Good gesture by governor Obi, nice response by Police IG. The state of the state's security is long due for a state of emergency. |
Hope i've not just stepped into a zone that mad lines will stifle me. Enough lines outta naija metaphoric wordplayers. Una doo! |
@Fatdon, just thinking aloud, what are the downsides of these Nokia DualSim phones compared to their single sim counterpart? There must be things that Nokia may have been removed. |
What of Mode9's "Let It Go"? |
Abeg, who's got link to BlackMagic's "bring out koboko, wake up the bastard", Mode9's "Let It Go"? Nagode |
project8: I would prefer to mind my business bt a little dissapointed althouth depending on the type of tatoo she has.Your mum no be your business? This oyibo overliberalization of things no dey make sense o. |
See her with tattoo? I'll be like who? Na true? View her like baboo! That na taboo! Poo! |
All this ranting/grumbling here and there. NL needs people with the gut to sanitize it. All these tribal this and that should be tamed. I think he should be allowed the big stick provided he'll be willing to wave it equally in both directions. Let's watch and see how things play out. Shike na. |
Learnt the posters were by anti GEJ groups to sensitize Nigerians to kick against a 2nd term. |
Poor Bisi, we'll all miss you. Such misfortune this new year. Farewell. |
Info from Abia State, Aba Town has it that Gov T Orji is one of the most serious governors when it comes to filling the media with empty lies, propaganda, ghost projects, image making, recounting false and unveriable achievements. Infact, Gov T A Orji of Abia State is one of the most notable names seriously vying for the Award of the most nonperforming governor in Nigeria. A visit to Aba Town, the S/East Craftmen's/Commercial Hub now turned slum City of waste, Arena of refuse dump, will shock you into disbelief the unimaginable bleak realities which your eyes shall see. People swim thru flood and waste in rainy season, as most roads are bad . . . Orji doesnt joke with publicity. He bribes even pastors who visit church @ govt house to lie to the largely uninformed masses . . . Read more about Abia State governed by gov T Orji: http://sunnewsonline.com/new/cover/aba-a-failed-city/ |
Is Nigeria's problem that complex? Why not stamp your feet and deliver and then have the masses themselves force you to go for a 2nd term even if you refuse. That's the shortest cut to Aso Rock. |
Hey, sad to remind us of one of Abacha's achievements wrt NigerDelta. E don tey wey nyash dey back. Injustice has never been a new word in Nigerian dictionary as its one of the pillars of our 'nationhood' and foundation of our 'unity'. Poo happens, we keep finding ways to put up with them. . . |
Just too bored to put words together. Recall clamours for True/Fiscal Federalism, Confederalism, appraisal of Basis for 'one Nigeria', Sovereign National Conference, . . .so many other mindboggling issues. . . . Nigeria's got a long way to go. Havent we been sitting on a keg of gun powder all along? . . . Pity the region that had to be so small to own the oil . . .and the South: SW, SE, & SS that only knows how to quarrel, and never agree . . .even on Nairaland, and will forever be their lackey . . . |
Law of Karma is just there. You dont necessarily have to believe it for it to be true. Remember what goes around certainly comes around. |
Sincere 9gerian: "It was the reduction of the pump price of fuel from #65 to #60 in 2007 that triggered the increase in subsidy payments. Yar'adua used that reduction to gain some level of legitimacy, following wide condemnations dat trailed his election. The FIFA under 17 world cup in Nigeria in 2009 prevented Yar Adua from total removal of subsidy because he didnt want Nigerians to protest while we had foreigners in our midst. He travelled 2 saudi 2days before the policy could be effected & never came back"- Olusegun Adeniyi (Politics, Power and Death)Good attempt there. To all pro GEJ elements in the house, waiting for your response 'cos I personally find it difficult pinpoint any. |
Hey Mr Pres those speeches mean nothing to us. It's about time you got down to the real business of governance. The people are waiting, the world is watching and clock is ticking fast. |
nerdivist: Abegi positive criticism is what we needThe fervent prayer of the upright avails. Prayer itself will cause no harm. But the people must keep engaging them cause there's every reason for them lose focus. |
ujoatu: I concur on this ofcourse. I hate roche okorosha, imo govnr but wld never insult him.I criticise him daily on the net but can never call him RETARDEEN OR IMBE...I thought they said the man is performing? |
Mr President and co must first quit LipService and get down to RealService before making such empty request that does not really matter. Or do they not know they are the problem? |
What more can we do than to commend the police when they deliver. Pray they get on top of their game . . . |
BOAT |
Suleiman 16, hope you get point. Most of those groups like Boko shedding innocent blood everyday were taught and believe that it's a duty/service to Allah which he cnmmanded and for which he will reward/bless them, and they have culled some Quran quotations to support the violence. It's unsual to see people quote from the bible (for example) that they are instructed by God to go kill 'unbelievers' . . .or hear them start a war because Jesus instructed or Jesus was insulted . . . |
Leave the shadow s, face the substance - Islam in itself may not be the problem. The real issue is people who interpret from the Quoran that they have a duty to cause mayhem, violence, kill people, and perform 'Jihad' on those who wont join their faith by peaceful means, and go around to instill same twisted belief in their followers. Of course most Yoruba muslims you know for example, are different from those who quote from the holybook to kill! Those are the reason why most people regard Islam as a religion of violence . . . . |
Sort of thing public figures will be found doing and we believe they are normal humans like rest of us. A bold step others shouldnt hesitate following or will they keep pretending not to have heard? I hereby call on them and every other well meaning Nigerians to follow suit. Kudos to Gov Babatunde Raji Fashola for his courage on this! |

Hey poster, follow your instinct. Your guess is good enough. |
KnowAll: This time ladies and gentlemen give your votes to Buhari. The 74 Year old man would not steal your money, what does he want to do with power. Jo-Boy and his cronies has given governance their best shot, I must say thus " they are better than Yardua" whose(yardua's) regime allowed the country to be swaying rudderlessly all over the place, the treasury became the purvey of court-throats, undesirables, and fraudsaters like James Ibori who were playing to the gallery. Yes GEJ regime is better than Yar-dull, but Buhari would be a million times better than these chartalans, pretenders and bench-warmers in power.74 years old Buhari is Nigeria's best candidate for presidency? Without him no one else can, not even among the opposition Mega coalition? ![]() |
GEJ/Yaradua? GEJ may be not be my choice, but Musa is not better either. For those extoling Yaradua, what better move could he have made than to relinguish power knowing full well his health status which makes him most unfit rather than cling till death took him some three years after! |
Pictures. What if these were mere pictures and do not reflect or come close any to the actual realities on ground? |
Nice one. Unfortunately youths of today seem not find writing attractive |
