Politics › Re: North Sponsoring Mend- Ex-militant by hakanai(m): 10:44am On Mar 18, 2011
Beaf:
^
The ex-militants actually mentioned specific names. Deal with that.
I also made a post detailing how Buhari and IBB met with some disgruntled ex-militants in secret. What could have been the purpose? Why would any peace loving Nigerian be locked in the same room as a gathering disgruntled ex-militants, holding "pat my back, I pat yours" discussions?

While GEJ was and is still dinning with them abi.possibly sucking there balls too!Another meeting with those goons.I remember even when the militant groups had a meeting with some presidential aspirants it was to insist that there own(ND) be made running mates or something relevant in the government in return for support during elections not planting bombs.Stop the rubbish and campaign of hate Mr beaf. undecided
If this fellows have amnesty and are free they are Nigerians and hold a stake in this country and can dialogue with anyone. You see it is like if you are against GEJ then you must have something to do with North/a possible bomber. Why the hating game?Mr beaf you think is with such treats, deceit, lies and hate you will get northern votes?I doubt my brother,i doubt!Better change the mentality or at least those of your militant brothers parading themselves like stars or freedom fighters after sharing there loots and killing /despoiling and destroying peoples lives. shocked
Even the city they(militants) hold such meeting, such that Abuja they always wish it never exist yet they go there for meetings now.remember during Obj how they hate to see Abuja and Lagos (our oil money is wasted here and all that). They should keep coming and talking crap on the northerners.someday they may just know there mistake. angry

Many things are known, but for the security of the wider country, wisdom has taken the front seat. The real aim of these people is to cause a war, and benefit financially from the ensuing chaos; because they aren't concerened with "tiny little distractions" things like justice, lives and democracy. All they care about is fleecing the nation, millions could die, they couldn't care less.

Since you know them catch them now.except if you always find out is your own and will be bad for you on the news.like the okahs

Address what the ex-militants said like someone who truly cares for Nigeria would, and stop regurgitating tired old arguments and deceptions that are now worn out and meaningless.

My friend you are more deceptive than any human i have come across with your ethnocentric views and lopsided comments.People like you are the cancer of division and intimidation
"Lastly read this from a previous post
By Kenneth Ehigiator & Jimoh Babatunde
LAGOS – The Federal Government, yesterday, expressed its willingness to dialogue with the Movement for Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, following the latest threats issued by the group to launch bomb attacks in Lagos, Abuja and the Niger Delta.

This came on a day the government sent to People University, Moscow, Russia, 75 youths of the region who had just completed their non-violence training at Obubra, Cross River State, under the amnesty programme.

With what you are saying i should assume the meeting should be between IBB,Atiku and FG?Not with the militants since we know its the North doing it.But the above post clearly spells out where and who!
Get over it Mr Beaf, your ploy has and will always be to attack or plant lies on people opposing your beloved GEJ.For your information and everyday you do such your beloved only looses more votes! undecided Change your strategy Mr man!!!!I know today you would be happy to see northern votes or IBB and Atiku support for GEJ.Not with this strategy.

