Nwayi oma ! You started it , so I only reciprocated that you meted against me . Among others the first two sentences and some words in your first quote of my post was a deliberate abuse to my person in particular and opinion in general . No one person has monopoly of wisdom . Tolerance is a virtue . All the same , no hard feelings . I wish you all the best .
If you review my first reaction to your submission here, you will realize that I responded to "your message" and not "you".
Now, you have not only attacked my position, you went as far as my family etal.

I have always advised people, especially on non visual conversation/debates, that it's better to attack the message and not the person------because most times, you don't know who is behind the mask.
Now, why is that necessary? -------because you may be talking to the wrong person.

Forums such as nairaland is flooded with all kinds/class of persons including secret security agents, with different assignments. Some of the topics here, especially political, are deceptively constructed to elicit certain reactions and targeted at achieving specific objectives.

Most importantly, nobody is anonymous. Even with misleading profile name and picture, we are easily accessible and identifiable.

Please my dear, let's be more sensitive and meticulous on the non visual social media.

Remain Blessed.

Stupidity is when someone with lower IQ assumed that she has monopoly of wisdom . I dislike people who're too clever by half . Since you couldn't even comprehend my first sentence of the post you quoted , then I see no reason to join issues with you instead I will try a bit to rearrange your mindset now and maybe afterward. Before I proceed , I repeat nay in different words that I hold no brief for E-money . Meanwhile take the following from me :

- That you grew up with someone in the same street/town/city doesn't mean that you knows all about the person and what the person can do or cannot do

- That someone was once academically/financially/morally poor in the past doesn't mean that they same person cannot become a better version of these bad effects in the future ( I think this is reason why most of you always find it hard to believe that there's genuine grass to grace stories )

- Sane and wise people do not need validation of opinion of slowpokes like you to substantiate their claims/pronouncements

About contracts , I repeat it now to your daft self that you should never judge a book by its cover . Citing your exhibited parochial mindset so far , it's obvious that you don't even know the prerequisite of registering a business name least of knowing about company registration not to talk about owing one . Therefore , it will make no sense for me to tell you how possible it could have been and still be for someone from a grass background to hit it big without necessarily assuming oasis of wisdom as you want me to believe you are . I said it in my previous post that dullards like you with declarative knowledge without procedural substance are always proud and that explained reason why your type hardly come out from generational poverty .

In the other hand , all those snippets I dropped in my previous posts are not just motivational quotes instead they are what I know and practice - they are my concept . Unlike you , I have something to offer to the world and those who knows me in real life can say better . I may not be Dangote , but I am certain that in my worst state I am better than the pride of your lineage .
Oga, how can you be this insulting and boastful to the point of concluding that you are CERTAIN, all to a fellow you haven't seen?

I won't tell you who I am but please dear, be careful when you are on a non visual platform such as this. Because it has in it, the effect of extreme opposites.

Remain Blessed.

So long as I agree that E-money's account of his supposed grass to grace has k-leg ( for a record he's just a wannabe/showman "supper" rich guy ). However , about your postulation that one ought to have technical background or own an Engineering firm before seeking and securing contract is false . Ignorance is not excuse to the law .

I have come to realized that the reason many people are poor is because they lack proper information and specialized knowledge and have failed to learn . Declarative knowledge plus pride always result to poverty . Poor people generally tend to exhibit this negative mindset of " it's not easy to come across huge money "legally/suddenly " , whereas it's always possible and still happening even till this very moment . Take the following from me :

- When preparation meets opportunity success occurs
- Hard work is good but smart work pays better and faster
- Profit is for fortune while wages is for living
- Specialized knowledge/ procedural knowledge plus humility nay diplomacy added with smart work not forgetting hard work always bring sudden legal huge riches to people
I had concluded not to contribute to this topic because I have seen several intelligent submissions that aligned with my position.

More so, they are happily married, rich and blessed. Their journey to fame and affluence is nobody’s business.

