You guys take it easy on the Governor. It's being hard for him and now his father a victim of the striking doctors.what can he possibly do?If you have the means like him then why not get help outside. While the poor can as well simply travel to the next state with available health care,i mean as your money reach you.Even with the doctors not striking or fired the poor man has always patronized herbal remedies, traditional healers, pharmacist etc grin grin

Abagworo: So Innoson does manufacture mini trucks and saloon. I think I'll like to patronize them and I urge every patriot to patronize them even if their car is not up to Toyota or Mercedes standard.

BTW seems they don't know the importance of advert.
The Government are responsible for killing this automobile companies.I don't know why on earth government is still buying vehicles frrm automobile companies not presently having anything in Nigeria. You can imagine police buying 0ver a thousand cars from strange companies.Like ford, toyota, tata, mitsubishi, mazda etc don't want to encourage local manufacturing of automobile. We have volkwagen in lagos,Anammco in Enugu,PAN in Kaduna and now innoson in Anambra. Why does government want to buy that this people don't produce.Even FRSC acquires ambulance and patrol vehicles from ford. Why?C'mon ban purchase for atleast government ministries and agencies.until this companies grow, create employment for Nigerians etc

scopusng: For me, I think it's possible. Buhari and Fashola ticket could work magic.
^^^ Honestly i think that Buahri and Tinubu should stick to the party manifesto and act as fathers/council to the younger folks. We have Fashola,El-rufai,don't know about Ribadu,Bakare,Dora Akunyili & alot more fresh and proven young fighters and visionaries. They should promote fresh people with proven records. Some people could be woe from other parties.Once they present a formidable platform.Buhari seems to be working for somebody else to replace him.I hope he does that, than run personally.I hope regardless of the permutation Fashola is part of it.

Thank you for saying this, because I want my Igbo brothers to understand that we must make sure that history never repeats. I pray everyday that the leaders of my people do not behave like some of the ones commenting on this thread if ever we need to fight again. I pray that my type sits there at the strategy room. cool

@My Igbo brothers.

I hope you now see why I tell you (almost constantly), that we Ndigbo should never cede any land anywhere in Nigeria.
We MUST BE PREPARED TO FIGHT in the CORE NORTH, WEST AND MIDDLE BELT. There is a way to do that which I will not discuss here. We only need to thank God for our POPULATION. It will come handy should such evil days show up; but it would be totally useless if we continue to be pacific in Nigeria.
Nobody will respect us until we show that we are ready to fight.
All the insults in Nigeria will end the day we speak loud and clear that we are ready to fight against ANYBODY to create a progressive space for ourselves and our children.

afam4eva: Was the fuss about this boko haram guy being Yoruba? And why are you guys asking for his family compound to assertain his Yorubaness. Why did you not ask same of the numerous so-called northern bokoharamist that could be from Niger and Lake Chad. But you label all of them Hausa. Are there no Yoruba rapists, Robbers, kidnappers? Why is this any different. There are good and bad people in every society, so accept it and move on. If tomorrow the catch a boko haram guy from Enugu state, how does that affect me? I'm me and he is him. That we're both Igbos does not makes us to act, talk and behave in the same manner. Everyone was brought up in a different way and are shaped by the society they live in. To me, what will make news is if a Yoruba terrorist is caught in Ibadan or Abeokuta and not one that has lived in the north his entire life.
^^^^ Reasonable talk my brother.the same way Northerners feel about this group and how they feel when they can't understand why someone acts like BH or others think everyone is supportive, simply because they are from the Hausa,Kanuri or from the north.People are disappointed and worried but little is given to them to express themselves against the BH menace. If you speak against them the next thing you hear is you are a covert apologist and it's a public show off with a hidden motive. You keep quiet and try to minimize criticism and go about your business/shack your panadol.some dunce comes out to say you have not condemned it or volunteer information. How about you didn't know or hardly were there.Did the yorubas get prior information or did they ever know about his plans until he is caught or action hatched.

Gbawe: Simple. Even in the wider context of humanity, all sane adults know the difference between right and wrong. Yet many adults will embrace criminality and deviancy as a personal choice. Even if this chap is Yoruba, how does that take anything away from the many Yoruba folks who have and continue to contribute postively to humanity?
^^^ Beats me.It's about dealing with it and ensuring it is tackled and not repeated again.