@beaf
the usual thing you do best. Sow discord to make your man win based on sentiments considering his qualities have failed to show.SO if i may ask i should just que up and vote GEJ?Is that all it will take to leave Buhari alone.
Same nonsense you made with your unintelligent assumption about Oct 1 bomb blast.Filling everyones thought with a grand northern conspiracy.Today God has shamed you more. How the facts keep coming out every now and then to link GEJ with the incident. From phone number,FG representative name, vehicles impounded with explosives designated for Abuja from the ND and GEJ defending them.recruiting suspects eg Dopkesi, soliciting reconciliation between GEJ and key suspects as assumed by you.namely IBB ciroma and co.
Now that Buhari is contesting with the same person.Your lets smare him campaign has changed focus abi.The same buhari defended GEJ countless times from others even in the north, you dare to call him fanatic. When the Northern elite(within PDP) said Buhari lets come sit and work against GEJ,he was the first respected northern leader who openly said the laws of the land supercede any political arrangement and GEj should not be stopped from running under any guise.Regional or religious. Then i know you kept qouting him to gain GEJ some credence.Buhari rejected the NPLF meeting or any sectional arrangement. He believes in a nation. If only his Islamic views were driving him,he would have being on that band wagon since. undecided
Buhari's treat in the north today is the same group that rejected GEj at first got bride by GEJ and now hate Buhari for his firm stance on the rights of people like GEJ.Tell me am lying.Who make GEJ support base within the north? govs and cabal.trade by barter.
The same Buhari that also refuse any arrangement that would not recognize GEJ.How hard is it to see that this fellow is straight and committed to the rule of law and the rights of all.Note he is aware of GEj a xtian and southern yet in the face of his northern folks choose to side with him.
For the GEJ resentment by some northerners blame PDP.GEJ and co,Only they know best.  huh huh huh Supported GEJ stance on elections and his choice for chairman.
Buhari also took the time to send an apology to the GEJ camp for the action of some unruly supporters. What else do you want from him.He is humble and realizes GEJ right to campaign unmolested,To run for president and to be voted in a free and fair election. If it is the will of the people sad
When will you grow up and stop peddling lies.Remember lying is bad. angry
Politics › Re: Does The North See Buhari As The Messiah That Will Wrestle Power From Infidels? by hakanai(m): 4:25pm On Mar 17, 2011
Use your brain!
With Pastor as VP
house of assembly that is mixed

The Northern support for buhari has always being there.Ask the northerners.Even the Christians in the north appreciate him.Except for the few who are buying the politically manipulated stories of PDP since Obj to discredit him.
Secondly don't be fooled.Buhari has no consideration for anyone who messes with the laws of the land.He is known to be law abiding.Meaning if today the laws are set to keep the balances he would respect them.
The disrespect for GEJ came from the issue of the zoning within PDP.Some people in the North feel cheated and treated badly in the case of zoning and even comments also being made by some southern elements. That is it.
It is not that the north supports him because of religion but his consideration of the masses.Personally as a northern it his qualities as told to me by my father and Uncle about his past government that make me respect him.
My mum christian still from the north like him but will always tell you that em,my pastor said we should not vote buhari because he will bring sharia and just support goodluck. If i may ask,if we today decide to identify ourslves by religion and vote by that will it be easy for GEJ to become president or any other christian.
Some people will vote for GEJ even in the north.Let me tell you between GEJ and Atiku?i will take GEJ any day anytime, between him and IBB same thing.ciroma,obj.That aside do we not have political fathers and Governors endorsing GEJ in the north.More than 80 % Muslims.
But between him and Buhari.i will go for Buhari.so its about choice.as much as alot of southern Christians want to make northern Muslims the enemy ,we can not say where they get the inspiration for such.Buharis quality is my reason for supporting him.People are tired of PDP and the continued cabal period. It is above GEJ and what is left of the PDP.
Change is required and i don't care.GEj lost me completely when he started lobbying the godfathers of Nigeria woos. That is my turn off with him i tell you and the bombing of independence day that Okah claims a poly is underway to blame northern elements. Why us!!! just to demonize us.When you want peoples support you must show them respect.
How has Buhari treated Christians and there rights?tell me!Buhari has dealt with every tom dick and harry.its about the laws and has nothing to do wit religion or region. What of umaru dikko?

Politics › Re: Jonathan And The Rigging Of 2011 Presidential Elections! by hakanai(m): 1:50pm On Mar 17, 2011
I take it that your analysis is faulty and a Buhari win is pretty good.
Tell me how GEJ will get the votes he desire for a victory?
Assuming the migratory patterns are ignored considering,That both sides have some non regional residence amongst them.
GEJ takes:
SE and SS
Buhari takes:
NW and Large chunk of NE ( do the maths on that one).I am from the NE ,I know the likely places that may vote otherwise.assuming i ignore visual facts of support and comments from even the xtian groups supporting buhari there.Assume they vote along religious.Buhari can secure a 70% swing there.
Both tussel for
SW(for all )
NC(50 50 or slightly diff.)As muslims and xtians may vote based on sentiments.
Also remember in every twelve there is a judas!!!!

