A significant number of black people have woken up and liberated from the scam of Abrahamic religion i.e Christianity and islam

If you still practice any of the two Abrahamic religion, its time you wake up and ditch that slave master's history book.

Have you asked yourself with number of churches and mosque in Nigeria and the amount of prayers offered, the country is very backward and not working?

If we can conclude anything, it is that the prayers aren't working.

If the prayers they offer works, Nigeria will be heaven on earth by now considering the number of churches on every inch and corner of Nigeria.

If 80% of the buildings used as worship centers are turned to factories, do you know how much it will contribute to Nigeria's economy?
If we have so many churches and mosques and and the country is backward do you think that closing down all the churches and mosques is the bright idea that will make the country move forward?

US citizens also pay more in taxes to their government than we do to fund the system...and at a higher rate than we do.

We use oil revenue, which is not enough for a nation of 220 million, and which is reduced heavily by looting and stealing, to fund our welfare projects. And even if there was no looting and stealing, it still won't be enough. In other words we use oil money for things that should be funded by taxes.

That's why we can't have good things like that

(And by the way, i am not excusing bad governance. Infact a sign of bad governance is that our government knows all this, but does not diversify our economy among other things. And fight corruption, so that we can earn money)
US citizen pay more taxes yeah?

Please what is the minimum wage in US per hour? I hope you answer honestly

You waste your time burning Qur'an (even though one or two of them will loose a head). The real location of the Qur'an is the mind of muslims. If all the Qur'an in the world is taken away today, it will be reproduced again overnight

Politics › Re: State Police: Should States In Nigeria Be Allowed To Have Police Departments? by Iamzik: 9:18am On Jun 28, 2023
Praxis758:
Yes, because every crime is local.

We claim to model our democracy towards the US, the same US has city police, county police, state police and one federal police which is FBI (equivalent to our DSS)

We are overdue for state police. Some skeptics who are anti-state police believes the state governors will abuse it; question: are the governors not abusing the federal police?
Are you aware that sheriff/ city/county police chiefs are elected and not appointed by the governor in US?

As long as the police chief will be appointed by a governor, the state government will be above the law and the police will be used to hound people perceived as opposition or enemies of the state

Hah! Government was subsidizing almost everything in this country o.. shocked No wonder nothing is working, free money was tomuch in the system for people to "chop" leaving those of us who are into private business to suffer for our own daily bread.
When we going to stop peddling this lie?

USA has a social security system that pays poor citizens every month. The system is well managed to reduce corruption to the nearest minimum and ensure that actual citizens benefit.....this is USA

Instead of going after the corrupt elements we are cheering government for scrapping the entire thing.

Everyone will be alright by the time the full effect come full circle

federal Universities are still tuition Free... Back then pple were fed thrice a day in University Free... That stopped later...cos govt couldn't fund it.. the fees in these federal schools is still moderate... Compare to what pple pay in private secondary primary schools let alone private universities... If u guys want total free education at all levels it has to be well funded by tax money... Except we wanna deceive ourselves... Whether or not subsidy was removed These charges were bound to go up based on current realities...
Looks like you didn't get any of my previous points so let me try again...

After removing all these "subsidies" from every single service what will the savings be used for?

I hope you can give a straight forward answer because no APC supportee has been able to answe this question

federal Universities is still tuition Free what pple pay is school charges... It's state Universities that aren't tuition Free... Like I said University education is luxury how many get to do msc PhD after BSC why not say govt should subsidize post graduate too..
May I remind you of the importance of university education and the fact that most of the present day politicians would not have become graduates if not for federal universities. So your politicians enjoyed subsidized education but when they get to the top they decide to promote a policy that will ensure that your own generation will not get to enjoy same and you think it's a good thing

My simple question that none of you have been able to answer. After removing fuel subsidy, increasing electricity tariff, floating naira with high exchange rate, food and transport inflation, yearly proof of ownership, increased insurance and so many others on the way in less than one month....what does the common Nigeria benefit from government?

You cannot tax a nation into prosperity and I hope we all drop party loyalty and face the reality for once. All this in less than one month.... Just imagine what 4 years will be like if this pattern continues

It beats my imagination that in 21th century, there's some people who are still believing the existence of a God or Satan.

Believing the existence of God is a symptoms of primitivity of mentality, primordial sensibility, retrogressive discretion, bankruptcy of ideology and cerebral sclerosis.

Heaven and hellfire doesn't exist.
No man has ever proven with conclusive evidence that God does not exist. That you can't see does not mean He doesn't exist.

Do you have a brain? Yes

Have you ever seen your brain? No

the only education govt should subsidize is public primary secondary education... Govt spend huge to sponsor pple abroad for masters PhD yet many don't return... To me that's not good... Besides how many tax can u pay to ensure education is free for everyone... At all levels...
Read again. I did not say make education free at all levels.

All federal universities have been tuition fees. If you remove all other subsidies is the savings not more than enough to fund the universities?

How many Nigerians can afford to send their children to a school that pays 700k per semester? Do you know how many students will drop out?

People are quick to defend policies they know next to nothing about the after effect!

No, the Nigerian Government is bankrupt. Subsidies have destroyed Nigeria.

Nigeria has NEVER had enough money to pay for the subsidies it provides, which is why the country is ALWAYS borrowing.

Thanks.
It is not subsidy that destroyed Nigeria. That is a lie sold to you by the political class

It is government failure to monitor and uncover fictitious subsidy payment invoices.

It's like deciding to sell your car to start trekking because your driver inflates your monthly fuel cost
Absolute no brainer

At this rate they will still loot the savings from subsidy removal and there will be nothing to show for it

Actually we are not.

Our tax to gdp ratio is too low

Our oil earnings are the same as Qatar, and we have 100 times their population.

Fix those two issues first...then we can talk.

(And that's why I don't like APC because they have not fixed either issue....so don't accuse me of supporting evil, Gosplan activist).
The savings from fuel and electricity subsidy removal..... what will it be used for?

The government is asking citizens to make adjustments yet politicians are not cutting the cost of governance or reducing their own pay...heck they are even planning salary increase for themselves! We need to face reality.

You can't tax a nation into prosperity. It doesn't work

So, she expects the university to survive on cheap fees?

Nigerians would complain all day long about half baked degrees...yet when efforts are made to improve things, they would complain poverty.

200000 naira is 270 dollars at most. And it is from that money that you expect degrees that can compete with unviersites that charge higher.?

Okay o. I don talk.
Nigeria is rich enough to subsidize university education

All of you that are supporting government to take away all the benefits enjoyed by citizens I hope you realize that every country in the world has one form of subsidy or the other.

Instead of going after those inflating the subsidy payment the government is taking away the benefits completely- fuel, electricity, education, floating of naira, and planned increment in tax

So after removing every single benefits your politicians will continue collecting their jumbo pay with all their expenses and will even increase their pay. What exactly will be the benefit of government to the common man??

Nothing to worry about. Senate President Godswill Akpabio will simply declare their seats vacant and it will be enforced immediately. Bye-election will be conducted and loyal party members will be elected.
We are talking about 22 senator, not one or two.
I don't think that akpabio will declare 22 seats vacant.

That will be a very risky political calculation
