What matters is how much the services cost to provide, as operators have to cover their costs and still have enough left over for it to be worthwhile - otherwise they could simply invest their money in the bond market and rest easy. Too many Nigerians have an attitude of entitlement, expecting others to give them goods and services for artificially low prices (or even free) as if others owed them simply for existing.

I would use claim. Reason is that I know so many successful women and they are not in anyway rude however, our culture sometimes makes us see been assertive as rude.

I think it is a mixed feeling. Some men grew up been chauvinistic and misogynistic and for this reason, they feel since they can't control such women, they claim they are rude and have attitude etc. For others, they are scared of successful women because of their insecurities.

I haven't contacted them yet. Reason is that I was advised against it by someone with a contact there. He also told me that their employment process is slow, and that many large organisations are waiting until after swearing in before they commence recruitment.

However, I secured the same position with another organisation (3rd party employment), starting May. But I still hope they contact me (theirs will be direct staff with better package).

Nigerian institutions be like places where the motto is "backward ever, forward never". Why ban students from bringing cars on campus? If the concern is safety, why not put measures to ensure the campus is safe. Instead of banning cars, why not bring up policies that will discourage them from bringing their cars to campus such as paid parking, toll fees for non staff members etc?

I guess I responded based on the SW tradition that I am familiar with. Thus, I would say my response may be biased in that direction. That said, my proposition is if the discussion on bride price will be held in the wife's family house, then they should provide for the guest. Worst is that they should tell the groom the maximum number they will be expecting from him and his family.

Once I tried old fashioned oat fufu. 1/2 cup blended and stirred in boiling water. I ate it with some nice kale sauce. I couldn't eat anything else all day sooooo filling. I haven't tried it again

For the bars, they are very filling for breakfast and require less sugar. I am trying to monitor my food intake as I don dey old and I'm not too active physical wise. I paid for gym since January, doubt I have gone 10times. I try to walk around d in the office but my walking isn't enough.

Is it that bad? I can't imagine having to pay for medical care. I had to go to the ER in February and I did not pay a dime. When you finish, you leave. Nobody will send you any bill later. One can visit the Hospital for emergencies, be admitted for free (I had a relative who was admitted at one Hospital for three months back in 2020 and received the best care). We had to call an ambulance (by dialing 911) on him and they did everything from that moment, even transporting him to the speciality Hospital where he was for three months after staying two weeks at the initial Hospital he was taken to), walk-in clinic, or see their family Doctor all for free.

Now as for family Doctors, finding one can be a bit of wahala, as there's a shortage (e.g. older Doctors retiring, or those not too old choosing to retire early, students in medical school opting for other specialties besides family practice, etc). My previous F.D retired last year and I've another now (moving to another city helped), but many people are without or are waitlisted due to the acute shortage. Thankfully, walk-in clinics are always available with Doctors, and of course, people can go to the Hospital if it's an emergency.

Where are you based if I may ask? That said, if you have insurance, it isn't too bad because once you hit your maximum copay, the insurance pays the remaining.

Yes for emergency - they will treat you and send you bill. You will be shocked at the bill they will send you. The billing they will send is not a child's play.
Everyone (children and adults) is encouraged to have health insurance and stay healthy.

You said it all. The only thing I can add is that the person shouldn't wait until it becomes an emergency. S/he should quickly approach a clinic and the price difference between copay (someone who has insurance) and what a non-insurance holder pay is very small which is not fair to those with insurance. However, the best the person can get is consultation and drug prescription.

For example, in Houston, if you don't have insurance and you visit the clinic before 5pm, most charge you $40 for consultation while after 5pm they charge you $50.

They all should stop whining. When INEC in conjunction robbed people of their votes and disenfranchised others, why didn't they speak up?

When INEC and APC robbed and disenfranchised people of their vote, he felt cool because it was his party. Now that they served him hor, he should leak his wound and let us be.

It is no shalaye and it is greed for any woman to expect the groom who is visiting to pay for the food they want to serve him. If what you have is ground it and garri, take pride in it and serve it. The visitors are not coming because of food and should appreciate whatever they are offered.

That said, I think our negative competition mentality is why people try to show off otherwise, why bother so much about food and drinks.

Any woman that ask a man to pay for such isn't worthy to be married to. If her family can't take care of visitors with whatever they can afford, then she is a fraud and if the man goes ahead with the marriage, when she shows her true colors, she shouldn't be blamed.

Used a recipe I saw online. You blend the oatmeal and use it as for instead of regular flour.

Breakfast options for the week:

In part preparation for the week I made banana oatmeal bars. Waiting for it to cool down before cutting it into six.
