You guys are all off point. I have the answer but would not tell you guys. The bible said that in this end times, people will grope in search of knowledge. Keep groping and searching, at the fullness of time, I will manifest the explanation given unto me by God through the bible, LMAO |
Look at this Ape. The ABA women riot wasn't just a riot it was the FIRST african movement where women stood up against IMPERIALISTS and it changed the fate of women ALL OVER NIGERIA and West Africa. Had the women stayed docile and allowed the british taxation system then it would have spread to the south west and next thing you know its ALL OVER the country and then next destination = Ghana , Gambia etc. Those women were HEROINES and they did far more than most if not all our most revered Leaders of the past. Our leaders of the past did nothing for the country rather they did things for their OWN TRIBE and sowed the seed of tribalism and partisan politics in Nigeria . If we are going to honour any woman or group of women then it has to be the ABA WOMEN INVOLVED IN THE RIOT. The western world had Heroines like Joan of Arc , Mother Theresa etc . Just like this women the Aba women stood up and did the right thing BUT history has decided to suppress the story of the ABA WOMEN like it always does when a Non-European refuses to be a puppet and stands up against the PUPPET MASTERS(European countries). I am not trying to take anything away from Kuti , Ekpo or Gambo but these women didn't really do anything that LIBERATED / CHANGED the course of Nigeria . Kuti was the first Nigerian woman to drive a car (or so they claim) but did that challenge the IMPERIALISTS ? NO !! The Aba women weren't Harvard, Preston, Yale or Oxford graduates but they did what NO GRADUATE/ EDUCATIONAL SCHOLAR of that time could do. We should put away tribal sentiments and honour these women .
And if my history serves me correctly, I think the riot had a thing with universal adult suffrage and it was through them that women's right to vote was recognized and instituted in the country. |
crackhouse: Oh! what a sad exit. She died when Nigeria needed her most. RIPLMAO. When Nigeria needed her most? SMH |
i should wish them happy birthday on whose bandwidth? would they know i did?, did they wish me one? all of una dey craze |
Let us look at it from the legal prism. If you inflict a grevious bodily injury on anyone, and where the person dies within one year and one day, the law will still hold you culpable for the person's death. It may then be that instead of prosecuting you for murder, you may go in for manslaughter. In the extant case, the OP has just confirmed that the old woman died months after the act. If this were true, then the fact speaks for itself. An action in civil suit could still have been instituted and maintained against the military (although no one person could be identified for carrying out that dastardly act). Above position is the law. |
There is indeed a law against carrying fuel on surface tank. It is funny, but people are expected to either procure a permit to enable me them buy in large jherry cans for immovable gensets, while the smaller generators (plants) owners are expected to unscrew and bring their genset tanks to the filling station for fuelling. My point? It might be a bad law, but there is indeed a law in place. if a fuel attendant refuses to sell fuel to you in a surface tank, he will be within his rights, to circumvent this, people give them some money as part of the total cost of purchase. As for me, i dont pay because i buy first in the jherry can before i fill my tank, and you will be dumb to refuse to give me N2k fuel when i will be filling my tank with a much higher figure. If you want to know whether it is an offence or not, expose fuel in jherry cans when you are travelling accoss states and let the police catch you. You will know that there are several other laws you do not know about their existence. |
Today is the tomorrow that you guys talked about yesterday and i just pumped fuel from a station at Awolowo Road, so where is the strike? |
I do not love the geographical entity as presently constituted. I do not like the leadership, i hate some part of this country (the Northern part) with a passion and the hatred goes beyond the people, even the geography of those parts is crazy. I will probably start loving the country when confederation takes off. But Nigeria is still my home and to the extent i have no direct relationship with the Hausas, I love Nigeria. LMAO |
Sijo01: I don't know what went wrong; i don't enjoy my job anymore. Waking up every morning with the thought of going to the office gives me migraine, i am always reluctant in discharging my duties (though i do it but not as fast as before), not willing to help my colleagues anymore, cant even stand/tolerate their attitudes.Do you have responsibilties? if yes, stick it out and work towards making the workplace and your job as enticing as possible. 5 years ago, i felt the same way, and i resigned and walked first back home and later to the employment market. I had no responsibilties then, i will not do the same today.Do you have a very decent qualification (chains of degree and tested experience), do you have contacts in fairly high places?, if you have a wavering doubt in any of the above questions, sister, i will advise, nay , instruct that you stick it out there until you get an alternative job. my last word, there is no perfect employer and no ideal employment. someday sometime, the feeling will come back and it will be time to move again, either home or to the labour market or better still into another job, and the circle continues |