Do the figures and tell me how that can happen.Considering the voters registered!
don't let PDP fool you before embarking on there rigging plans. They want to rig and are already trying to break the ranks of people that will opposite it or questions any manipulated out come.
Atleast wikileak has also told us alittle about dimeji bankole's position on 2007 PDP victory!Na today them start?Do you think they will change? We impose that change and God willing it will happen!!! wink
Violence against innocent people no!But resisting the PDP riggers yes count me in any day any time!!!!Nigerians are PDP's biggest accomplice now so if you are caught cheating, JEGA/Police must respond else resistance from the people will follow.

Buhari can sweep roughly 30M votes or more from my assessment and GEJ 26M.If others don't rock the boat in NC,SW and SE!!!!
Areas of lobbying and stuff.Above all if God permits us.May the elections be free and fair.May progress come to Nigeria after the elections and may we change for the better.Who ever wins rightly,May God almighty bestow on him foresight and qualities to move the nation forward.

Enjoy!! We are not afraid and change is coming!!!!!

The case for General Buhari

• Ozodi Thomas Osuji who teaches and writes on leadership and management matters makes a case for the Buhari candidacy, this is part of our ongoin g assessment of the various contestants for the nation's presidency,

What does the President of Nigeria do? Ideally, he is the leader of Nigeria, the chief executive officer, CEO, of the country’s business. He makes sure that the country’s territorial integrity is maintained, that her economy is performing as well as it could and that all Nigerians safety and security is protected.

What is a leader? A leader is a person who has studied the people he proposes to lead and understands their aspirations, what they want to do and proposes to help them do those things.

A leader has vision for his people, he has dreams of what if done would benefit the people he leads. He has goals and objectives that he seeks office to accomplish.

A leader is the servant of the people; he serves their needs and not them his needs. A leader is not in office to gratify his ego’s sense of prestige but to do what helps the man on the street live the good life.

A leader understands resource management, capital and human resources and can help get the resources with which he accomplishes his goals. He knows how to utilize human resources and material resources (capital) in accomplishing his goals and objectives.

Human beings are egotistical, proud and vain creatures and whoever leads them must understand how to manage their emotional issues. A leader must therefore be a mature adult person who not only can engage in task accomplishment but can take other persons pettiness and gripes and not lose his cool. He must disregard other persons bad mouthing him and keep his eyes on the ball and go for it until the ball is dribbled to the goal post and a goal is scored.

A leader is the type of man men follow in their mutual ventures. Some men do not have that intangible quality that makes other men follow them to their goals. It is said that if Napoleon Bonaparte told his generals to jump into a frozen river and swim that they would gladly do so even if they lose their lives in the process; that is the essence of top notch leadership quality, the ability to elicit followership, and, yes, obedience.

Some people have what Max Weber called charisma and others do not. There is debate in leadership literature as to whether leadership is learned or inherited. I think that it is both. Clearly, some people have leadership qualities right from the get go of their lives than others, yet all persons can be taught aspects of good leadership attributes and become good leaders but probably not outstanding leaders.

I have observed General Buhari from a distance. In my judgment he has the attributes of an excellent leader. He demonstrates knowledge of what Nigerians want and wants to help them accomplish them. He places public service above his personal needs. During his first go around as the President of Nigeria (1983-1985) no one in his right mind would say that he stole a penny from Nigerians. Everyone agrees that he devoted himself to serving the needs of Nigerians.

