BusinessRe: South West And North Central States Picked For Nuclear Power Stations by http(m): 1:55pm On Sep 21, 2011
As far as am concern, Nuclear power plant is not the best for Nigeria, No single develope country is interested in Nuclear power plant again, taking the desaster in Japen as an example. Nigeria govt should look unto other sources of power generation like others have said here, coal, gas, wind and solar are far safer than nuclear.

Mind you, the Nuclear manufacturer want to stay in business and i bet you, they are seriously running at loss now cos, they have no project on in any country now, hence the need to sell the idea to our dumb govt.

Think again, can we manage any crisis from Nuclear, even Japan could not do that now and they are having serious impact from it, some other countries are even planning to shut their own down.

I belief we should be looking at coal preferably; Nuclear no no no.

FamilyRe: Ladies Would You Encourage Your Husband To Take A Second Wife If: by http(m): 4:22am On Sep 15, 2011
Haba! what is wrong in taking a 2nd wife? This is a matter of life and death grin

If supply cannot keep up to demand, there will be scarcity of resources and price will shot up, if the wife (supplier) cannot keep up to the husband (demand), there is already scarcity (Intimate) in the market, so the man need another supplier to cope with the demand. Abeg let the man go ahead.

On a serious note, alot of wife now, once they get married, that all, " i don get you, nothing dey happen" is there word angry women need competition which we all know help the consumer and lower the cost of goods in this case; it lower the cost the man pays to be intimate alot lipsrsealed nough spit.

Those small states, una still want to devide it further just to take more revenue, okay now.
BinghiNya:
The southwest needs 11 more states to balance the equation.

The states and capitals are:

Ibadan state               Ibadan
Akoko state                 Ikare
Ilaje state                    Ugbo
Ijebu state                  Ijebu ode

owanbe state              abeokuta
Egbado state               lol
Egun state                   badagry

GEJ give the igbos their 2 states and give us our 11 states.  Please non Nigerians here should create www. moderated by igbos. Nairaland belongs to a yoruba man. The wisest Nigerian race is the yoruba race. I have been provoked into this tribal thing. I am a one-man Mopol. let the war begin.

GAR3TH:
Instead of asking for more states why cant the other geo-political zones lose a state?

Seriously, they want to add more states? why?

So that the new states can suck on the nippl.e of the federal gov, asking for allocations, and reducing other states budget.

So that this new states will be so small that it will have no source of internally Generated Revenue and will rely on the federal government for everything.

So that this new states will spend over 80% of its budget on salaries and less than 20% on development.

So that this new states will complain that it has no money for common minimum wage.

So that this new states will then say they are being marginalized by the federal government, that's why they are not develop, but in reality the state was a failure form the start.

So that this new states will then ask for more states to solve their problems because they are not develop, adding fuel to the fire.

Which one is it? seriously, are Nigerians really that st.upid and I.diotic that they cannot comprehend simple math?

the more states you create the more salaries you have to pay , which leads to less development.

Nigerians need to get over this ethnocentric mentality of my region/my tribe and start to think with COMMON SENSE.

What will 2 extra states do? will it put food on a table or build the broken down roads, No.

It will just give an extra reason for corrupt politicians to get paid, simple.

There is nothing these two new state can do that the 36 old states cann't.

The only difference is more political salaries.

Seriously, Does Nigeria really need any more pointless states?

Apart from lagos and rivers state, no other state can survive with out the federal government assistance.

They are all failure.

Nigerians needs to rethink state creation by actually decreasing the number of state and getting rid of the geo-political zones.

Basically lets redraw the state maps base of logic, economy viability and common sense, and not based on tribal or regional pride.

FamilyRe: Some Parents Dress Their Kids Irresponsibly by http(m): 1:43pm On Sep 07, 2011
Let just discourage NUDITY and Indecency in our society, that all. If you are a parent, it is your responsibility to dress decently and that of your kids. you can wear ashawo dress when you are with your husband and boy friend in private to the exclusion of your kids if any.

