This seems an incredibly complex way to go about ridding the world of sinners, doesn't it? Not only that, it doesn't seem to have actually worked. The first time I disagree with you, who told linux has few users? I don't know why Africans love Microsoft and unbelieveable taking Apple has a friend, Are they designed for you?First you can't access its source code, its illegal for you to have a copy version. Linux helps you focus on development of your own thing rather than using finished product.
For Africa, linux is the key- you don't have to pay to own a legitimate copy and you're free to join the linux creators anytime, any student that wants to have an impact in the IT will go for linux.

This is the natural course in life, you can't use the money you didn't sweat for and expect any form of investment. It's a virus. This is part of what is now known as "the common criticism of Windows XP". The major reason why Service Pack II was out. Microsoft itself couldn't fix it. I recommend you get a Windows XP sevice pack II. Some hackers were actually responsible for that auto shutdown thing. Don't update your windows using the internet explorer because if you're in Nigeria; you know now-home of piracy .

To be honest, you may think all is poverty, but I tell that the main reason behind this cybercrime is heartlessness, and no fear of God. If you watched that video, are you saying defrauding someone of $340,000 or $3 million is poverty. This guys are really denting the image of Nigerians aboard. Let me share something with, I was in the midst of some American guys in school, when they saw my passport one of them was like "you know this guys are criminals when it comes to the internet". I just behaved I wasn't listening because, what is it to defend?
The difference between cybercrime and police collecting N20 and all the like @dipo2much said is that this bad act travels beyond the shores, therefore, destroying the reputation of Nigerians especially aboard. Innocent Nigerians are thought to be corrupt.
In conclusion, it is true that the government is bad and corrupt, we all complain- I think the bottom line is that we correct ourselves and hope that one day Nigerians will be less crime oriented and more intellectual productive.

I don't think you understood what I meant before you passed comment. Microsoft doesn't manufacture drives, the HD DVD for the 360 wasn't made by Microsoft either. What I mean is that the new xbox 360s will be having an internal Blu ray instead of the standard DVD and this is untrue. Nobody from Microsoft talks Blu ray for 360, and in fact we're not begging for it.

As far as am concerned, Xbox flaw PS3, that expensive, heavy, miserable looking machine. I know the basic reason why most Nigerians play PS is because of soccer, no more no less, with exception of a few.

I'm really doubting Harry Akande was ever the 7th richest in the world, I think it's a myth. Dangote is the richest Nigerian, not black, or Africa's richest. There are people from Egypt, South Africa and a few more African countries before Dangote. There is nothing like the 360. More games, bad titles what more? The xbox 360 is value for the money but its critics complain of overheating and bugs, since 2006, I have no complain for my baby.

At present Microsoft denies switching the HD DVD to Blu ray, however, if they switch to Blu ray, believe me, it will only be for movies and not game play, it will be senseless to have different formats for one console. Some people are even saying Microsoft will start manufacturing Blu ray drive 360s like the PS3- this is a rumour, Microsoft won't fall so low.
