Gospel2Day:For starters, Ukraine was once a part of the big USSR, and a large portion of a district in Ukraine is occupied by Russians, while those North American countries you mentioned never were a part of the US. However, that's not enough reason to justify the invasion. While I agree with you on the fact that "what is wrong is wrong", but we need to revisit the initial, and exact cause of this invasion. What is happening in Ukraine is an indirect war between the West and the Russian corner, they are just using Ukraine as a battlefield, and Russia directly involved while the US and her allies provide logistics. Putin's main reason for invading Ukraine was because of the latter's strong intent to join NATO, a move that would have birthed the placement of a NATO military base in Ukraine, a direct neighbour to Russia. With the likes of Estonia, Lithuania and Poland already fallen to NATO, Russia couldn't afford being surrounded by its arch-enemies. Take a peep into the 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis, after which I hope you would understand what led to the invasion, and why pacification is the way to go at this point. It took the maturity and apt leadership skill of then USSR and US leaders to avert what could have led to WW III. |

Gospel2Day:As if the US is any better, the Americans are the most devious people on earth, left to me, they indirectly or directly bore almost all the misfortunes bedevilling the world today. For example, the Americans trained, armed, and used Osama until he became useless to them, once he turned, he became a terrorist with a bounty on his head. How many sovereign States has the US attacked? How many buoyant countries have they turned to carcasses? I am no fan of Putin, he is some crazy man who is not ready to back down, least he loses face. Millions of Ukrainians have been forced out their homeland, and infrastructure hugely destroyed, this destruction will take decades to recover from. There are times you use stick, there are times you use carrot, but now is the time you use both. NATO countries are now directly arming Ukraine, God safe us all if Putin wakes up on the wrong side of the bed someday, all frustrated and ready to risk it all. Ordinary the Ukrainian War is having huge effect on the world's economy, imagine what a burning Europe would do to countries like Nigeria who imports everything |
What an entertaining game for the neutrals |
These people are just looking for means to escalate this war...something a sincere dialogue would de-escalate. I don't know what the US have over all these European leaders that makes them always dance to the tune of the US. I mean, if this thing actually escalates, Europe will be the main battleground, in fact, one missile might not hit the American soil. Wisdom is profitable to direct. |
When you think you are richer or more exposed than your coach...players of nowadays are so full of themselves. Money don spoil everybody. |
Bluntemperor:Well, I think the problem is multifaceted... 1. Most European countries were still finding means to wriggle their ways out of the aftereffect of CV 19, when the Ukrainian War broke out; further compounding an already precarious situation across board. After all, one wouldn't blame neighbours for helping accommodate their fellows who were and are still fleeing from the war. They had to provide them with shelter, and pay them stipends until they learn their new hosts' language and get jobs. So imagine how strained they are already, so it is only normal they come up with strategies to minimise immigrants who aren't in urgent need of it. The good thing is that they accommodated people of other colours too. At least I know 5 Nigerian students (2 of which had expired Ukrainian Residence Permits) who are well settled in Netherlands and Germany respectively, with 1 to 2 years work permits, and earn 1500 euros and above after tax. To those folks, the war was a blessing in disguise, because there were scarcely legit jobs for them in Ukraine. 2. Third world migrants rarely migrate solo, each come with at least 3 or more dependents, further straining the already stretched social facilities. 3. And again, you might not be far from the truth with the fact that our government have a hand in it. Because the brain drain is crippling every sector of the country, so it is only normal for the government to try and indirectly stand as obstacle. But in all honesty, we only have our past and current leaders to blame, because if Nigeria were to be working in tandem with what God has blessed her with, someone like me would still be in Nigeria. |
I think this issue of Study Visa restriction is not only restricted to the UK alone, most European countries and towing the same line. This is one of the disadvantages of the Ukrainian War to people who know nothing about it. The massive migration of Ukrainians and its residents of various nationalities is putting a big strain on most European economies, as these countries have being forced to integrate them into their system. |
If that's him, then it is most likely cancer or some brain related ailment. |
Him posture just be like person wey hin last words were " what a wicked world"...indeed, we live in a wicked world. In anything we do, let's remember we only have one life...take good care of it to the best of your ability and leave the rest to God. May God rest his soul |
CoronaVirusRelo:It doesn't change the fact that he's agba werey...his utterances depict such...although I agree with him on most of his utterances...but the man is very unstable, and I would say the same thing about any white man in his position. I mean, who asks an immediate past US President to be his running mate? If he is not catching cruise, then he is mentally fatigue or even outrightly crazy. |
This guy nah werey of the highest order...he needs some serious help ![]() |
Italia 1990 Although I was a little boy back then, my major attraction/recollection was Roger Milla's dance by the corner flags whenever he scored. But I enjoyed USA 94 to the fullest, with a football loving father, I watched every watchable match. |
Goldensword:If that's the case, it might be that of the police. |
So unfair to such a good player, on and off the pitch. This life ehn, and Maguire dey stay fit |
GboyegaD:No need to even compare, white folks don't have time for all these jamboree over what they are voted to do. Projects continue and are delivered as planned even when there is a change of government. Well, It is a Nigerian thing, small things dey freak us. But then, you can't blame us, if people have been so deprived of basic amenities by those they voted into power, with little or no repercussion, then you should forgive those who sing their praise when they do little things. Na pesin wey never visit another pesin papa farm go talk sey nah him papa own big pass. The thing is that, if he had ignored the road, there is nothing anyone can do about it, if him go win, him go win. The whole system is messed up. |
