Alot of Good points sha!
How come you excluded the killing of muslims or rustling of cattles in Plateau and southern kaduna(zangon kataf and zankowa). Will the christian traditional rulers be asked same thing or blamed for allowing same in there domain. How about the Riyom express way killings of Muslims en-route to Bauchi or Kuru karama massacre of an entire vallage of muslims even after the traditional ruler deceived them to stay so his people can slay them or tim-tim or heipang or salah day cannibalism of muslims? Can the traditional rulers point to the assailants so that justice is done too.It is only fair the justice be done whole.Don't be bias. How many times have any of the traditional rulers of this domain even consider pay a condolence visit or inspecting the level of destruction.Remind did Gbong gwom pay any visit after the massacre of 150 Muslims in his realm?
I don't support BH and it will be wrong to group Muslims into it.If you can erroneously say covertly Muslims support it then it is only fair to assume same for Christians in various communities who massacre Muslims.Lastly about the haramist,i doubt if the Muslim Ummah or ulama can call them to order. This same ummah and ulama, have suffered fatalities for voicing out or resisting there presence. Now you ask the government to put her security infrastructure to good use and hit this goons out of existence.Stop suggesting people do it for the government. That is why arms are restricted, that is why laws exist and that is why some people are paid to tackle security issues.Last i checked people even flaunt weapons in public while police men watch.Even in the Jos cannibalism saga,in the video you notice police just watched them mutilate and feed on corpses.inshort one cannibal took as piece and teased a policeman.Okay its bad you couldn't save the person, will it be wrong to enforce the law and apprehend the cannibals.Abi our law allows feasting on human beings?
If anything information has being puring in and even the SSS suggest people have being co-operating and even apprehending suspects. But we all know even today in Maiduguri the army is not really like after BH,but harassing people to make money. They catch you chatting and hanging out,you bail yourself with 50K.Otherwise the next day they shoot you or suggest your are BH.Whilst the real BH have created enclaves known to even this security men.The security men are scared and just ignore such hot spot.NOCEF you need to do your home work and present facts as they are especially when you are suppose to represent a religious group.Alot is done by the Ummah and Ulama.Only that it has limits and areas that becomes a thing for the government.Maybe you should also insist not suggest please FGN release names and masterminds.prosecute them also to conclusion and anyone found guilty executed shikenan!

Politics › Re: Buhari, Tinubu Move To Revive Alliance Between AC & CPC by hakanai(m): 10:53am On May 09, 2012
some folks here are clearly not happy about the merger talks. This is a good indication PDP and her deceptive advocates are trembling in there pants already. This is the thing,Buhari is not meeting him to support his candidature for 2015 (simply because he has without doubt stated he would support a new person).
I also feel that the merger talks is just to initiate talks for the two platforms.Meaning if the two leaders (Buhari and Tinubu) are not around today,The parties will simply continue with talks.Just like PDP and APGA(with Ojukwu's health). So here is the thing for people also saying it's to early.for PDP aspirant yes is too early, but for merger talks and so many other setting up,it's even a bit late. It's a good move and i feel it will give people hope,an alternative from the PDP and allow people go pass the regional representation this parties hold.I hope they also woe in more parties.
While at it,they should becareful not to allow PDP undercover to sip in and destroy any hope of a progressive merger of the opposition. Some people are clearly upset because it's better they keep believing in a failure and suffer, than liberate or give change a chance from the current status brought upon Nigerians by the PDP.It's not always about GEJ and it's alot more.If GEJ was honest when the merger talks are over he can offer to run in the opposition to prove his stance that PDP is bad and he is a different stock from it.Shikena else he is one and the same with PDP.
There is nothing like i voted GEJ not PDP.GEJ is PDP and PDP is GEJ!!!!! undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Gbawe: No, not really. Comical actually and as Haka Nai said, it is most likely the work of an active imagination. Nonetheless still worth putting out there because of the OBJ factor grin grin grin

I personally think OBJ's influence has waned considerably. We have to remember that he lost the SW to the ACN and is now only boss to failed Politicians like Oni, Oyinlola, Omisore et al who are as disliked as he is in the SW.

