Bobxin: I don't think you read the story clearly, she was accepting a date from another guy, and was accepting a meet-up, from where I come that's more than being colleagues. There's nothing like a date. A friend asked her when she is coming over. It could mean so much. The other person was wooing her. I only mentioned colleagues when he said he doesn't expect his girlfriend to have a male friend. Maynmann: Colleague is different from friends. And most guys are not friends with women for that sake, are women that interesting that many men wants to be friends with her. Even as a guy how often do you have NEW many male friends? I am friends with a few females and I am sure their husband's have no concern because we have healthy boundaries. I only read online on nairaland where some guys feel a male can't be friends with a female. |

Kingsley123456: Honestly, I'm not too selective , I only need one faithful lady, who will understand I don't share P**sy Deal with you insecurities first. If you think a female shouldn't have male friends because she is dating you, then you are not ready yet. So she can't work where she has male colleagues because of your insecurities. Learn not to put the cart before the horse. |

Guestlander: Armed robbery is armed robbery and it is always a violent crime. Punishable by murder? |
Crime › Re: 3 Sentenced To Death For Stealing Phones Chargers, Sandals, Power Banks In Ekiti by GboyegaD(m): 6:04pm On May 16, 2023 |
Guestlander: Is that what I said? Why were you trying to playdown the gravity of the offense by saying they stole a phone? No, it was armed robbery. But like I said earlier, whether or not the death sentence is appropriate is another matter. Not a few Nigerians have died in the hands of armed robbers. So, it's a serious crime. In the case of armed robbery, the thief steals something from the person robbed. So you trying to emphasize on armed robbery as against the judgment is what I don't understand. |
Crime › Re: 3 Sentenced To Death For Stealing Phones Chargers, Sandals, Power Banks In Ekiti by GboyegaD(m): 3:13pm On May 16, 2023 |
Guestlander: What they did was armed robbery with a deadly weapon, not just stealing a phone. Whether or not the punishment is appropriate is another matter. So the punishment for armed robbery is death? Is this according to our criminal law code? |

Our judiciary lack conscience. You try our politicians by another law and give them 6 months for looting billions and try the common man by a law that sentences them to death for stealing a phone. |

Kobojunkie: Are they actual academies or just underground meeting places for people who want to buy better marks for their kids on WAEC or JAMB? They are academies known gorgeous how they help you pass your exams at your 1st attempt even without studying. |

Kobojunkie: But are all special centers the same or just a handful of them are that way? I remember I attended "lessons" myself back in the day and we did a lot of studying at those after-school academies. Yes, corruption dey Nigeria, but are they all corrupt places or just a few of them? Lessons are not special centers. Special centers are designed for one purpose, influencing results of kids. |

Family › Re: Will You Pay For Your Child's Special Center Exams...? by GboyegaD(m): 5:58pm On May 13, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: Oh, now that makes sense! Interesting! So it is the bribing and influencing of WAEC scores that people decry and not the having of extra lessons for Exams. Yes. because they necessarily don't teach them. It is funny when you hear some people complain of the attitude of some kids in our federal miniseries. Truth is if my parents paid my way through school, bought me a slot at the ministry, why should I work, and why shouldn't I feel entitled? |
Family › Re: Will You Pay For Your Child's Special Center Exams...? by GboyegaD(m): 5:30pm On May 13, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: Can you please explain why you equate such centers to laziness?
Does purchasing and studying past JAMB or WAEC Q and A books equally count as laziness? I am trying to understand why some consider it corrupt even. So they help the kids with answering their exams and in some situation pay WAEC officials to influence their results. In essence, they are centers where results are bought. The reason many of our graduates are not employable. |
Family › Re: Will You Pay For Your Child's Special Center Exams...? by GboyegaD(m): 4:14pm On May 13, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: What is a special center abeg? Na Lesson? Where you pay extra monies for them to help your kids pass their WAEC and JAMB. It is a way to encourage laziness in my opinion. |

Jecci: Of course I will pay no time for pretence.
When I was writing waec during my time my parents registered me in a special center and I was really happy they did because I passed waec in just one sitting and moved on to other things. The pride in you not been able to pass by yourself is sickening. |

When he gets admission don't be surprise he will be more committed Lies from the pit of hell. Except you didn't know a few of such people during your undergraduate days. This is a big part of our societal menace today, we shouldn't allow it continue. I guess we sometimes mistake such acts as act of love but it is not love in its real sense. Loving will be guiding the child to learn to follow process so that the child can take pride in their success. |

DownTime44: Seriously I'm tired myself. He was sick recently that i had to empty my little savings for his treatment. You needed to see him physical. I bought him blood tonic and provisions. Things i can't even get for myself. He literally made me forgot myself because of his condition.
Whenever i remember having a brother like that, tears flow from my eyes. You did nothing wrong, guess the tears are pent up emotions. Try talk to him daily and together think of what's next. That said, lean on God to see you through the challenges of life. With your degree and your good spirit, have you thought of traveling to the US for a Masters/PhD?