GboyegaD:I don't know the stretch covered on the road, but I know it is an important road....although it might not be worth rolling out drums for, my argument is that if you do not display all your achievements out there, nobody will believe you are doing anything. While I was in Nigeria, Amosun constructed a portion of the road at the twilight of his administration, I think he stopped at GTV; complimenting the then newly built studio. So if Dapo can go farther than that, it is worth mentioning, but not with the jamboree IMO. |
GboyegaD:Well, you wouldn't blame the political class, in this social media age, if you don't put your achievements out there, no-one would know or even believe you did it, and your opponents will use it against you. All the fanfare doesn't make sense to me too, but we are who we are, and it is what it is. |
Adults behaving like kids...money and fame miss road |
bid4rich:I go with No 3 Operatives does that when they feel an action is about to bring shame or big time reproach, especially those following in a family's footsteps in an agency like the DSS. And who knows, it might be spiritual, African magic is real |
Apt, very apt. It is high time Afrcan leaders stood up United against these Western countries' master/slave mentality; always dishing out what they can't take. |
Life2020:Hey there, you are beautifully and wonderfully made, and very successful too. If things actually played out the way you described them, you have every right to do what you have in mind. I hate it when men try to suppress their women. If without a degree you are achieving all of these, only God knows the great heights you will attain when you have one. He clearly knows this, hence, his shenanigans in trying to kill your shine. I know it is difficult to be a single parent, but you don't want that kinda man around you, I just pray he restricts his madness to what he's doing now, and it doesn't grow to wanting to do you harm. Just make sure those can protect are with you when you want to send him off, I have seen such evictions end up bloody. A piece I would give my sister and friend, all the best |
Hmm, deep very deep. Some people's stars no just align any where at all. Just like me, while I was with the mother of my only child, things didn't gel for me at all until she left on her own accord. Although we are apart, we still kept not too close and not distant relationship, mainly because of the child between us. Now, I am no longer in Nigeria, she remarried but the relationship dey one kind, we reestablished very close platonic relationship. She has always been this kind hearted lady, whom I hold nothing against for leaving. Hence, she still have access to our child on holidays. So i sent her some money a couple of times, but each time I did, I ran into all sorts of problems; financial and work related. I was even thinking of boosting her business with half a million, but I am afraid of the repercussion for me. Now, it doesn't mean any of these women are doing this on purpose, they just might have something on them that spells doom for their helpers or simply the fact that the stars just doesn't align for both parties. That's why I don't blame parents who go spiritual before their children gets married. The worst mistake (most time irreparable) a man or woman can make in life is to end up with a wrong partner...it could set you back 10, 15 or more years...or just destroy the destiny forever. So my brother, since itnhas been confirmed that she's somehow (knowingly or otherwise) behind your backwardness in life, and she has refused to go for a solution, just file for divorce. If you really love her, speak with her parents or someone she respects about it. If she still stands her ground, run for your life, my brother run!!!! |
I only watched the final 10mins of the Bayelsa Queens match, those ladies did their best, it just wasn't their day. Their opponent's goalkeeper should be praised for her resilience and smart saves. On the other hand, Plateau Utd had lots of chances to put the tie to bed, but they kept wasting them, hence, this is how far they deserve to go |
Even with these kinda barricades, some hyper active and restless kids will still find their way in. Or even adults forgetting to lock it up once in a while. |
Eriokanmi:I agree with you to a large extent, but shey you know you will still need to fund a block account with your prospective school...a whooping 10,000euro. The good thing is that, they release the money back to you bit by bit every month until you graduate. |
MissLAP:Go around German cities Friday and Saturday nights, you go see serious flexing, clubbing and partying their stress away. They work their bones off during the week, flex throughout the weekend. |
Truth of the matter be sey, for Western world, nah children dey on top the chain of people wey government dey prioritise, after nah woman, and man at the foot of the table. As such, most African women take advantage of this to maltreat their husbands. Now, that's not to say your woman is heading in that direction, because when you get to this side of the world, you need all the help you can get. (But with sense) Having said that, I think by now, you should know your wife's traits while in Nigeria, did she show signs of promiscuity, was she a not too contented lady...etc If she possessed any of these traits before, then you should be very afraid. I had a similar experience during my first year as a student. My closest friend/confidant was a married woman whose husband was in Nigeria with 2 kids, she was here to wet the ground for them to come over. I was a single dad of one. We got very close and helped each other with so many things like shopping and settling. In fact, she made most of my meals, I bought food stuffs sometimes, while she just opens her fridge and feeds me most times. But never for once did our relationship go pass platonic. It took 3 months before I talked to her husband over the phone after turning down the request to do so countless of times. But prior to that, the wife kept telling the husband about me, and he kept sending his "thank yous" for being there for her. So my point is this, it all have to do with trust and antecedents. The fact that this man hangs around your woman doesn't mean something is going on or about to happen. It can be very lonely out here, and you need people settling down if you are new, male or female. But you need to still have self discipline in order not to lose yourself. And again, if you are not really a man she can freely chat with and tell things, then that explains her shutting you out of most of the happenings around her. If you often doubt her even when she's being sincere with her actions and words, she would of course hold back sometimes. |
quickly:My thought exactly |

I hope Arsenal wins this too, some of the players looked fatigued in their last two outings. |
