PoliticsRe: Anambra Governorship Debate Live On AIT by highmood(m): 11:00pm On Nov 01, 2013
Chamackh: Some people can lie, when was Obiano booed? I watched this debate all alone and never heard the audience booing any of the contestants.
Mr. They booed him when he was making his closing speech. When he asked them to look at his eyes, they all booed. Even when he asked them to look for a place when the symbol is a chicken, they also booed him. Immediately Ubah went to his stand and took away the papers there. So he was really booed. But all the same, come 16, the people of Anambra will decide. Wish it won't be rigged.

Bulldog: the more silver tongued they are, the more criminal they are: i still shiver when i remember mbadinuju(sweet tongue), ngige and uba are nothing but tested criminals that caused anambra state governor's tenure system to differ from the rest of the state in nigeria. And all those supporting ngige in nairaland are just bystanders. Those that'll vote are in the interior villages and didn't watch the debate... That's the funniest thing.
and u think Ngige's name is not ringing a bell,in their ears or they don't have children or relatives in the cities that, will inform them?
PoliticsRe: Anambra Governorship Debate Live On AIT by highmood(m): 10:17pm On Nov 01, 2013
Though I didn't watch the debate from the start. But from where I started, I saw the display of maturity and they are sort of comedians by nature especially Ngige. They all spoke well, but Ngige displayed great confidence, followed by Ubah and Ezewo the PPA guy. APGA. was the least. I would have wished the APGA guy never referred to OBI's achievements because there is nothing he has done. He was talking about continuity whereby he would rather be starting afresh because all dicks and Harry knows he didn't do anything. Ngige's name and achievements still speaks for him greatly and may give him an edge over others. They all tried and I am proud of them. But we need to move that state forward. We need a tough man for such a tough state. And I think Ngige is the best because he understood the politics of Anambra more than all of them due to his vast experience and records. The election will be well contested and votes well shared. I am seeing the beauty of democracy, the beauty of presidents GOODLUCK electoral reforms, the beauty of multi-party system and the beauty of education and civilization in action.

Ngige will still lose the Anambra Guber Elections!
how do you know? In an era like this when there is great reform in the political arena? A time when every one is wise and tired of false pretence and hypocrisy? Mind you only Anambra state is having an election that day and so all military might will be sent to that state to ensure free and fare election. All roads that goes in and out of Anambra state will be blocked-no going in or out. If u want to talk about rigging, pls bear in mind that the prominent parties in the scene are only APC and APGA so rigging will be difficult because the party that ought to have condoled it has a burning house. U talked about catholic, it was Peter obi who started the idea of using the church, he felt the churches are fools. now that Ngige have also used the same pattern and is been endear to them, ur likes have started quivering. Don't worry Obi and its party failed the state for 8 years, but we've have since forgiving them but we can't sit and watch that party that impoverished its people to continue while other states are developing rapidly. If u are from Anambra north, don't worry, ngige running mate is from that region and, could fulfill the task of obaino. BROTHER, LETS JUST GIVE CHANGE A CHANCE. Anambarians are all over the world and because of the decay in our state, they have refused to come back home. We need our people all over the country and the world as a whole to come back and invest. But this can only take place when an agent of change is in power.