But you made your indirect defense of E-money very ridiculous and jejune when you started reeling out those "stand alone" motivational quotes as if anybody is contesting the validity of those nuggets.

Corroborating your undeniable quote (when opportunity meets preparedness), what did he do or was doing that prepared him for the mysterious contract that was awarded in foreign currency ($2m) ?

Make no mistake about it, for you to attract a contract, you must have some capacity and requirements. The least of these requirements is INTELLIGENCE.

But with this interview, he has shown that he lacks both intelligence and coordination, and so, couldn't have been able to genuinely attract such contract legally by any twist.

What was he doing (preparedness ) that attracted the contract (opportunity) of $2m?
What is the name of his Client?
What nature of contract?

If he had proposed to Juliet with a "CAR", how then was it justifiable to believe that he was still poor afterwards, to the point that he borrowed to transport his family back to Lagos, after the traditional marriage? Or was the proposal/engagement done after their traditional marriage?

The truly rich man has no time to even attend to all his phone calls, talk more of the time to explore and utilize the features of those big phones.

All the people you mention has personal, professional and media managers because they don't have the time.

If you have ever been close to a rich man, you will understand why they don't bother themselves with big phones. In fact, most times it is their Personal Assistants (PA) that takes most of their calls.

If you have the contact of a minister, senator or governor, just trying calling them. You will be shocked that they hardly touch their phones as it is always with their PA. So, what is most important to them is receiving and making calls.

May God make you rich so that you can understand the commitment and pressure that won't even allow you to read sms or check emails.

Career › Re: Did I Make A Mistake Studying Law? by histemple: 6:00pm On Aug 18, 2015
The first natural feeling for most people going through this kind of experience, is extreme dissatisfaction and the tendency to blame yourself. But I will advice you stay firm, no matter how difficult that will be--- and yes, it's difficult.
Aside other considerations, I want to educate you on a notion that has misled many, including the "educated".

The fact that you studied law in school does not mean that you must practice law as your career. In fact, you have not started any career yet.

Except for a parochial mind, what you studied in school is not necessarily your career path. One of the best sports presenters in Nigeria and the current Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, studied Agricultural Economics. Sunday Oliseh is a Lawyer. There are so many examples.

In most of our bank branches, we have more Engineers than graduates of Accounting or BKF.

So, your job search shouldn't be limited to law firms. There are so many organisations where your law degree could get you a good paying job.

Let me also plead with you to be proud of both yourself and your degree as a lawyer, because it gives you so many advantages and personal jobs---that is if you continue renewing your licence and paying your practising fee.

I am a HR personnel in a leading bank in Nigeria, but just like you, I wish I studied law.

Lastly, don't be ashamed of depending further on your sponsors for a while, but just be focused and ambitious.
Family › Re: I Saw Her Through School; Now I'm No More Qualified To Marry Her by histemple:
In this kind of a case, we need to be careful in conclusion. This is because, nobody has heard from the lady as to why she left him.

But let make one thing clear to all, because we are most likely going to keep hearing this kind of stories again. This also happens between brothers, sisters and even uncles and nephews/nieces.

The moment you begin to boast about your assistance to someone, the value of your gesture is lost. Using words like "IF NOT FOR ME" could kill the whole thing.

Reading the OP's submission, I could feel the intensity of his boasting. In fact, he had to disclaim that "I am not boasting"
Most guys see assisting a lady financially as , investment in a future relationship (marriage) while most ladies see the romantic and emotional investment as remuneration for the assistance. Both perceptions are wrong if there was no discussion from the onset.

You can not say a guy or a lady dumped you to marry another, if there was no prior discussion for marriage. I can guess that you never asked the lady at anytime if she WILL marry you, so your expectation was based on assumption. It is possible, although not certain, that she could have told you NO if you proposed at anytime.

