It's obvious that President Jonathan is not the one that will blame others for his lapses. He takes responsibility unlike someone I know. Even though the security situation in Nigeria during his tenure was better than now, he still did not lambast the present government. |
Just (up to) 2 years of imprisonment ![]() ![]() ![]() ?? Rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Congrats and have a blissful marriage. |

The President of Nigeria, "Muhammadu Buhari", should honour the invitation of the House of Representatives. Things to Note: 1. He should not give any national broadcast in place of physical appearance at the National Assembly; 2. He should not be represented by anybody, e.g. the Vice President; 3. He should be given at least 2 hour slot during plenary; 4. The Speaker should not restrain any Member of the HoR from asking the "President" any question as far as the security of the country is concerned; 5. The activities of the House on the day of the invitation should be made public and televised live by all recognised TV stations, e.g. NTA, Arise, Channels, and AIT |
I would have asked many questions. But a sincere answer to my questions will end up showing that this is one of the most insensitive, inhuman, derogatory and unfathomable excuses for incompetence. I thought Boko Haram had been decimated. I thought borders were closed so that farming is encouraged. Oh, the farmers need to obtain their Pass from the Nigerian Army for them to do legitimate farming at their farms! So where were the men of the Nigerian army when over 40 farmers passed through to a place with security issues. Does it not mean that Boko Haram members could even pass with ease (of course they passed). Does this event not show that security is worse off? People in government should please respect the living by working to secure their lives, and respect the death by not blaming them for being killed. |
While certain borders are shut and these men clamour that they remain shut, there are over a 100 borders in certain locations that are open. These men should go to the borders around their states and confirm if they are shut! |
Many Nigerian politicians behave like the tennis ball. The move from one party to another without defined ideological basis. APC today, PDP tomorrow, APC day after tomorrow. Anywhere belle face and food dey to chop politicians! |
Train derailed!! Where is the train? Why are the cows scattered, including some on the train track? Where was the train coming from and where was it going to? Are there injured people in the train? Where are the train passengers? When did it happen? Where.... How....When.. What...Why..... ? |
debbiebianca2:Misusing the name of God. How can a pastor and supposed Christians pray for spiritual election thuggery and spiritual election malpractice? |
jenny005:One of the most insensitive and ignorant statements I have seen in recent times. |
Those that say that the CNN lied about the events at Lekki Toll gate on 20.10.2020, should pray that the security forces should treat them the way the security forces treated the protesters on 20.10.2020. All of you on this platform that believe the FGN view above CNN view should make the prayer above, if you are sincere with yourselves. |
I am really tired of this Nigerian government. They insist on doing what the majority of the governed does not want. They insist on flouting constitutional provisions. I’ll not be shocked if they amend the constitution against the people’s wish. I’ve read about dictatorship, and I’m seeing a semblance of one with this government. |
This seems to be a move to accommodate Gov. Umahi. Why is it that in Nigeria, institutions are adjusted to meet individual desires, instead of people adjusting their lives to conform with institutional requirements? It is really unfortunate that we continue to show that our institutions are weak. |
Where is Obigbo in Rivers State? |
I cannot say that CNN's report is fake news or not. What I notice is that the story goes with pictorial and video evidence. But if you insist that the story is fake, just do a simple thing. Say "Amen" or "God forbid" to what I am going to say. "May you and your family members be treated the way the Nigerian Army, the police and others accused in the 20-10-2020 Lekki issue, treated the peaceful protesters". If you insist that the protesters were treated humanely and not shot at, say "Amen". If you think the peaceful protesters were treated poorly, say "God forbid"! |
Na wa o! Disappointment again! After lifting our hope! Hmm! |
Orpe7:Thank you. I am no longer interested! |
GOOOGLE504:WWHHAAATTT!!!! |
Gullah:Thank you. There is hope! |
Gullah:Please o, how many minutes to go o! |
Sportz:In as much as I believe that God does miracles. I think faith without works is death. How would a man walk into a German toilet and come out of French toilet? So, for him to go back to Germany, he has to go into a French toilet, to appear in German toilet. Hmm!!! Well, the pastor's story is not first hand, so it could be hearsay. and should not be taken as a statement of true facts. I am not saying that the pastor is lying o! At least, he was reporting what was he was told. The person to be confronted with a barrage of questions is the "spiritual son". |
adenigga:Good point from Mr. Governor. But there are a thousand and one persons that need to have their accounts frozen and investigated (if that is the right procedure). These persons are the Nigerian politicians. I however question the procedure because, I expected investigation first before freezing of the accounts (if need be). |
benjackugo:I do pray for Nigeria and the leaders, but I know that prayer without action is worthless. Remember, "Faith without work is death". Both the leaders and the followers need to deliberately work for the good of this nation. |
thebosstrevor1:In my opinion, the youths' struggle was not for any of the existing political parties or for any known politician or change of any democratically elected government. The protest was geared towards actualizing good governance in Nigeria in an atmosphere of peace and proper accountability to the people. |
The approach the government is taking is pathetic. It reminds me of the days of military rule in Nigeria. I expected something better from democratic leadership. |
lalasticlala:The executive director of Enough is Enough, Yemi Adamolekun, asks for good governance and government's accountability. So this is one of the strategies employed by this government to clamp down on the people's voice. |
EBMedia:This is absolutely and unequivocally reprehensible. If the story is true and NBA does not do anything or fails to achieve success in the prosecution of the DPO and his cohorts, I will come back to this platform to call the NBA or the court (whichever lets the culprits escape justice) toothless bulldogs. While growing up, I was taught that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man. I'll reserve my comments on what I think about the judiciary until the end of this case!!! |
drinoayo:I don't think it is advisable to make defamatory statements and be pleased with yourself. |
deantimes:I don't think it is right to paint everybody with one brush. There were different categories of people during the EndSARS protest. There were the peaceful protesters, who were indeed peaceful and clamoured for good governance and end to police brutality; there were thugs (maybe political thugs), who were engaged by undisclosed persons to disrupt the peaceful EndSARS protest and even cause mayhem against the peaceful protesters; there were the hoodlums, who on diverse reasons engaged in destruction of property and vented anger on both the private and public enterprises; and there were the larger population of people, who were ridden with poverty, so used the opportunity to scavenge for food (palliatives). So, I do not think it is fair for the federal government to put everybody including the destroyers of public property and looters, as EndSARS protesters, with the aim of punishing perceived leaders of the peaceful protest. The peaceful protest should be divorced from the looters of shops and the destructive thugs. I'll advise the government to work towards actualizing peaceful coexistence, promoting good governance and meeting their developmental programmes (campaign promises) so that Nigeria will not see a repeat of anger or distrust. I'll further advise every political office holder to revisit the Constitution he/she swore to uphold and read through to assess him/herself. |
The laughter does not make sense to me. Or was he mimicking Trump? What edification can be got from the laughter that made members of the congregation to stand up and laugh along? I need to see the full video to know how the clergy got to that point of laughter (on media saying Biden won the election) and what he said or happened thereafter. |
nairavsdollars:THE NIGERIAN ELECTORATES SHALL HENCEFORTH BE THE KINGMAKERS, NOT INDIVIDUALS. THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE SHALL RESIST THE TEMPTATION OF TRADER MONEY, HUMANITARIAN PACKAGES, PEANUTS, EMPTY PROMISES, ETC THAT WILL BE SPREAD BY THE CURRENT PROBLEMS (POLITICIANS), AND VOTE FOR WELL MEANING INDIVIDUALS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. |
