The RRS members that assisted the stranded lady deserve every accolade. I wish I'll be able to see them to specially appreciate them.

It is unconstitutional for the Nigerian Police to say that it will not allow any protest in Lagos. If the people cry out for good governance and they are not getting it, they are entitled to express their grievance through peaceful protest like that of EndSARS. The people I expect the police to warn, are mischievous persons that are implanted among peaceful protesters, hired thugs that are engaged to disrupt peaceful protest, and persons who in any guise engage in riot or looting. Warning against peaceful protest in my opinion, may be counter productive. Please, the police warning should be against wanton destruction of public and private property. The police should uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The management of the hotel should be liable for the death caused by their faulty facility.

We are happy in Nigeria. but it will be difficult to pull this off in Nigeria with the indigene nonsense. A Yoruba man that has lived and done very well in the north will not even imagine contesting in the north. A south-south man in the west, would be told that he is from the south-south and should not imagine getting any appreciable votes in the west, and the story is same all over Nigeria. Yet, we are happy that Nigerians are winning elections in other countries.

Nigerians should prepare for re-colonization, courtesy of the current government's reckless appetite for borrowing. If the basis for borrowing will repay the loans. that would be another story. But knowing the decadent state of Nigeria, self-repayment is unlikely.

Congratulation on her success. Hopefully, this result will translate to a successful future and her future services will be solutions to global issues. She needs to be encouraged.

What played out in Lagos and other states were unfortunate but avoidable. Avoidable, if people understood the economic potentials of heritage sites that need to be guarded, e.g. the High Court of Lagos, the Court of Appeal (former Supreme Court), "NEPA" building, the Prisons (Correctional Centres) and the Oba's Palace. People will understand the value of heritage sites when they are not hungry and where they trust their leaders.
Well, I hope that we will all come out of this wreckage and be better. Better as a people, better as leaders, better politically, better economically and better socially (good neighbourliness).

My thought, but it may be a wrong analysis:
- The President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces ["CnC"], so he controls the Nigerian Army.
- The Nigerian Army said Gov. Sanwo-Olu invited them. I believe that for such invitation to be made, the CnC must know, his permission must be sought and if the Nigerian Army accepted the Governor's invitation, the CnC must have permitted the Nigerian Army.
- The Nigerian Army then accepted the Governor's invitation to quell the "unrest" in Lagos [NB. I am not saying that there was unrest at Lekki Toll gate]
- Though the Nigerian Army had accepted Governor Sanwo-Olu's invitation, some men in army uniform invaded the Lekki Toll gate peaceful protest ground and opened fire.
- Where then was the invited Nigerian Army during the invasion by the uniform shooters?
-How come the invited Nigerian Army did not take down the "imposter uniformed shooters"?
- How come the imposter uniformed shooters had a field day and left unscathed from the invited Nigerian Army?
- Why was the CnC who had the power to permit the invitation of the Nigerian Army silent for a long time?
- If the shooting was done by unknown uniformed men, should the CnC not reprimand the Nigerian Army for not getting the imposters after he had permitted the Nigerian Army to go Lagos due to the curfew.

As I said, my thoughts may be poor, but I think, they may assist the government in resolving the lingering issues (1) Who shot at the Lekki Toll gate?; (2) Who ordered the shooting; and (3) Where are the shooters?

Segalink created the #EndSARS hashtag in 2016 and he has helped many youths that have been illegally detained and robbed by policemen.

He was subsequently made a member of the Presidential Panel for the Reform of SARS.

He holds bachelors and masters degrees in estate management from the University of Lagos and he has worked as media adviser to Chief Tom Ikimi and some other politicians in the PDP. He has also worked at Dove Media, the media arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

OP, you may have mixed up Patience Udoh's picture. Please confirm, as the one you posted is not the picture of the Patience Udoh on the panel.

We have drifted very very close to a state of anarchy. To avoid plunging into that state completely, the government has to do something very very fast. The inequality in the country, stemming from the We versus Them disparity (i.e. The People v. The Politicians), could be the root cause of the people's anger, which had been bottled up for a very long time. The government needs to speedily narrow the wide gap between the Politicians and the People.

If this dangerous trend of looting (may I call it open theft) is not nipped in the bud, it may grow into a monster that may take more efforts to defeat (if at all defeated).

What nonsense? Is it that no warehouse (whether government or privately owned) is safe in this country. Is this hunger or theft?

Is NBC the Judicial Panel of Inquiry? How did it come to the conclusion that the pictures and videos aired as events were ongoing were fake?

