When Jesus Christ was on Earth carrying out his mission, the Scribbes, Pharisees and Sadduccees were shouting and attacking him "Who is this thing? The son of a Carpenter to come and tell us about the good and bad? Who is he to come to tell us the trained priest, lawyers, etc, what is wrong or right? " Of course, Jesus knew what he would face in their hands before he came for the mission. At the end, did he succeed or not? Why is the whole world celebrating him, both Christians and non-christians, after he had finished what He came for and left? Answer that yourself. Yes, am not Jesus Christ, but i do know what it would take to clean a system. Guys, trust me, i knew what i would face before hand. My point is, Am Well Prepared! Tribalism! Hmm! State of being loyal to ones tribe. Isnt it? A school of thought would argue that the root cause of underdevelopment in most African countries, including Nigeria, is Tribalism. When looked at in all ramifications, the school of thought is not far from the truth. Some had gone far to blame the colonial govts for creating tribalism in African countries, that had crippled the economy of the continent. But then, for how long should one blame someone that left this house long ago and keep blaming him for causing trouble between him and his wife, after decades? Tribalism! What led to the first massacre or slaughter of human beings in Nigeria? Was it not tribalism? When a certain tribe felt that the first coupe in Nigeria was lopsided, and the perpetuators of the "crime" were left unpurnished by one of the accused tribe that killed their tribal spokesmen. The massacre of Igbos in the north began, which led to the civil war. Did it stop there? No. Even after the war, the hatred has eaten deep into everyone, such that a small issue would lead to another slaughtering of Igbos in the North, even before Boko haram saga started. Triablism! Hmm! When one becomes so loyal to his tribe that he is willing to cause pain to another fellow human being to prove his loyalty to his tribe. Yes, thats Tribalism we have in Nigeria. When one is so loyal to his tribe that he can go any lentgh to defend his tribe by instigating hatred in the minds of the young ones that " He is your enemy, hate him with passion and insult him in a manner that he would hate you back and keep his distance". Yes, thats Tribalism we propagate in Nairaland. Too loyal to ones tribe to do anything, no matter how evil it is, to defend or prove loyalty to ones tribe. Yes, there is nothing wrong with the type of tribalism we promote in Politics section of this forum. I can see what good it has done in Politcs section. If you could intimidate my co-mods, sorry guys, you have met the wrong person. Dont worry, you guys are just starting to know me. If Admin wakes up in the morning and decides that Ikenna351 will no longer mod this section. Guess what i would do? I will find a quiet place, kneel down, look up and say "Thank you for giving me that little opportunity to do a good thing for the public for free". Yes, i owe humanity something. This is one of them, no matter how long it lasts. But as long as i still see myself as a co-mod here, i will carryout my method of sanitizing this section to the later. I will say it again, Bring It On! I remembered when the Igbos were starting various threads in this section, everyone was shouting why should tribal topics meant for the ethnic section be allowed in the Politcs section. They were all later moved to the ethnic section, where ethnicity should be discussed. Now, extreme tribalism should not be discorouged in this section, so that we will see more people to instigate and haul tribal slurs to? Good to know. Freedom of expression! It means i have the right to insult and curse an unborn child in your wife's belly and wish her dead. Yes, thats freedom of expression. It also means i have the right to curse your child to sleep tonight and not wake up in the morning. Yes, thats freedom of expression. Of course, you would say abomination. Whoever says such a thing should be stoned to death. Well, it will make sense. But when it comes to insulting another tribe with offensive names that would pain the other tribes insulted, then it should be allowed because "thats freedom of expression". Good to know too. When you approach a lady you want to toast and found out she is from Yoruba and you are an Igbo, if you call her a Yoruba and she frowns her face, would you call her Yoruba again? Knowing what your mission is? Of course, you wouldnt, but then its ok to call everyone here the name, because you dont care how he or she would feel. Rather, it will make you happy if she feels bad. Isnt it?Of course, you would rationalize it by citing a book where a prominent man used the word Yoruba, but you wouldnt dare say it that chick you want to date, for obvious fear of rejection. Good to know. Finally, you are pouring water on a rock if you think you can intimidate me, no matter how you guys gang up. Lets see how it goes. Ikenna |
Ikenna, A follow up question please - Has the license issue been resolved yet? Are renewals still being done, or is one forced to get a new vehicle license and plate?