Also, the North is unlikely to ever trust OBJ again given that he wrong-footed them with GEJ after enjoying 8 years on behalf of the SW as per the 'arrangement'.
^^^ That is why i feel the poly is more of a stunt to even further alienate the political players and OBJ who seems to be going rogue. If you ask me,the content of this is more discrediting. For some elements in certain areas, particularly southern.I see Nigerian Politicians from the GEJ camp trying to lump up political king makers and disgracing them as scape goats to win another cheap favor and as usual ride on the sentiments destroying the nation.
While The same crooks try to market themselves as clean and new, they will associate, suggest and direct public distrust and failures to former key elements of the PDP who may not want to support a person like GEJ again.I also see likely incrimination of elements too. Before now OBJ used a stylish anti-corruption crusade to hold victimize. While this GEJ peeps will deploy both corruption evidence and linking of elements to Boko-haram.To black mail, tune public sentiments etc
I just hope when they are done,a build up hate and an expanding divide to allow one party and one man to continue to rule does not destroy a nation. undecided undecided undecided undecided

Nigeria: 2015 Not On My Mind - Jonathan
6 May 2012
President Goodluck Jonathan (Photo Courtesy Vanguard)

President Goodluck Jonathan warns those heating up the polity on the grounds that he wants to return to office in 2015 to hold their fire as re-election is not on his mind.

In a statement from the Presidency, yesterday, the president noted with deep concerns the growing furore in political circles and the media over the purported re-election bid.

The statement reads: "What began as an irritating distraction some months ago, appears to have now assumed a life of its own, dominating political discourse in the country, with all kinds of mischief-makers and opportunists latching on to it, to heat up the polity unnecessarily.

"The pointless, diversionary and very distractive hue and cry about the President's alleged ambition to seek a second term in office is becoming increasingly disturbing by the day with headlines such as "Jonathan's 2015 Ambition Can Break Up Nigeria" and "Jonathan's 2015 Ambition Fueling Insecurity," now regular fare in our newspapers and on the internet.

"For the avoidance of any doubt whatsoever, President Jonathan wishes to reiterate that his primary concern and the focus of all his efforts now, just about a year into the four-year tenure for which he was elected in April 2011, is to deliver on his promise of positive national transformation.

On Jonathan and 2015

"The President's sole preoccupation as the nation moves towards the first anniversary of his administration on May 29, 2012 is to continue to give effective and purposeful leadership that will steer Nigeria towards overcoming its immediate security and developmental challenges.

"Nothing could be farther from President Jonathan's mind at this point in time than the 2015 elections. The President has definitely not directed or authorized any individual or group to launch any campaign on his behalf.

"As he has repeatedly warned on many occasions, including the last national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, the inordinate ambition of a few self-centred Nigerians and their obsession with the politics of political succession in 2015 must not be allowed to distract the nation and its current leadership from the task of dealing with the much more urgent issues of development and the safety of Nigerians in all parts of the country.

"President Jonathan urges the political class and the Nigerian mass media, once again, to focus on the immediate priority of protecting, preserving and consolidating democratic governance in Nigeria, and giving the nation's current crop of elected leaders at all levels the opportunity to deliver on their promises to the people without the distraction of an unending campaign for future elections".

Politics › Re: Violence In Plateau State: 13 Killed, 30 Houses Burnt In Berom Villages, Riyom by hakanai(m): 6:11pm On May 04, 2012
tiarabubu: ok the biased "southern press" are not publishing stories about Muslims and hausa fulani being killed.

I have been reading DAILY TRUST and LEADERSHIP newspapers (both northern paper) and i have not seen them report more of "fulani Muslim" murders than the biased"southern press have.

Have they been bought over?