He and Gen Tunde Ideagbon actually got Nigerian civil servants to come to work on time. During that round we saw how determined Buhari is, how principled he is, how incorruptible he is, how honest he is, how he is a man with the utmost integrity, and moral probity.

He was thereafter swept out of office by a military coup. Being chased out of office probably taught him another crucial aspect of leadership: how to manage defeat. Unless a man has been humiliated and managed to keep his head high we really do not know how he would respond to such circumstances. Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln were men who knew numerous defeats and humiliations and from them learned how to manage precarious situations where men’s vanity is at stake. Buhari was once defeated and managed it admirably. He did not show anger at those who humiliated him. He did not go about bearing grievances and seeking vengeance for the attack on his pride. He took it on the chin like a good soldier should and lived to fight another day. He is not petty at all.

Buhari, in words and action, shows that he understands the need to industrialize Nigeria; I mean all parts of Nigeria. If Nigeria had committed and decisive leaders she would today be at the level of Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and the other Asian tigers. Buhari understands the fact that all parts of Nigeria must be mobilized and channeled to doing what has to be done to drag Nigeria into the industrial age.

As a former soldier, especially an officer and gentleman, Buhari understands the nature of setting tasks and using men in accomplishing them. In officer training schools what do they teach men but leadership skills? Officers are taught to know the tasks set for them by their superiors and go achieve them with those they command. The enemy is on that hill and the company must take that hill, drive the enemy out, and capture them if necessary. Buhari understands this critical aspect of leadership (using men to achieve organizational objectives even if it means losing some of the men in the process).

Buhari does not show any trait of tribalism. I have observed his utterances and behavior and can honestly say that he transcends ethnicity. Sure, he wants to develop his neck of the woods, what is wrong with that; as long as he develops all parts of Nigeria he is doing fine. No one is asking him to be an angel and not acknowledge his ethnicity.

Buhari understands how fragile it is to base the Nigerian economy on one resource, oil. He understands that those who buy Nigeria’s oil are furiously undertaking research trying to find an alternative to oil. Information coming out of Caltech and MIT indicates that it is only a matter of time before Americans find a way to manufacture oil through a method similar to photosynthesis. He understands that when that happens America would love to stop exporting the $700 billion dollars it is currently expending annually on importing oil and redirect that money to its economic development. At that point those who depend solely on oil for their revenue would be left in the lurch, they would be left with nothing to run their economy and thus go broke.

This needs not happen and General Buhari has said that he would seek ways to diversify the Nigerian economy. His main opponent in the election, Goodluck Jonathan appears to not even understand basic macro and micro economics, he appears out to lunch when economic matters are raised; surely we cannot allow a man like Jonathan who does not seem to know much about the Nigerian economy to run it.

Jonathan, as I see him, appear dull and common place; he does not even seem to know what leadership is all about. He presents as a nice fellow, perhaps, a university lecturer but a man lacking strong convictions. He seems shy, fearful, and anxious and lacking in courage; he seems the type of timid chap that strong willed criminals, the type that Nigeria grows like mushroom, could easily exploit.

Jonathan does not seem a doer and only God knows that what Nigeria needs at this point are not idle talkers but doers. Nigeria needs leaders who would mobilize the nation’s economic and human resources, as in a war, and use them to win the war of developing the country and rooting out the corruption that is holding her down.

I do not see Jonathan championing well-articulated goals and objectives for Nigeria. He does not seem to believe in anything with his whole heart and is dedicated to actualizing it. He comes across as a nice man but not a man one should like to entrust the leadership of the nation with.

I believe that Jonathan is an accidental leader but not a committed leader who entered the political fray because he has strong convictions that he wants to realize. He seems easily manipulated by Nigeria’s lords of corruption; in fact, those lords of disaster would like to have him in office so that through him they continue the vast spoils and patronage system they have established.

