Good morning N'Landers,

I woke up early and I was hungry, I needed to step down before main food will be ready, the only small small food I've at home is cereal for my babies, I'm not really interested in that..

I checked home no milo again and we have few milk at home so I decided to go and but things I can quickly consume..

1. Bread×2 🍞 (₦2,000)
2. Milo =N1,800
3. Three crown milk = ₦450
4. Blue band butter = ₦1,000
5. Dangote sugar = ₦400

Behold ₦5,650 well spent, I took ₦6,000 in my pocket out and I came back with ₦350...
It's you that causes it. Why will you buy 2 bread. That's just the only mistake in the whole thing if not everything is perfect

This quote is from the Quran. What do you expect the Quran to say except what fits the Quran about Jesus?

God is the God of the whole world..... however He doesn't control all aspects of the world. If He was, look at how messed up the world is.
Does it then mean He cannot control the world?

There are deeper spiritual things my brother.
What we believe is this: God knows whatever happens. He knows about poverty and wealth, HE knows life or death, HE created health or sickness, at the end of the day, everything is just a test. Passing the test is a function of obedience to the laws and restraints from the boundaries He spelled out. Failing the test is from not been concerned about the meeting with God.

He will now reward people accordingly for the patience they had in enduring their difficulties, and punish those who authorised evil by disobeying HIM.

This statement of yours in bold should apply to you when it comes to the Bible. You guys affirm it's not true and yet your statement 'that you don't believe in it doesn't make it untrue' does not need to apply?

No one argues about the Quran containing 'deep words'.There are other mystic books. You have to be spiritually smart to know God doesn't control the whole world. There are kingdoms controlling the world.
The issue here is about the 'God Who sent Jesus'.His message and Truth is in Jesus !

By the way,you are yet to show me where Jesus said another prophet was coming.
We differe here in the opinion that God does not control the whole world.

LadyRosa2:
As the topic implies, this is a true life story.

Although my knowledge of this family started around when I was 19 years old.

I will call this friend of mine Sarah, the first child and daughter of her father. This true life story appears sad, and in my quiet times, especially recently, I'm beginning to feel sympathetic to both sides of the coin.

A few days ago, around 6 am, Sarah called me, and our conversation went like this;

Me: Babe, how far, this one you dey call by this time?
Sarah:I'm going to drop my papa at the park.
Me: for what na? Person wey just enter town yesterday? You for allow the man rest small...

Sarah: no be for my house, I don drop am, pay him transport, and still give am 5k to hold the body for the road.

Me: Babe, I dont support this one, in less than 24 hours your dad dey the Road for like 12 hours.

Sarah: That one no concern me, no be me invite am come.

A day earlier her father had called her from their previous location, he must have gotten there only to find out his 'ex-wife' had moved out. He decided to call Sarah, and she picked up, accommodated him for the night and bundled him back to the next available bus to Makurdi.

Truth be told, the ex-wife no longer lived in the slum he visited. She is now in a duplex, paid for by his first son. Let's call him David. David is in Europe and through one of my kinsmen, had secured a 3-bedroom duplex for his mom. His father is not aware of this.

Those children suffered men!

Big Mama, Sarah's mom was abandoned by her husband when Sarah was just 12 years old. The same year, Sarah was brutally raped by a neighbour because of 20 naira, while her mother was bedridden in the hospital after child evacuation. The father left while she was pregnant with the 5th child. Sarah would hawk all manner of foodstuffs to put food on the table. When she doesn't sell, she sells her body for peanuts to buy pepper and oil to make even the cheapest dried akro soup.

Her father had remarried and stopped caring about their welfare, a federal government worker in a good money-spinning ministry. He got transferred to another state and started a new life.

When I knew Sarah, she already had a child, a small saloon and four more mouths to feed. She would work in the morning and at night she would visit lounges. Life was hard, and so cigarettes and drinks became her god.Sarah till date is a chimney and she does so even in the presence of my husband, he no longer minds.

One cold night a couple of years ago, after we shared drinks at my place. She narrated how she and her siblings suffered.

" Sis, say my brother travel abroad, no be my power,na say God don look us say we don too suffer. David go gather wound for his body, from one Lebanese and Indian company to another, na so machine go dey cut cut his body. So so blue ink full him body"

I watched with tears how she broke down completely, spilling her wine all over my tiles.

"Sis, na 20 naira e take to lose my virginity, 20 naira!"

