I'm not surprised that Nairaland has gone full tribal over this issue. It is stupid to castigate a whole tribe because of one idiot. It is not a tribal issue but a black problem. Yes, it is a racial problem because we blacks suffer from what you call "a crabs in the bucket mentality". The fact of the matter is that the UK Government had already planned to enact a law that would stop international students from bringing dependents to their country. However, this idiot didn't have to expose us like that especially on BBC which is a racist and conservative news network. You would NEVER see Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese or Arabs expose their people like this idiot has done.
TravelRe: JAPA: The Ideal Age For Nigerians Who Want To Immigrate Abroad by gforce5(op): 10:20am On May 22, 2023
Ladies and Gentlemen, listen to this man. He has said all that is needed to be said. This is a man that has been in the system like me. He has basically captured the theme of this topic.
pansophist:
The best is if you leave Nigeria as a teenager, or at best, right after high school. Then do your university there, in the language of that country. That's a sure way to integrate.

You'll make friends, speak the language in a professional and academical level, date, and have no responsibilities to anyone (wife, kids, parents). You're still at an impressionable age.

Also, it's an age where many channels for naturalization (becoming a citizen) is opened to you. Channels such as through marriage and work. Which getting will be easy because you're at that age range.

At worse, come for masters if you can't come for bsc. Getting a job is easier with a degree from the host country. In any case, the younger you are, the better. But if to suffer is your hobby, then try this.

Come with a visit visa in your 30's when you're married with responsibilities, where you can't work legally, with no educational qualifications except "God will make a way", lol. Then you'll understand what suffering means.

And to make thunder scatter you finish, come as an unmarried woman in your 30's, with a visitor visa but with the intention to stay permanently. Then you'll realize that the " I'm independent and don't need no man" doesn't apply here grin
TravelJAPA: The Ideal Age For Nigerians Who Want To Immigrate Abroad by gforce5(op): 4:01pm On May 19, 2023
For those who desire to check out of the country, it is very important to immigrate while you are young and agile. This advice is underrated. You see, the older you are the harder it is to adapt to a foreign country. If one is observant, most of the people making so much noise abroad about the cultural differences between the developed world and Nigeria tend to be those from their late twenties to their early thirties. These guys have spent all their lives in Nigeria. They have completed all their education in the country from nursery to University. A few of them even have work experience (which is vital in the west).

The ideal age bracket to JAPA in my own opinion, is between the ages of 18-30. Once you are 30, it becomes more difficult. At 30, you are expected to have at least 5 years work experience. Employers like consistency. They want you to show them that you have been consistently occupied by either acquiring more skills or more experience. I can talk about this topic because I went through the system. I left Nigeria immediately after completing my Secondary School (NECO). Completed my A'levels, Bachelors, Post Grad and Law School abroad. As such, it was easier for me to adapt to the system.

Many working professionals who were climbing the career ladder in Nigeria struggle once they move abroad because they have to start all over again from scratch and that's not an easy thing to do. Many of them have families that depend on them and it's difficult trying to rebuild your life again as foreign countries don't rate Nigerian degrees and you have to accept menial jobs in the meantime to pay the bills.

All I am saying is that it is best to immigrate when you are in your prime. It is easier. The older you are the more difficult it gets. Once you have lived in a country for a very long period of time, it becomes difficult to leave except you have no choice. That is not to say that people who immigrated at a much older age didn't succeed abroad. Many of them did but they themselves would tell you how difficult it was to adapt. If you are 40 & above you can still JAPA but it's going to be very difficult because the job market abroad is youth oriented. Late teens to late twenties should be the target age to JAPA.
RomanceRe: Never Date A Woman Who Don't Find You Sexually Attractive by gforce5: 4:47pm On May 17, 2023
The OP is spot on but he should make some amendments. As a man, never date/marry a woman that doesn't find you attractive whether sexually, intellectually or financially. It never ends well. If she's with you for the long run, it's because she lacks options. Nigerian men fail to develop themselves physically and intellectually. They think that everything is about money. In fact, one poster here was already rambling about the usual "get money and women will flock to you". That's a SIMP'S mentality. The worst thing that can befall a man is a woman only being with you because of how much you have. There's a high probability that she's going to cheat on you with someone she finds attractive.