Remember the 2011 election when Bakare was asked to step down and he did not.
^^^ Obviously from the read you can see that they know about that and the reason for a committee to walk on a common front.Like they said it's slightly timely to start all the setup now.Where they don't agree they have time to go back and come up with a agreeable position. It's workable if the right people encourage them and suggest the importance of Good candidates for position on a common platform at the end.

You will kidnap foreign citizens and you won't be labelled an international terror group?
Perhaps I can help you complete your dumb idea
6. The Nigerian armed forces attacks you with the excuse that you are a terror group and commit genocide. The UN and foreign countries turn a blind eye as long as their citizens are safe and freed, the leader including the OP flee to Cote d Ivore where they are deported back to Nigeria for fear of Nigeria attacking them and they are all hanged for treason on arrival
and everyone lives happily ever after (atleast almost everyone)
^^^^^^^^ chai una no go kill man with laugh grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
.My brother he is not calculating the multiple angles to it.Even the west can't stay for a week without the oil. With the Iranian sanctions to ice oil purchase from Iran. The alternative phase is in place and as a matter of fact Nigeria is an alternative.Shutting supply or attacking the instillation amounts to sanctions of oil on the west and before dawn the Americans will have deployed there defense policy for Nigeria to secure the oil fields and allow you face off with the Nigerian army.If you kidnap there nationals like in Libya, first things first is to see who can help out.
Some will doubt the Nigerian army abilities and covert rescue missions will have being deployed to capture and rescue as much as they can to minimize casualty. Finally i dey laugh, even more with the kidnappings going on.I hope say no be Igbo strategy of rehearsals towards mass kidnapping on this ill planned dooms day for the Biafrans again.I also feel you either don't mean it or lack sophistication. Why would you want to tell us now before 2019?You have lost alot in warfare my guy.Deception and element of surprise!Except this your talk na wash!!!!! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Why all the quarreling? The JTF has not clearly stated how they got the information about his origin. Its also may be possible the have got credible facts to go public with this information.Than to quarrel over this,we should be glad atleast government is making giant strives to apprehend key figures within the BH camp.We shouldn't be troubled about ethnicity. This thing is about ideology. There silly commanders/leaders have thought this people and misdirected there thoughts. This BH group is not a tribe.
The way i see it is like rev. King and his followers.Regardless of his actions his followers still believe he did the right thing. Before he was caught it is obvious his religious denomination would have had people in all works of life and of different ethnicity.
That explains the different tribes coincidentally involved in this group.Even within the BH movement alot of original followers may have dumped the movement after it went violent and some have also left along the line as if became a bigger issue and more dangerous. While others may have indeed turn violent and also maintained an ideology that they are at war with the Nigerian state and any opposition.
Anyway i just appreciate the effort to disown the member by the yoruba folks. If he turns out to be a member, the yorubas should not beat themselves over it.In every twelve, there is always a judas. You can't account for all yorubas and you can't assume that all yorubas are free of many criminal activities out there. That said in alot of locations across the north.some Non-Northerners have being apprehended with links to BH and as such is not the issue. From suppliers to host and field operatives.lets just be happy security is gradually waking up and progress is being made.
Also abeg let this be cleared facts and not another Dokepsi stunt or PDP against ACN publicity stunt o!.As is sad when you begin to believe and then later you feel played by the government.I will not be surprise if the government is lying sha!

Politics › Re: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by hakanai(m): 2:00pm On May 12, 2012
alj harem: Jos people use to be the best people I had always wanted to associate myself with, even till now. I think the issue of indigenes and settlers took a new dimension in Jos. My brother, anyone would do the same if faced with "strangers" over lording them in "their land". I think if we use that standard, Yorubas are not any better than Jos indigenes as well.

The issue with the Ijaws is of resent times, I have met a lot of Ijaws in Lagos and I know them to be smiling always. More like I have never seen before, very friendly people and level headed.

Asari Dokubo couple with his Igbo goons here on Nairaland are painting a totally different picture of Ijaw people.