", My father...Wetin' we do am?!"

Two years ago and some months , she got a huge break. She called me to follow her to Transcorp Hilton and made me promise that I 'behave' myself.

We met this man, well groomed. We were half into the conversation when she looked at me with a forced smile, and said to me
" Sis, this is the man that raped me"

The spring rolls in my mouth turned into vinegar, my heart began to pound, and I could only see everyone but the man blurry. I eventually kept my cool but was silent the whole evening even as the man apologised profusely. My baby was beginning to cry, and I took the opportunity to leave their table because I was feeling sick and nauseated.

In less than 6 months after that encounter, he had secured a bigger and well-equipped saloon for her and had given her enough to travel out to buy hair.

Let's talk about David. David suffered oooo. I remembered one time I was going through her old pics and saw a younger version of David, sickly with his tummy protruded.

" My sister, na poison. My father come one day,, carry am go makurdi, na so person call my mother say make she come do carry her pikin before them kill am.My mother enters Moto, and as she stops for Keffi, she stand for Road dey beg for Moto wey go carry her reach makurdi, no money na. We carry am waka from one church to another before God just save that boy. "

I looked at the picture again and gently dropped it, still overwhelmed with internal grief. The first time I saw David in person after he graduated from the University ( he sponsored himself with the help of his sisters), I asked in bewilderment,

" So na this boy your father abandoned?"

Standing before me was a young man, fair, built and with a height I reckoned would be above 6. In inches. No wonder white women couldn't get off him as soon as he landed in Europe. He got married to one and life in that family changed in a flash. I enjoyed it for I got a cut from my father's kinsman when he bought a property.

Their father is no longer with the second wife, as she left him after three kids. He married a third and is now a retired pensioner.

Last night, while shopping together, Sarah was laughing and I asked, " Babe why you dey laugh"?

" When my father comes to my house, him dey ask me why I leave one bedroom go enter 3 bedrooms with my son. I tell am palee, this house no be rent o, na my house be this o."

" So wetin' him come talk?" I inquired.

"Wetin' him one talk again? Shebi waist pain wey my mama dey go through na say he left her when she was in her twenties. The woman has not seen Preek 4ck till today, because she carries church for the head. Woman wey him marry when she dey 17 years."

I choose to use the word ex-wife, but they never really divorced because the bride price paid is still binding. The fact that this woman who has suffered so much will soon be a mother-in-law to a German BMW Engineer in a few days is overwhelming. I wasn't surprised their last girl will end well, she's always looking like something out of foreign red carpets all the time. Like David, she is tall slim, surprisingly Conservative and intelligent.

Palee will be coming again to grace the marriage of one of the daughters he abandoned. Can't imagine his regret when he sleeps in a well-furnished duplex, away from the slum where he abandoned his children and wife many years ago, only to find out the first son from his loins bought that for his mother.

E go to pain am. embarassed

But one thing is certain or I think I noticed, David and Sarah still bear the hurt. The other kids have moved on, and don't mind being in their father's life.
these things are too long. 2023 is almost finished. Please let's try not to do long long writeups again in 2024.

When you engage people, be polite. That's basic. That you don't believe in it doesn't make it untrue. Apply reasonable parameters to test its authencity and don't relax in the comfort of your sentiments. There are professors and more accomplished scientists who affirm the miraculous nature of the Quran and report that no human could have known the contents of what is stated there 1400 years ago. It takes a lot of arrogance to write it all off just because you're not a Muslim. Be decent for once

Again he said,'Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. John 6:45

Which God do you know?Everyone who has believed the God Who sent Jesus follows Christ!
no body believes and follows Jesus (peace upon him) like Muslims. An entire chapter of the Quran is named after his mom detailing his birth and message. He was sent to confirm the same message of monotheism that was sent to prophets before him, and give news of a prophet after him named Muhammad (pbuh). So believe in what Jesus said and in what Muhammad (saw) the final prophet was sent with.

RomanceRe: The Type Of Men I Don't Want (personal Opinion) by Greenfaces:
1Sharon:
Would you even look her way to begin with? Ofcourse. Anybody that challenges you has a poor character.
Let me tell you how it works

It's not about seeing a girl at first sight. What you see at first sight has to do with the fulfillment of an urge at that time. The height, the complexion, the buttocks for some, the pointed nose, the voice, the eyes and all. Once that urge is satisfied, you start seeing clearly.