Jonathan comes across as a figure head under which the lords of stealing raid the Nigerian treasury. He lacks personal power, authority and charisma to get people to do anything that serves social interests. He lacks that oomph that we see in notable leaders. The man has no vision of where he wants to take Nigeria to. See, he has been in office for nearly two years and has actually accomplished very little. He talked about making sure that the power sector works. Well, Nigerians still do not have electricity twenty four-seven. The man may talk all he wants few persons are probably willing to follow him.

Another reason why I want Buhari to win the presidential election is the fact that the PDP has been in office for twelve years. That is sufficient time for a political party to have accomplished something useful for its polity. As we all know the PDP is the party of lootocrats and the most they have done is offer their members the opportunity to loot Nigeria, to rob the country empty.

It is time to give another political party the opportunity to try and see if it could clean the mess that is the Nigerian house and set Nigeria on the right path.

If the PDP continues on the path it is I have no doubt that Nigerians will turn to the Tunisian, Egyptian and Libyan example: revolt and chase away the thieves that that have so far pretended to rule them; we probably do not need the chaos that such revolt would engender.

Finally, let me make it crystal clear that there is nothing ethnic about my endorsement of General Buhari. I am Igbo but could care less about the ethnic affiliation of whoever rules Nigeria; all that I ask is for a leader who is committed to developing Nigeria and bundling the kleptocrats that sprout everywhere in Nigeria into jail. I am seeking a disciplined, principled and devoted leader for Nigeria regardless of his ethnic background.

I can honestly say that of the men vying for the presidency of Nigeria at the moment Buhari seems the best of the lot. In an ideal world he would not be my first choice. If the world is an ideal place I would vote for a draconian, revolutionary type who is willing to fight and if needs be die trying to transform Nigeria, indeed, all of Africa, but we live in an imperfect world, not the utopian world where all our wishes are met. There is a difference between fantasy and political realism.

The reality on the Nigerian ground is that Buhari is our best bait to do what serves Nigeria’s best interests. The other candidates seem the same old, same old chop, chop Nigerian politicians out to enrich their pockets and could care less for the average Nigerian.

Buhari is bold and assertive and seems to know where he wants to take Nigeria whereas Jonathan is timid and does not seem to know what he seeks office for (other than his belly, of course). Let us give this decent man, General Buhari, the opportunity to show us what he got.

I guarantee peace in Jos if re-elected, says Jang

The governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has promised to end the violent crisis in the state if he is re-elected in the April general elections.

“The next four years must see total peace and a high level of development that has never been witnessed in the history of this state,” the governor told the crowd which received him after his return from Lafia, where he collected the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) flag to contest the governorship election.

He said Plateau State had seen enough bloodletting and must say `no’ to further bloodshed. “We must have peace on the Plateau because without peace there can be no development. They (opposition) did everything to disrupt the development of this state but they are shocked and surprised that despite the crisis, we are still able to embark on a lot of developmental projects” he said. Mr Jang also said that his administration has embarked on many programmes that will keep the youth engaged and check violence in the state. He appealed to the people to shun violence and conduct themselves peacefully to avoid plunging the state into further crisis before, during and after the elections. He also cautioned the youth against the consumption of a local brew, popularly known as “goskolo”, saying the product was destroying their future and had killed many in the past.

He also said his administration was developing an attractive agricultural programme that would engage the youth, stressing that the era of farming with crude methods was over. “We are modernising agriculture and farming will soon be the most attractive thing to do in Plateau; we want to make agriculture the bedrock of our economic development.

“You will not even do anything apart from just owning the farm; everything will be done for you until harvest when you would pay for whatever inputs that were applied at subsidized prices.’’ He also said that his administration was bringing in taxi cabs and tricycles in batches for distribution to the youth with a view to checking the excesses of commercial motorcyclists.

Speaking about his former deputy governor who recently decamped from the PDP to the Labour Party with her supporters, Mr Jang said they were ‘his opponents’, who created the crisis in the PDP and moved to a party that is largely unknown in Plateau. He said PDP is the “authentic and dominant” party in the Plateau.

