Politics › Re: I Never Knew Onitsha Had A Large Body Of Water. Thought SE Was Landlocked? God! by Goke7: 10:39am On May 06, 2020
Igbos keep showing how ignorant they are [wonder what they are taught in schools] there are countries with very large bodies of water with no direct access to the sea like mali, Niger with the same river niger at onitsha.

The igbos should please stop this shame of ignorance of not knowing what landlocked means, being landlocked is not a disadvantage at all, its just simple geography. The Nile river is more important for Egypt than its coastline. The SE has enough water bodies that can be of huge economical benefits if they know how to use it. They don't have to claim what they are not

What happened to their Seaman Schnapps and Confam Alomo Bitters which can be used to sanitize the hands and one shot clears up the respiratory tract which is a symptom of Covid19 angry

They should share that indomie noodles to children and go back and fill up those trucks with ogogoro Schnapps and Bitters so that elders can use it to pour libation against Coro and appease the gods of the land

NIGERIA BUSINESSMEN SHOULD INVEST MORE ON MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES AND AGRICULTURE.

The whole country is saturated with schools, petrol station and hotels which are not adding sustainable value to the economy of Nigeria and its citizens.

For the schools where are the parents that can even have the funds to afford to send their ward to those universities.

Nigeria businessmen should copy Dangote, Innoson and the rest of the entrepreneur who are into manufacturing.

IN DELTA STATE FOR EXAMPLE, there are hardly manufacturing industries.

What you can find in Asaba, Warri, Effurun, Sapele etc are HOTELS, PRIVATE SCHOOLS, AND FILLING STATIONS.

NO AGRO ALLIED INDUSTRIES.

The Igbos are the only people that mainly invest in manufacturing industries.

Just look at the way Captain Hosa Okunbor the owner of Wells Carlton Hotel Abuja and the Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar are laying off staff just because of the side effect of Coronavirus.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD DIVERSIFY THE ECONOMY AND ALSO ENCOURAGE PRIVATE COMPANY TO DO LIKEWISE.

The idiot sometimes back said every one should face his region, yet he was the first to start talking about Tinubu and Lagos, instead of him to focus on is iboland. They always condemn Lagos, they say it's a huge slum and their villages are far better, but they will not stop coming to that same slum, they must love slums so much, why can't they sit their ass doemwn in that their highly developed villages. They say same thing about ibadan too yet these vagabonds won't stop coming to ibadan to even sell the most ridiculous things like palm wine. Bro, if you see peace mass transit park at Samonda, Ibadan, u go wonder wetin this people dey come do for IB. The same ibadan that if u read all what they say about her on this forum, u would think not a single ibo lives in Ibadan. Hell, they even come all the way from their land, 500km away to attend our universities here, don't they have universities in their region?
its only those who source their information online they can deceive, they are all over SW including my hometown in ijebu-ode and ondo town where my mother comes from. The igbos can't survive without the SW, let them come online to disprove this, they keep blaming others for their underdeveloped region as if others will abandon their region to go develop their place. Even in terms of their regional development, the SW remain a reference point for them to improve basic amenities in their land. In terms of future development, easterners are not very good pioneers, they can only copy what they see in existence somewhere else to try and catch up, reason they will continue to lag behind the SW and keep posting pictures online to massage their over inflated egos.

He attack Tinubu like tomorrow no dey for Twitter yet this same tinubu has never been interested in their states, he has no business in their states, Tinubu's only offence is that he is the God-father of Lagos politics, pray, tell me, what concerns an Anambra man with Lagos state politics? What does Lagos share in common with Anambra? Do they share land borders, Rivers? Hell no. Yet he spends is time attacking tinubu on Twitter while he comes to nairalamd to defend Anambra.
Igbos seem to hate hate very highly intellectual yoruba leaders like Awolowo, Tinubu, Fashola and lately osinbajo who they see as a reason they can't dominate others like they want to, same way they hate intellectual figures from other tribes too, na their way