Lastly, only appreciation is required by the assisted party and I am sure that the lady must have said at least "Thank you" to you on those occasions. More so, the assistance you rendered and the relationship between both of you, are two different things.

More so, don't want to make any conclusion because that will amount to false conclusion since I have only heard from just one party but, I doubt seriously if she left because of your educational background. Because you are neither an illiterate nor do you have any impediment towards advancing your qualifications.

you almost got it but, you failed to add the interest for the interest the bank adds every month.

if the total amount of interest he will get for his savings at the end of the 20yrs according to your calculation is 57600, then the total amount of interest for his interest would be 12% of 57600, which is 6912.

Then you add the total amount of saving for the 20yrs which is 480,000 to the total amount of interest for the saving in 20 yrs which is 57600 and the total amount of interest for the interest in 20 yrs which is 6912
480,000+57600+6912=544512

544512 should be the amount if
For you to get the correct answer, you must recognize and show the monthly progression for the 240 months in 20 yrs.
This is because the principal + interest in the first month, added to the savings for the second month is automatically, the principal for the second month. This procedure continues until the last month of the 20th year.
Family › Re: Help:why Do Some Nigerians Oppose Their Son Marrying A Female Bank Marketer? by histemple:
It is easier to fault the generalization, especially as a non banker, that female bank marketers are infamously generous with their body.

As an insider with high regards to the few rare exceptions, I must tell you that it is even worst than you think.

But it's important for us to understand that the temptation is just too much that even the "saint" vilifying the marketers, can hardly resist when faced with the undesirable situation.

Now, imagine Madam Perfect, going to ask Dangote, Otedola, Atiku etc for account opening with her bank, and the big man start acting strange as the only condition for this transaction that can decide your job or promotion.

As a Nigerian female banker, it is a necessary evil to meet with prospective and existing customers in the hotels at odd hours, and some times, overnight. You must also travel to your regional Head office for monthly MPR, where presentations necessitates that you must sleep outside your home for at least a day.

Most times, our major criteria for recruiting a female banker into the marketing unit, is, she must be beautiful and presentable-----your guess is as good as mine on why it is so.
So, while a bank job is inappropriate for a mother in Nigeria because of the working hours, which makes it impossible for her to take good care of the home front, It is even more undesirable for the female marketer.

This is because she has the double evil of inadequate time for her husband and children, then the high deposit pressure (annual target) which exposes her to avoidable but irresistible temptations by those that can solve her problems.
Family › Re: Can't We Just Get Married Without Involving Families? by histemple: 10:08pm On Aug 06, 2015
I have observed the opposing views and reactions from different people, and I must commend everybody.

However, let me quickly make some points clear. I share the Op's frustrations, because the compulsory involvement, as it where, of some family members can truncate a promising union. This is because, most or a few of them, may not be entirely happy with the fact that, Mr A's daughter is getting married while mine is not.

I quite agree that we must not deny our parents the joy of actively participating in our happiest moment. Also, we need to understand that the consent, approval and blessing of our "immediate parents" is necessary.

Unfortunately, aside our immediate parents, the involvement of any other family member, should be predicated on the confidence that, they have good intentions for the couple. Such involvement and their contribution and suggestions, shouldn't be allowed to determine the eventual outcome.

The uncle described by the Op, may have chosen to frustrate the couple with retrospective sentiments, just to justify his evil intention of truncating the promising union, maybe, out of envy.

We must respect our parents and trust them to listen to us and understand what is good for us, especially as regards our future.

I advice that parents should establish a good relationship that will make us discuss with them freely. This will put us in the same reality page.

Hon. Amb. Egbo Victor Okemena ( JP ) lauds Sen.Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa on YAGEP & STEP Programme.

The Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youths and Community Development, Hon Egbo Victor Okemena, has described the recent moves by the God-sent governor of Delta state towards alleviating the suffering of Deltans, as Christ-like.

