dolphinife: Of cos, arik has a long-range aircraft that can fly direct to Brazil non-stop but there is no direct flight between Nigerian airspace to Brazil.
The route has to be from Nigeria to joburg, and frm there direct to Brazil. Or from Los to JKF and frm there direct to Brazil.
That you have an aircraft that can fly long-haul flights doesn't mean you can fly to any country without bilateral air agreement with that country. The agreement between Nigeria and Brazil to have a direct flight has been revoked as a result of the natural death of Nigeria Airways
Bros well done. Your post is insightful, are you like a staff of NAMA or FAAN. Ot perhaps you are a pilot or a flight crew? Just asking?

Nigerians and their constant infidelity in marriage. Later on, many Nigerians will still have the nerve to say that westerners don't respect their marriages. Now tell me, if you have any atom of respect for your marriage, will you be shamelessly committing adultery while spreading STD/STI all over the darn place? You people give marriage a bad name and yet have the audacity to pressure people into marriage unions when you know that you cannot even keep your marital vows. Judgment day sure will be interesting once our stay on earth is up.
You must have read a different version, else where is the STD/STI story coming from? The story neither confirmed nor refuted the use of CD in the act, infact it was quiet on that point so why read into a document what was never there? And as for your observation that Nigerians have a high infidelity ratio in marriage, please provide your verifiable data else shut ya trap

Is that why we are a criminally marked country?
Is cigarrette the reason we are No. 2 in world terrorism
Is cigarette the reason our lawmakers are collecting so much and doing absolutely nothing
Does that explain why we gave out our oil rich bakassi to Cameroun
Will that ban assure us of qualification to Brazil
Will the ban provide housing for all by year 2020

.......So many reasons not to bother about cigarette for now. I can understand the dangers of passive smoking, we can address that by legislating against outdoor smoking, but banning it entirely?....Error.

I will dare anyone to stop me from smoking in my room. Even now sef we dey bass am all the way through Ikoyi-third mainland-my house and nobody arrests nobody.

Those guys are not computer literate and will therefore not be able to read all these posts. Secondly and very importantly, i will advise members ofthe populace to do everything to avoid these boys, they have suffered tremendously and stretched to the limits, i can tell you this because i know, i had a stint and ran away. If they take vex handle you, panel beater cannot reconstruct your body again, so just avoid them as much as possible.

Erhmm, incase those boys have family here, their family members should tell them to try and improve themselves rather than remaining as recruits. They should also tell them to acquire skills for the future while horning their X-factor skills. This will see them being quickly chosen for Peace Keeping assignments.

In all, i congratulate them because it is not easy.

A child of 11 years is supposed to be protected at Law. Why did they expose the details of the child here concerned? Even if the matter will go on trial, the trial should, under the Infants and Young Peoples Act be held in camera for the sake of the child.

At Post, the proprietor should get the maximum punishment under the law if found guilty. However, what kind of child is that that will not tell her parents what her prop is doing to her and she has 'taken it' 4 times. I think the child is a mature minor, else taking an elderly man four consecutive times should be a major issue for her.

Finally, this is a lesson in communication. Parents should be able to find time to discuss with their children and wards and find ways of getting them to be open and disclose whatever transpired in school or elsewhere. It is sad this sort of thing is happening. You will be surprised where else this is going on and may never be exposed until nemesis catches up with the perpetrator. Parenting aint easy meehn.

Do elder statemen die in developed countries? Or they have elixirs that ensures that no matter how old people should not die because they are in developed countries.

We do agree that we still have some distance to go, but some of us have taken it upon ourself to castigate everything Nigerian. A man dies at 87 and we are still complaining as if he has not tried. For your information, based on the holy book, he has done about 17 years extra time (counting from three scores and ten)and honestly if you know the kind of life they used to live way back in time (i mean the musicians) then you will know that the man has done his part.

I imagine people do not die of old age in the western world. I hope so really, because my uncle joined his UK wife since more than 10 years ago, now he is getting frail by the day, i hope he too will enjoy this elixir that you guys give to elder statesmen so they do not die but rather live eternally.

As a matter of personal principle, I do not visit beyond Festac. However I was recently coerced into driving down to barracks that is Ojo military cantonments. Honestly I swore and abused my cousin that took me there. How can people go through that kind of life? It's simply hellish. Having said that, I thought the understanding was that Fashola or whoever in double he'll it is was building an 8 lane autobahn to Seme. So what happened to that brilliant idea? I was before now planning on a road trip through the west coast to Ghana and possibly CI. After that experience( and that was before the rains) I have shelved that idea indefinitely. For those living around there , I wish you all the best. Honestly even if I was a landlord there, I will consider letting the house in the interim and moving out. All in all, Nija for life sha. But let's get our acts together, I am sure we can do lots better.

