Welcome to the second edition of the e-Grace convention 20-14 happening right here on nairaland. It is with great joy that we welcome you all to this second edition of the e-convention of the religion section, theme: Ephphatha - Be opened (Mark 7:34 & Acts 26:17-18).

This edition of the e-Grace convention is organized to be an invasion of Grace of God in the life of Christians. Ladies & Gentlemen, we have manifold riches of God’s Grace deposited in us through the finished works of Christ. We trust God for the speakers for revelation knowledge to unfold and explore this great Grace of God to us.

The Christian life is how much of us is opened (ephphatha) to God’s unending revelation of the word. Many have struggled to understand what have been willed to them through the Grace of God and the finished works of Christ which is not what you worked for but what you inherit by the Grace of God. God had done it all for you before the foundation of the earth and you’re only invited to come and receive with the currency of faith what is already available for you.

We therefore trust God who gives the utterance through our speaker to open the mind and\or eyes of understanding of the participants and that lives will be graciously changed for our Lord and the Spirit of God will do the moving of the Pentecost unto our viewers\readers\partakers of this great event. We welcome you with the gracious love of Christ and this convention is hereby declared open in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit!

Please note:

There will be questions after each teaching session and our teachers will be around after their presentation to answer your questions. We encourage everyone to be orderly as in a Christian gathering. All questions must\should come after a teacher has come to the end of each presentation not in the middle of their teachings.

We thank God so far how we have gone towards this convention 20-14. The LORD is ready through the ministry of our speakers to bless us with great word of God. It's starting in 24 hours from now. Grace invasion is here to open us to the fullness of God's manifold favour.

If anyone will not be chanced or available on a particular day and time, just like striktlymi stated, like him or her say so now so we can work your day of availability preparing our time table for the speakers. If we don't receive any request to that effect by Monday evening, all scheduled day and time will be binding and we hope all our speakers will accept whatever day and time they are scheduled to do their presentation.

But the people that do know their God shall be strong and full of exploits...... (daniel 11 vs 32).

All these are the Lord's promises to us and throught His power all ur afflictions shall be delivered

This prophet here is advancing tithe and on another thread, claims he can solves all your problems.....please cure Ebola virus and why can't your prophetic calling foresee and foretell the coming of Ebola? Tithe is anti-Grace of God and we, as Christians are divorced from such. We give freely because we have received freely.

We should also understand it is the same Lord, who is the HEAD of the church that has and GOD who is HEAD of all that has given men to be in church of the church ministries. You came up with lies that there's nothing like God's tithe, asking me if what you pay to God today is God's tithe or not. Then I said, you should ask\answer yourself because you should show where God demanded HIS tithe from money aside what Zikky quoted. When you believe right, you will live right(eous). You can believe wrongly thinking you believe right. There's no secrets to wealth and if there is, definitely and certainly not by tithing. Hard word and God's blessings is what makes a successful living. We're encouraged to work with our hands, helping others and not tithing to God to rain down wealth on you. There're muslims who are wealthier than some or most Christians, what tithe made them wealthy?

If God defined His tithe and you come here to tell us, there's nothing like God's tithe. What opinion are you seeking? The bad news was Israel was divorced from covenant, and some of Judah too and were scattered among the nations.

The Grace Convention is an empowerment gathering that will unleash the Grace invasion into your life - Grace, all of Him and none of you power of God....so that no man will boast. The Law worketh the wrath of God (you get what you deserve) but God's Grace is His unmerited kindness\favour (you get what you don't deserve). This is the too good to be true goodness\good news of God's Grace....all because of Jesus.

Religion had taught us to that the Grace gospel is a license to sin gospel but the word of God proves it wrong. The word says, the power of sin is the law. 1 Corinthians 15:56. It says sin shall not have dominion over you. Why? The answer is, because you are not under the law. But it also says, but because you are under Grace...it went further in another place saying, this Grace, will teach you to live godliness etc. Titus 2:11-12.

The Grace gospel, when understood and not perversed, is the cure to sin....because it will teach you to live godly and living a life of the Spirit unlike the law or mixture with the law and the law worketh wrath of God. We urge you to invite you friends on this forum by mentioning their I.D towards the Grace Convention 2014.

^ Okay. I also support conciseness and straight to the point but what I'm saying is, some topics might need to thoroughly taught which will demand more post than another. And some will be short presentation. Anyway, let's hear from speakers themselves if there's any suggestion from any of them.

^ On the rules guiding the presentation, I suggest we eliminate NUMBER ONE rules. The reason being, someone's topic might require him\her to give intensive teachings so we shouldn't limit them to 2000 - 4000 words. It shouldn't be limited to TWO posts. It can be broken down to smaller post, readable depending on the length of the presentation but it shouldn't be a long post in a single post to allow readability for those who don't like reading long post. However, it should be given a proper formatting on the text and more importantly, easy to read and not too long at a single post but can be presented in as many as teacher deem it fit. We should give freedom to the teacher's intensive teaching.

Second, I'm trying to help you get to a point where you can see or consider that, ONE message is given and preached at every time of God's dealing with people and that ONE message which is called the gospel (too good to be true news from God). Here ^ above, we read, the gospel was also preached to people of Israel. Question: What gospel was preached to them? The same that is preached to the church of Christ? Because I understand the church is not Israel but Israel is part of the church and I also know what was preached to Israel. So what gospel was it? If you can identify what was preached to Israel then look into it and find out if it is the same with what is being preached to us, the church today.

declaro: I don't buy the idea of quoting bible in verses, I always read from the beginning of the chapter at which the quotation is taken from, it helps me to understand the particular thing that the verse is pointing at. Sometimes the story in that chapter is different from what the MoG is talking about and that most times brings contradictions between Christians.
Coming to the text you quoted: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets" vs "I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil". Most of my christian friends tells me that the Law that God gave Moses is no longer relevant for us Christians because Jesus has abolished the Law of Moses. Anyway that is what they learnt from their MoG quotation when he/she is trying to defend his church doctrine or trying to condemn another church's doctrine. Some MoG has gone to the point of condemning Old Testament just to condemn another church doctrine, but the same MoG will use the Old Testament to preach for people to pay their tithes.

Another issue in Christianity is, people use the Old Testament to interpret the new. This is one of the greatest damages to sound doctrine of our days. We can't use the old testament to interpret the new for Christian doctrine. The same way you said some of these men of God will condemn old testament but use it to justify tithe collection. These men will kill the truth of Christian doctrine for bit-by-bit truth. We must stand to the truth of the Gospel.

remsonik: I pity all the people that will say malachi 3:8-10 was for the old testament and not tithe. Hell is real. Heaven is real!!!

So we're going to hell for not tithing? Jesus and the Apostles must be in hell. When will all these falsehood stop?