omodapson: Racism goes beyond skin colour. Has anyone asked why we call people of a particular tribe a race? thus Igbo race, Yoruba race, etc.Your definition fits more into ethnicity and not race. I am not looking at anthropoligical definitions as those are used strictly for purposes of studies. When analysing races, you look intently at colour. You speak more of the black race and not of the igbo or hausa race. People within the same ethnic group but practice a level of discrimination could be tribalistic and extreme cases, distinctions are drawn even within the same tribe by way of castes. |
DailyNews: Just liked your post...in fact I didn't even read your before posting cos I wouldn't have bordered posting mine since you gave the best answer....nice of you....and Yes Germans. You are dead on Point. |
Racism is synonymous with skin colour and therefore Nigerians cannot be racists against fellow Nigerians. Maybe Tribalistic, yes. On the question per se, I take Russians and Austrians as the most racist nations. The spirit of Nazi Hitler is still running wild among the austrians |
dramatic speak: http://news2.onlinenigeria.com/news/top-stories/190192-mountain-of-fire-ministry-fires-50-pastors-for-embezzling-church-funds.htmlThis is nothing oooo. Fraudsters all around. Maxymilliano: Nice contribution by our very own Jarus...Is that not why we are where we are today? I will opt for recolonization as against the rubbish that we are fumbling and wobbling and not getting anywhere - 42 years down the line |
berem: Shebi na naija police wan go train south sudan abi? Where is bitteyend? Defender of nigerian police! Oya let him come and yarn dust again.Sharrap dia. How many people do you have in the NPF and how many are being arrested? what is the percentage of the offenders vis a vis the conformists? i maintain that those guys are not being paid well enough to get them off the road. Their average pay is wack, the training is not there and the morale is very low. However, comparatively, Sudan has seen them as being better and having something to offer their force. Why must we never see anything good in our own. I tire for una oo. have you not seen or read about police corruption in other parts of the globe including the fact that they taser helpless elderly people on flimsy reason? We just find a way of exacerbating ours just because 'we are involved'. |
^^^ But for real, i believe that Nigerian Police is one of teh best. Whenever they are challenged, they come up with resolutions and results. It has so happened that as soon as you motivate the police, they will give you result. So in a sense, they are not totally bad, rather we need to motivate them. THose guys earn miserly income and you expect them to put their lives on the line?, I would not if i were to be in their shoes. If you want to know how good and professional our NP is, try out the guys that are a bit high up there , not the rank and file. |
ROSSIKE: So why did South Sudan not beg Sierra Leonean police to come and train them?South Sudan came to us through the Nigerian factor. You know now. Ok we bribed our way to get the 'teaching contract'. The other countries mentioned all quoted ooo, but we paid the highest. |
Are they dreaming? Nigerian police who couldn't protect life and property. Clueless corrupt and the higheist order in the whole solar system. Nonsense
You are daft |
berem: that's the disadvantage of having a slow poke as president! U sit and wait till boko haram kills hundreds of pple before u take action.isn't that pathetic? This is what he ought to have done right from the onset.my condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.its really a shame on this government.LOL better late than Never |
Oh ok. Some news to occupy my time. Mtchewwwwwwwwww |
Naija people never cease to amaze me...!! Wow! Fool pls read my comment again, I did not offer an explanation as to what caused the current problem...I sorry for u shaaaa! Unbelievably dumb n quick to respond shyyte talkers
You write before you think and comprehend after posting. Please reread your post. Dummies are not made of a sterner stuff |
Santino1: @ sun of God,Bros na wa oo. Please communicate. Write in english or your local dialect. The technical grammar too much |
Nigerians especially Lagosians have allowed their towns and villages to be used as a dumping ground for cars that have been deemed unsafe and unfit to ply the streets of Europe, right...well, yes because having two of those broken down cars in each compound appears to be a sign of riches in naija! Well, there is something y'all need to know... those cars where taken off the roads in Europe because they could not pass standard emissions tests - tests designed to remove highly polluting cars from the road. Such pollutions warms up our atmosphere and that in turn melts the ice in the Arctic and Antarctica and that in turn raises the Sea and Ocean levels and that in turn will eventually submerge coastal cities like Lagos! get it??