emmanuel4fire: Acn was the birth of the oduduwas. During presidential campaign and election the Edo people never forgot to cast their vote for the pdp. The reason is because we from the south south now have full understanding of those tricks played by the born to rule tribes. We can neve dance to the tune of these tribes again, never. Even Adams Oshiomhole will not tell you this. We are wiser now.
For the Igbos, please I beg you, don't sell yourself. Remember, there is a soft tone tribe at the middle of this deception" the Oduduwas". One said he will wipe the Igbos from the map. The other deported your own people.
I am not trying to bring the past into this matter. But I believe a child should learn once when burnt by the fire.
I can't give my property to my son who is willing to sell me to my grave. It's better my son who is a thief inherit my property.
If the Igbos can't learn from the past and the recent happenings then they will never learn again. I repeat they will never learn again.
These born to rule tribes are pointing right at your people and you still can't understand.
When last did an Igbo man rule this country? See my friend, if this mistake happens again it will pain me dearly. Your closest ally for now are the south south and we are not ready to take that shit from born to rule tribes, they can bomb and kill to cause fear, we aren't taking that shit.
The Igbos should learn from their past mistake.
Nice piece my brother from the south south. I do ply Benin city whenever I travel to bayelsa, and I can authoritatively tell you or those that care to know that Benin city is taking a new beautiful look under the leadership of Gov. Adams. I believe Anambra state will take Ngige without considering APC, just to bring change. I also believe no matter who becomes the governor of the state even if he is an APC candidate, the easterners know who they will vote for come 2015.

I am loving the forthcoming election. People are getting wiser everyday and the people of Anambra are not left out. After the forthcoming election, I believe whosoever or party that wins will ensure to give dividends of democracy to the people because the victory will never be on a platter of gold anymore. I know anambarians are doing this: shocked the party is not necessary but the right person.

The problem of Nigeria is Nigerians themselves.

Imagine these Igbo youths protesting that a thief who has been shortchanging them should be reinstated. Choi! cry cry cry

I am ashamed to be Igbo at this point. Nigerians are content with their suffering so who am I to plead their case?

Me i waka commot from that sad place called Naija and glory be to God, my daughter's passport is not green like mine. grin grin grin
Mr. Don't make comments because you want ppl to like them. Could u remember that when ibori was caught in London some group of Nigerians were pressing and protesting for his release not minding the billions of dollars her carted away, even till today the billions is yet to be recovered, could u remember when bode George was out of prison, do you remember ppl were right at the prison gates with aso oke to welcome him and celebrate him, after which a thanks giving service was held for him, do you remember that some influential Hausa men stood for al Mustapha even till he was released even when they knew this man was guilty of great crimes. What about the lawyers that defends their clients even when they know their clients are guilty of those charges. What are you saying, pple should not stand for their person? No. Any tribe that says they are not guilty should cast the first stone. What about if she wasn't guilty? See, am not supporting criminality but in times of challenges we should be our brothers keeper. If eventually she is found guilty,I will then advice her to bow out but for now she should not give in to oppression.

I have told my wife, that she should give me a break until elections are over. I have been spending both time and resources to make sure that the Islamic APC is humiliated. No Islamic Party is allowed access to the Zik's Place (Anambra Govt House).
Ziks place ko Ziks place ni. How does Ziks place looks compared to Awolowos place in the west. I thank God Ngige made mentioned of the three places in Anambra that could make Anambra great. ONITSHA, AWKA, NNEWI, AGUATA in addition. But in this present admin, how does this places looks like? Nothing to write home about. Mr. Ngige is a son,of the soil and I believe no Ibo man in any party whether from the west or north will sell us to them even if they are blind and we deaf. And if I may ask, how does this APGA of a party bettered ur lots since its formation? Mind u, u have a wife and just like a title of one of Chukwuemeka Ikes novel "our children are coming". What would u tell them when other states have gone beyond growth and are heading towards development? Would u blame the politicians or would ur blame ursef for canvasing for a wrong party rather for the right person.

To think that Obiano with due respect to him will be the face of Anambra(should he win) rankles the mind....he was timd, tentative and tottered on so many issues

He didn't come across as persuasive and punchy....despite the shortness of time,he was always very quick to run away from answering questions convincingly....stammers and stutters ad infinitum

If Peter Obi had taken him into confidence and tutelage,he should have dazzled and even bamboozle us with Obi's achievements which will then serve as anchor for his 4Cs agenda but he was caught pants down on several occassion even at defending Obi's so called achievement

