One of the best soap operas I watched growing up. I loved it the same way I loved "Behind the clouds", "Fortune", "Mega Fortune" etc.

good day gboyega, i did check the requirements and made sure I meet their requirements especially the food and nutrition program that didn’t require having an advisor before being admitted , so I really don’t know what’s wrong, do you know anyone who studied science lab technology for undergrad that used it for masters program in the usa?
I did not have many friends that did SLT thus, I can't tell of any.
That you are not selected doesn't mean you did not do it right maybe they just did not accept you this year. Try again and try to make sure your SOP fits what the professors are interested in.

Hello guys , good evening to you all , please I have a question to ask, I’d really appreciate your kind answers
I studied science Laboratory Technology at delta state poly, I applied for Ms biology in 4 different schools for fall that was early this year, but I wasn’t given admission for all , again I decided to switch program and I applied for Ms food and nutrition(spring) at ncat but I wasn’t also given admission , my question now is
Is it because of my undergraduate background or is there something I’m doing wrong during the application process? Thanks guys
I would suggest you look into the program admission requirements and be sure you met each of them. For example, check if the program requires you have a supervisor before application etc. Also, ensure the program addresses your research needs as indicated in your SOP as most programs only select students they feel they would meet their needs so as not to waste both the time of the student and the resources of the program.

Why do people do this to young and naive teenagers? What do they gain in trafficking someone else's children? If the money is easy to make, why are they not traveling to go sell themselves?

NLC is losing its relevance. If they miss this opportunity, they have lost their reputation permanently as the people are behind them on this strike.
I guess the final solution might be a revolution.

I hope the government will take organized labor serious this time around (unfortunately, it seems labor isn't taking themselves serious). I wish we had voted rightly from the beginning.

Posting this here, instead of in Ads as I think it may attract the wrong people. I am based here in New York. My husband used to post here in Nairaland regularly, as Imperiouxx or Imperiouxxx. He came to US from Nigeria on Student visa, and then we got married and he is now here through green card.

Here is our situation: We have a child (4 yrs), and we are going to have another child by December. We have been looking for a child care provider but have not been successful. If anyone knows anyone who is based in NY, NY and is looking for some extra work. We have been looking everywhere locally, if you know someone here please let us know.
Regards to him. I would think it would also be okay to start looking out for daycare in case you don't get anyone on time.

Thank you very much. Any ideas on how I'll answer the "what has changed" question?
As to what has changed, you could talk about your retrospection and how you realized you were not eloquent enough in passing across the information which you believe was the reason you were denied.

Any link to a school that will accept my HND for masters and also cheap
What exam do I have to write?
Please pardon me if my questions sound foolish

First thing, you need search the right school by yourself. A Google search can help you find schools that offers the program(s) you want.

Education is broad thus, I will suggest you narrow down what aspect of education you want.

Is s/he Nigerian? Why is s/he not coming home to marry you and then sponsor your papers? These are things you should think about as regards your sponsor and find a way to ensure that you are not putting yourself in a hole with your response with respect to sponsorship.

Hello everyone, I got denied twice at the Lagos embassy and I have another interview coming up on October 17 at the Abuja embassy. Please advice me on what I need to do better this time and also how to respond to the "what has changed" question. I am going to the same school for the same course.
In my opinion everything looks good except that you may want to be answer strictly the questions you are asked without providing too much of details except you are nudged to continue.

Also, link the study to your past education, current job, and the prospects it offers you in the future in an eloquent and sequential manner.

For example, I chose this course because it builds on my foundation of Pharmacology where I did my undergraduate research in ABC. The APSU Biology avails me the opportunity to specialize in drug ***** which is an area that I can greatly contribute to the success of my dad's pharmaceutical business which I intend to take charge of upon returning from my studies.

Most importantly, pray and let God guide you.

I wish I can write the GRE but the fee is just not here...over two months salary if I'm not mistaking. I have been focusing on schools that made GRE optional or those that do not request for it at all... especially European countries.

I finished from UNN, the courses you listed were fairly ok at undergraduate but excellent at PG (As few B).

If the terminal Masters will be sponsored, I could definitely, but my target is direct PhD
There are a couple of terminal master's programs that are funded (you can use usnews.com to find schools with terminal master's in economics or the AEA website to find those schools with master's in economics without PhD).

As for the GRE optional school, I hope you get into them however, I would like to remind you that you are competing with so many others like you trying to avoid the exam thus, your grades will play a big role.

Lastly, from the experience of many that I know, I would advise you go through the master's as jumping straight into a PhD in Economics can be very challenging because we do not have adequate mathematical background. Similarly, most schools require a minor in mathematics which unfortunately, in Nigeria, we do not meet.

