My 2008 Lexus ES350 won’t move.
It doesn’t matter if I put it in drive, neutral or reverse.
The engine revs up in each gear..���

Switching off the ignition and ON it back to move(D) for some minutes which it will jerk forward , vibrates too and then stop selecting and the engine revs.

A junior brother of mine bought a tokunbo ES 350 lately. It happens that the car has no check engine light before purchases.(maybe they erased it)

But on usage he found out car rev HIGH before changing gears. Thank goodness the check engine light came on and after scanning, he found out it is a sensor in the gear itself. (Transmission temperature sensor or so.)

After fixing the sensor, his car came back to normal. I will attach picture of the sensor.


In your own case, you need to start from the minimal, before spending anything PLEAEE SCAN.

That way you are one step ahead.

My mechanic recommended I remove my Lexus ES330 indomie (Catalytic Converter) following some abnormal car issues observed.
The 2 front indomie were removed today and someone already came and priced it 70k.

Can I get a better deal for it elsewhere?

Asking respectfully: I thought disconnection of vacuum hose should bring Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire along with the whole cylinder misfire

You sure say the mechanic never thief your Tokunbo coil for Nigerian used own…

That is the only explanation to all cylinder misfiring without any other code…

I bet he want to sell those coil back to you at the end of the day…

Pls i bought an RX 300 for my dad over a year ago now, now he’s having problem with the transmission.. When you put the car in reverse you have to press down the accelerator before it can even move same as the Drive… They said its the transmission.
My question is: Do i need to buy the entire transmission or half of it or can it be worked

Drain and refill the fluid first and see

I don’t use city drive MPG to judge my Lexus anymore.

Take it on the highway, reset the avg mpg before the start of the trip.. watch where it settles after the trip.

You might also have to check for sticking calipers

Since you use engine flush, all deposit has been wash down.

You never made mention of the car so far but I pray it is not 2AZ engine.

After all engine flush the sump needs to be open

I want to change my Car Engine, TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 06 HYBRID.
The car uses 3MZ engine.

When I contacted a seller in Lagos on phone, he told me the 3MZ half and Top engine costs more than the other 3MZ used by other Highlanders.

I tried to tell him it's same, he said that Hybrid uses a different 3MZ. He is confusing me here. Abi he is trying to rip me off?

Ambient temperature sensor at the front bumper is faulty. Ac system need the sensor signal to determine the outside temperature so as to know the level to set the coldness of ac inside the cabin.
