Why must there be a head in a marriage? I believe any man fighting or clamouring for that position is insecure because if he were a man who is confident in His masculinity, he wouldn't mind sharing responsibilities with someone he has decided to share his life with. Marriage is a partnership because it requires the knowledge of two people to make it a success. All this talk of submission belong in a master/servant relationship.
there's no institution on earth and beyond without a head.
That said, the best for of leadership is by example. You have to make sure u marry somebody who deeply has your best interests.

3. The point is things can/should be split 50/50. Why must it only be the woman to cook ? Men do not fend fully for the family in the west. Unless you're rich it's a 2 house income. The rest is taken out of context.

4. If one isn't religious or an atheist, this point of view is pointless to them. Because one was born into X religion doesn't mean they believe everything within the religion.

5. Ironically the demands some naija men put on naija women, they can't try that on the other nationalities "rushing" for them.
This is interesting!.
I understand as the husband it's your duty to help out your wife If you really love her. I would not want my wife overworked for any reason at all.
But insisting that there must be a roster for cooking, doing dishes and household chores is a no-no. Was that the way you and your hubby lived while here?! ...and I know you have to adapt, but that's why you should pray for and marry an understanding partner so they can step up without having to be chained.

To those men rushing out to support these strange views, while i am not sure if you are just trying to be politically correct, or trying to look good to some faceless people but there are gender roles-I hope you cook equal times as your wives do . Even in the so called "civilized countries "we are talking about. I would personally do all I can to help my wife out always, but we are never having any rosters.

It's my own opinion but I have this feeling you are embittered in some way, going by your responses so far, but I might be wrong.

Romance / Re: My Relationship Of 3 Years May End Because Of Wedding Date. by Homguy(m): 3:11am On Dec 21, 2018
Dogalmighty17:
I have dated this girl for three years. We fixed a date for the wedding for late this year. However, events seemingly out of my control necessitated that I shift the wedding to February next year. Initially, she was against the shift but I pleaded with her.

Sometime in August this year, we had a disagreement because I noticed she was being disrespectful towards me. She is hardworking, cooks well and is very business oriented. But her sense of independence makes her struggle with submission to her man. I told her how uncomfortable I was with it and she's promised to make amends. She has but from time to time, her old self comes out.

I was at a loss on what to do that I had to voice out the issue to her family. When they asked her, she told them that since I requested for a shift in wedding date, she became uncomfortable with the relationship. Her family then told her to call off the relationship. I got to know about this decision and I called her and she said she was going to obey the wishes of her family. Her mom also told me that since I keep complaining about her daughters lack of respect, I should leave her daughter alone. It took serious pleading from me before the family accepted the continuing of the relationship. They asked me that since the date I initially agreed for the wedding wasn't going to be convenient for me, when then do I think will be convenient? Since I didn't want to loose my woman, I mentioned February. The desperation on my path was much.

My mom on the other hand wants a wedding in April. She has said February is not convenient for her. All my pleas have fell on deaf ears. She has threatened not to bless the union and has even gone as far as threatening to curse me with her breasts if I wed in February.

My girl has refused to even entertain the thought of shifting the date again. She maintains that it is better that we outrightly call off the wedding, than shift it again. I understand her fears. She feels that I may just be wasting her time. I am not

This is my dilemma. Should I go with my woman who has spent three years of her life with me or do I go with my mom?

I must also mention that my mom was informed of the initial date of the wedding over a year ago. But she foot dragged in her support for months until much later in the year that I now had to take issue's into my own hands.
If you have issues of submission so early on, and her family has so much say in your relationship, then my brother it's better you break that relationship. If you don't marry her, you will get many more ladies with those characters you need in a woman. BTW submission is very key in marriage. Please leave that lady a lone. I know it would not be easy initially, but marriage is a life long contract. From a married man.

I think I didn't state things clear enough. Let me buttress my points further.
I only have Bsc and 3yrs Working experience... If I apply as single and must max out on IELTS, then I'll arrive at 441... which isn't strong enough.
If I apply as married and she joins her BSc. ECA and max out IELTS.. then we end up in 445!!

But as things are presently... she's in the best position to be the PA and the advantage will only be after the Msc. has been concluded and she only need 8777 in IELTS whether applying as single or Married because of the MSc. advantage.

Let's forget about the maiden name of passport part for now... Waiting for The MSc. is the best way out.

I'm keeping tabs on the draw though.. and even if CRS skyrockets... with her MSc... 3yrs working experience and 8777 IELTS... there's hope.
She'll either apply as single or I boost the score with my own ECA and IELTS (I would have to write IELTS) then.... which can still give us at least 465+ CRS score.

So I've done my assignments and checked out all scenarios using the CRS tool....

Thanks for the response sir.
once her Results are approved she can apply for transcripts to be sent to Canada, and also apply for Statement of result instead of waiting for certificate to make things faster.
My wife finished her masters there around Jan this year. So she should be watching out for result approval.

I want to request that you share the PEBC assessment process and timelines so that it can be included in page 1. I actually believe the PEBC and MCC process should feature as separate posts on page 1. @ drcynthia... can you also help with MCC.

So that newbies wont come asking for it again.

@smslive.. what do you think??

Cheers.

All right. Although I didn't use PEBC, I have put colleagues new to the PR process through. So I will do a comprehensive test of the process to best of my knowledge. If that's ok.

Okay wow! Congratulations on becoming a Daddy for the first time!!
Your deadline is still far, I'm afraid you will have to find a way to raise the necessary funds.
An alternative is; if your CRS is high enough to guarantee another ITA, you might consider declining this one.
However, it's a long time from now till 1st December. I'm sure the POF will show up.
For now, concentrate on getting baby's passport and having medicals done.

Congrats again
Thanks so much. That's the advise I have gotten severally. I will do accordingly. Not like I have a choice.
Thanks again

Tbh I don't know how you're going to tackle this. Why don't you want to add the child at once? Is your deadline imminent?
I feel that when you finally add the baby, the birth certificate will show that he/she was born before AOR and it might raise some questions.
However, if you're out of time, I think you can go ahead and submit without the baby, then raise CSE immediately. An argument could be made for you that you need time to process baby's passport.

Maybe you should tweet IRCC and hear from the horse's mouth
It's an emergency birth due to some complications as her due date was supposed to be in late November.
Deadline for Application submission is 1st week of december.
I will just complete POF for two people next week.
Raising the extra POF for three people before the December deadline is my main concern right now.