Truth be told the Jos people used to be very hospitable people (as evidenced by the horde of people from different parts of the world that have made Jos their permanent abode including yours sincerely) until the Hausa Fulani wanted to politically dominate as they have done elsewhere. That started with the Hausa Fulani starting a fight in 2001/02 in which the natives suffered losses. The pandora box was open and the genie refused to go back.

The fulani should respect themselves. they fought the tivs, jukun, birom, vere, edo, nupe, kona etc in about 6 states in the last 10years. The berroms have not be known to fight their neighbours in the last 100 years until the fulanis came strolling in

The press had nothing to do with their violent nature abeg.

The tendency for the Hausa Fulani to scream "'Muslims" are under attack' has successfully polarize a purely tribal war into a religious one and people are swayed based on their religious inclination. this is the sad part of it all. Some of the people the fulanis have murdered in these state are MUSLIMS too!!!
^^^ I laugh at your enduring ignorance.Lets even cast our mind to dogo na hawa massacre, did you know that the daily trust editor covering the incidence was almost lynched.funny enough he is a Berom Muslim! They didn't mind because for the Berom is a Christian agenda. Also did you remember the panel set up to look in to the Jos crisis by Jang. The daily trust was indited by the same Berom witness and Berom led government.Simply because they covered a rather balance reporting. They were accuse for inciting the violence. When you come here and try to spew crap you just display your ignorance.
Why is it only Berom fighting in Jos?While other places hardly have issues.About if the Muslims are under attack?without doubt in plateau it is the case.Do you know the Beroms started the blood letting with all Berom muslims they could kill? Shiek Sulaiman Choji is one of the survivors of such atrocities. So is the Berom Muslim Hausa?Abi it is question of killing any Muslim?
About the fulanis you can also say they were never interested in Plateau politics. They hardly cared about government until the hausa/ berom feud came to there door step and they suffered the first casualties.Myetti-Allah made a formal report to police FCID to investigate the killing of over 300 fulanis herdsmen in Jos.They also identified about 15 kiiled around the Jang residence and the governor did nothing. Not even a distress call yet he remembered to complain the army didn't respond on time at dogo na hawa during the attack despite his calls.
In several occasions and meeting the Fulani have begin fooled by the Berom that they are not at war with them but with the Hausas.Later the fulanis will reliaze that is not true. When ever the Beroms even go hungry the fulani is the next target.Simply because the Hausas have moulded safe enclaves and is untouchable to the Beroms. The Hausas in jos town only go on a violent spree nowadays after news of Hausas or Muslims Killed around the berom enclaves via blocking roads and killing any Muslim. Can you ask yourself one question why the Berom decided to block Tahoss, riyom railway crossing, only to massacre and bury Muslims on transit.regardless of tribe?I know in one incidence Gombe indigenes passing through were the victims.7 out of 15.This was exposed when only when a lone survivor led the army back to the mass graves. While there families wait the travelers disappear.
I can tell you without doubt the Beroms attack the fulanis and nobody reports anything.Steal there cattle and kill the herdsmen.During the state of emergency enforced by OBj alon ethe fulanis had lost over thousands of cattles and herdsmen.yet they would be called to the table and they will come and accept it has happened and its God's will.Over time it has become obvious that the fulanis have to retaliate and right now the top the chat in Jos for quick response.Even the honest Beroms will tell you that.A fulani herdsman goes missing Berom villages will even try to dissociate and point fingers at the village responsible and without doubt behold the Fulani will draw blood anytime or day they see the village become vulnerable.
The Berom know this.
I remember Bakin ladi where the Beroms killed some Fulani folks 2 actually and stole there cows. The fulanis reported to the Police who took them to the local Berom ruler who told them it's a lie and Beroms don't steal. They now choose the option of retaliations before dawn a section of the community was attacked and scores killed. They went to the Berom ruler because before then 3 fulanis were roasted alife and buried when they reported that they had spotted there cattles taken from then in a village. The authorities went with the 3 fulanis and some soldiers and guess what they were mobbed and the army guys fled leaving the Beroms to roasted and mutilate the 3 fulanis after which they buried them(to cover up).later on the army stormed the village to retaliate the attack on there unit accompanying the fulanis who were beaten and recovered the 3 charred bodies. They also recovered arms and also arrested a Berom pastor with stockpile of weapons. The burial of the fulanis in town immediately resulted in another round of attack from the Hausa community in Town.At this same time the local ruler said he was not informed that resulted in the attack by his people. The State government even accuse the army for assisting to the fulanis identify the Berom thieves and cattle in the village.
So this is the story, the fulani,Berom,Hausa,Xtian and Muslims in plateau don't care about Government Justice and have decided to use jungle justice.Only that the media reports a bias stance in favour of xtians and Berom.I can assure you if you go to riyom today you will get a valid report that Beroms first stole or killed some fulani nomards. Before the revenge hit. Also you will also learn that the beroms after such act mobilize there militias and try to defend from the revenge.Atimes the militia also drive away the JTF for lack of trust and when they get over powered and attack by the fulanis. They say JTF didn't help in need. undecided undecided undecided
Both sides are violent and all are victims. The only difference,is the bias mediate reporting.Hardly heard a Fulani herdsman being interviewed about the incidence and his position reported. The Eid attack on Muslims is a clear case of media bias.while little church attacks go public. The Eid attack by Beroms and co were down played where scores died.Over 40,including cars and bikes destroyed over 20.Except for youtube videos. Its totally ignored.Yet the xmas bombing got to the international media. undecided undecided undecided