The problem is wearing private dress in the home in public. angry
FamilyRe: Some Parents Dress Their Kids Irresponsibly by http(m): 12:58pm On Sep 07, 2011
When you want to marry a lady, look at her mother, that will probably tell you what she will eventually become in your house, like someone posted already, you don't give what you don't have, alot of parent dress indecently, so what do you expect her to do with the kids.

Another annoying things with the boy kids the buying of TOY GUNS for boys and you don't want them to turn to Armed Robbers in future; what is the essence of toy guns for kids? okay the boy becomes sharp shooters abi?

Alot has to do with our currupt, irresponsible parent of today, i just wonder what next generation will be like. angry

CultureRe: Why Are People Buried Late After Death? by http(m): 2:48am On Sep 01, 2011
Well, people wait longer now to bury their dead which is alien to African as a whole.

Islamically, Muslims are to bury their dead ASAP, if someone dies in the morning, should be bury in the afternoon, that is the injuction of Allah. The only duty you own a dead person is to bury him/her ASAP and am sure everyone knows that about Islam.

IslamRe: Why Are Muslims Preventing Inter Religious Marriage? by http(m): 2:44pm On Aug 31, 2011
afam4eva:
You have a point there. I've noticed that inter-religious marriage exists among Yorubas because i've seen some Yoruba Moslems that have Christians as wives eg Fahola, Tinubu etc. I guess religion is not really a barrier for some Yoruba. But it could also imply that Yoruba are passive when it comes to Religion. Just a thought.
I bet to disagree that Yoruba are passive regard religion, i will say we are more OPEN, i am not a muslim cos my mum is, i am a muslim cos i pray and allow Allah's will for me and that is conviction not just parent telling you this is the religion that is right and good and that one is wrong and evil.

When people discovered themselves what matter to them and if that is the will of God for them, they will be convince and be convicted to it. I don't see anything in this world that can change me from Islam cos am convince about it.

My prayer is in Surat Fatia Ihidina siratal mustakim meaning Allah show us to the straight or right path.
IslamRe: Why Are Muslims Preventing Inter Religious Marriage? by http(m): 2:23pm On Aug 31, 2011
Well, inter-religious marriage do exist but it more common among Yoruba where i came from.

I will use myself as an example, my father was a christian till he dies and my mum a muslim still living. am the last in the family, my mum practise her religion so does my dad.

We were giving both Christian and Islamic knowledge from both parents and left to decide on what to do when we grow older, all of us have muslim names and some do have christian names, buth we are keen having a yoruba names than Xtian names.

Overtime i have learned to respect both religion and what they believe and their areas of divergent. i know the principle of Xtianity and that of Islam cos i have been on both side. As i grew older i pray to God to show me the way and he does, Am a muslim even in the mist of Xtian but respect their decision and i know they respect my conviction to Islam too.

My lineage have both religion cos my grad parents are from both religion too. My wife is a Christian and we are open about that.

Let just be tolerant and pls respect people religion, "if u don't want someone to abuse ur parent, don't abuse theirs" I have seen alot of Xtian abusing Islam, the Prophet (PBUH) many time and u hardly finds a misguarded muslim insulting Jesus cos is UnIslamic.
RomanceRe: 40 Year Old Single Woman: Getting Desperate by http(m): 1:32pm On Aug 31, 2011
@ OP, you have done well for urself, all i have to say is getting married is not a do or die affair, just make it as a matter of urgency, find a guy to impregnate you, when you have a child of ur own, you will be fine. Just make sure u get pregnant ontime cos ur chances of getting a single man to marry you @ 40 is slim. have baby and take care of ur child, you will be fine doing that.

One thing i know, when someone is desperate, things never works well in that situation and age or menopause is just right the conner. Wish you Miracle in ur quest.