How many FG parastatal is headquartered in SE?
How many multinationals have been allowed to thrive in SE. Look how Enugu international airport has been frustrated and closed down by bitter bureaucracy, (what multinational corporations will function in a place without direct flight to major important cities of the world?) when it was becoming a regional hub for Ethiopian airline.
There was a well orchestrated plan to perpetually underdevelop SE by FG post civil war. And it's been on since then.
Nevertheless, SE has done alot for herself swimming against evil tide of Nigeria. And should be proud of her achievements. Nigeria will not last forever, one day, all these will be over and we will see how it goes for each independent region.
Our human capital development is top notch as supported By WAEC, JAMB and other independent bodies. Innoson and host of indigenous manufacturers is in Anambra and doing great! They don't have the advantage of gas pipeline for cheap generation of electricity OBJ provided at Agbara for Yorubas, despite Imo and Anambra sitting on huge reserves of natural gas, and Anambra being a neighboring state to Rivers state where the gas pipeline was laid all the way to Ogun state, yet they are doing their best.

This stat is wrong by all means, because we know what is obtainable in Igboland. 50% poverty rate in Enugu?
Like for real? This is beyond being ridiculous.
shebi you call yourselves developers, why wait for the FG to develop the SE, go and check the recent JAMB and WAEC stats, you guys are no longer leading, we thrashed this in another thread on nairaland with some of your folks only for them to start claiming some igbo peeps were putting states where they reside as state of origin, na only una dey do manufacturing, na only una get oil, na only una get everything. Let Enugu airport start operating again as before and see whether traffic in Lagos airport will reduce as you guys claim which was busted when Enugu was in operation earlier. Nobody held the SE back, kudos you guys even tried but are still lagging behind

The so called "migration" of igbos to the SW seems to be the only thing you people hold on to when reminded of how underachieving you have been lately.
Lagos being the economic capital of the nation is the only state in the SW that can be said to have a considerable population of igbos.
You find a handful of igbos in SW states same way you find Yorubas in the East.
During the last national elections, you'd find that outside Lagos, the number of registered voters in SE and SW wasn't too far off, even with the political apathy of the SE.
The GSM users statistics per state showed the same pattern.
Keep overbloating igbos living in SW to massage your ego, don't buckle up on human capital development.
abeg yan another lie, igbos are much in other SW towns too as the cost of business and factors of production favour their businesses, the tolerant nature of their hosts in SW towns has also been a major boost. Your claim of underachieving by the SW has been busted by the recent released NBS statistics and if you igbos feel you are the reason the SW is doing well, then you guys should relocate your businesses back home and see if anything will change grin

They kept meeting imaginary Igbos in their hallucinations.
I served In Yorubaland and I couldn't wait to leave the place. The poverty oozing out from the whole place was nerve wrecking.
My cousin served in Ogbomosho too. His experience there still haunts him till today.

The Igbo migrates to anywhere there is opportunity not yet exploited, even in the most remote villages in the North.
It doesn't mean those places are better than Igboland. It simply means that similar opportunities like that in Igboland have already been exploited and would not yield much profit if they try to key into it in Igboland.
SE has the biggest population density in Nigeria as a zone, it has been like that before the colonials arrived and has stayed that way.
We have Yoruba people here in SE too. My tailor in Aba is a Yoruba man, he married and had lived there for years now. You wouldn't know because Igbos don't go about threatening strangers with drowning in Lagoon like a people who claim to be accommodating in western Nigeria.
keep telling the lies, the population density in the SE as you said should be a catalyst for serious human capital development as we see in other places in Nigeria and abroad but reverse is the case for the SE and you want me to clap my hands for that abi. so how many yorubas are in the SE compared to the number in the north to start with. abeg yan another lie

I doubt! But i’m certain Anambra has a better spread of wealthy/comfortable individuals and a better spread of wealth than any other state in Nigeria! And by ‘Anambrans’, i’m referring to both those at home and those in diaspora!
oga, the fact that people don't show off does not mean you are richer than them, states like Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti have very high number of wealthy individuals residing in those states but you guys keep using brown roofs to judge them, not all wealthy yoruba folks live or reside in Lagos, many just come to Lagos and go back to their bases, the high level of farming in the SW is another factor [especially the cocoa merchants in Osun and Ondo, its not only spare parts business or importation that makes millionaires or billionaires. If you talks about diaspora, living in osun for a while make me discover that there is a very high level of diaspora remittances to that state, I laughed when people doubt the economic indices of Osun state.