He added that the contest in the April general elections will be between “PDP and others” and boasted that the PDP primaries in the state were adjudged “the most transparent and the most peaceful” and hoped that the general elections will be the same. He urged the electorate to beware of “desperate politicians who will keep their children overseas and use other people for political and electoral violence.”

He expressed confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan will win the presidential election and said the president’s campaign train will arrive Jos on Febraury 17. “The president asked me to thank the people of Plateau State for the bulk votes during the party’s presidential primaries and called for more of such support in the April polls,” he said.

Its funny how since Buhari became a "democrat," his CPC followers have been engaged in crazed riots, arson, murders and recently, throwing stones at Presidential convoys. CPC was built by Buhari, after his own image, which is that of a wild eyed Neanderthal low-life and foul tempered sharia zealot.
Its called politics in Africa and Asia and there is nothing new to it. PDP has done more of that than any other party in the history of Nigeria. So there is nothing new.For the record atleast Buhari did not insult any opponent like your darling brother aka Mr "RASCALs". grin
Anyway thank God ACN gave him the most appropriate answer required. After the blunder he is back in the nest and his spokes man is busy saying he did not refer to ACN Governors in the SW.As usual always quick to change meaning to things he states!i suggest he reads from written pages like his facebook post. Not off hand to avoid blunders.Records have proven he makes such blunders anytime he tries to freelance. undecided
CPC is a party and PDP is a party.

Bauchi ex-Acting Speaker’s home attacked

Austine Tsenzughul, Bauchi 04/02/2011 00:00:00

SUSPECTED thugs stormed the home of the Acting Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Mohammed Pali, on Wednesday.

It was learnt they beat up his Personal Assistant, Mallam Bala Mohammed, and damaged his vehicle.

Sources said Pali, representing Pali in Alkaleri Local Government Area, was not home.

Pali said, a former deputy Speaker and chairman of the House Committee on Services, said: ‘’I have just left my home when 20 hoodlums came and descended on my PA,who they met in front of the building with other relations.’

He said: ‘’They beat my PA up and damaged his car. The thugs broke into my home, destroyed and carted away some of my household property. They said they will deal with me because I have annoyed their bosses.’’

Pali, who lives on New GRA Bauchi, said he reported the incident to the police and asked for protection.

He was among the 21 lawmakers that signed the document impeaching ex-Speaker Ahmed Abubakar Faggo.

But police spokesman Mohammaed Barau denied knowledge of the attack and the lawmaker’s request for police protection.

The new Speaker, Haliru Dauda Jika, told reporters last week that he was being threatened by unknown persons.

The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in the state said yesterday that over 15 of its billboards in Bauchi were defaced.

A chieftain of ANPP Malam Yelwa Ibrahim Bello alleged that thugs loyal to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state are ‘’harassing the opposition party members who seek a change of government.’’

PDP spokesman Alameen Mohammed Sani dismissing the insinuation, said: ‘’The PDP has not authorised any destruction of any billboard belonging to any party or politician.’’

Gbawe:
Indeed. if a murder charge can be dropped against Teslim Folarin just to ensure he delivers for Jonathan in Abuja then any crime can be 'forgiven' as long as you 'assist' Mr. President. I have no respect for intelligent and well-read folks who back Jonathan. I can understand many unsophisticated and illiterate Nigerians voting for him because of visibility as incumbent and the ridiculous deification of authority figures but those of us who are well-read, exposed and able to think logically know that the evidence , and that alone , shows unambigously that Jonathan is bad news . He has done nothing of note so far as President other than using billions of Nigeria's money to make instant millionares and billionares of parasitic leeches and AGIPs everywhere. In a Country consisting sophisticated voters , who select their choice on merit and ability, Jonathan would struggle to poll 10 votes . He cannot , for example, be a serious contender , if Nigeria were the UK,  based on his performance so far. British people would simply shun him because his incompetence , dishonesty , callous profligacy,  insincerity and lack of integrity cannot possibly appeal to anyone.

