I don't trust news coming from our anticorruption agencies. They like sensationalisation too much without any investigation. They know that Nigerians are so gullible with fake news. All these news would put them in a good light as if they are working. See how EFCC is embarrassing themselves with Diezanni gold bra and millions of loots claimed to have recovered, yet they still couldn't convict her. I don't take their news serious. They should do proper investigation like FBI and piece their findings together into a proper documents that could nail the culprits instead of all these media headlines. |
Honestly, the first poster above is sick. Must everything be seen from the angle of tribe? Igbos should drop this their herd mentality. Hired to clean up which mess? He didn't know that the previous MD is from SE? Stupidity and ignorance are usually deadly when combined. |
If you are a low income earner, just save. No need investing. But if you are a big earner, investing sure pass. Real estate if you can or in raw foods. Naira is on a free fall. |
They should come and take Rohr from Nigeria if Amadu Picknick will allow. He knows how to build teams from the scratch. Barca needs rebuilding and Gernat Rohr is the right person ![]() |
Nigerian professional footballers retiring so early while their supposed "age mate" from other countries are still firing from all cylinders. It showed that our players are far above their quoted age. Nigeria player that claimed "32" years of age will retire while his mate from Europe is still playing |
He better stay where he is in form. Ask Hazard how far? |
I feel your pain bro. I was in the same shoe, though the pay was reasonable and opportunity to learn and grow were there. The pressure of investment banking and the unending stress of commuting was putting so much strain on my mental health. Having saved enough, got my own place, I resigned to set up my own outfit. It has been five years now. The money is not flowing as I would have loved, nevertheless, the peace of mind and fulfillment is priceless. I missed my yearly bonuses, housing and medical allowances and profit share. My consulting outfit has not matched up to my former salary. But I am still holding on. However, if you don't have any alternative and have not saved enough, please, don't resign. It is not funny out there. When you stay home for months without anything, you will know how far. When I set up myself for consultancy, I stayed for seven months without any income - no fee as there was no client. It was my former employer that gave me the first chance and that was the only fee I made in that year. Nevertheless, don't give up and guard your heart jealously because out of it comes the issues of life. |
The guy must be from Anambra state. That's the new rage now. Mums are also encouraging their sons to be sure say the thing don enter before any wedding. There is no more trust on the women folk. |
Youth this; youth that. That's what you normally here in Rivers State, where majority are idle and looking for youth's leadership positions that add no value. Just to find cheap money. Contest for youth's leadership positions are usually bloody and violent in Rivers. My client in Onne is constantly harassed for contracts by these youth leaders, yet they would not deliver on the agreed terms stated in the purchase order. Tell them to supply something as little as nylon bags, they will just collect the mobilization fee and run. |
There is no hope for this country. The youths are behaving like the politicians. Imagine the nonsense that would come when these types takes the mantle of leadership? Countries greatness are projected based on the quality of their youth populations. Here, our youths are fond of glamourising rubbish. |
Let the airport road remain safe. That's my worry. That airport road should be manned 24hours by security personnel. It would be a soft target for all those robbers since the road passed through villages known for strifes, violent crimes and armed robbery. People landing in that airport are not going to umureri. Some would be going to Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi,Enugu or even to other neighbouring States like Kogi and Delta. The importance of secured airport road can't be over emphasize. Congratulations! |
OlogoJ:Na cooking gas dem go share next. |
Coded babe. See how she take style dey praise her sister in law because na dem fit give am wahala. That accusation of infidelity seems real based on this shallow water posts on her instastories. She is just consoling her self. I pity the husband. I can't withstand a cheating girl friend talk more of a wife. |
IPOB and their supporters are the most stupid set of people I have ever seen. You think you are doing other people; you are doing your self. SE economy is in shambles and touts are imposing lockdown and intimidating people. There has not been any major foreign direct investment in SE in the past ten years. Graduates from the region are moving out in droves to other regions. SE people should borrow sense abeg. IPOB has lost its initial goodwill. |
Aforxzy:Wawu! This one heavy o. But those curvey beams would be visible at the end? |
n3xt:Clearer. Thanks |
n3xt:Ok. Good. There are about 4 blocks |
rmx:Good one bro. But is that cantilever up to 2.25m? I thought it should be longer |
rotecch77:The house is clean. |
rotecch77:Rotecch on the beat. This is beautiful |
n3xt:That was what I was asking and wants to do. But the area would be transparent at night when light is on, making passersby to see the inside. I am considering the frosting suggested by rotecch. The frosting would be in small equal rectangular pattern, capable of blocking views from outside at night when light is on Do you intend to put burglary here? It is what I hate to put, but have no choice. |
Clout chasers? Who snapped the picture? He asked someone to snap and send the pictures to him. |
I don't know why some Igbos are still hating on this man. He did what he could do at that material time. Trust me, Igbos should be greatful that Gowon was the head of state when Biafra catapulated. Imagine if Murtala Mohamed, Danjuma or some one like Buhari was the head of state. It would have been a different ball game. He stood his ground and gave strict code of conduct to the field commanders in the East Central state to behave professionally. That was why there were no mass scale execution after the war. The only known member of the Biafra government cabinet member that was killed after the war was Professor Kalu Ezira, the political adviser to the Biafran government that came late to the Uli airport when ojukwu was about to leave Biafra. |
Nigeria's real estate agents and being a pastor on one hand. There is nothing wrong in being both. However,if I am about to transact any real estate business and you tell me that you are a pastor. My brother, that's the end of that transaction. I hate to transact business with "men of God". |
EgunMogaji2:Cantilevers are always beauty to behold when properly done, especially those with lengthy protrusion. My fear has been the engineer getting his structural calculations right to ensure stability. |
n3xt:You can take on the challenge . True true, I like well- protruded front view of the house cantilever without any visible support. The structural engineer must be good enough to know how to maintain the required balance that will carry the cantilever. Otherwise, na gbesse you go see |
kkonsults:Bravo bro! I love well delivered cantilever without any structural problem. Is it possible to hit 2.5m for the front of the house only without any pillar? |
EgunMogaji2:Egun, it would have been ok but the windows in your post seemed quite elevated. I won't be able to see the outside surroundings at that window level. I want to have the luxury of viewing through a clear fixed glass windows, both at day and night without being noticed by passersby. |
The quality of air in PH is nothing to write home about. Just touch any smooth surface and would be surprised at the thickness of the black sooth that your fingers picks. In fact the client that contributes close to 85% of my annual consultancy fee is based in PH. I visit him to work regular and the cleaners cleans the guest house everyday, all the windows and every furniture and by evening, if you touch any surface, you will still see soothes. So, imagine what people breath if these amount of soothes are settling on surfaces. |
n3xt:Ok. thanks. The summary from other responders is that it is impracticable to see such. It must reflect at night when light is on, making it possible for people outside to see the inside. I have asked glass dealers but couldn't get such glass. The area is a private living room that we want to put fixed glass windows all through without covering it with curtains or blinds. Just plain fixed glass. |
rotecch77:Rotecch, with the electrostatic film, you won't be able to see your outside surroundings abi? |
RockOfAgesAlumi:Thanks bro. We are not using it for room window but want to put it in an area where one could sit and see the outside surroundings. We don't intend to put curtains or blinds on the window. However, some one outside is still able to see the inside when you put on light at night which we don't want. |