Take Azazi’s comment on insecurity serious, ANPP tells Jonathan

Dr. Onu Dr. Onu

The National Chairman of the All Nigerian Peoples Party, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, on Monday told President Goodluck Jonathan that the comment made by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Gen. Andrew Owoye Azazi (rtd) may be the truth afterall.

Azazi last Friday said the Peoples Democratic Party should be held liable for the insecurity in the country.

Onu, who led a high-powered delegation of the ANPP on condolence visit to the management of the THISDAY newspapers, expressed sympathy with the organisation as well as the families of staff that lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

The ANPP boss, who described the attack on Newspaper houses by the Boko Haram sect as barbaric said: “The National Security Adviser (NSA) coordinates the country’s security efforts and when he talks he ought to be taken seriously by the president and all Nigerians.

“He is privy to information that may not be available to other officers of government.

“Whenever the National Security Adviser speaks on any matter relating to security we of the ANPP will take it very seriously and I believe that all other Nigerians do same.”

He urged security agencies to do a lot more on intelligent gathering to further help tackle the Boko Haram insurgency.

Received at the scene of the incident by ThisDay’s Editor of Nations Capital, Mr. Nduka Nwosu, Onu said the current state of affairs in the country called for sober reflection and a deep thought about “how to pull the country out of the ugly situation we have found ourselves.”

He described ThisDay newspaper as a very influential medium not just in Nigeria but in many parts of Africa and beyond.

His words: “We have come to encourage you to continue what you have been doing to promote unity, progress and peace of the country. We are proud of the good work ThisDay has been doing and we feel very worried that the insecurity in the country is now threatening peace of our nation.

“ We need to develop; we need peace for democracy to even take root. Without peace Nigeria cannot occupy her rightful place in the committee of nations, “the ANPP chairman added.

GEJ:I understand, but you make me feel and look bad across the nation!I want a new agreement, else you get the CPC treatment!
ACN:We have rights and the subsidy protest has proved that power is not yours only and money will not buy everything for you.
GEJ:Don't forget Osun state is an example of things to come.We can make SW ungovernable for you folks. We own the FGN and you own only the SW,which we willingly gave to avoid being a one party state. We expect you to play your role in the script else we get a new actor in the SW.Not necessary PDP but maybe revive AD for instance. That should keep you silent.
ACN:Well we need to think about it.But we most remain relevant by bashing you always so get use to it!
GEJ:Like i said don't make me look bad.I was mute about it before now.But with the visions coming to me about running for a second term,i need my image more than anything now.Don't worry about BH.They will be under control by June!I am on top of it.This things happen.
