Why should we allow the northern elites to always dictate to all of us huh
Why should we allow critical issues to our own welfare be scuttled by these "northern elites" who have only IMPOVERISHED their region despite decades of greater share of Niger Delta oil revenue?
Why ??
its because we southerners are too politically naive, that is our problem

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that the reforms Jonathan carried out in the power sector were good for the masses huh
why not, but it was bungled all because of politics which is what is still playing out now

You mean Akinwunmi Adesina was recommended as the president of the Africa Development Bank by PMB and not GEJ cheesy, some of you are comedians.

He protected Adesina, the Agric minister when people LIED about the phone scandal against him.
He protected Arunma Oteh, the DG of SEC when the representaTHIEVES tried to LIE against her also.

When Nnaji, Oduah, Asazi etc provided elements to be used against them by the power-by-all-means elite, Jonathan succumbed.
Those are examples of the "political inexperience" that IBB talked about.
Cheers.
You are very right, adesina is not a saint though but he himself was a very good politician and played himself into the good books of the northern elites. GEJ should have learned one or two things from adesina, he really played his game wella. Am personally aware of this. Azazi was a victim of circumstance. Oduah did not lost out eventually.

That is the danger of politics, critical issues are toyed with

I see sir. The same way you guys congratulated him for protecting his hardworking aviation minister (Stella Oduah) abi? In any case your idea about choosing which laws to obey is playing out under this administration, e still remain 3 years, lets see how it works for them and how many serious investors they will attract.
if you are a boss and you have a hardworking subordinate adding so much value to you, will you sack him even if people are telling you to do so? oduah to many GEJ fans [not me] was doing wonders according to them and the President left her alone just like the hardworking diezani according to them, I wonder why Nnaji could not enjoy such privileges too.

I think we are just highlighting all these because of the mess we are in now, critical issues such as power should not have the over bearing influence of politics which is what we are experiencing now. Personally I feel Fashola should give way now even though I admire him a lot.

gej booted out nnanji same way u guys forced him to boot out the late former nsa,Azazi cos they spoke some painful truth. Didnt the Npc former chairman, ojukwu got the boot as well for voicing out some secret truth that had bn going on for yrs @ the commission as regards lopsidedness in population numbers and census figures, didnt kwankwaso and other northerners call for his removal b4 he was forced to untimely resign? U mentioned Adesina, same disgrace wud have befallen him if he had spoken out as regards how emirs and rtd generals corner subsidised fertelisers in the agric sector more than he did..and besides,we all know the main reason and agenda behing pmb suggesting his promotion outta nigeria...

One Funny thing was that u guys never spoke or said a word against dasuki when he was nsa, like u fired late Azazi left right center, till pmb came and here u are talking about politics!
gej is done gone for petes sake! Cant we ever move ahead without him?
my guy, I understand your pain and we are on the same page, its up to the President at any point in time to protect his hardworking lieutenants when people are trying to blackmail them, that is why I gave an example of the present comptroller of customs that PMB has protected despite all the rantings about his appointment. The former president should have stucked to his guns on who and who to be appointed afterall, he never removed diezani despite all the rantings but alas in his bid for re-election he removed a man that was giving Nigerians almost 18hrs of power daily. That to me is what I cannot understand till today cos that would have given the needed political mileage.

Thank you for the free education you gave the young man. smiley
I was going to let him do his own research before helping him out if/as necessary.

Meanwhile, those who can reflect will understand why Jonathan's federal administration was LESS corrupt than the one of the APC navigator- Ebola Owu- despite the EFCC noise made by the Agbaya of Owu's paparazzi administration.
You are just playing politics man, GEJ goofed and played into the hands of those who never wanted regular power. Am aware of all the issues that led to the Nnaji removal, its one of those politics the elites play in Nigeria when Govt policies seems to be in favour of the majority.

They have also succeeded in hoodwinking Fashola and this is what is playing out now, some of us are not fooled
Politics › Re: Power Sector Illegally Sold, Fashola Says by Goke7: 9:48am On Jun 01, 2016
SergeAlain:
Everyone including GEJ appreciated Nnaji, but he had to be removed because he compromised himself by being involved in one if the assets being privatized at the time. GEJ reluctanctly removed him in the interest of transparency.

