Romance › Re: Why So Dificult Getting To Meet A Good Lady For Marriage If They Truly Existed ? by Ginaz(f): 12:11am On Oct 07, 2017
Lol see marketing. Adding you gonna relocate next year is totally unnecessary and immature. And so? You travel out is it so special?

You see why you keep attracting the bad Girls? Ones that is the clear opposite you want? That is because you keep mentioning the unimportant details.

No good girl from good home training will take you seriously. She would think you're just there to have fun, it's the bad ones that will claw on you like ants over sugar.

Add only important and strict details about yourself when you are having a love interest. Little by little unveil the real you and I promise you, you gonna get a good wife that truly deserves you.

they won't tell you they won't have patience while making your hair. Your hair is just there so they can make it with extensions and weavon. They don't care if you will have hair breakage, or you will go bald in your front hair when they make tight braiding on it.

They won't care if your hair is falling off while they make it, afterall the hairstyle they are making on you is most important than your actual hair. undecided

Christianity Etc › Re: Help!! I Have A Spirit/Marine Wife. I Need Deliverance by Ginaz(f): 3:11pm On Oct 01, 2017
So there's this thing that happened to me....
,i happened to visit my dad for holiday. I and my aunt went to a pastor's house for ordinary visit since his house was close to ours and he started praying o. I was moving my body when he started praying....no be small "nack" for my head he gave me. ..i should fall down...the spirit should fall down.

I was conscious of my moments o, though I started staggering. He hit my head again and asked me who I was and I started talking gibberish. I noticed he put words in my mouths, like for example he asked me what was my mission, was it to destroy and I said yes to him...where was I, I said in my compound (I was conscious of these questions but it felt I suddenly turned mumu...like he was controlling me.

He asked me what I saw...hit my head again(better hitting o)...I told him I was sitting down with a black gown. My answer was accompanied by series of head "nacking" and come out in jesus name. He started pushing my head for me to fall...which I wouldn't do upon all the head smacking. Later after turning my head this way and that way I became dizzy and fell.

And he said I was delivered. He asked me if I knew what I said, if I was conscious of everything I said (of course I was, words by words I was) I lied I didn't cos I was embarrassed, and he started telling me all I said.

When I got home I felt weird, like what happened to me? Nothing changed in my body, I still felt the same way...I'm still me...nothing changed.

I reminisced everything in my mind... I said things I didn't mean....that were not from me, behaved like he was controlling me. All those things I said wasn't from me...how come I was saying it.? Why was it anytime he touched my head I would say things he wanted me to say.

My life was OK before the so called deliverance, even after, still OK, nothing changed.

I still don't know what happened o, I'm not a spiritual person but I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ.

*****

I want everybody to be careful about this deliverance of a thing. Your head is a crown, don't just let anybody to touch it anyhow in the name of praying. You don't know how clean the hands are that lay on your head. Some of these pastors use juju, they would make it look like you have a demon whereas you are being under a trance.

My people...be careful o. If we are not, we enter into more problems we never had in a bit to deliver ourselves from afflictions.

Jesus is the deliverance, not these pastors. Jesus won't tell you to buy red and white candles, to wash your body in a river, to swim in olive oil and Jesus won't hit your head either.

Whoever believes in him will be delivered. Hope I'm speaking to someone today. We are all prophets, we carry the word of God in our mouths...he listens to us. We should pray ourselves instead of seeking a man of God to pray for us. Cos there is no man of God in this era.. That's why God will shame them when the world comes to an end saying

"
Many will say to me in that day " Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and expel demons in your name and perform many powerful works in your name? But then I will declare to them "I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of carelessness." Matthew 7:22-23.

Family › Re: Nigerians Who Ever Thought Of Running Away From Home As Kids Share Their Stories by Ginaz(f): 12:08pm On Sep 30, 2017
I grew up with my grandparents so the house was filled up. I and my aunt share the bed, she would pressed me against the wall cos how small I was then.

So this night I started crying I won't sleep in the house. My grandpa came and was pleading with me to sleep ,he would scold my aunt in the morning. I was crying profusely and said they should "take me to my real papa house ,i would run from the house".

A thunderous and jaw breaking slap was administered to me in two secession with a heavy weight behind each slap across my face, including my eyes as it suddenly blanked and saw heaven.

That was all it took to made me realized running away was a bad ideal.

Lolz where will I start?

My mom would buy me new uniforms almost every class promotion. Na fight I go read for school.

* when I was in SS1, one small boy was toasting me, he would come at night cos then I loved bathing at nighttime(still do till now), so the well is outside our compound. He would stationed himself to come and be using his lame toasting lines. Even my dog can toast a female dog better than him which gets me so mad. Oga you are wasting my time biko...worst he would be stammering like someone about to have electric shock.