The first ever fight Ijaws had in recent times was in lagos and was because of Asari Dokubo plan. Although I do not expect better since he said he is 40% Igbo and 60% Ijaw.
Please remind when the Gbong gwom turn hausa? When last did another person rule them except for themselves.Solomon lar was there governor in the ever first elections.fidelis tapgun, dariye and jang.Where is the Hausa lord? The Gbong gwoms from colonial times have being who?Beroms. All the settlers have is lands and property acquired or built with approvals.
Do you know how you do paper works for landed property in Northern Nigeria? You need district chiefs and royal fathers to sign and collect some tax for it.Then tomorrow you say they want to lord it over you, after giving you all this respect. This same belief is what has being driving the massacre of people in Jos.Over things that they have shared for a long time without any issue.
Obasanjo during a mediation once asked what the indigents wanted to bring peace and they said all Muslim/Hausa must leave there lands. He asked further why ? they had no reason. His response was how would some one who is law abiding and has gone through process to acquire be asked to return it.He said even the Nigerian constitution allows for Nigerians to move freely and settle anywhere.except where they commit a crime.they deserve to be given a chance to go about there normal lifes. Here is thing, the Beroms can't build jos alone and settle others for all there investment on the plateau.I was thinking since leadership is not in doubt. Why not tax the settlers and build the natives. You can't destroy someones investment to regain economic control like that.
sad enough while they were shouting for Hausas to leave, the Bauchi state assembly got furious and ask that same be done to there indigents in Bauchi and behold the results showed alot of government work position were held by the same Beroms and plateau indigents in other peoples state too.while in plateau they have sacked non indigents. With disregard for faith but only by tribe.Especially by the Beroms!Named the Berom agenda of dominance with oga jonah on the board of trustee.
Policians have killed that state.By the same natives political elements who have said it or done it.I remember even solomon lar said Jang is a problem for peace in plateau because of his stubbornness.Alot of elders too have come out to repeat same. The thing is,it will not be long before they crest you a bought over traitor or the Hausas or Muslims stooge. How come other places have gone passed the situation and forged ahead and prospered.Except for the Beroms?
Politics › Re: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by hakanai(m):
Abagworo: Lagos cannot be used as a yardstick to measure how accomodating Yorubas are. Ibadan, Ilesha, Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Ogbomosho, Ife, Ado, Ede etc should be used instead. The cosmopolitan nature of Lagos owes a lot to its years as the capital. Look at Abuja today, It is almost more cosmopolitan than Lagos in less than 14 years and there are no area boys extorting people or claiming landed properties. That does not translate into Northerners being more accommodating. Shift the capital to Yenagoa and within 10 years it will also outgrow Abuja in mix of tribes, ethnicity and races
^^^ you are right in some areas and greatly wrong on the other issues. What you have to look at is the broad perception of the yoruba people. How they perceive other Nigerians. If you ask all geopolitical zone indigents how they feel with regards to safety and accommodating them in other zones, they would simply pick SW.I mean across zones SW will have an overwhelming thumbs up for visits.Without doubt the yorubas are definitely most accommodating and cosmopolitan.
Politics › Re: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by hakanai(m): 1:26pm On May 12, 2012
alj harem: Jos indigenes are not bad themselves.

Also the Ijaws
^^^I doubt that. The Jos people to a large extent are hostile.I would have accepted this view in the past but not now abeg.It also depends on which tribe or locality. Please don't say they were changed or are fighting for there rights. That is the tale given to allow ethnic cleanse in Jos by the inhabitants.
The Ijaws are not hospitable or polite at all. They are naturally aggressive and it won't take long for you to spot an Ijawman by that. Also they are not receptive.Inshort another tribe similar to there aggressiveness is the Fulani.Thought the Fulanis are quiet contrary to the IJaws, they are readily aggressive too.

