Politics › Re: Ajaokuta Bombed By Boko Haram? by ifyalways(f): 5:27am On Feb 04, 2012
I don't understand why we are arguing over who did or did not do the evil.

The main gist is that Nigeria is as insecured as they come. Our govt, security outfits, churches, mosques have failed in that aspect, pure and simple!

Its now so bad that lives are lost consistently daily and we'd argue over "who" did it vigourously and when faint from that, pick our dead and bury.No plan/talk to stop the killings/evil.shame.

There are better ways to show respect to the dead anywayz.Staying of nld to do FBK,Myspace or twitter to me is BS.

Shutting down the lappy to lapdance on ur gf/bf is bulls too.Mourning, which includes when and how is a personal decision.

Btw,whats the update on the funeral rites?

Eyah
Aru eme
Ewo etc, these are all we'd be hearing for as long as anyone closes his eyes and ears to the fact that Northern Nigeria is not home for Non-Northerners.

You wanna rest in peace, let Go of every material wealth and reason and Go home to the land of your fore fathers, you can only rest in pieces in the North,BH would make sure of that.

Sad. . .but i hope someone alive would learn from those deaths and start moving NOW.Ozoemena! I pray God takes care of the ones they left behind.

^12 feet what?That one na fairytale proper.LOL

I have heard quite alot. Some i find highly amusing, others outrightly ridiculous and a few i accept to be true. . .when im drunk.

There is a stream @ Ihechiowa that is said to possess the power of trapping and sinking a girl that have committed 'abortion' once she steps foot inside the stream.(Ridiculous)

I was told that a certain woman "Eringa" in Owerri was so strong that she contested and won men in wrestling contests. She even went and stood at the frontline in the war front.(I believe this when im high)

Culture › Re: Can You Translate 'Messiah' In Your Mother Tongue? by ifyalways(f): 4:35pm On Feb 01, 2012
If i should go with 'the anointed' for Messiah then its "Onye e tere mmanu" in Igbo.

Chief Negro, but even in the bible time, priests and kings were "anointed" with oil?
Water for cleansing. . .Yes but "Oil" for laying of hands on the head.I also thought "blood" is/was used for total cleansing, then and now?

Family › Re: Does Marriage Change Men For The Better? by ifyalways(f): 10:54am On Jan 31, 2012
I don't know about men but I've got one man that marriage changed positively.

I would like to believe that a leopard hardly changes its spots, if he treats his mom, sisters, female colleagues as play things it won't be out of place for him to treat the wife as a toy.
Culture › Re: The "African" Smell? by ifyalways(f): 10:45am On Jan 31, 2012
I think every color has its own distinct smell. . . Now wether the smell is pleasant or not is story for another day.
Culture › Re: Igbo Names & Their Meanings by ifyalways(f): 10:40am On Jan 31, 2012
^translating that name can be tricky as the meaning bordes on 2 things concurrently.

It could be "if not for God/ this happened because of Gods love" or/and "we give praises to God"

I'd pick the first anyway.