Another eediet on the loose. Please explain the tsunami that hit Japan massively. I reckon u reason through ur a.r.s.ehole |

Laila Ikeji: So, this is where he 'makes' it all happen with Lola who's pregnant with their second baby.Nothing could be more stewpid. For starters, this room is not totally different from most bedrooms ofthe functional middle class in 9ja, at least for mine, other than the colour combo and the fact the room is not really 'roomy' enough, its just nothing different. If this is what makes them happy and rocks teh OP's world, fair and square. But should it be on the FP ![]() |
i am just seeing this post, i hope i am not late. There is money to be made here and some scammers will be made to pay. Please confirm that this is still on |
freecocoa: Oh please shut that your nonsense gutter you call a mouth,I sound like a wicked woman?and you sound like what exactly?Dead RIGHT |
Dede1: The issue of call the police, report to the authority, hire tug or the man does not beat a woman is the school of thought that constituted one of the major reasons Africans found themselves in socio-politico-economic dire strait. Most of the times, few Africans tend to jump line into blindside of European view in order to achieve their skewed ends without logical or cultural examination of the fact.Dede, I agree with you up to the point that where a teenager under my roof subject to my food, water and shelter misbehaves, she should be reported. I am aware that there are one-off steps that need to be taken on the spur of the moment. If this kid were spewing rubbish, will you say, keep talking, i will tell your uncle when he gets back? A 'shut-up' slap will be ideal and i will not expect the husband, the BIL or their patriarch to make an issue out of this discipline. It does not qualify as child abuse, at least not in the Nigeria (African)context. The truth is, when you put yourself up to live under the same roof with another, you are exposed to reasonable discipline and correction. The flip side is that your guardian is also answerable to your parents if you become wayward or in the extreme, anything untowards happens to you (the child). In truth, i subscribe to the idea that families should steer clear of married couples, let them manage themselves the best they can. |
drnoel: Believe me in clear words its neva ok slapping a lady talk less of ur brother's wife. But like some said earliar on the deed had been done, its things that come later if not handled properly that can destroy things. Me for one, I don't think I can just watch and see a man slap my wife (God 4bid) without giving him one back. That said, it still may not be the best thing to do and am glad am not in the position to find out. My wife is even very angry with my elder brother 4 getting involved. Still facts remain the same, my cousin´s wife was slapped repeatedly by her husbands elder brother. Her husband was retsrained by relatives from retaliating. I just heard today that a family meeting has been scheduled to take place at (a neutral place) my elder ones house since he is older than the two parties. We are all to come with our wives. What kind of family do you have in your place? your brother slapping your wife? I cannot comprehend it really. For starters, It has never happened in my extended family, the closest i heard was when a cousin of mine insulted another of my cousin's wife, he was summarily sent back to his father. We are just too cultured for that type of nonesense. If it ever happened to me, i do not think my reaction will be to draw blood, but believe me, it will be to your tents O Israel. Family would come to an end and we will re-define family not in teh African context but within the 'nuclear family' context. What madness is that? so if an outsider slaps your cousin's wife, what would the husband's bother do? should you be protecting yourselves in the family both extended and nuclear. Please read Mario Puzzo's 'The Family'. As a rule in my extended family, we never disagree when there is a third party present. We can always reconvene and apportion blames in-house, but outside, we remain a formidable one-entity. What rubbish |