Another poster said something very important which is that IF majority of Nigerian women only marry men that they are attracted to then there would be a very high divorce rate in this country . This is the bitter truth that most of us men don't realize. Most women are married to men that they aren't attracted to due to limited options.
TravelRe: Why Should A Nigerian Graduate be mandated to Write IELTS For Visa to Uk? by gforce5: 11:51am On May 17, 2023
Of course they don't. They have much stronger economies and cannot be taken for granted. China has the largest middle class in the world. No sane country would ignore that huge amount of spending potential. Even Americans don't joke with them despite the proxy war going on between them. Most Latin American countries don't need visas to visit the UK. The UK knows which countries it can piss on.
tensazangetsu20:
Also chinese, brazilians, mexicans and around 60 other countries dont need to show proof of funds for study like Nigerians.
TravelRe: Why Should A Nigerian Graduate be mandated to Write IELTS For Visa to Uk? by gforce5: 11:43am On May 17, 2023
It's crazy how we think that we are making more money than most countries in the world because of a few billionaires and millionaires. UAE banned us because we are of little economic value to them. Nigerians aren't even among the top 15 spenders/tourists in UAE. Nigerians aren't the only ones to commit criminal acts in that Kingdom. They can't try it with the Brits, Americans or even Spanish. The same way small countries like the Maldives, Cape Verde and Canary Islands are discriminating against Nigerians because they are black. Nigerians don't even know that most Latin Americans countries don't need a visa to the UK. Our so-called "spending power" is insignificant in the Global scheme of things.

What are you lots complaining lol. Shey, you guys said that English is not a measure of intelligence? The koko of the matter is that most western countries don't rate you. You are of no economic value to them. The Chinese, who can't speak English, are always issued visas and given special treatment because they bring in a lot of money to the country. Do you know that the Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain don't need visas to the UK? They are issued E-visas. This is because of the amount of money they are bringing into the UK. They have bought off most of the properties in Central London. The blunt reality is that we Nigerians are noise makers who overestimate our economic value to other countries.

Ha! Nigerian men don't learn. Despite several warnings, they keep making the same mistake marrying women who are poor. They keep sponsoring an entitled gender abroad where the laws favor them. Nigerian men have a "white knight" complex. Trying to elevate women below them to their class and then these same women begin to see these men as nothing. These jokers believe that a "real man" is someone who takes care of his wife and her extended family even to the detriment of himself. cheesy grin

You people have started again with spreading misinformation. No one who migrated legally with all their documents would be in living in that condition. As a previous poster pointed out, they are most likely crackheads. Nigerians love to pull each other down on social media. I have never seen Indians, Chinese, Turks or even Pakistanis do this to each other.

It's interesting how many posters here are complaining about the cost of living and the struggle to make ends meet but you voted for Buhari TWICE. The man has even said that he has fulfilled all his promises to you and you lots are complaining about how tough the country is. Well, let's hope that bla bla bluu does better as it can't get worse than this.

It's always the broke and unemployed ones that say this. You will NEVER see rich girls like Cuppy, Kike Osinbanjo or the Indimi girls say this on social media. Even the career oriented ones that are doing well for themselves will never say this rubbish as their portfolio would tell you all you need to know about their lifestyles. I can bet N3K that this clown has not seen N500k in her life. SIMPS are the reason for this entitled behaviour.
TravelRe: Which Country Can I Migrate To With 3.5M? by gforce5: 1:57pm On Apr 26, 2023
OP, before you think about going anywhere, you have to ask yourself a few questions. Do you have any travel history? Not a must but it is advantageous. Do you have any skills that will be useful to the country you want to japa to? Very important question. Just know that sociology is a useless course. Do you have enough finances to sustain yourself abroad after all expenses paid. I leave to answer that question yourself. Finally, do you have any relatives abroad? That helps a lot as it is not easy migrating to a country where you don't know people.

Once you have answered those questions, the next step is to research the countries you want to migrate to. Just know that UK, US, Canada, Australia and Ireland are way above your budget. You should be looking at European countries that offer free or low tuition fees such as Austria, France, Portugal, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland. Chao.

That's exactly what a lot of western men are doing. They are now traveling to Asia to find wives as the metoo movement in the west is out of control. The "passport bros" they are called. Even women in other African countries are more loyal than a lot of Nigerian women.

Lol, you people are gradually waking up. Women don't like men who have challenged themselves intellectually, socially and physically. They are very intimidated by intelligent men. It has nothing to do with money. Someone once said that women prefer athletes to geek billionaires because they are easier to manipulate. A man who cannot be manipulated is seen as not being "man enough". A man that can think for himself is a dangerous man. Women also don't like men who are very good at cooking. It makes them feel inadequate. Women prefer a man who has a flashy lifestyle as he will be very 'generous' with his money compared to a man who lives a simple life.

