I'm not wishing them bad. I wish everyone of them well as far as Covid-19 is concerned. There's an adage in my language which says when translated "You don't mock someone over sickness or death". Why? Because it may be your turn one day. Whether they treated us well or not, God will be the only one to judge them.
Let's pray for them to recover.

I wish I can like this comment more than once.

DuBLINGreenb:
Including stupidity of African leaders
Once upon a time Asians were hated more than Africans in USA and Europe in fact USA ban them from entrying USA while Africans were never out rightly ban from entrying or working in USA.
They where seen as dog eating, slum dwelling never do wells even the Japanese used to look down on the Chinese. The Arabs before oil and development in Arabia were seen as thieves hoodlums people to avoid. Every movie depicted them as thieves or con men today the media shows them as rich people even though they do worse things than they used to do when they were poor. (Killing journalists, enslaving Africans and Asian maids and labourers and working them to death, coping off people's limbs and heads, rape, sexual assault etc).

But gentlemen Today no country discriminates agaisnt Arabs and Asians Why? Because China, Japan, South Korea, UAE, Oman, Singapore etc are developed and advancing very fast. Whereas in Africa we are under developing or not moving at all.
So now we Africans/blacks bear all the hate alone if African countries develop The world can no longer tell Africans or blacks abroad "go back to your country" "jungle monkeys" and all that because they will know we have money and development equal to or even more than them.

Please if you are in this group and you have not done your WhatsApp 2 steps pin verification, kindly go and do it because the rate at which hackers are hacking and scamming peoples WhatsApp is much.

In order to prevent such a thing from happening to you because only God knows who the next victim will be.

Follow these steps:

Go to settings on your WhatsApp,

Click on Account,

Click on Two- step verification,

Enter pin,

Input your email address

And save, that's all.

If someone wants to change it, WhatsApp will ask for the Two-step verification and without it the account won't open.

Let's be cautious and safe. Stay blessed!

For me, I have done mine and I'm using it. Sometimes if I want to log in it will request for my pin.

I was sad when I saw the topic. The DSS and army are supposed to protect us from external harm but here we are discussing which one is most feared by Nigerians (who are supposed to feel safe with them around).

Nigerians don't reduce their age. No one can. They simple supply a date of birth that is being requested. That's called "compliance".
It'll be rude to tell a prospective employer that you are 30 when the advert clearly says ages 20 - 25. That doesn't mean you aren't 30 no more.
It only mean that you are following instructions.

The hotels are doing a nonsense job of hoteling. You have to keep a register of your guests with at least a valid ID card. Then have one CCTV just so each guest has a face, this way security agents can be helped if weird things happen.

A lot of these hotels would have been closed and it isn't the police, how do you run an hotel without the basics?

For me Kachukwu or Onigbinde can do whatever they want with the appointment. The position offered to Onigbinde makes his influence weak. If PMB was serious about utilizing his experience then he should have given him a position where he can make very significant positive changes. This is my opinion.

I respect a man of honor who stands by his convictions

This man has put to Shame the narative that goes "if you can't beat them join them"

We need more people like this in Nigeria

Case in point : Oshiomole, Keyamo, et al

You either stand for something, or fall for everything in life

Cheers

Edited

For those who don't understand

They are trying to silence him with an appointment where he will get big salary and bonuses and do nothing till his focus shifts to protecting his wealth hence he becomes like them

Again case Keyamo , Oshiomole et Al

Life isn't a Hollywood movie where one man refuses to bow and suddenly the whole nation starts singing and dancing change and revolution. It's more complex than that
This man isn't a Mary Sue! What can one man do in a ministry where from the administration , to accounts , to operations, to management are all corrupt and caucuses of thieves who only care about looting ?

If the government was sincere and not just intent on silencing his criticisms they should have appointed him Minister then he can effect change...an adviser can do nothing but earn fat checks and bonuses

Be realistic he didn't he best thing

Cheers

This bold part is my thought too. That was how they made Ibe Kachukwu irrelevant too when he could have done a lot more.
Politics / Re: Border Closure: Benin, Niger Economies Under Pressure by Folksyharry(m): 10:31am On Sep 16, 2019
midolian:
bro, this is not theory. It's practical. Locally produced rice for now will be very expensive because we don't have enough to go round and Nigeria being a country filled with corrupt and opportunistic people will experience a hike in the price of the available little.

Now imagine the Federal Government leaving the borders closed for another 3years,...lemme remind you that any business that brings in good money in Nigeria will be 'flooded' till the business crashes or becomes less profitable. What I am trying to say here is that, with the kind of money farmers will make during this period of border closure will encourage many more people go into farming...and before you know it, there will be more than enough to go round...and before you know it, farmers will be struggling to get people to buy their own...

Bro, this is beyond corrupt Nigerians. It's a natural thing. The price will crash.

This move by FG is long overdue. It's clear we have the capacity to grow enough rice to feed this nation. It may be uncomfortable at beginning but it will get better in the long run

Someone that was selling his people to the whites was a honest man? Oh I'm very sure he didn't sell any of his family members to the slave hunters at that time. This is very shameful, and more shameful is when a traditional ruler that is supposed to be angry about slave trade is seen and heard hailing the evil practice of slavery in 1800s.

This King needs to be dethroned ASAP!!!

I just got very angry after reading OP. What those slave traders did was barbaric. It should never be worthy of even the most minute commendation

Shameless king! He lacks diplomacy no matter how little. With his new traditional office, sane leaders are careful with what they vomit.

It isn't even about diplomacy for me; no one should be proud of selling his fellow humans as slaves. I don't expect him to carry the blame but he should have firmly denounced those actions.