I beg to disagree with the Osun state governor. Why should the north have a Northern Ministry. Please please if anything use the ministry money without the ministry and probe the mismanagement of funds and the extravagant lifestyle of the elite shikenan!Ensure people get Ibori style terms abeg but on Nigerian soil.
That said, the real problem now is security and education and that does not in anyway amount to a special focus or particular emphasis in the status of an entire ministry. In short this is a wasteful suggestion.Efficiency is what we need in the country and the north. So what happens if that ministry continues to steal monies.

this isnt about who is cannibal or not

there is clearly something not right in some part of the north and if u think simply creaing arewa rep will solve issues u be suprised

there is something wrong with the hausas and associates up in the north

something doesnt seem right

very serious cool
^^^ As much as you want to generalize and lump up or instigate,i tell you must of it is lies and some northern states have yet to witness any of this rubbish.Secondly as the Christians are pained so the Muslims when they all suffer loses.I am greatly pained because till date this silly bunch include any type of elder are yet to challenge the right people and ensure fairness in all places. Why suggest a one side story than identify the real position of things.
Forward a strong position on issues with fairness. If its true also that we share relations and neighbors with Northern Christians up north, how come they have not noticed or volunteered enough information to tackle the menace.Atleast they should be able to clearly identify the people around the areas. So my question again why have they kept mute.I have friends and family members who are Christians and we don't hide our positions to each other. They are amongst us and we relate with them. They also know people around. The same way a Muslim will also notice any activity. So they should also volunteer information. Why put the whole blame on a section and exclude yourself. How are you sure they only reside in within strictly Muslims population. Can you tell me that not a single christian reside there to notice or report anything?
About the non existence of northern unity i agree and feel okay about it.They keep yaping always about being side lined, how many people have rule the country and how many times my own tribe(Muslims) rule?Non, yet Gowon from a smaller tribe has done that.We can't not rule together. Why not work together as separate entity or what i ever i don't give a hoot. The Boko haram is not a belonging of anyone. It's supported by the large majority and all they need to do is close the gap by talking positively and giving solutions and if possible pointing fingers at persons,if they have the evidence.
saying the North should forget 2015 is no biggie after all what the heck did we get from northern leadership.Presently i wish Fashola can rule us all. Also were they ever supportive of the Northern candidates in the first place?Even of recent. So what has changed?Nothing!

Pls could we go find out the root causes! I'm afraid to say this but I'm sympathetic aside the fact tht its detoriated to total anrchy and death of innocent ppl but they're fightin a just cause!!
^^^^ My brother forget all you are saying they were misguided by there leader and they now think it's all about them forgetting that they simply accumulate tonnes of sins for killing the innocent and destroying the peace.I don't give a f**K about this people. My only disappointment is how did this happen even where for years the security has being given money and have experienced crisis and other things.Today we want to stop them but only finance police and forget SSS or customs or immigration.why self in Allah's name should soldiers be used in civil issues in Nigeria.
You fought MEND and other violent groups and till date our Mobile men are short of experience, ill equipped and poorly trained. If only they learn by now,our Mobile men or ATS or bomb squad should have being pondering on likely scenarios and countering them with training(if the military trainings looks more effective, give them) and re-equipping(if they need battle tanks customize for civilian conflicts let them have it).I say forget the silly excuse that they are poorly funded.Okay with the little they have what changes have they made. This is how you know someone is not serious. Can't you make do with the little so people see how far you have gone to justify that little finance. They even lack the will and mostly joined the force with a different mindset or suffer from contamination by old corrupt force men and negligence. angry angry angry
That is why when GEJ shouts enough is enough or we will get to the bottom of it i laugh. Are this the same people you want to trust in taking your orders seriously. when they can't even respond to distress calls of citizens or robbery in there there immediate vicinity.A DPO tells you he has no fuel and yet he can use the official vehicles to attend unofficial occasions.hell no,give them responsibilities and you fail, that's the door?A bomb goes off in your sector immediately the holes should be detected and if negligence is found someone please get going or stand prosecution. Also for Allah's sake let the security establishment be open up to the EFCC and ICPC.I know it will be child's play all the corruption they have dealt with compared to the legalized version going on in the forces.
Finding out the root cause is not the issue they choose violence and they deserve to be met with same force. If they want justice go to court.People have being going there and in many cases got justice. If in any case you feel it's not enough go to the ICC at the hague. That is seeking justice and that is fighting for a genuine cause. If today they use the courts or protest peacefully on the street. They will win hearts and mind to there quest. Also people of all sphere would have jumped on board to support them. But what they say and do is typical of a group looking for trouble and the destruction of progress/peace.So i don't buy the excuse.