Let us not fool ourselves . The likes of Anenih cannot ever back anyone who wants to lead for ordinary Nigerians . When GEJ has a 1000 Anenih's behind him why should any sane Nigerian expect anything progressive from his Government? All the most important offices that badly need to be filled with leaders of integrity , for Nigeria to stand a chance of making progress , are occupied with compromised reprobates . Wether it is EFCC boss , senate president, Chief justice of the federation, IG of police, AGF it is the same sad story of corrupt 'tools' promoted far above their station. Anyone who thinks we will see progress under GEJ can continue the wait to see pigs fly.
Nice and precise of the truth on ground.you said it all in time!!! shocked

STAMPEDE AS YOUTHS DISRUPT BUHARI’S RALLY IN YENAGOA

Stampede as youths disrupt Buhari’s rally in Yenagoa
•Sylva flays attack
From FEMI FOLARANMI, Yenagoa
Wednesday, December 08, 2010

General Mohammed Buhari.

There was pandemonium on Tuesday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital when the youth wing of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) foiled an attempt to disrupt the rally organized for the Presidential candidate of the party, General Mohammed Buhari.

Buhari, who arrived Yenagoa in company of the governorship aspirant in the state, Mr. Famous Daunimugha and national officers of the party was driven straight to the Amarata School field amidst shouts of “Sai Buhari” by the youths wearing tee-shirts with his photograph and that of Daunimugha embossed on them.

The Chairman of the party in Bayelsa State, Mr. Williams Woyinkuro  Berezi was in the middle of his speech when bottles were thrown into the arena, causing confusion, as people took to their heels.
Berezi, who was unsure if the bottles would get to the podium, stopped his speech but was urged to continue by majority of the youths who had formed a ring around the dignitaries.

Some women and youths who scampered for dear lives when the bottles were being thrown, sustained various degrees of injuries due to stampede.
However, mobile policemen and some of the youths went to the Melford Okilo Road to confront those who were throwing the bottles and were able to get one of them, who was beaten before he was rescued by the police.

Buhari, who later addressed the people, enjoined them to protect their democratic rights during the 2011 elections.
According to him, Bayelsans must ensure they register; vote during the elections and ensure that their votes count by protecting it.
He listed security of lives and property and tackling indiscipline and corruption headlong as part of the programme the CPC would pursue if elected into government.
On the incident of the bottles thrown into the arena, Buhari said it was the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to protect people during political rallies.
Noting that CPC was not afraid of any party, he said security agencies were duty bound to protect lives of people.

Daunimugha reacting to the incident said as Bayelsans, they would not allow themselves to be scared, as they would ensure that they vote on election day.
“As Bayelsans, we would not be scared. We must vote. We would not allow anybody to intimidate us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bayelsa State government has condemned in strong words, the use of bottles to disrupt the rally organized for Presidential candidate of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Bayelsa, General Mohammed Buhari.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Doifie Ola, in a terse press statement entitled “ Buhari In Yenagoa” said the government condemned the act, adding, however, that it was at a loss why the organizers of the rally did not deem it fit to inform the government about the rally.
He said as a former Head of State, protocol demands that the state government should know when Buhari came into Bayelsa irrespective of party affiliations.

“While we condemn this act with every force at our command, we are at a loss as to why neither Buhari nor his managers thought it fit to inform the state government of his campaign visit to Bayelsa. As a former Head of State, protocol demands that the State Government be in the know. “Governor Timipre Sylva was only informed about General Buhari’s visit only after the unfortunate incident at the rally ground. We consider this improper. Irrespective of differences in political party affiliations, the general and his party have to acknowledge the fact that there is a sitting governor in the state,”he said.

All those stupid tribalist shouting crap will happen to Buhari should go and sleep!!!! You started it and there is nothing special.Do me i do you God no go vex!!!! undecided