I was like so you won't leave me? He said no, I must to reply his love. I said I would pour him water, he said I wouldn't. Na so I provoke pour am water, he gave me very big blow to my face shocked.....see person wey come love abi beat me. huh

With my small stature I know I don't stand a chance. I went into a rage, I used my nails, my fingers, my legs infact it would be safe to say I clawed on like a blood sucking vampire sent from the village. He started shouting, people came to separate us...by the time they separated us he was panting and grasping and looked like who had a fight with a mad woman.

***

I lived with my grandparents, it was a public compound. The bathroom and toilet was only differentiated by a block in between. Anytime I go to bath, this boy would follow me on the excused he was going to the toilet.

Na so, one day I caught him peeping from the up. I was so pained, I called everyone in the compound no one believed me. I was so pained the more. One day he did it, I said lie lie o...it won't go like that. I said I would give him mark o. I bought razor blade and bought grinded pepper added it into water. That day he had exams to write. My grandparents were shouting at me to leave the matter, I hide the cup under bed cos he ran away. The next morning I heard him getting ready for school.

I took the cup of pepper, forgot the blade(oh why!) went into their house and threw the pepper straight at him...his peeping ogoro eyes. We fought, what a fight. I said today you will kill me...today Na me and you. His school friends were around, they started mocking him. With the pepper in his eyes I was at an advantage. The force i threw the cup at him broke his front teeth, it was a steel cup.

The room was a mess, red pepper everywhere. His younger ones got a doze of pepper too. Their uniforms, clothes, bed, wall, curtains.

His father came back and saw everything, and started running after me, he wanted to cane me for destroying his house. My family were behind me, they wanted to call the street chairman but his father got afraid and that was how the matter died.... (till date this boy still peeps at people, unknown to us he has been peeping all the girls in the compound both old and young in the bathroom) he was caught one after the other...I heard he goes to other street to peep.

****
Fought with my gf...the fight was epic....she bit me on my left arm..i bit her on the head. It left us bloodied we had to treat ourselves in a chemist store. I still bore that mark on my arm till date embarassed

That was my last fight. Now sef, I no get power to raise hand...dem go beat me die. Make I humble myself.

I use my mouth now to do the fighting but I'm conscious so I won't get my teeth removed one day. grin

Awesome.

I bathe twice a day. Can't sleep without doing it. It's like a ritual for me.

You know same things don't work for everyone. This is what works for me. Lucky you that you only need kernel oil and black soap.
No be small.... I'm lucky. They don't cost more than 1k. Before going into this, I was thinking it would darkened me or give me pimples. It was a relief how my skin took it up nicely.

I can say I'm not going back....best thing I've done for my skin.

Continue later. Had a semi hectic day
Only one person go use all this products? shocked shocked shocked

Me I use only kernel oil and black soap, bath once in a day if I'm at home cos I can't be bathing anyhow when I'm in the house, when my body is not dirty, when I didn't step out of the house and not sweaty. shocked

My routine is very simple.

The day I'm under house arrest I bath once in a day. Our skin is very delicate, too much soaping and creaming disrupt our skin's natural barrier. You can check it on Google too, it is scientifically proven.

When I step out, I bath twice, in the morning without my sponge cos my skin is still quite clean. I bath with sponge at night.

No special treatment on my face...I don't makeup.

I scrub once in a while with sugar on my face. I eat anyhow food except junks...drink water(but not much, I want to change embarassed)

I eat lots of groundnut o, oily food too. I guess I'm just lucky to have a skin that is tolerant. grin

I exercise alot (at least I do good)

Overall. I do not have problems with my skin.

Ginaz , how far? If you're still in need of a nanny job, let me know. I would give you the contact person of a school in Ikeja that needs nanny interns for their creche this Aug hols.
Sorry girl, I totally forgot about this thread. The location is too far, I can not cope. I got a lot of offers, I was amazed by the results. It shows nairaland is more than a site...but locations was the problem. I don't want to go far, with the way things are in this country one has to be careful.

My uncle said this my ideal was OK, at least I came up with something...he got worried about securities, dangers, and lots. He asked me to remove this nanny ideal from my head as he won't allow me.

I confirmed my fears when someone contacted me and was asking some weird questions not even related to kids sef...or house whatever. I jejely took my uncle's advice.

For now my neighbors do give me their kids when they are busy or rushing off to somewhere. They don't pay me, but the smiles on the kids are enough for me. I should do something else and trash this nanny ideal. It's a pity, in a developed country a nanny job is a professional career. Here in Africa they see it as house help or someone less of a human standard.

I want to thank you guys, you encouraged me and gave me useful information. Una try.

I don't wear at all, I prefer my own eyebrows to penciled ones. I prefer my face or white powder to Mary kay or concealer whatever they call them.

Lipstick and lip gloss does it for me. I no like makeup right from day one.

Girls should learn to be proud of their natural self. Don't let your beauty be stereotyped by the society as how it should be.