I wish all the candidates the best sha

I just finish watching the debate and I can,see the direction your write-up is going. Nevertheless, Ngige is a good politician, who also gave verifiable facts as to the projects he as delivered. Apart from knowledge of arithmetic and monetary economics which Willy obiano claimed to have, you can,see how timid he was.,he was really fidgeting at some of the questions been thrown at him e.g the question of civil servants and the minimum wage, question on local govt election which this incumbent Anambra state govt had failed to conduct, the question of project prioritization etc. Ngige was really endeared by the crowd and series of applaud followed his response to questions. The other aspirant next to Ngige- the barrister would have been a strong contestant if he had joined a stronger party like PDP.,I think he has something upstairs. For the professor, you can see why ASSU is on strike. Some of them have great investment so don't care if the sch is not on. Ngige has the better chances, for the reasons I have given in my previous write up. Am sorry for Obaino, he may be a nice person but this administration is messing up his political career because of its poor performance. Had it been the present administration in Anambra state have performed in at least three sectors (Infrastructures, Education and Health) Obaino would have been bold enough to compete but it was clear from the response of the moderators and the people there that Ngige should be given a try.

Secondly, ngige Godfathers "rigged" according to u the election not ngige, but he admitted his mistake and decided to make amend without minding it will, cost him his office. This is a man of courage and goodwill. Not all politicians can do that. As long as he repented, made amends and tried giving the dividends of democracy then, lets give him a try the second time. I think APC cannot come to Anambra to rob them, its impossible. NGIGE IS THE RIGHT PERSON.
PoliticsRe: A Glance At Anambra Governor Candidates by highmood(m): 6:51pm On Oct 26, 2013
For me whether technocrat or politician, all we need is someone who can give us dividends of democracy. When obi came he was just like obaino, yet what was his achievements? Nothing. We need someone who have the political will and the courage to deliver without fear or favor. ANAMBRA is a very tough state and needs a tough governor to tackle issues critically and squarely. Ngige has that courage and political will to,do that.,after which any dullard could come on board. He has done that before and i believe he could repeat the same. We don't need governors who will be kicked around like a ball. Anambarians are going to the polls to vote for the person not the party.

if it wasn't for what OBJ started on those NIPP projects, would GEJ have even thought of them sef talkless of completing them?

You can read where it said funding for the projects stopped from 2007 (When OBJ left) to 2009. Yaradua ressurected the projects and died.. GEJ is only doing the ceremonial part of the project. Thats all.

I have been to several states in d south, LAGOS,RIVERS,BAYELSA,EDO,DELTA,and I have seen AKWA IBOM and CROSS RIVER states on medias. But Anambra state government on the platform of APGA have not done anything compared to the aforementioned states. All what the governor is doing is just putting a good finishing on a decayed edifices that is set to be destroyed(proverb). He has simply not performed. Sentiment apart, Ngige should be giving the mantle of leadership. He is fearless and that is what Anambra State needs. Let anambarians vote the person not the party. Lets forget about Obi, is this his first year in office to recruit teachers?

Mr. If u talking about progress in our roads I think I will give thumbs up for, president G. If u have travelled much u will know that works are really going on on those mentioned roads and more. Have u plied d east west road? When last have u travelled on the Benin ore express road? The Lagos oshodi express road is very to close to me and i can see the work, going on there. We Nigerians we are not patient and want our rots to change in spate of 2 yrs without understanding the fact that for changes to take place in our economy is all a function of huge capital. Why were the previous admin not able to fix d roads so maybe this admin will start a fresh project and build on their success. See if we want to criticize we should do that constructively and offer solutions. Our president is trying his best, though he need to do more especially in terms of youths unemployment. He inherited all these and we need to give him time. I see many of these politicians are greedy and selfish. This is the reason if some of them gets into power, they become corrupt. I dnt trust most of these politicians that criticize him without offering any solution. We want to move this country forward right?, then we should join hands together. Its not a must to be at the aim,of affiars. That is selfishness.
ballabriggs: Instead being ashamed that you have a highway in such a horrible condition in this century where nations are building roads with 8 lanes on each side. You are here arguing over which road is which. Are you not ashamed of yourself. Is it he-goats that drive on that road?