Yes, i renewed mine last month. Unfortunately, change of old to new number plates cost almost the same amount with new registration. Change of old to new plates (including renewal of vehicle papers to reflect the new number on the new number plate) cost 30k. While new registration (including all the vehicle papers) cost N37,500. This is for Abuja, i dont know about other states o! Ikenna. |
Dede1: Even credit should be given to the people who initially designed this site for having the presence of the mind to carve out a section aptly called Ethnic, Racial or Sectarian Politics.I love this. God has a way of bringing out the truth: The mouth that speak lies, will someday speak the truth. Since you have acknowledged there is a section carved out for you tribalists, what are you guys doing here in this section? You can even become first king of tribalists in that section you know. Relocate their and spread your poison or virus. Once in a while, we will peep in to know to see how many have survived the virus. At least, we will make sure you guys are quarantined there. Ikenna. |
Life can be so interesting! See as all the tribalists are gradually showing themselves here, giving me the opportunity to note them, making the task easier for me. God, you are so wonderful! Please keep identifying yourself, the roll-call is still on going. Ikenna. |
Piyke: I did a test drive yesterday with no change. So I'll proceed to troubleshoot the MAP sensor as recommended by Siena. I've inspected the intake hose and made sure everything is fitted tight.Replacing parts at random is not always ideal, because you could get more frustrated when you dont get results as you replace parts. Lol! Trust me, it can be very frustrating. Back then, before i got my 505 v6 Electrical workshop manual, comprising of wiring schematics and sensor values of the car, i would take the car to APO, asked them to bring used parts of the sensors or components i want to test or change. I would swamp them in, like 4 or 5 of them. If i see any improvement, i would ask for the amount. If they say 5k, i would price it N700., knowing that they wouldnt sell to me at that price. I would them leave them and seek for a new one (if thats what i intend to buy anyway). My point is, i was using used parts to confirm if my sensor or component is still ok or the faulty. Nice tip! Lol! But when i got the manual, i now check the values with my DMM. If the DMM read below factory value (resistance, volts or both), i would know the parts would need to be changed. In your case, even if you apply my old method of diagnosis, it maynot work since you will need to drive the car to know if there will be any change or not. Hmm! Which way now? If i may ask, where your MAF positioned? Is it mounted directly on the intake manifold or mounted elsewhere, but connected to intake manifold via a vacuum line? Am asking the above question because, if its mounted directly on the intake manifold, you can pull it out, clean it and put it back. Some people have claimed they cleaned theirs with Carb cleaner and it started working again. But some will argue that carb cleaner will be too harsh for the MAP, since its made of plastics. Here is proper fluid for cleaning MAP, the MAF or throttle body cleaner, but where will you see them in Nigeria? But you never know, you may find such in Shoprite. At least, i was surprised to see WD-40, meant for cleaning electrical connectors or contacts, etc. I saw it at Enugu Shopite last Xmas, 30/12/2012. You can try shoprite first. Then if the MAP is not mounted on the intake, check the condition of the vacuum line, right from the MAP sensor to the intake. If any leak or crack is detected, replace it. If there is carbon build up inside the hose, clean it out and put it back. It may put life back into the non-functioning MAP sensor. The speed sensor in Peugeots controls only the speedomter, variable ratio steering and ABS in some models. Unless Asian cars have Vehicle speed sensor and also speed sensor separately, i wouldnt know. I will be in Enugu too this weekend, but i dont know if i will have enough time to go round the town. dayokanu: https://www.nairaland.com/1252100/ohanaeze-ndi-igbo-supports-amnesty-boko/2#15161778"....Unfortunately, some of the Igbos were raised outside the Eastern part of the country. They are the ones that would argue that Ibo is the right pronounciation and spelling, rather than Igbo. Well, i wont blame them. Few of our fathers who had their formal education during colonial era wrongly still write as they were taught by the whiteman. Some are still victims of mental colonization. Ibo maynot be an issue outside Nairaland, but it has become one in Nairaland, deliberately used to instigate tribal war in Politics section. For the sake of peace, please use your Ibo outside Politics section. Likewise, dont address anyother tribe with an offensive name, claiming you read it in a book or you found it on google.... " I thought they claimed you tribalists in this section are intellectuals? Whats difficult in understanding the above quote? Some are hidden, while the edited ones have been unhidden. The grace period on Ibo & Yoruba is on countdown. Ikenna. |
emychukwu: Tanx Ik, I really appreciate..but am nt dat enlightend about dis connectors ur talking abou..pls can u tell me..cos am on d verge of buying dis car..wots ur candid advise..a go ahead or look on sometin else..I don't want to be a constant visitor to a technicianConnectors: wiring connectors, sockets or plugs. Ikenna. |
Also, if you cannot live without insulting your fellow human being; if insulting fellow members here is what is still keeping you in Nairaland, then make sure you do not insult his/her siblings, spouse, parents or children. If a member offends or abuse you; if you have an issue with a Nairalander in Politics section, deal with him or her directly. Do not bring in his/her siblings, parents, children, wife, husband or tribe by insulting them. If i come accross such posts, i will do the needful. Thanks. Ikenna. |