Good day, please am new here. i just got admitted to study in spring 2024. my sponsor is a friend whom i intend to marry . pls what are my chances of getting a visa approved . pls can someone add me to a group where i can get knowledge on how to go for my interview. my no is 08138017293
If everyone can get the information they require from the groups, there is no need coming on here to seek it. These groups have made this oasis of information a dry source. Your chances of getting your visa lies on so many things out of which your sponsor is one. Why is the person not married to you before the program? Where is this person? How are you likely to proof home times and that this person is not going to run away when needed thereby, making you seek sources you shouldn't exploit for survival? What is in it for you and the person and many more.

Therefore, sit down, look through your profile, and plan your things well. This is the best way to increase your chances.

Economics
Thanks for the words
Are you planning to write GRE? I would suggest you do and focus more on the QA and AW. Most schools (not so sure about recent times) focus on GRE as a decision maker for Economics PhD (talking from experience).

Also, you mind sharing what school you finished from and how your Mathematics/Statistics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics grades are? Would you consider attending a terminal master's in economics before proceeding to a PhD?

My people in the house, I'm not sure what is happening, if this is just my issue, or if other people are experiencing the same issue. I have paid for my visa application for almost a month now, I can not even get a date for my f1 visa interview. each time I tried to schedule, I got a response that said "There are currently no appointments available". Initially, I thought the issue was unique to the Abuja location, but then I changed my profile to Lagos, but the message still persisted.
Interestingly, this is also happening to non - Canadians trying to apply from Canada.

Good afternoon great minds.

Kudos for all the good work the gurus in the house are doing.

Please I need someone to help me picture the below profile for a student visa (Master's degree in Accountancy).

Age: 37
BSc: 2022
ICAN: 2018 (Professional & ATS)
SSCE: 2007.
Saving: N5m
Highest COA: $35,000USD
Work experience: 7years+

I have applied to 4 universities for a master's degree in accounting. 3 of the schools have asked me if I will be applying for GA and I have answered yes and filled out a GA application/cover letter for 2 of the schools and waiting for the admission outcomes.

School 1: Spring 2024
School 2: Fall 2024
School 3: Fall 2024
School 4: Fall: 2024

My questions are:
(1) considering my age 37, what are my chances of getting a student visa I've read somewhere that those above 35 years hardly get student visas (i.e. for master's degree level). How true is this?

2. Can I use extended family say an aunt as a sponsor in my i20 form?

Thank you guys.
There are people in their 40s who were given visa for Masters program. The most important thing is having a story that justifies why you should be given the visa.

Greetings to the gurus here for the great work you are doing.

For someone with 3.23 GPA in BSc, 4.90 in PGD and 4.69 in MSc, with 2 scopus publication and 1 already accepted, and one Thomson Reuters also accepted (all first author); with about 2 years lecturing experience, what are the chances like for a PhD considering the low BSc GPA huh

I noticed most US schools emphasize more on BSc GPA
I am not sure you should be bothered about your low CGPA. Find schools who have your program of interest and is comfortable with your CGPA. Just make sure you address the low CGPA and all you have done to make yourself suitable for the program in your CGPA.

Hello my beautiful people, please I need your honest opinions no matter how bitter it sounds.

So my little sister got admission for a 10 month masters in usa in a top 20 school. Please will the 10 months be stamped on her visa?

Will she be able to continue studies say PHd there without coming back?

What's the disadvantages or advantages to this 10month thinh because I personally have no idea .

I am scared of immigration policies cos of this wo mo th that's why I rushed here to seek your honest opinions......

Thank you all in advance
I am not sure how long they give to students now however, she gets the normal duration every approved student from Nigeria gets.
With respect to doing other programs, provided she doesn't go out of status, she can always continue with her studies. She just needs move her sevis to the new institution and continue her studies.

Everyone has a right to their definition of fashion. While it might not be pleasing to you, for them, it gives them peace. The one I will have issues with are those who are not comfortable in what they defined for themselves.

Also, no vex, what is emotional and physical support? You can explain without that phrase.

Was he forced to pay the bills? He can go to court to declare that he is not the father of the child so that he does not have to be held responsible for the child's upbringing.

As for refunds, I doubt he can claim that except there was an agreement during the pregnancy.

Mohbads father is 100% complicit.

The way and shoddy manner they hurriedly buried a bread winner like Mohbad is highly preposterous giving that he's not even a muslim!

There's a reason Mohbad avoided that man when he was alive, never forget that!
Do you understand the Yoruba culture that encourages you to bury a young one that dies so early? All those you know who's lost a young one below 45 how many days it took before they were buried?