Despite all the warnings we have given about sponsoring a woman who isn't your wife to school, these SIMPS don't listen. This is what happens when you have don't value yourself as a man and believe that the only way to get a woman is by spending money on her. The maga's own family warned him against helping her and he still proceeded to act a fool. Idiot.

Don't you know that our people are the most ungrateful and loudest set of people on the planet? No one complains like Nigerians. Everywhere is bad to them. UK is bad. Canada is thrash, Nigeria is a shithole, USA is crap, Germany is racist. No country is good enough for them. Tell them to stay in Nigeria and fix the country they cannot. I have said it a million times that Nigerians deserve the country they have. They can't handle organized societies. They prefer the chaotic lifestyle of Nigeria.

You know what's crazy? Nigerians don't even make the top 15 emigrants in the world but they make more noise than those other nationalities. The Chinese and Indians form the largest diaspora in the world but you don't see them making noise. There are more irish people living outside Ireland than the overall population of Ireland itself. There are more Armenians and Lebanese people living abroad than in their countries of origin but you don't see them making noise.

Foreign countries should stop issuing visas to Nigerians so that we will not be a nuisance on social media. Tiried of all the nagging and complaining on social media.

The same Cristiano that just got his current coach sacked? The same Cristiano that fell out with two coaches at Juventus and the Portuguese coach. The same Cristiano that no top club in Europe is willing to take any risk? I have supported Cristiano since he came to the club in 2003 but his attitude in the past few years has been very bad. He thinks that he's bigger than any club. Dude is a reliable goal poacher but he affects the morale of any team that he's in. If he was still at United, they would have been out of all cup competitions and would be struggling to qualify for even Conference league. Cristiano knows that he couldn't pull that stunt when Fergie was the manager. He knows Ferguson too well to try that.
Angelfrost:
Most of them just hate him because of Ronaldo!

Nothing he does will ever be right by them...!

In their book, a great coach would and should have succeeded at United with Cristiano Ronaldo! Every coach sacked with Ronaldo there is not good enough, any coach that makes Ronaldo leave is a terrible coach!

Some of them actually look forward to seeing United draw or lose games in order to have points to pull down the man.

Don't mind these unrealistic fans. I'm a hardcore United supporter and Ten Hag has done well given the quality of the squad he has. Mourinho faced the same problem during his first season at united and had to sacrifice top four in order to win the Europa League trophy.United are in pole position to secure a top four spot while playing at the quarter finals of the Europa League and FA cup. These so-called 'fans' don't understand how difficult it is to qualify for the Champions league while playing Thursday football. Even Antonio Conte would struggle with this squad.
Angelfrost:
Failure?!! ETH has not failed! Matter of fact, he has done well!

It's just that some of you simply overestimate the quality United has currently!

Mourinho won conference league with Roma last season at what cost?? How did they finish the league?!!

Please, did Mourinho have this same quality of team as ETH when in Chelsea?!

When Mourinho was in this situation in his first season in United, how did he finish?! Top 4?!!

In his second season with them, how did he fare?!! How many trophies did he win?!!

ETH is not perfect, but you United fans have unrealistic and insincere expectations for a first season with all the pending issues he inherited.
HealthRe: Short Man Undergoes Painful Surgical Procedure To Increase His Height by gforce5: 10:22am On Apr 14, 2023
Nigerians insulting the man don't know what he's going through psychologically. American girls have a different mentality from Nigerian women. The worst crime in the States as a man is to be black, short, fat and bald. No amount of money will help you overcome that inferiority complex. As successful as Kevin Hart and Tom Cruise are, many people mock them because of their height on social media. Any one who has lived in the west knows that the first thing women observe about a man is his looks. An ugly guy has to make ten times the effort that a handsome guy has to make to get women.

The west is not Nigeria where women are primarily interested in your ability to provide. Nigerians value money over anything due to mental and physical poverty. In the west, there's equal opportunities for both sexes as such a man has to bring something else to the table than just money.
RomanceRe: My 8th Time Getting Rejected By Women In Canada Over A Period Of One Year by gforce5: 10:29am On Apr 13, 2023
Well, I have said many times that the idea of Nigerian men being the object of many women's desire is a myth and fallacy perpetrated by Nigerian men who have never been abroad. Exposed guys don't say such things. HOWEVER, Nigerian men are popular in other African countries. This is due to the fact that Nigerian men tend to spend more money than their African counterparts.