Please use google if you want to confirm this. Thank you.
Excuse me sir, law was made for man and not man for the law, the present comptroller of customs is a retired colonel, everyone shouted on his appointment but PMB did not give a damn and now customs generates revenue in 3 months what they were making in 6 months earlier.

GEJ in his bid for re-election wanted to please everybody and make all happy even to the detriment of the nation, we were having regular power supply when Nnaji placed soldiers in charge of phcn infrastructure despite the rantings of labour, Diesel and generator distributors started crying and the power cabals through the vp sambo finally prevailed on GEJ to have Nnaji removed. Forget the transparency talk, GEJ should have walked around it as the C in C and protected his hardworking minister which is done all over the world.

What have we achieved with the so called transparency bullshit now?

Indeed Fashola is a MISFIT just as Bola Ige was under Obasanjo.
Time to get someone who UNDERSTANDS about electricity generation and distribution like Nnaji. All this talk about illegal sales is just NONSENSE excuse for non-performance.
But your hero removed the guy despite the accolades he was receiving. You guys praise Nnaji but refuse to give GEJ the boot for removing the hardworking fellow, I think Nnaji would have easily be retained if GEJ had left him just like akinwunmi adesina was recommended as afdb president by PMB after sending Atiku to Zuma for the south african candidate to step down for adesina.

Politics at times need to be set aside for things to move faster.

Its high time for a cabinet reshuffle, Fashola played into the hands of the discos with the increase of the tariffs and he's the one bearing the brunt now. I think its high time a true expert is appointed as the minister of power, no sentiments or politics here.

The truth is PMB still got lots of goodwill among Nigerians despite the present hardship.

another evidence is the way Nigerians accepted the fuel hike and shunned the NLC strike, I personally was dumbfounded with the way TUC, NUPENG, Pengassan and most Nigerians shunned the most unsuccessful strike ever.

Those still opposed to PMB are still less than those still giving him a chance, now that's amazing.

That is the problem with most GEJ supporters, they have forgotten very fast how their hero was hounding all his enemies and the opposition around. El rufai was locked up in an hotel room, flights of opposition members were not given clearance to fly and so many more. They forgot how Bankole as HOR speaker was held by his trousers by efcc, let us have that now and you will see how they will be shouting.

By the time the govt and operators take steps to protect the pipelines I hope the pple they (NDA) will not turn to the Niger delta pple for patronage.
That was how book haram escalated. Let them continue to harbour criminals in their communities, when jungle mature, who no know go know. Let them keep playing politics with their own security

go and ask the cowardly army to stop the bombing of pipelines!! This guys has been attacking pipelines on daily basis and the stupiod military have been powerless to stop the attacks
The military has not been stupid rather they waited for the foolish criminals to exhibit all their stupidity, even pleaded with them before the whole world but since they want to get dirty, I bet you film never start, by the time the villagers won't be able to make gsm calls any more, they will finally realise that when you want a sovereign state, you must start to rehearse what it means to service an army and make them not look like cowards. They can go and enlist book haram fighters or Fulani herdsmen to beef up their defence against the Nigerian army. Rubbish
Politics › Re: Soldiers Shoot At Random In Oporoza, Warri, Delta State by Goke7: 1:47pm On May 28, 2016
The Niger deltans are cowards, when the pipelines are destroyed by these criminals, they rejoice but when the army lands, they cry foul, shebi they say the avengers are more deadly than book haram, let them come out and face the army if they are not cowards according to dokubo.

Fighting for a sovereign state means you have your armies ready if things go awry, so I dare the avengers to get into action and face the Nigerian army if they are truly freedom fighters.

Those who are thinking the economy will finally collapse are getting it wrong, PMB has got this covered and anticipated this all along. The oil revenue expected in 2016 budget is all time low this time around.

You think udoma and adeosun were talking rubbish when that said the budget won't be 100% implemented? It is the states especially from the ss that will groan more especially when their allocations start dwindling hence govs from delta, bayelsa and rivers are already shouting.

I have been saying this for some time now those NDA are wasting their time, oil will never develop anywhere and has never. The FG share of revenue is not affected, forget whatever they are saying, reason PMB is not too bothered right now.
