What about the people that excitedly took Funke Akibdele and husband to court, who did not observe the social distancing rules? Will they be charged to court too? If we must practice social distancing to contain this pandemic (which we must), let us practice it to the latter! |
Lagos is the new London for Medicare. |
It will take a change in the attitude of the leadership of countries in Africa to change this narrative. A few countries like Rwanda has the requisite attitudinal change. But, what about Nigeria, where the leaders feel everything other than African is the best and should remain so. |
I think the 14 day restriction should have affected the entire Nigeria, not just Lagos, Abuja and Ogun. It takes one infected person on the loose in a state to have a catastrophe. |
I am expecting a prerecorded and edited speech at 7pm. |
I thought our leaders in the pictures say no need for facemask unless you are infected. Why are they wearing face masks and thereby reducing the number of facemasks to be made available for our health care workers? |
Covid-19 is like pregnancy. At the point it is contracted you may not know. A few days later, you may begin to see the signs. When it wants to show itself, you may not be able to stop it. Everybody will see and know. My dear Senators and Reps, you think you are doing us! You are doing yourselves. Remember, like pregnancy, if you have it (covid-19), it will eventually show. But it may be too late for you to terminate it. The only snag is that Covid-19 is contagious unlike pregnancy, in which case, you would have been a source of an avoidable catastrophe. |
It is unfortunate that politicians are making nonsense of our Supreme Court. What is rarely heard of the Supreme Court (i.e. tempted to reverse its decision), is now flooding the court. I blame the Justices who have allowed themselves to be so used by the politicians. I hope they get out of this impending disaster. |
This is the type of relationship we should have. The present learning from the past. The past knowing from the present what she would have done differently. NOT blame game. I think those at the top know better than their subordinates. See the camaraderie between the Buharis and Jonathan’s (husbands and wives). Yet, spokesmen of the present will be talking down on their predecessors and spitting fire and brimstone. |
What the APC (except the reasonable youth wing) is doing is like a man who refused to go to school or learn any meaningful trade but blames employers for refusing to employ him. APC should look inwards rather than blame other people for their incompetency and disregard for laid down rules. |
How beneficial is this project to the people of Ebonyi State in particular, and Nigerians in general? Is it an economically viable project? In other words, will it generate revenue for the state? What is the projected revenue per year that this project will generate? Don’t get me wrong. It could be a tourist attraction. But if that is the answer, to what end? Tourism without revenue or tourism with appreciable revenue. State funds should be used for the overall benefit of the state! |
Chai! One person rehearsed to be sworn in 24 hours ago, another person executed the rehearsal. Anyway, congrats to the people of Bayelsa State. |
This is so sad. Our politicians, irrespective of political inclination should know that they are not the first to live in Nigeria. People had come and gone, but their legacy is what matters. |