You are the owner of your face, your beauty standard should only be measured at your taste not what people want or think.

But whatever makes one feel beautiful....you can't force everybody to accept their face and see how beautiful it is without makeup.

*this is me with just lipstick, I train my natural eyebrows, I want them to be even thicker.*

Loool, girl you are too funny grin

Honestly, I have no idea. Your hair is confusing me too. There are so many things I don't know that only you do. I can only speculate about what's wrong.

I don't know if your hair is high or low in porosity. I don't know if the products are just sitting on your hair or if they get soaked in immediately but gets dry afterwards. I don't know if you are dealing the water in. I don't know if all you need is a protein treatment or not. There are so many things I don't know but I'd suggest you read the earlier posts again, starting from page 1-3, so you'll know your hair porosity and how to take care of it.

Your scalp is itchy because it's dry. Just massage it with olive/ coconut oil.
It takes time for product to sink into my hair
Fashion › Re: Embracing The Beauty Of Your Natural Hair by Ginaz(f): 12:47pm On Sep 23, 2017
purpose100:
I can relate to this a bit.
Just chill, natural hair requires patience and endurance. Going natural doesn't mean it will be easier to maintain compared to relaxed hair.
Also, it takes determination, a whole lot of determination. Determination to stick to it till you achieve what you want and even beyond that.

When I decided to go natural,I thought just plating and threading is all it will take. Did that for some months but it was just pure pain in the ass. My hair was too thick, tangled, dull not shinning. I was always ashamed to exposed my hair. Then I started digging on the Internet on what to do. But I didn't dig too deep because Google directed me to this thread on Nairaland. A big thanks to the creator of this thread oh. It is helping me a lot.

The first thing I did is to determine the porosity of my hair, my hair have high porosity.
Then I studied how to wash and Co wash my hair type. Fortunately, they are all the products I have at home already.
Immediately I removed my twist,I applied coconut oil into my scalp. I put the oil in a spray bottle, so it made it easier to applied. Then I cover it with satin scarf overnight.
The next morning, I washed it with baby shampoo, I used baby shampoo because I have it at home oh and it actually contained sulfate but because I will only be washing with shampoo once a month,I ignored the sulphur warning grin
After rinsing the shampoo off, I applied Topklass hair conditional. Left it on for 10 mins and rinse it off too.
While my hair was still damp,I applied my Shea butter mixture (Shea Butter +coconut oil) generous on my hair. Ordinary shea butter do give me itchy scalp too, but when I mixed it with coconut oil, it doesn't itch me.
Then instantly, my *thick forest* hair became very soft like silk! I couldn't believe it shocked cheesy

So I made threading,I aways use baby wool for threading not rubber. Rubber is too painful for me jare. Then I noticed my hair grow quickly and longer with threading style. So whenever I twist my hair, I always apply my Shea Butter mixture every other day on my scalp in order to prevent dryness and pure coconut oil twice a week also on the scalp. This method took care of my itchy scalp.

Then I noticed that when I take out the twist,my hair will be very soft! Very easy to comb now. And I'm rocking different styles of knots, twist and threading now. In fact the last time I did Bantu twist and took it out,I style it the way I saw it styled on this thread, people thought I fixed all these coiling weavons!

All special thanks to the creator of this thread and everybody that have contributed on it. You guys are life safers wink

My recipe for shea butter mixture.
3 tablespoons of shea butter
5 tablespoons of coconut oil.
Mix together.
Thats all.
Oh thanks, I appreciate all you wrote a lot. Do you twist every time when you are not making a hair do? How long do you leave your twist? Days or weeks? What I've learnt is that my hair doesn't like products, they don't work and makes my hair dry afterwards. I hardly use leave in conditioner, it tends to make my scalp itchy and dry.

Lovelygurl I yaf come again. I think I will put relaxer on my hair. I have tried everything, everything to make my hair soft, moisturized and manageable but to no avail.

I truly wanna make this work but it's giving me a run for my money. I just found out shea butter is too greasy and gives me itchy scalp. I recently started using it based on advise from someone.

Only thing that works is water, I realized when I spray water on my hair it gets soft but that is followed by intensed itching which I'm having now though my scalp is clean. I washed my hair last week, deep conditioned and did twists. My hair growth improved while it was on twists(something I've learnt)

It's all a fuss, hair is hair relaxed or not. I'm just tired jare, 10 months of being natural I don begin lose my wits.

This is pix of my relaxed hair, I rarely treat it sef, like the kind of treatment I'm giving my natural hair but it grows, looks healthy, and full. No problems or anything and it is 5months old here in the pix until I decided to cut it and go natural.

My natural hair is a pain in the ass.. *crying and blowing nose*

Lovelygurl you see my life outside? I'm going to relax my hair next week. *cry on top lovelygurl's head*
