashing D by FlyboyZee: 1:48pm On Jul 02, 2012
I got my 2002 Acura 3.2 TL Type S about 4 months ago.
After using the car for about 2 months, The Check Engine light came on and remained there. While this was happening, the car was jerking softly in such a way that even mechanics didn't notice it. I took the car to a guy from Honda Place in Port Harcourt about three weeks ago and the car was scanned, the manifold was opened and soot deposits under the cover was removed and the Check Engine sign was wiped off, hereafter, the car picked up top performance. But, on my way back to Bayelsa, just like 50kms away from Port Harcourt, the Check Engine indicator appeared again and the car's performance also dropped.

I have been driving it like that ever since then, but I ain't that cool with the performance of the car any longer.

Sorry to barge in on your thread bro, because I ought to have started my own thread.
Well, I was like WTF, since you are discussing Acura, why not just comb it in. LOL. Please, is there anyone that can help me out? Thanks in advance to all our great car enthusiasts.
Christianity EtcPastor David Wale Feso: What has the Ijaws done to You? by FlyboyZee(op):
While listening to Pastor David Wale Feso's preaching this morning from 9.45 am to 10.00 am, I realized that the man is just full of crap.

1. This morning he sermonized that all Bayelsa and Ijaw babes just pack their bags and rush into a man's house as soon as the man toasts her. This is a big fat lie he is telling. Whoever gave him that information is full of lies and a son of the devil and so also is the propagator of the myth. I have lived all around Nigeria and can tell you categorically that such behaviour is not perculiar to any one tribe in the country. If I'm lying let anyone that as lived elsewhere in Nigeria prove me wrong. While I was in Lagos, I had to form quarrel with a lot of Yoruba and Igbo girls that insisted on moving into my house just because we had a fling.

2. He said the Ijaws are matriarchal in nature. This also is another big fat lie from a loud-mouthed man that could fool a lot of people to pay for radio time for him to propagate his crapish messages. The Ijaws I repeat are NOT MATRIARCHAL but PATRIARCHAL in nature. They bear their father's names and are indigent to their father's side. But, however, if one chooses to identify with his mother's people no one will object to that. I know this practice is not peculiar to just the Ijaws, it is common everywhere and not just in Nigeria. Now, how on earth does that translate to being matriarchal.

3. I don't think it is right for any preacher to use a whole tribe as an example during his or her sermons, especially when it has got to do with unfounded truths and wrong notions, even moreso in Nigeria, where tribal affiliations and linkages are very closely guarded, irrespective of religion. I wish to appeal to Mr David Feso to please divulge himself from such and desist from such habits as his sermon this morning was ill-conceived, judgmental and in bad faith. He should rather restrict himself to his con business as a wordsmith rather than picking on tribes for unsolicited insults.

Dear Nairalanders, I would like all those who listened to the sermon this morning to bare their minds on this one. Note that today, he is insulting the Ijaws, tomorrow, he could be insulting your tribe. As the saying goes, What is good for the geese is good for the gander and also bear in mind that a stitch in time saves nine. Please, don't come here saying "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm".

FamilyHow Did You Feel The First Time You Became A Father? by FlyboyZee(op): 12:59pm On Jun 10, 2012
My wife was delivered of a bouncing baby boy over the weekend.
Since the start of the labour up till now, I have not had a good rest.
The stress of keeping awake from about 11.00pm till the next day and having to drive a distance of over 100km to and fro on a pothole-ridden road to keep up with a previously-scheduled important appointment, as well as the euphoria of excitement that comes with the safe delivery of a baby is taking its toll on me and I don't really know how I was feeling.

I would like the older/more experienced folks in the house to tell us how they felt the first time their first child was born?
PoliticsRe: Former Bayelsa Governor Sylva Remains In EFCC Custody by FlyboyZee: 2:08pm On Jun 06, 2012
What are you guys even saying?
Bayelsans are upset that Thiefmipre Sylva is being charged with a paltry sum of N6.5 billion Naira only. You are all here shouting GEJ this, GEJ that, when even the Thief himself, Sylva is bitter that why should they be accusing him of such a paltry sum of money, when he himself knows how much he has stolen.

Do this simple arithmetic:
N12 billion x 12 x 5 = ?

That is the approximate amount of money Sylva collected. Now take a trip round Bayelsa and tell us whether what you see in the state is conmensurate with even 1/10 of the average allocation he collected. Yet, you complain of Nigeria not fighting graft enough. If it were to be GEJ, you all would have shouted 'crucify him! crucify him!!'.

scribble: Shocked at the dull nature of your response. The fact is young Nigerians never had any government policies from OBJ that oppressed the YOUTH like GEJ's anit-masses policy of fuel subsidy removal and the MAULAG.

OBJ is more of a shrewd tactician, his policies affected the few, not the Youth (70% of the population). You do understand that a lot of these youth are not medical doctors yet, just unemployed and angry and broke.

Yet GEJ and the corrupt few keep getting rich. Until recently young NIgerians never knew just how corrupt government was. But social media has made everyone know that President Jona uses 3 million to chop cassava daily. And Madueke's son uses private jet. Then there's the N 155 billion scam.

Yet NYSC is not paid , even though there are many more martyrs amongst them than the political class.

Also do remember that the South-south did protest under the GEJ/Yaradua administration. They turned terrorists actually until bones were thrown to them.
The South-west is not blowing anything up, they are engaging in peaceful protest which is a constitutional and inalienable human right that they understand.
You see the South-west has knowledge because our leaders built us universities, and did not loot on the scale of the Ibori's Uduaghans, Akpabio's and Orji Kalu's of the world.
In general, please next time don't come to a public forum to spew shiite? Some of us are really learned and well-schooled, though we are not from your so-called well and highly-educated good-for-nothing poverty-stricken SW and we have been around for longer than you think. One other thing, don't forget we all live(d) in Nigeria and have observed with dismay how past leaders have run down our country into this sorry state we are grappling to survive from. Guy! leave this matter, we don wise up.

