nyameke: Good point I have come to realise that most people like Jehovah's witnesses and non believers seem to rely on scriptures that deal with the human nature of jesus and ignore his device nature as God Almighty.. They will repeatedly quote scriptures about jesus human nature and try to set them against his device nature.. on the other side you have your ignorant Christians who only just focus on scriptures about his divinity to the extent of almost denying his human nature...

People have to understand that Jesus has two natures in the bible..
For the proper understanding of Jesus and, therefore, all other doctrines that relate to him, His two natures must be properly understood and defined. Jesus is one person with two natures. This is why the bible says he grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52) yet know all things (John 21:17). He is the Divine Word that became flesh (John 1:1,14).

Pastor Kun: Absolutely nothing in christianity, the christian bible or the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles supports the trinity doctrine. The trinity doctrine is a man made doctrine invented by the catholic church at the council of Nicea in 325AD. Trinity doctrine is not a part of true christianity.

logicboy: Not really. In my own situation, I lied that I was a christian so that I could bash christianity. I was arguing in a friends house at a gathering in Nigeria. I was already on the losing side because I was bashing the idea of God and the fake pastors.

I have the original Greek Bible, so no one can now tell me it was Emperor Costantine or the Catholic Church. haibe: God bless everyone here, uhm the issue of trinity isn't hard to understand as we may think. God is one that exists in three persons (father, son and holy spirit), this three are united together (tri-unity-trinity) but are distinct from each other, they have their will which are always in agreement. Note that their will can be different but will definitely end up in agreement. For example Jesus wanted the cup to pass over him but nonetheless still submited to the will of his father because he lay down his life by himself, he had the power to take it up. We can see that they can have different wills but it ends up in agreement. Jesus said if ℓ̊ go not away the comforter WILL not come, the holy spirit also have a will, they all have the same features of being like ALMIGHTY, holiness, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, eternal etc. They are co-equal, co-eternal, none is greater than the other. Jesus saying his father was greater than him was because of the limitation of the flesh, because he was a man he had to comply with the principles of being in flesh like worship to the father, being tempted, hungry, humbling himself in the sight of God as a man should like saying the father is greater than ℓ̊ or don't call me good master because only god is good. All this was as a result of him being in the form of a man. The jews understood what Jesus meant by saying ℓ̊ am my father are one, my father walketh hitherto and ℓ̊ walk, saying before abraham was ℓ̊ am and that was why they sought to stone him saying he blasphemed. He made it clear to them figuratively that he was God and that's why the jews says we stone you not for the works you have done but being a man you call yourself God. Melchizedeck was a picture of Jesus in the old testament, you can see his features in hebrew 7:1-3 that only God can have those features. Jesus has no beginning or end, he is from everlasting micah5:2. He wasn't created as some say because he was the firstborn of all creation, well the word firstborn comes from a greek word meaning protototype and can be used literally as firstborn and figuratively to mean pre-eminence (psalm 89:27,) even though david wasn't the firstborn and also jeremiah31:9 ephraim also called firstborn which is to mean pre eminence over his brother as God wants it.
In conclusion, the trinity doctrine wasn't formed in council of nicea but was only formally recognised as a teaching of the bible itself and therefore was made fully known as a cardinal doctrine of the bible by emperor ceasar constantine.

Are you saying that the word of your God is outside Him? Then this your dead and dumb God, is definitely not Jehovah Elohim, who SPEAKS His Word, and things appear into existence. His Word, which is always inside Him, was made flesh, and His Word is Him, Jesus of Nazareth, and there no controversy, 1Timothy 3:16

See the way you guys preach Trinity is sooo confusing. I believe in Trinity and I believe it can be understood. Now look at this 1 Tim. 3:16 and explain it. THE QUESTION IS WHICH "GOD" WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH? JUSTIFIED IN THE SPIRIT? SEEN OF ANGELS? PREACHED UNTO GENTILES? BELIEVED ON IN THE WORLD AND RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY? Do you think it is "God" the Father? Definitely NO and Capital NO because Jesus said No man has seen the Father but the Son (John 6:46). The "God" that manifest in the flesh is the "SON" Jesus who is also God. The same was the "God" that Preached and "RECEIVED" up, meaning ascended up into glory OR DID YOU EVER READ "GOD" THE FATHER WAS RECEIVED UP? The concept of Trinity is NOT complicated as some of you guys make it complicated. That's why people don't understand it. The context of 1 Tim. 3:16 clearly call proved it is "God" the son that manifest in the flesh, NOT the father but the Father, Son and Spirit are still God.

One thing I have always encouraged you to do when you study (not just reading and memorizing, am not saying you just read and memorize anyway, just pointing) the word is to deal with context. Now, let's look at this,

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Gen.1:1

AND

In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1

In these two scriptures, the both have the phrase, "In the beginning" Do you think they are talking about the same thing or do you think both phrase mean the same thing? Context is the key my brother. Now, I will give you assignment to look up the Almighty you are referring to in Rev. 1:8 in the context and you may come back want to come back to explain to us what you found out. Yes, that verse say the Almighty but you need to get the meaning of that Almighty by the context. If Jesus is the "Almighty" in quote, then what position does God - the father (YHWH or Yahweh) take?

Also, looking at the John 1:1 quoted above. There are two people called "God" in the same context. Are they the same? No! There is a Word that was in the beginning that was called God, which is Jesus AND there is a "God" that the Word was "WITH" in the beginning. Kindly look up the meaning to the context of Almighty in Rev. 1:8 and you may wish to dig deeper on that,okay.
