Please re-read with understanding and dont just post because you must utilize the internet airtime you have paid for in a cafe. If there are issues that surround an area i have little knowledge or skills on and i cannot afford the luxury of inquisitiveness, i act mug and lose nothing. Guy, I hate to sound stupid, but you are right on this as it affected me. I am hardly one to get sucked in by all these stuff, but hey, i was just about knocking off yesterday night when i received the text message from my bro (he hardly ever sends text messages). Immediately i read it, and not being science (or geography) inclined in the least and not having the leisure of googling and reading up any shiit on cosmic rays, etc etc, i simply switched off all my phones and my I-pad. I reckoned i had nothing to lose playing safe anyways. I woke up this morning when those same phones rang severally on the wake - up alarm. Yes, I switched off. Maybe it was ignorance, but i lost nothing. QED.

So Seun, keep up your good work with your team. Long live Seun and long live Naraland members. Woe unto those people that hack these emails from nairaland.
I got d spam but knew it was spam because the spammer claimed to have gotten my mail addy from Nairaland, when indeed, my email on NL is a one off addy that doesn't link back to me in any serious sense.
This problem has nothing to do with the igbos. I'll advise igbos to grab a pop corn and watch how things turn out. The population we have now is precious to us and we can't afford to waste our population again , We would not fight FOR or AGAINST. If Hausa Federal Forces want to pathway or corridor in the east to the south south then so be it ! For now we are still part and parcel of ONE NIGERIA and standing on the way of Federal forces is a treasonable offence . I repeat THIS PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE IGBOS . We can't always play the football match everytime , sometimes we have to watch and i think this is one of those moments when we watch the match and eagerly anticipate the final score. Kudos to Adaka boro and Saro wiwa for keeping their people among ONE NIGERIA.
Weldone Bro, well said!!!!

we should go on sabatical for 8 years (2 consecutive olympic periods) and use taht time frame to rebuild and restock our talents. This will include football and all other sports. When we get back to the world arena, we will be able to take the world by storm, assuming in those 8 years we prioritized well and gave the best hands an opportunity to run the sports affairs and bring in teh best people with a zeal to do the nation proud and fix their names in teh anals of Nigerian history

Our judiciary should be wary of granting bail to a suspect. shocked
If the crime alleged is bailable, the Judge/Magistrate is under an obligation to grant bail once the bail conditions are met. Bail is not granted based on the whims of an individual judge, it is based on what the law prescribes. Let us leave the blame where it belongs - at the door steps of your fraudulent country men.

maclatunji: This is one of the reasons I started this thread. I want to know if married woman consciously prevent themselves from posting photos that for all intent and purposes may be deemed "sexy". The reason I ask is they would then get comments like, "looking good", "fine girl", "fine mama", "looking cute and sexy". It does make me wonder if a married woman should be doing such? Personally, I believe it opens doors that should be closed especially as a married woman.

If it is a single lady, you could probably say she is being exuberant, seeking attention, looking for a husband etc. But for a married woman, these things shouldn't apply or come into play at all.

I am sure most husbands wouldn't appreciate such.

Since you already have an opinion, nay, a firm view of your position, need i say more? Just askinghuh

rooftech: Gunmen kill ten security operatives in Damaturu

One mobile police officer and nine soldiers were, on Sunday, killed in an afternoon attack launched against a security patrol team in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The State Police Command spokesperson, Toyin Gbadegeshin confirmed the incident, saying "the gunmen laid ambush on a security patrolteam using explosive devices around Shagari low cost housing area."

He said the military personnel in the patrol vehicle, who sustained injuries, had been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

"There were also gunshots reported around the 'A' division police station. We are still working to collect the details of the incident," he said.

Members of the radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram, are believed to be responsible for the attack.

I have never been a fan of OBJ, but in his days, ODI massacre would have been child's play compared to the community where the assault was launched from, SMH

The time was ripe between 1966 to1970. We missed that chance. The right of self determination being sought by states will never come without a struggle. This struggle was commenced and killed, according to my history books between 1966 and 1970. It might be we will be able to go back same route and and hope to achieve what was lost in 1970. However, to realize the full potential of the struggle, there must be bloodshed, that is the only way.Recall GEJ once said the country will not disintegrate in his time, this means he will defend all attempts to go beyond flag and anthem. The next person that will succeed him will also se it as anathema to allow disintegration in his own era, see? Opportunity once lost can hardly be revived. I wish your country well

Exactly. Recently I had driven through the FRSC turn just before omole and a drunk mofuckker slowed me down and I asked why I took one way. When I started shouting at him, he said I should take it easy, and I drove off. You can then imagine the fear in that lady's mind. At most, she will be convicted for manslaughter with an option of fine. Many more LASTMEN will die. I had since promised myself that it is either their life or mine, but believe me, I'd rather crush 10 of those hoodlums than wait to be caught and all manners of allegation will be put on me. Recall that this will a case to be determined based on oral evidence and a good lawyer might still see a window opportunity to extricate her or at most pay the fine as may be prescribed by a court of competent jurisdiction.

Something will be done. When the woman is fairly well, with the lady identified, an identification parade will be procured in that barracks and they will fish out the culprits and we will take it from there. THere had been similar cases in Lagos and justice was meted out in some of them that we were able to identify. Nigeria is not completely gone to the dogs yet, some things could and are being salvaged to the extent possible. It is a pity about the woman.

once in a while i google myself but my details are only as they affect my office. You just won an award as the dumbest fwool ever conceived in planet earth. A further proof that you are indeed an error of creation. I do not waste useful time with maggots like you. Why would you impute wrong motives by suggesting that the hospital 'MAY HAVE'?, what circumstantial proof is there that such a thing could have happened? Your type will always find a surreptitious way of sneaking in an insult all because you managed to leave this country. And it is a big deal for you because your entire community must have sponsored your passport and visa and you probably still stowed away under the deck of some sailing boat.I take it you dont call people names but would rather abuse them as illiterates and cavemen, SMH. ireke: Bros Nothing do you. I hope you are pretty satisfied with your life as it is. I also hope you won't complain when people that sacrifice to improve themselves are reaping the rewards. I just wonder how people expect to gain knowledge when they won't read. if na romance and s.exual stories there will little or no complain about the length. Yab me if you think I deserve it o. but I read the lengthy article and numerous "useless" pieces of information that i have garnered from years of active reading has helped me in almost all aspects of my life.

@ OP, it's funny how people don't read. I remember I dropped a friend in my final year in the university not because he said that he had not read any other book apart from his school books, but he did not see any need for reading any motivational book because he believed he was good enough. Afterall the books were written by men like himself. I dropped him like hot stone because I knew I had a long way to go and I neede to learn from so many sources.
Keep reading. Whenever i read, i get a kick out of it because i make money reading, not adverts on facebook on how to self-train. I am particular about this material not on the reading habit. You have a brain (supposedly), use it dummy