lumeneng22: Whats wrong or new with human being eating corn? Abi Gej eat kola at oba palace hn benin it didnt make front page.Abi? and they both have a thing in common.......celebrity fraudsters |
Life has taught me that i am never learning enough about life |
Since a new Shopping Mall accommodating Shoprite was launched in Alausa, Ikeja, the road that passes directly behind it is now a one-way street. Policemen have been feeding fat on people who had used that road for ages and are unaware of this new development. When the bill becomes law, heading in the wrong direction on the road will send you to jail for three years. To new motorists or those visiting Lagos, Somolu is filled with booby-traps that can send you to jail. One-way streets there are numerous. But the ones that quickly come to mind include Oyebajo Street. If you're coming from Morocco Road, going to Ikorodu Road, Oyebajo Street is to the right. With no visible signs, this street is a one-way ticket to jail. Again when coming from Ikorodu Road, heading to Igbobi College, there is another one-way traffic street by Fadeyi Bus Stop via Kalejaiye Street. It is the right turning before the National Orthopaedic hospital. LASTMA guys will usually not stay at the entry point to warn you, but in the middle to apprehend you. You will regain your freedom in three years! Then the popular bridge linking Dopemu to Egbeda is one-way traffic at a designated time of each day. From 5am to 1159am you can cross from Dopemu side to the Egbeda side and vice versa without any trouble. But by noon if you cross from Egbeda side to Dopemu, LASTMA and the police will be waiting for you with a Black Maria. Kiss your freedom goodbye. On the Yaba/Akoka axis, there are a few booby-traps, apart from the clear one-way traffic roads with concrete medians. The one that leaps to mind now is the major road from University Junction that leads directly to UNILAG Gate. This road is 95 percent two-way traffic. But there is a 5 percent one-way traffic, where you have to detour inside the community and burst out a little further down the road. There is an old, faded ‘No Entry’ sign, to warn motorists, but many first timers miss it. They are joking with three years jail term. The service lane at Osodi coming from Mile Two is presumably two-way traffic up to a little after NAFDAC. The road forks into two, the right links CAPPA/Mushin, while the left links Osodi Oke. Motorists who want to drop passengers at Osodi, but are too law-abiding to do it on the Expressway, usually enter the service lane, drop their passengers, drive past NAFDAC and at the fork, bear left to link Osodi Oke, onward to Oworonsoki or Maryland, as the case maybe. But any day some LASTMA officials are broke, they usually stay on top of Osodi Oke bridge and monitor those climbing the bridge at the fork. They then pounce on them, accusing them of one-way traffic violation. If you are unlucky to pass that route on one of such days, you will be writing a prison memoir soon, or you offer to pay for the school fees of the children of the ‘hardworking’ LASTMA guys who apprehend you. Which would it be? Then, from the past few months, motorists coming from Toll Gate by 7 Up, and attempting to link Oregun can no longer drive straight into Ikosi Road by Union Bank. Entry has been barred even though there is no single sign to that effect yet. In lieu of that, there are traffic cones placed there to guide motorists. In all fairness, there are sometimes some honest LASTMA guys at the intersection to guide confused motorists how they can access Ikosi via Unilever. But often times, on duty are the crooked ones who see an opportunity to make money. When a LAWMA truck or other government vehicles exempted from traffic laws blow these cones away, motorists coming afterwards inadvertently drive into Ikosi at the intersection and are slammed by LASTMA and gun-toting policemen. You are in serious trouble. Please note that these post had since been reproduced here and since my office also did teh same, i have opted to copy the one from my office stable. More roads may be added based on available information. |
