FamilyRe: Husbands: Is It Risky To Marry A Woman Above Age 25 If You Want Kids? by GboyegaD(m): 10:57am On May 07, 2023
Dimaya:
If you're certain the counsel isn't useful, please feel free to disregard it. In infertility, there are male and female factors. For females, there are ovarian, tubal, uterine and hormonal factors.

Male fertility is useless if the woman isn't ovulating. From clinical experience, we know women have 300,000 to 400,000 eggs at puberty and shed an average of 12, 020 annually. That puts the woman's reproductive window within 25-27 years.

If she attains menarche (starts her menses) between ages 10 and 12, she'll run out of viable eggs at age 35 to 39. It is common sense to counsel men who want children to avoid women whose eggs are about to run out

I'm actually qualified to speak on this.

It's the same common sense to advise women to avoid marrying unemployed men.

I guess you must be older than 25, and the counsel hits a bit too close to home.
You might be qualified however, you are biased and this taints your authority.

That said, male fertility is as important as female fertility. There's no need to downplay any of them.

I am more than 25 and interestingly, I got married in my 30s and so is my wife and we are parents without worries.

Your decisions matter. There's lots of women who get married in school. The longer women wait to start their families, the harder it gets to have children.

Half of unmarried, educated women above 30 are having difficulties with conception. And most of them have bought into this bogus lie that the longer you wait, the better it becomes
It will be nice to keep quiet than write this unfounded thoughts in your head. To know your warped mind feels all fertility issues are from the females tells your level of ignorance. Don't let your access to internet expose you further.

RomanceRe: Share Your Embarrassing Moment, While On A Date by GboyegaD(m): 4:00pm On May 06, 2023
One of my 1st dates was very awkward when I think about it. We had just started dating and we went to a fast food restaurant. There I was talking about my future home as though we had agreed to getting married. At the end, it was some weird conversation as rather than focus on ourselves, we were focused on each other's family and the kind of family we intended to have.

FamilyRe: Between Your Mom And Dad, Who Gave You The Real Beating Of Your Life? by GboyegaD(m): 5:11pm On May 05, 2023
Hmmm.... very difficult to place since my beatings were very minimal/few. I would rather say my dad because my stubbornness earned me some occasional undeserved slaps if that counts as beatings of one's life.

We talk about our lecturers not been up to standard and now I know why they cannot. When most people believe the free time of a lecture is to hustle and not develop himself and do research, what do we expect?

FamilyRe: My Dad Insists That My Fiancée Must Take Fertility Test Before Marriage by GboyegaD(m): 7:09pm On May 03, 2023
I don't think you should marry the lady as it is obvious you are not yet ready to get married. Sooner than later, your father will need control your home and that will only bring more troubles and you will surely accuse the lady of not been submissive, has temper issues, etc.

EducationRe: Share Your Secondary School Wicked Senior Experience by GboyegaD(m):
Senior Debo Fawehinmi was one never to forget. He was in SS2 when I was in JS1. He wasn't only wicked, he was a bully.

It was normal to ride junior students Horace, his was way above roof. He will flog us every night claiming someone touched his bed, someone came around his corner, and all unfounded reasons. He comes in after prep and so you hear is "everybody gan bunk i.e. everyone should climb on their bunk" and the flogging starts. Some juniors will promise their provisions, he beats and ensures they redeem their promise which was a double way loss.

He collected my Mathematical Set and US Army bag that was bought for me at the beginning of second term. Whenever we were going home for mid term, I had to wait for him cos I can't go home without the bag and that was the only time the bag was mine.

He would do silly things in conjuction with Senior Shola. For example, carry a junior with his mattress to the courtyard, wrap himself in his bedsheets (white was the compulsory one) and then shout Ghost causing unnecessary scare. One day, he burnt Sola Iluyemi's ass with a lantern and claimed the innocent boy rolled from his bed unto his lantern when we all know every lantern goes off at lights out.

Another incidence was by some other seniors by names: Femi Makinde, Ayinla, and Idris Saliu. Akeem had stolen Paul's money and he was suspected whenever Paul said his money was missing. The way he was eating from Iya Nuts like someone who won a lottery made everyone guess right. As a punishment, a lantern was placed on a chair and he was asked to bow and place his head between the top of the chair and the lantern while stripped off his shirt and pad beaten on the back that way. Couldn't watch that punishment because for me, it was way too much.

For this trio, another of their punishment was the day someone bogeyed by the dining hall. They flogged all juniors form by dorm and room by room except me and another guy. I was exempted because I had a leg unhurt that I couldn't walk by myself and the other guy has leg challenges. They then rolled the Quran by placing a key on a verse, tie the Quran and two juniors will place their hands on the edge of the Key. The key eventually rolled to the room of the culprit. Then they did similar thing with the Bible to get who exactly did. It was the other guy that wasn't beaten. Still he wasn't beaten because everyone felt he wouldn't survive that beating.

Godswillu:
If you have a small business of your own you will understand.
The cost of doing business is on the high side and at the end of the month it will look as if the workers have not work to end the pay.
But at the end of the month, salary will need to be paid.
No one is forced to retain workers they cannot afford to pay. The tough situation of doing business isn't workers business. They have worked and should be paid.

I don't eat/drink custard or pap. I thought it makes one piss too much.
My mom taught me to make moin moin - once in a while when I make it, I eat it with Greek yoghurt only for lunch.
Oatmeal (1/2 cup or 1/3 cup of steel cut or old fashioned) by itself fills me so much.

I like your appetite!
Your own good ooo. I could take oatmeal without anything but it will have to be sweet and very creamy.