As for Nigerian women lacking sex abroad, that is not surprising. You can't have an entitled mentality abroad and expect men to chase you like they do in Nigeria. It's not about respect. Let me tell you the blunt reality of the dating game in the west: For women, white women are at the top of the dating pool (it is what it is) , followed by asian women (chinese, japanese, filippino) and black women. Within the black community, caribbean and african american women come first before african women. That's the sad reality of dating abroad.
1Sharon:
Nigerian women are complaining they can't find sex.
The reason why the OP is being mocked is because nigerian men believ they were hot cake abroad but experience has humbed them. I tried telling them

CareerFemale Lawyers Are More Business-savy Than Their Male Counterparts by gforce5(op): 3:08pm On Apr 12, 2023
The Legal profession in Nigeria is a tough and rugged profession. For us lawyers, we have to follow the RPC (Rules of Professional Conduct) which limits the way a lawyer can market themselves. I have noticed how a lot of female lawyers have been able to create a brand for themselves via social media. Many of our female colleagues are into content writing, blogging and brand marketing. A few of these women already have clients by the time they are called to the Bar. Many of these ladies have side businesses have side businesses such as food shops, clothing stores and other products to supplement their income. You have to give these ladies respect when it comes to putting themselves out there for the profession.

Abeg, ladies, show us the way around Rules 7 (Business) and Rule 39 (advertising) nonsense that's making life difficult for us.

I have to comment again when I re-read the OP's post and realized that he's only 5"3. shocked Omo, with that height, the Lord's your strength. Even in Nigeria you will struggle to get women not to talk of the West. I'm 5'7 and I have to make TWICE the effort to impress chicks. I can only imagine what someone of your height is going through. OP, i believe that your best option would be to travel down to Nigeria and find a wife. That's your best. Sorry mate.
RomanceRe: My 8th Time Getting Rejected By Women In Canada Over A Period Of One Year by gforce5: 11:15am On Apr 12, 2023
Sorry bro! It's not easy as a man in the west these days! I have said it several times on this forum that if you spent all your formative years in Nigeria including university and NYSC, it would be very difficult to adapt to the dating market abroad as the mentality of foreign women is completely different from Nigerian women. Foreign women have standards. They don't just sleep with any guy. You have to be good looking, tall, muscular and financially okay before they can consider giving you a chance. The west is not Nigeria where your looks and height don't matter as long as you can provide.

The fact of the matter is that Nigerian guys are not hotcakes abroad. The biggest myth is that white women are desperate for black men. The only black men that attracts their fancy are african american men. How many times have you seen hot white girls in their prime (18-25) chasing after black men especially average looking black men? Let's be real with ourselves, Nigerian men (including myself) are average looking and not in the best shape.

As for the women here having a laugh at the OP's expense, I hope you lots know that Nigerian women have it worse abroad than Nigerian men. There's a reason why many Nigerian women born and bred abroad are moving to Nigeria to find a husband. The ones who grew up in Nigeria have it worse.

I would never discourage anyone from immigrating abroad. I'm a product of Japa. The reason I became an immigration lawyer is to encourage people who desire to migrate abroad. My advice to people is that if you want to japa, do it with sense. Do it legally, Ensure that you have enough money to fund your trip. Immigrating now is not the same as it was 20 or even 15 years ago. Things have changed. Many countries are tightening their borders.

That's quite cheap and affordable. I was going by the figures I see on Embassy websites. I actually don't need a visa to travel to Europe as I have a second passport. Been a dual national since 2014. Nevertheless, I will look into travel hack and pass it over to my clients.

Visa fee is not upto 150k you mentioned if done DIY. {Agent dey use una open office)
Do you know what is called TRAVEL HACK ? I use the formula to travel with very low budget.
If you book early flight to Europe you can get 350k return tickets.
Visa fee to Europe is not up to 80k
You can get free accommodation or cheap hostel and Food is very cheap eat from local wink
I will be heading to 3 different countries in the few months from now and I will document my trip and create a thread to teach how to travel with low budget. 😎😎