Nsukka, Nnewi, onitsha, Aba, okigwe, orlu etc are all hamlets abi, with no non-igbos living there.
The problem with yoruba people is that your knowledge is seriously limited to yoruba land alone.
I have traveled to the east very well, its not as livable as the SW reason your people flock to our land. I did NYSC in osogbo Osun state, even as yoruba person, met and interacted with many igbo graduates who served and were or still living in osun state. One secret confession they made was the surprised availability and affordability of food in state like Osun than in igbo land. When one corners your folks into a room, they begin to open up and admit the ease of life in the SW than in the SE. Am not deceived at all by online rants and lies. The migration of the SE people to the SW says it all. Let's all admit it.

Those statistics are bogus at best! don’t think any state in Nigeria has a wider spread of wealthy individuals and a wider spread of wealth than Anambra! The fact states like Imo and Abia have been governed by a hopeless set of individuals since 1999 would prevent me from saying much about their position....but that of Anambra i’m certain is way off mark!
this is the problem, few wealthy individuals is not a true reflection of the prosperity of a place. Do you have more wealthy men or middle class folks in anambra than poor people?
Politics › Re: Sokoto Poorest State In Nigeria - NBS (Full Statistics) by Goke7: 6:01pm On May 04, 2020
The average igbo man just thinks that having two or three shops in town means development and prosperity. I tell folks that non capital towns and cities in the SW are still ahead of many igbo cities, I mean places like Ilesha, Ondo town, Ijebu-ode, Sagamu, ota, ogbomoso, ore and so many others, these non capital towns are also very cosmopolitan as you find many northerners and other non yorubas there, it tells you how more livable these places are than many places in Nigeria.

Our Igbo peeps should chill, you guys and your states are overrated, fine houses and cars in your village do not mean development, but the access to the basic necessities of life means so much and that's why you guys move in droves down south especially to the SW and it makes no sense claiming you are developing other people's lands while yours are in ruins, you cannot deceive anyone, the restlessness of ipob is a true reflection of how bad things especially where it originates from in Abia state. A sober true assessment of the SE by the igbos will help instead of posting pictures upadan to deceitfully try to prove some points

No Disunity In Our Cabinet, I Have Cordial Relationship With My Deputy – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Friday, dismissed insinuation rift within the cabinet as he, his deputy and other cabinet members continue have very cordial relationships.

Governor Makinde made this known at the state headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ibadan, in commemoration of this year’s workers’ day.

“I have seen in the past weeks some articles which have attempted to divide us. They have insinuated rift within our cabinet and have tried to make it look like we are not united in this battle to restore the economic health of our great state.

“I want to assure the good people of Oyo State that these are just disgruntled people clutching at straws. The entire cabinet will continue to work with the labour movement, with the people of Oyo State to ensure the state attains its rightful place in Nigeria,”Nigerian Tribune quoted the governor as saying.

Igbos are not sheepish followers of men like the servile afonjas and their Northern caliphate masters. In Igboland respect is earned but given on the basis of just been a leader "for mouth" or even your age, you're only recognized based on merit and solid achievements regardless of your age. We are not like some people that have egregiously sold and donated their collective brains, destinies, and futures to one frog eyed midget in Lagos - who in turn has graciously tucked away the gross worth of their entire ethnicity into his agbada.

Little wonder why even in these pandemic crisis, we have seen which regions have fared better in dealing with the situations. While some regions have recoursed to fighting over loafs of bread and garri, along with resorting to thuggery and crime... their brothers up North haven't fared any better either with deaths and hunger ravaging them. Only the East has fared well considerably, and that's because single individuals have taken it upon themselves to donate massively to the welfare of their respective communities as numerous threads here have proved. We don't have to wait for some Jagaban who doesn't even care if we starve to death or not, or some Mallam to come to our aide.
merit in igboland? what a joke, you guys worship money and nothing more grin

and as for the pandemic in the SE, no testing is happening there but by the time testing start, water for don pass garri.