Those factors play only 20% of the role that determines how long you would be with her. Sometimes, this perceived period is extended due to circumstances. Some for the sex to pass time, others to allow time and events properly introduce her to you to see if her too-good-to-be-true sides are actually just acting.

What keeps a man (a person who is not given to promiscuity, a person who honours his words, a sincere person of course) not the ones you girls are in the habit of meeting just because he passed your first glance evaluation test that was actually based on his finances. Yes! What makes a man respect you, miss you, sacrifice for you, look for you, stay with you, value you, is 90% the values he gets from your character. If you ask 100 men their first quality of a good wife, 90 will tell you respect. Its that simple. And this is why men can tie the nots with ladies from very diverse economic backgrounds. Men get married to ladies on wheel chairs, check 90% of the marriages with men, the ladies are not actually the prettiest they met, they have seem and still see more beautiful girls even from other races. In fact, you can meet a pretty lady everyday of your life that will say yes to your advances. But when you are looking for a wife, you don't look for her in the same places you looked for friends with benefits, girlfriends till you are financially ready to settle, you don't even date her for as long. Now ask your self. How are you meeting men. Are you in relationship with the ones who responded to the tight short skirt you wore? Or that person who comes to meet you because your neighbour described your personality to him. Or the ones that saw how professionally you handled a task or how you comforted him in his very low point in life? The stories cannot be the same.

Now combining these factors together, if you meet a beautiful lady ( who by virtue of her beauty, is very much on the radar for observation or engagement from many suitors) And she is still single at around 35, 80% says she has a bad character. Because more likely than not, many people have gotten close enough to see and know for certain that they cannot spend their lives with her. Another 18% says she met or dated a time waster and only 1% is for the chances that she has never met anyone ready.

Addressing the part you said challenging me (I know you mean men as a lot) is the definition of poor character. Well... that response would have been for a situation where i referred to you as a lot (ladies generally). But no! I was referring to you Sharon particularly. I know you. But you don't know me again. You did something that I found very offensive and thats why I wrote that.

They say that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", but honestly speaking there are certain calibres of men I will never go near no matter how hard they try.

To get straight to the point,

1. Short men
Oh my God.... I don't just know what to say about these sort of men. If I'm taller than you as a girl, then sorry but I can never see you as my second piece. You'll always be like a younger brother to me. No hard feelings.
Short men also have this irritating attitude whenever they see girls around, as if they're trying to compensate for their low height. And some even go to the gym and gets muscles.... But it just makes them look shorter like a 5 litre jerry can and irritating
Also, why in the world would I pick a short guy over a tall guy? I literally feel so protected and safe when I'm with a guy that is wayyyy taller than me (I'm 5'2 so my height is kinda average)... So ofc I'd want a tall man and not a mini man.
Imagine hugging a man and he's hugging your waist cause he's short ugh.
I wanna stand on my toes whenever I kiss him and strain my neck just to look at his face. No more no less.
Tall men also stand out more, they're far more attractive and I also want taller sons and daughters.
Who should the short guys date then? I dunno... But not me.
The bar starts at 6'0, but If you're like 6'2 or 6'3... I want your babiesss

2. Bald men
The only age where I think baldness is acceptable as a man for me is if he's like in his 50s or 60s. But if you're in your 20s-30s and you're already going bald.... It just irritates me low-key in a inexplicable way... Like why will a young guy have a hairline that receeds all the way to the middle or back of your head? Where did all your hair go? Gross
I also read somewhere that early balding is genetically inherited so that means my children too will suffer the same fate? God forbid.
My man ought to have a head full of hair well into his 60s, then we start talking about hair loss.

3. "Oju yo Bo" people
I didn't know the English term for this so I had to Google it. It's a Yoruba term for people whose eyes pop out of their sockets like that of a wall gecko. This is also something I don't like in my man.... I want his eyes to be like that of Henry Cahill... Neatly tucked inside and having small slit like opening.

Addition: so I just googled it and it's called prey eyes. I prefer the hunter one since it gives my man a piercing gaze and I just wanna hug him immediately.

4. Eyebrows
A man MUST have thick eyebrows. If you don't, I can't take you seriously

5. Men with bad posture

6. Men who supports man U grin

That last one was a joke but I'm dead serious about the rest. And I'm sure other girls will agree to some up there too.
no sensible man would want you though. Your mentality can't help a man win. And I guess you are really looking for a man that has won already. No man that has won would settle for a low mentality like you except he's induced by your roruba charms
