BrickDevo:Excellent! My love for gigantic windows? Burglaries always distorts the beauty. |
KolaShangOne:Is that white sofa there fabric or leather? Is there a way of getting original pure white velvet fabric? Most white materials are in leather or artificial rubber. I need pure white velvet. |
I blame IPOB for this. This should have been somewhere in the East with all the money spent there but the troubling insecurity has made lots of diasporans to remain abroad. Some that dare to come back are hold up in choice apartments and hotels in Lagos for the Christmas. I know two weddings in my village that were supposed to hold this Christmas but the celebrants have cancelled all that and informed us that their traditional marriages would now hold in Houston, where they are based. There are always long term effects of insecurity and violent crimes. |
Typical affluent Nigerian mentality - Do you know who I am ![]() |
Why are the sons of this Moroccan king looking funny? Morocco has been following Buhari up and down just for him to drop his support for the Arab republic of Zawahi. I hope i got the name. The territory in the Western sahara desert republic in Morocco fighting for independence. President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister then arm-twisted the king to recognize the state of Israel and in return, both Countries recognized Moroccan right over the whole of the Western Sahara desert republic much to the dismay of African Union and ECOWAS. In international politics, no permanent enemy but permanent interest. Buhari should use Nigeria's position to get more diplomatic victories as Morocco needs Nigeria more in its conflict with the secessionist western sahara desert republic. |
Broveens42:I don't even know all these people you mentioned. The truth is that the standards and quality of actors and production have gone down. I hardly watch Nollywood except if I am in a hotel and may be, finds myself in the reception area, which normally shows Nollywood I was a fan in the 90s through the mid 2000 when those actors I mentioned held sway. These days, I just waka pass. I cant even mention any current actor or actress in the Nollywood unlike in the mid 90s through 2000s that I knew practically all of them. |
This local actor! I don't know why I don't find him interesting to watch. My opinion though The time of Clem Ohameze, Emmanuel Udokwu, Amaechi Muonago, Osuofia, Emeka Ike, Noah, Jide Kosoko, Kanayo, Kenneth Okonkwo and so many other great male actors in the past were interesting to watch |
Yes. It is taxable. The new Personal Income Tax Amendment Act 2011 has now brought everything under the tax net. As long as the expenses were incurred on behalf of staff, the monetary equivalent should form part of the staff total emoluments for any relevant year and tax accordingly. |
Imagine if he had won the election, would the court still have given this judgement? |
Not up to 10% of the money would be paid back. People see CBN intervention funds as avenue to chop their own national cake. |
NGO work reward is good. However, they only select those already working with them or those with UN experience. This I can tell you for free. Very difficult to enter except through recommendation by well connected insider. Otherwise, the post is usually filled by those working in the organization already but may be in different department but wants to switch to another department. |
Go and make money first. This is always what I tell the male folks. Focus on your success first. If opportunity comes for you to chop, chop and move on and continue chasing your dreams. When it clicks, they will be all over you. |
They've started jubilating that Tinubu would become president. After one year, you will see them in the travel section, seeking advice on how to travel out of the country. The same way they routed for Buhari and most are now looking for ways to japa. |
spyder880:I agree. My next retirement home is going to be a two bedroom bungalow with high head room like this one you did. I am done with duplex. Once I am ready, I will simply demarcate my current duplex into mini flats and self contained. I already designed it to be easier to be demarcated and converted to self contained for letting. |
Na ladder you go dey climb to change bulbs or to do anything on the ceiling. The head room is quite imposing and intimidating. |
ziondaughter247:Even their Lordships knows wealth when they see one. As a poor man, you don't dare invite them to any thing. Their personal assistants won't even allow you to see them. They attend to the rich alone. |
One of the questions I asked a primary school friend then in Onitsha. I was excited that I would be going to the village on December 23, 1990. I asked him why their family always stayed at Onitsha when everyone had gone to their villages during Christmas and Easter. He said he is from Onitsha and had no village to go to. We were age mate then, just 11 years and living in the same area in Onitsha. It was my mum that explained better to me why my friend, Obiora had no village to visit as he is an Osha boy. ![]() |
Salvofthesouth:Anything government in this part of the world is so distasteful. Our standards are terribly low. |
The divorce threat from rude boy's wife really humbled rudeboy. I am sure he wasn't expecting his wife to go to that extent. He immediately sued for peace, reconciled with his brother and wants the family to settle all issues amicably. Pride and arrogance is never good. |
Even Turkey All these countries using Africa to catch cruiseChina - Africa Summit India - Africa Summit EU - Africa Summit US - Africa Summit Any country that wants to feel important will invite African leaders to their country for one stupid summit or the other. Summit that adds no value and I trust my president to attend. |
Fegge - The behemoth that refused to live up to its potential. Seeing Onitsha from the banks of River Niger at night from the Asaba end, when NEPA light is on in many homes and buildings, portends a bustling cosmopolitan city with all the trappings of affluence and wealth. Soludo needs to rejig the Onitsha city in total. The city is not living up to its potential. |
FIRS and other government agencies cannot even do audit of automated system presented by a company. Give them access to your system for them to carry out their tax audit work, they will ask you to print out everything. |

Majority of Nigerian youths won't waste time to scam you if presented with an opportunity. I avoid a lot of them, especially those that looks like the guy in the picture |
The funny thing is that 99% of the graduands never chose Vet as their preferred course. Circumstances pushed them to the course. |
I got more than 150 of this kind of mails in my hay days as applicant after my first degree. In fact, after my masters degree in UK, I got up 200 of this kind of mails. I am not joking. Just keep hope alive. Don't give up |
Poverty and religion are inseparable. I don't know why poor people are the ones that are overly over religious. Same with them here in Nigeria, with all due apologies. Give these urchins US or EU visa, they will jettison their religion and take flight. |
Damboa, the town I would have made my highest fee as a solo consultant courtesy of an international NGO that gave a short term consulting job there. Family pressure and other considerations made me to turn down the offer despite the gruelling two-stage interviews I went through to be selected as the preferred bidder. |
If it is an international NGO, ie INGO, you may consider the offer as they provide adequate security and help their staff secure accommodation in secure areas. There is also prospect of growth and development. You can build a viable and fulfilling career working for an NGO. I was supposed to go to Borno sometimes in 2020, Damboa to be precise, for a consulting work, on invitation of an INGO, with adequate security and other things, but I declined, on one part because of my family and two, the unfamiliarity of the place. Nevertheless, NGO provides an uncommon opportunity for career growth and advancement. If you are single, consider the NGO but if you are married and have family, you may stay put in Ogun. |
This man that goofed and announced the wrong candidate as Ms World that year. |
With the disappointing run of form of our Politicians since independence, do you think that British rule over Nigeria up to the 1990s would have been better for Nigeria? Me, I think so. The incompetence of Nigerian leaders sometimes made me regret the independence of Nigeria at that early stage. I believe that continuous British rule up till the 90s would have been more impactful than this appalling performance from our leaders. |