Speaking with newsmen in his office, the governor's aide said that, in less than three months after the Delta State Governor,Sen.Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's swearing in, the politician cum medical Doctor with a passionate flair for entrepreneurship, has started unleashing the first phase of his campaign promises which is aimed at ensuring "PROSPERITY FOR ALL DELTANS".

Seeing the level of a comatosed and financially degraded lifestyle of today's youths, our Governor who has long ago, felt the pains of the youths, has deemed it fit to start his Job and Wealth creation programme with the youths.

Rolling out three sets of Job and Wealth creation programme for youths between the ages of 18-35; and those who are already in Production and Processing Agro Allied activities;

YAGEP= Youths Agricultural Empowerment Programme, which majors on piggery, poultry, fishery and crop farming ;
STEP = Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme bequeaths to our youths, artisanship/craftsmanship which majors in computer hardware repairs, catering and confectionery, electrical installation and repairs, automobile repairs, plumbing, painting, interlocking etc respectively.

The PPSP = Production and Processing Support Programme covers, tactorisation, extension of loans support as well as growing the Agro-Industries.

Lauding the governor's initiative of the empowerment scheme with the primary objective to create Jobs and Wealth to improve the living standards of our youth, Hon. Egbo stated that this will in the long run, enable the youths to live a financially independent life and that, this initiative will not only create Jobs and Wealth but that he sees a deliberate shift from the reliance on oil proceeds to an Agrarian economy in the nearest future.
Speaking on the envisaged youths negative reactions which may culminates from an outrageous total number of 60,000 applicants for the two classes of programme. The SSA to the governor decried the alarming spate of unemployment. He therefore charged the youths privileged to have been shortlisted in the first batch in the 25 LGA to arise and take the programme seriously and put up a Christ like change of attitude as the Sen.Dr Ifeanyi Okowa led government is determined to deliver prosperity to everyone in Delta State who are committed to learning through her empowerment programmes.
He appealed to as many whose names have not appeared to be calm and patient with the State Government as the names rolls out in batches.
He advised the governor that in other subsequent compilations of names, more emphasis be laid on residents in the Rural areas as their primary occupation is farming will be encouraged as well as to discouraging massive mobility from the Rural to the Urban areas and deliberately encouraging movement from urban to rural areas.
Having seen the menaces the youths who migrate from the Rural to the Urban areas in search for green pastures constitutes due to joblessness in a quest to earn a living for tomorrow.
"Ideally speaking, only a cooperative team work from the beneficiaries and those who are yet to benefit would assist our amiable governor Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to achieve his dream of prosperity for a realistic tomorrow's wealthy Deltan",this was his final charge.

Christianity Etc › Re: The Early Church Vs The Modern Church by histemple:
I think the driving factor for the obvious deviation from true Christian practice is greed and unquenchable thirst for wealth and affluence.

I was privileged to interview one of Nigeria's most respected cleric, his response to my question on what precipitated the misplaced aggression in today's churches was vaguely misleading.

He cited certain scriptures to aver that God's intention for Christians is to prosper and live in abundance. He practically made it clear, although indirectly, that poverty is a sign of the absence of God in a man's life.

The conundrum and perhaps, the unanswered question is, what is the rich church doing about improving the life of the poor in their midst.

Good life is fabulous, no doubt. But the truth is there is little or no justification to regard some acclaimed clerics as true shepherds. They are very self centered and extremely callous, especially to the less affluent.

Your submission is more like a personal experience or an imaginative conclusion. If it's a personal experience, then you are unfortunately meeting the wrong ladies; if it's imaginary, then I advice you to halt the conclusion yet.

There are so many successful career women, that are genuinely looking for a husband. So, I think that, using three examples to generalize, or compel us to have a certain impressive about the entire career women, is a fallacy of false generalisation.

Given what I know, a large percentage of successful career women, are constantly stalked by so many pretentious, unambitious, unintelligent impostors (roadside mechanics posing as an engineering graduate) and lazy men.