What is the use of education, if it cannot translate to development.?
I have said it many times on this forum that the education the South West claims to have, is rather acting like an albatross rather than a trigger for their development. I would rather belong to a society with little or no education, but high level of reasoning, development and good per personal income than one that is full of professors with very high level of poverty and little or no development at all to show for all that (wasted) education.

Well, its a pity that South Western states are so impoverished that their Governors won't even see enough funds, talk much of loot. Abi una don see somebody wey dey steal air?

This is simply because it died with the exit of your kinsman. Did anyone in the House at one time or the other hear any thing like the Haliburton scandal or the Siemen's bribery case? LOL. Was it GEJ that was at the middle of it? If like defend your bribe-bribe and thief-thief brother.

Did your "righteous" OBJ tell you how much they were spending on food per day in the state house when he was president?
Did your "clean" Yar'Adua after declaring his assets declare how much he intends to spend on food per day in the state house?
Now, here is a president declaring what has been proposed by people working under him for food per day for all to peruse and see for themselves what people (Nigerians) working for the Government are up to, and then you use it against him. If he (GEJ) had behaved like your Egba uncle and the others and decide not to declare that item in the budget, would have been strutting your snout about?

Now take this home, go to the Government House of your home state and ask your Governor to declare how much they have budgeted for food per day. Do that, then come to NL and lets see how you can open your mouth and talk.

Your OBJ's policies of total infrastructural decay and selective (mal)administration of justice combined with the introduction of the culture of impunity took Nigeria 50 years backwards. Now, my beloved NL'ders, did his (OBJ's) (mal)administration affect only children and the aged (30% according to your statistics, wherever you got that from?)? Its like I am missing something here, It's like the youths (70% of Nigerians, according to your information) were all out of the country, not yet born, properly and gainfully employed, rich (made) or were all medical doctors when your Egba cousin held sway as the Head of Government in Nigeria.

First , Let me thank you for the insult.
Like you observed, OBJ never had any policies that oppressed the youth, but did you by anyway hear any thing like "Your policies do not have human face" during the OBJ (mal)administration? His Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Audu Ogbeh had to be shown the way out of the cabinet because he (Ogbeh) told his boss (OBJ) that Nigerians are suffering too much from his policies and as such should try to put a human face to his policies. I guess you were not in nigeria then or most probably you were in the moon preparing to come down with Apollos II. SMH at you.

What kinda Nigeria is this self?

When OBJ ruled, he did as he liked, how many of those funny, silly cretinous Lagosians protested?
Whom did Yar'Adull consult before taking his decisions?
Now that GEJ is president, the only thing you hear about his decisions are "it is not timely", "the timing is wrong", "he should have consulted with the people", etc.

Why is it that, the Yorubas must protest over every & any thing GEJ does? Why didn't they protest when that Egba Baboon from Ogun State was president, even when he (OBJ) witheld Lagos State's funds for as long as it pleased him. Why didn't they protest when BRF sacked the entire Medical Doctors in Lagos? If that act (sacking) was done by GEJ, they would have closed down Lagos and all their mumu states in protests. What annoys me most is when all those foolish people from other tribes join in, not knowing that some people are using them to pursue a yoruba/ACN agenda of discrediting whatever the president does. God is watching all of una.
PoliticsRe: Democracy Day, Jonathan 1st year, How Is Power Supply In Your Area? by FlyboyZee: 10:46am On May 29, 2012
@ all posters above,
lets be objective & not be quick to blame everything on GEJ, even if he has not met our expectations.
Before you complain of power supply in your area, try and make a little comparison with the past.

For Instance:
During Gen. Sani Abacha's time, How was electricity in your area? Compare that to Gen. Abdusalam's time, Obasanjo's administration, Dr. Umar Yar'Adua's government and then to the present, GEJ's regime. It might actually surprise you to know that there has been some form of improvement in power generation. The major problem is that of distribution. Many of the transformers are old, obsolete and thorouhly overloaded. There might be general supply but your area mighy still be in darkness because of transformer issues. Moreover, a lot of Nairalanders have been hugging transformers of late, so what do you expect? If there is 1 thing I would give to GEJ & his Lootocrats, it would be in the improvement on power generation.

If like causinsult me, the truth still stands as I have said it. Ask anybody that works in power generation, they will coroborate my claims. I wrest my claim.

PoliticsRe: Best Governor And Fastest Developing States In Nigeria? by FlyboyZee: 9:47am On May 25, 2012
Most posters have been mentioning some names such as Godswill Akpabio, Rotimi Amaechi, Rochas Okorocha, Adams Oshiomhole, Sullivan Chime and so on. Don't dare to give any of them Lagos to govern, 'Cos the State (Lagos) will crumble and fail under them.

As far as I am concerned BABATUNDE FASHOLA is the man.

Reasons
Lagos is a City State. That is to say, the whole of Lagos state is a city on its own.
If you know what it takes to keep a city clean, spike and span, then you will understand my drift.
The challenges any Governor of Lagos faces is like half the total problem Nigeria as a nation faces.
Development, IMHO, is not just about construction, renovation and refurbishment. The ability to keep the economy afloat without Federal Government's allocation is a great job that very very, I mean very few Governors can do. They all look unto Abuja to do all those things you are shouting about here.