True. I recently flew KLM and the airfare was about $745 which was not bad at all. As for those easy countries, well, I've always said that no serious country would easily issue out visas to Nigerians as our compatriots have this knack for abusing the hospitality of their hosts. Easy visas means that all caliber of Nigerians will flood that country and abuse the system. Nigerians are just lawless and stubborn. They don't like to listen. I mean, who goes to an Arab country to practice cultism and prostitution??
ednut1:
Depending of when you buy tickets there are flights of 600k to 800k to Europe and North America. The 1.2m is for those buying at short notice like a week or 2 before travel. The bitter truth is that many of those countries with easy immigration have been shown pepper by Nigerians and dont want us anymore. Each day where to japa for Nigerians becomes limited and hard. Just see what some Nigerians are doing in india, South Africa, Cyprus, china, indonesia,.Singapore etc
TravelRe: Costs Of Immigrating Abroad For Nigerians (blunt Reality) by gforce5(op): 2:53pm On Mar 24, 2023
I referenced other African countries as that money can go a long way in those countries. The only downside is that their passports are useless internationally (with the exception of Botswana, South Africa and Namibia). I always recommend Brazil to clients/strangers but the problem is the distance (no direct flights) ease of acquiring a Brazilian visa and costs (the most economically viable region in Brazil is in the south and its living expenses aren't cheap).
tensazangetsu20:
That's not true. Not every country is the USA and Canada. 3 million can still take you to countries like Brazil if you can get admitted to their schools since theres no tuition fees. The 3 million can be spent on flight tickets and initial living expenses for like 3 months. Someone having 3 million and going to another African country is stupidity.
TravelCosts Of Immigrating Abroad For Nigerians (blunt Reality) by gforce5(op): 11:36am On Mar 24, 2023
I have been seeing threads in the travel section about the cost of japaing. You have people throwing silly figures such as N2 million, N2.5million or even N1.5 million. These people are not serious about migrating. That amount was decent 10 years ago but not now.Let me tell you something, the cost of a holiday abroad alone (North America & Europe) right now is nothing less than N3 million. Flight tickets alone costs nothing less than N1.2 million depending on the airline. If you don't have a second passport, then you need a visa to travel to all of these destinations. The average cost of visas is usually about N150K. You will need a transit visa if you are not flying direct. That's close to N500k for two different visas. How about accommodation? If you are traveling to a country where you don't know anyone, you have to set aside at least N1 million depending on the duration of your stay. What about daily living expenses such as food, cloths, transport and goods? All that will set you back another N1million.

All I have mentioned above is just for tourism. If you want to japa, you have to come up with double the amount if you don't want to be stranded abroad. Even migrating to countries in Central and South America costs money. If you don't have up to N8million in your account please forget about Japaing to the west. The only places you can immigrate to are other African countries such as Ivory Coast, Senegal, Kenya and Rwanda. Even Ghana is no longer affordable for Nigerians. It's better to invest that small sum on a side hustle that will generate bigger income. When the time comes, you can buy a second passport via citizenship by investment like the 1% are doing and travel abroad at your own convenience. My two cents.
RomanceRe: Canada Finally Humbled Me With Pussy After 8months: Pictures by gforce5: 12:51pm On Mar 23, 2023
The OP's mentality is what is wrong with most Nigerian men who spent all their formative and young adult years in Nigeria. They are too hyperactive when it comes to sex. Nigerian men who grew up in Nigeria are used to getting cheap p**s because of the poverty level in that country. In Nigeria, you can entice a lady with just sharwarma and ice cream. You cannot try that abroad. Even in liberal countries like Holland, girls will never sleep with you on the same day except they are VERY drunk and they find you to be very attractive.

I'm glad that the OP has realized that Nigerian men aren't hot cakes abroad. It's a lie that has been peddled around for too long. White women don't fancy black guys like that especially recent African immigrants. Even black women who were born and bred abroad aren't crazy about Nigerian men like that. They see us as desperados looking for papers. Once they hear your accent it's "exit, stage, left". The issue with our brothers who spent most of their lives in Nigeria is that they have been programmed to believe that the only way to get women is having money. Money is very important yes but it is not enough. You see this abroad, women go for tall and good-looking men. They like men that have muscles, rugged looks and tall like Morris Chestnut or Tyrese. Most Nigerian men, including myself, are not in that category. A lot of Nigerian men don't have a six-pacs. Most of them don't have muscles, aren't tall and are average looking. This means that you already have a lot going against you.

It's easier if you moved to the west at a younger age (teens-late 20s) as you would be able to adjust to the system. Attending high school and university abroad is a massive advantage that many people take for granted. It enables you to assimilate into the system at a faster rate than those who attained all their academic qualifications in Nigeria. My advice to you would be to improve yourself physically, academically and financially. You need to dress well. Look at the latest fashion trends in Canada and run with it.