Okupe should cover his head in shame to even mention Apapa Oshodi highway. Highway with no street signs, no road marks and ridges building up as you approach the Osodi bridge. In this century. It is the reason why we say this leader is a joke. A complete joke.

EducationRe: A Nairalander's View On Nigerian Varsities Infrastructures by highmood(m):
Well ur assumption is not all that bad and not all that good. But the fact still remains that our universities make a hell of money which they don't account for. In my school, an average of about 40000 come for post ume while some great number come for the pre degree entrance exam etc thereby making millions of naira. Though some universities try as much as possible to put infrastructures in place but many others divert the money collected from students for their own private biz. Honestly speaking I pity students schooling at the east because they pay much more for less quality compared to their counterpart in the west but this does not mean corruption cannot be found in universities in the western part of the country- there is corruption everywhere which came about as a result of greed and selfishness. Most sch govts made away with money believing they belong to one political party or the other and so can't be probed after the expiration of their tenure, yet they demand for more money from the government. Is this not the corruption they accuses the other? The fact is that politics should be kept far away from the corridor of our school system if they want it to improve. Neither the government nor the school authority should not play politics with our education. With this in place both parties could be vindicated from every accusation and the school unions would press for their demand and receive the sympathy and understanding of the public and other organization. But the case of ASUU and GOVERNMENT disagreement is a case of a kettle calling a pot black.
EducationRe: Message From ASUU President by highmood(m): 9:57am On Sep 23, 2013
Nice speech. But what do you have to tell the students who are also stakeholders in the system or are u guys just pursuing the course for a selfish or political reason? What do you guys have to say to the parents who paid the tuition fee for their children or wards to be in school, but unfortunately you 've decided to continue with the strike without putting into consideration the future of these young boys and girls and the pains they experience just sitting at home doing nothing? Will u guys be bold enough to tell the public that the federal universities where u were meant to teach its students is the only school u are rendering services to or are you teaching other private institutions to get paid? Will u guys be bold enough to tell the students and the public that the salaries you are collecting from the federal government without any services rendered to the school and the students is justifiable? Please you guys should tell the public because if the people and the students see a reason to be patient with ASUU on this strike, then ASUU members should be honest, loyal and committed to the struggle and course without hypocrisy. Thank you.
EducationRe: Group Sues ASUU Over Strike by highmood(m):
Am no more a student but I think ASUU strike is taken a political dimension. Because notwithstanding their demands for proper funding etc, it doesn't stop those schools from increasing the tuition fees. So my questions is what do they do with the money collected from the students as tuition and miscellaneous since our schools are presently in a state of decay? Even with the huge amount of money collected, there is nothing on ground to indicate that the money has been properly utilized(Corruption everywhere. Pots calling kettles black) Federal government on its part should honour the agreements reached and also ensure they checkmate the activities of the school managements strictly because when two elephants fights, its the ground that suffers it most. Like a nairalander asked, why is none of our schools among the best 100. To be frank, the last time I checked we were not among the best 300. And for us to be among the first 100 our education system must not be taken for granted by every stakeholders in the education sector. So sueing a particular group will not solve the problem but rather making each group understand that the students are suffering at home and even the little they've been taught are deserting them rapidly.

You are confusing yourself. How can you say angel Micheal is Jesus? From the bible passage you quoted, I can't even find any similarity or relationship between the quoted passage and the question you are asking or the point you intend making. So watch what u say. JESUS IS LORD.HE(JESUS) IS IN THE FATHER AND THE FATHER IS IN HIM. Jesus is the word of God, so in the new testament he(JESUS) was made flesh. Note the angels are different from the son and the father, they(angels) were made a little higher than man or in reverse man was made a little lower than angels. Now how can you compare a creature(angels) made a little higher than man to son who is in the father and who the father is in(More like a God but not)? READ UR BIBLE.