Unfortunately for these men, this category of women, prefer a confident, intelligent, ambitious and real men with clear vision. Because at that stage, the desperation for an already made man, is not their major concern.

So, if you have been snubbed severally, I advice you to check yourself, and your intentions.
Politics › Re: Buhari's Presidency - Two Months Of Indisputable Success by histemple:
PassingShot:
Having been sworn in on May 29, 2015, President Buhari has completed two months at the helms of affairs of our nation. As short as this period seems, it's important to take a critical and unbiased look at what the PMB/VPYO presidency has been able to achieved or failed to achieve.

1. Increase in Our Foreign Reserves:
As at May 29, 2015, the value of our foreign reserves stood at $29.1bn (down from $43.16bn in Jan 2014 http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/01/30/nigeria-reserves-idUSL6N0V90ZL20150130). Due to blocking of leakages and loopholes which were the order of the day under GEJ, our foreign reserves has witnessed a steady growth and now boast of almost $32bn as at July 7th, 2015. This is an impressive addition of about $3bn in less than two months! We can only imagine what it could have been had GEJ blocked those loopholes in all the years he stayed in office.
Read it here please http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/emefiele-nigeria-s-external-reserves-now-31-89-billion/214192/

Hear Emefiele the CBN Governor on the foreign reserves: “I must use this opportunity to commend the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari for his dogged approach in seeing that all loopholes are blocked."

2. Bail-out Package to States:
Prior to his coming as president, many states of the federation were massively indebted to their workers such that many of them were owing between 8 and 10 months salaries to their workers. When the problem was becoming a national embarrassment, the president approved a bail-out package to all states to bring succor to the affected workers. Under the N713.7bn package, N413.7bn was a special intervention fund (from proceed paid by LNG) while the remaining N300bn was a soft loan from the CBN to be repaid from the state's subsequent allocation.

In addition, The Debt Management Office (DMO) is expected to assist states to restructure over N660billion commercial loans crippling their economy. With the development, President Buhari has stopped deduction of monthly allocations to states at source. Instead, the Federal Government will “use its influence to guarantee the elongation of the loans for the benefit of the states.”
Please read further here http://thenationonlineng.net/workers-salaries-buhari-bails-out-states-with-n713-7b/

3. Modest Success Against the BH Terrorists:
While it will be unpatriotic to claim a satisfactory success in this regard, it will amount to an act of insincerity to fail to acknowledge that the NA have now taken the fight to the terrorists in recent weeks. The fact that BH group now results to suicide bombing is a clear sign of desperation and frustration from a group facing impending defeat. When Boko Haram was very potent, they sacked many military barracks, controlled many local governments and were always ready to face the army in a battle. The situation has completely changed and the terrorists are now on the run.

Read some of the successful operations against the BH here https://www.nairaland.com/2490229/nigerian-army-conducts-successful-raid and here https://www.nairaland.com/2484987/nigerian-military-rescues-22-children.

Contrary to the wicked lies being peddled by the wailers, there was never a time PMB promised to end BH insurgency in two months. The first time the lie was reported was during the last electioneering campaign and APC almost immediately refuted the report. Again, when he was interviewed by Amanpour as a president elect and was asked a related question, he said "in few months" and not "two months". Read here http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/04/didnt-promise-end-insurgency-two-months-buhari/

Nairaland General › Re: Why Is It That Only Girls Are Ask To Keep Their Virginity? by histemple:
Our society is extremely religious and all the religious organisations, have certain prescriptions, and they are called moral standards. These standards serve as the societal moral compass.

If you must contest why we are admonished to keep our virginity until marriage, then you must contest the following;

A man must provide for " his " family. WHY is it the man's family?
A man is the "head" of the family. WHY not both?

A woman must change her surname upon marriage. WHY not the man also?

Oftentimes, what we see as male chauvinism or feminism, are our religious prescriptions. And we must accept them, as our guiding principles or revolt against the religion in its entirety.