olawalemanog: For God's sake what type of morons are our universities turning out? We turn out grsduates that cannot connect history. For God's sake who first killed the BH leader in cold blood? All you fools kept quiet and never bothered to do as little as discuss it simply because you think it is the problem of the North. The same thing happened in Plateau state when our womderful press covered only one side of the story and never cared abt what happened to the other side whose people were also being murdered in cold blood until the whole thing went haywire. You may like what is happening, you may like the temporary peace that will come out of this exercise; you may not care what happens to the Hausa-fulanis (afterall they are muslims) but i bet you, this injustice may signal an end to the rxistence of this country. Meanehile, there is supposed to be a plan for amnesty for which a committee has been constituted; what is bothering us is how this committee is going to function in the face of all these bombardments by the military. We should not forget that just recently, the military shut down a section of Platrau state looking for armed Fulani herdsmen: has there been any change? Let us learn from what transpired bw the Beroms and the Fulanis, who, after fighting for so long with each side suffering severe casualties, finally agreed to dialogue and give peace a chance. The area is relatively calm today. We must pursue amnesty for these guys, not only to who they are and why they have taken up arms agaist the state, but also to use it as an opportunity to apologise for our wrong. However, those who suffered losses as a result of this avoidable insurgency must be properly and adequately compensated. This is the only way we can learn from the ills of the past which will serve as catalyst for dealing with similar cases of injustice like the Odi and Zaki Biam massacres. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Now confess. Who is paying for this write up, Buhari, Tinubu or who?. I am aware you know, as well as i do know too, that you made sense only to yourself and you do not even believe in the sense you made to your self. Policewoman: Your cost benefit ratio holds little water because in Nigeria currently, our roads are not as good as they have it in developed countries, where Sedans can be used at will by the police. 80% of Nigerian roads are offroad and therefore the sedans will suffer more wear and tear than the SUVs, thus damaging in a shorter period of time. I myself own a landrover SUV and i know what i'm talking about its durability. Fashi the maintainance cost, the Nigerian Police force can have in house police corps engineers stationed in each district to repair these cars when they can't be done by ordinary mechanics.

It's all about planning.
And you guys say this woman is a policewoman? I have my doubts. Police in Nigeria cannot reason logically, i never met one that could string together a correct English sentence.
YAWN. I hate when the guilty try to advise the guilty. Peter obi mechionu biko cause you doing the exact same thing you are condemning. You that've committed worst crime to Igbo people is giving advise? Seriously? Yet some igbo people are here applauding him. Someone call pat utomi, soludo or chime and have either one of them redo this speech jor. Is this not the same man that've used thugs to harass people in Anambra? Is this not the same man that allow his officers to run wild killing innocent people left and right in the state he rules? Is this not the same man that have innocent Igbo blood on his hands? Is this not the same man that've allowed crime to become a common act in his state? Is this not the same man that's milking his people dry? Is this not the same man that allowed kidnapping to become an everyday act in his state? mscheww. He's talking about kidnapping but refusing to take alook in the mirror. The Kidnapping saga started with mend, stupidly some SS men saw opportunity and began it. Ignorantly the act dwindle to SE. It is his job to nib that act in the bud before it became a common act. Take a look at imo, even though I dislike okorocha, he did his job as a politician and reduced the kidnapping saga in his state. The same thing happened in ebonyi, enugu, even Abia sef. Don't blame anyone for your incompetent and terrible leadership. TA orji is one of the worst politician I've seen in my entire life and even he took a charge against crimes in his state. It is noone's fault you allowed criminals to flourish in your state. Don't put it on Igbo people cause there is no difference between individuals in the 4 remaining SE states and anioma people, put on your damn state individuals and your terrible leadership. Shikena! Secondly, granted massob shouldn't have attacked innocent people that didn't oblige to their rules but Obi needs to shut up once more and take credit for what he created instead of seeking Umuzurike to help him figure it out. It is not rocket science. He was among the individuals that are slowly turning that group violent. When they were busy marching up and down the street, going on their non-violent protesting, obi you went after them no be so? na lie? Anambra police kept killing them like they are not humans. WTF did you expect? Eventually the group would start turning violent. Why don't nigerian politicians ever learn from their other politicians past mistakes. I said it before in the articles of massob member killed, more specifically, in the thread about supposedly 50 bodies of their members dumped in some anambra river, that history would repeat itself and like I predicted it is repeating itself. It happened to Mend, it happened to BH and it is happening to Massob. Too bad they started on innocent people but just like mend and BH, they will eventually turn it on nigerian politicians/officers. Obi take credit for what you, along with others, created; stop hyperventilating and go find a way to nib it in the bud before it turns out like similar problems una credited in two other regions. my own take. I don't condone what Massob did but I also don't condone Obi shouting like he's a saint.

Lastly, someone please pass this message to obi and tell the man to shut up with the GEJ @ss licking. Have you no shame? All this "he's our brother, he's our brother", needs to stop. I have no problem with GEJ but is it because "he's our brother", (BTW: he's not "our" brother. He's ijaw with igbo relatives) is the reason you support GEJ or asking others to support him then like I said "you are an incompetent leader" that needs to stop talking. Infact, Quit.

I know I'm going to get attacked by Obi defenders and Anambra people on this but I don't care so bring it on.
I for one will not attack you because whatever it is you have written could have been paraphrased. If you expect me to read through that, then you have another think coming.

Abagworo: Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, yesterday in Owerri, the state capital rescued a middle aged woman from being lynched when, under the cover of sit-at-home order issued by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MOSSOB), attempted to steal in her neighbourhood.

The unidentified woman rescued by the governor at the Christ Church Road, Owerri took advantage of the MOSSOB directive to shop-lift but unknown to her the shop owner was inside with some of her goods outside.

The shop owner however, did not know what was happening until a neighbour drew her attention by asking her whether the person carrying cartons of drinks from her shop had paid for them.

According to an eye witness, it was then that the shop owner, who had been sitting inside the shop out of fear for MOSSOB, then came out and raised the alarm, which drew the attention of the neighbours and passersby, who rushed to lynch the woman before Okorocha’s entourage arrived.

It was gathered that after narrating the story, the governor appealed to the shop owner and the mob to forgive the thief and instantly paid the woman whose shop was lifted the sum of N100,000 and offered to start a business for the thief.