I saw that visit on TV and how Fashola "discovered" the camera, that the TV camera was already focusing on before Fashola "discovered" it. To me, I may be wrong, I think the TV cameraman was positioned for Fashola to "discover" the camera. Hmmmm! I wonder why people cleaned the environment for days but did not see the camera. I remember Mungo Park!

Man is inherently wicked. It means that many people that walk beside you are thieves and vandals. Poverty cannot be an excuse for vandalism. Is it poverty that will make people to vandalize a fellow poor man's property? Is it poverty that will make people to destroy public facilities meant for the poor (BRT in Lagos in my mind)? Is it poverty that will make people to burn public buildings (EkoDisco in my mind)? Is it poverty that will make people vandalize court buildings? The truth is that man's wickedness came to the fore in Nigeria and he was unable to curb it.

PS: If you fall under the definition of "Man" based on your action, you'll know.

The poor cannot steal from the poor and expect happiness in the land. We were used against ourselves to divert the genuine request for good governance. Why attack supermarkets and stalls where the poor work to feed their families? Why attack means of public transportation (BRT) that is popularly used by the poor masses? Why attack any place that the poor masses work? I appeal to everybody being used to cause mayhem in Nigeria to have a rethink. You have increased the level of poverty in the land by your act. Please STOP! Please STOP!! Please STOP!!!

It is obvious the protest has been successful hijacked by hoodlums and terrorist. I blame the government for not providing adequate security back up for the protesters.

The protest now has successfully turned to tribal war between the Yorubas and Hausa in Fagba area of Lagos which has claimed many lives and properties.
We are praying now not to have Yorubas and Igbo fight because many people have been saying why didn't the Igbo burn any house in the east and even when the pictures surfaces online the Yorubas are not satisfied because no attack on the palace of Obi of Onitcha or any king.

Young lives and dreams has been cut off and many families will never recover from this while some will bounce back if God Willing.

Yesterday while the attack on Ojodu police station was ongoing, shops close to the police station were looted and someone share a video about a woman crying " Please leave my market, I collected LAPO money to stock my shop. The woman was crying, she couldn't come close to the hoodlums and only God know the woman health condition now.

Falz, abeg reason we wey we no get passport photograph not to talk of International Passport, nor visa to run comot.

Let End Protest and make peace.

He is bold to speak since many of us are afraid to speak in the open for fear of extra judicial killing. That is why he said he is not afraid to die, as everybody will die one way or the other any day.

It seems obvious that Gov of Lagos, Babajide Sanwolu should have switched sides with the president on right speeches and responses to #EndSARS issues.

I am sorry to say this, as I’m not used to abusing anybody. But this time, I’ll say it’s foolishness to ascribe #EndSARS protest to political influence. Mr. Adesina, I was beaten mercilessly by men of SARS in 2016 for speaking my mind. Are you saying that my agitation to end SARS was politically motivated? Did anybody tell you that I belong to any political party? Please, do not aggravate an already tensed polity. We have come to realize that it is better for you (people at the federal level) to keep quiet rather than say anything about the crises we have found ourselves. I think our governors should be empowered to treat security issues.

Why will a country be on fire and the president is nowhere to be found? The president is even mute! When he had a meeting with his ministers (FEC meeting) he said nothing about #LekkiMassacre of 20.10.2020. President Muhammadu Buhari’s silence is killing this nation politically and economically. He needs to speak and act swiftly. In acting, he should be just and fair! We need a restoration of civility in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Army disrespected the Nigerian Flag. The Lekki protesters were peaceful, they sat down on the floor and waved hundreds of the Nigerian flag, yet the bullets rained on them.

This is terrible. The videos show peaceful protest. So, why will the police take this brutal and inhuman action against peaceful protesters? Come to think of it, this is even in Abuja, the Head Quarters of the Nigeria Police, the place where the Inspector General of Police stayed to release the caution against SARS. Yet, it is the police in Abuja that is taking this inhuman action. The truth be told, SARS is like a pandemic. I am not a yahoo boy, I do not dress roughly, I do not keep dread locks, I do not have tattoos (none of the mentioned is a reason for SARS irresponsible actions), but in 2016, I was beaten mercilessly by 6 SARS officers (who used a commercial bus) for excusing them for me to pass on a road. These me used guns on my knees, gave me terrible knocks on my neck and tried to bring me down to the mud. I ended up in hospital the next day. Fortunately, the medical assessment showed that I had no internal bleeding or fracture (though I had terrible pains). Interestingly, when I went to the police station in the area to complain, the policemen claimed that the men of SARS were not from their station.