emychukwu: Thanks ik, but I don't knw hw to contact d guy, I tot u will have knowledge about it..jst want to know if its too electrical like 406 cos I don't like dis electrical wahalas from wot I ve read on dis threadNo, it 306 has less electrics compared to 406 D9. It doesnt have the multiplex electric system (BSI) that you find in all Lion from '99 upward. But trust me, a BSI 406 can be very sweet to operate. But can be a nightmare to the owner if abused/tampared with. To me honest, am enjoying mine. As long as you keep to its do's & donts, it wont fail you. But note that all Peugeots electrics do act up. So the 306 is not left out. Most of Peugeot electrical issues would always end up to be connectors as the culprit. Cleaning them and fixing them back usually make the issues go away. Ikenna. |
lungwun: Hello Peugeot owners,I dont run 406 coupe, but its possible that some of the mechanicals of 406 sedan & coupe maynot be identical, considering the coupe is wider. All 406 coupe were manufactured in Italy, right inside Pininfarina plant/industry. But were taken out to Peugeot plant for all mechanicals to be installed. That is, Pininfarina produced the body and equiped them. While Peugeot picked them and installed the mechanicals and electrics too, i think. So, there could be some mechanical differences in the front end. But all the engines used in coupe and sedan are the same, both the HDIs and petrol engines. As for the RHD conversion thing, we have treated this over and over here. As for me on this question, i would tell you "You are on your own". I wont advice anyone to buy such car. Shikena. Ikenna. |
emychukwu: Pls can someone tell me about 306We have a member who have used 306 before, t-die. He is in a better position to answer your question. But the car parts sellers were saying the other day here in Abuja that 306 parts are scarce in Abuja. I wouldnt know about other states. Ikenna. |
lungwun: Yes I am new to this forum. But I do believe a simple Yes or No answer would have sufficed re: my first question.Trust me, by the time you have read upto the 5th page, you would have learnt a lot, more than what you expected. I dont always want to be the one contributing, so that it wont look one-man thread. That was why i chose not to reply and answer your questions. Ikenna |
oturugo: @The OP, please tackle those forumites who insult the yorubas by referring them as Yo-rubbers. Also, those who insult the Igbo group by typing Igbo.Thats my mission as a moderator in this section. Dont worry, let them bring up all their usernames. Am waiting for them. Please, dont hesitate to report such post with such tribal offensive words/names in this thread, with the link. Would appreciate it. Ikenna. |
Keep calling me bluff while posts get hidden and usernames get banned. You guys really dont know me. Ikenna. |
gbagyiza: I always inform people of d advantage of peugeot new generation cars, dat d security system is inbuild in d ECU, so there4 it will be difficult for an intruder to hv acess to ur car except at gun point.dats y cases of stolen peugeot cars are very...very hard to hear.Yes, you are right. The security code is not only coded into the Engine ECU, but the BSI unit. For every Lion produced from 1999, the BSI must first recognise the chip in the key fob before it would signal to the engine ECU to power fuel pump, send ground pulse to injectors and power coil packs. And the engine ECU is programmed to receive signal only from the BSI unit that have the same code from factory to run the engine. The thing is, you cant start a '99 Lion upward without its coded key fob. The engine will crack when try with cloned or duplicated key, but it wont start. And several crank of engine with the wrong or fake could make the BSI unit to lock the engine ECU. Meaning the engine will not start again even when tried with the genuine key. The engine ECU will have to be unlocked with PP2000 (Peugeot Planet 2000). Lions are turn off to thieves. How can you steal a car you can start with your fake key or software? Ikenna. |
Genius100: Finally Seun is doing the right thing. This is an excellent approach. Ikenna, my advice for you is to create a thread where people can report tribal provocations, so you don't have to read every single thread.Thats what this thread is for. I employ everyone to report tribal provocations on this thread, like Genius100 suggested. We need your support on this. Please, add the link as well. Myself and my co-mods here will take it from there. Thanks. Ikenna. |
This morning, the Admin, Mr. Seun, increased my responsibility as a moderator in Nairaland. He made me a co-mod in Politics section. I took the job simply to team up with OAM4J & Afam4eva to fight this deadly virus eating up this Politics section. So, my priority here is to deal with the virus. Its too shameful what some of the adults here are teaching our children. An innocent kid registers in Nairaland, the first thing he or she is taught is to hate his neighour, schoolmates, classmates or even best friends, simply because they are from different tribes. You maynot be directly teaching them how to hate an innocent fellow human being at home or in school, but you are directly doing that here. Ojukwu made mistake in the past, what about it? Awolowo did the same, what about it? My father must have made some mistakes in the past and so what? I have made some mistakes in the past that am not proud of and so wetin come happen? An what about you blaming another tribe or prominent figure for an alleged mistake(s)? Are you saying you have never done something in the past that you always regret whenever you remember them? Show me, who is that perfect man? Cant we let the past be and see what the future have for us? The 1994 Rwandan Genocide, a clash/manslaugther between Tutsis and Hutsis ethnic groups, which claimed about 1 million lives, didnt just happen. It started like what we are doing here. Creating & Promoting hatred. Sudan is not left out. We may call it e-tribal fight, but dont understimate what it does in our minds, which translate one way or another in our personal lives offline. Ojukwu is Ojukwu. Type anything other than that and i will ban you. Awolowo is Awolowo, anything short of that warrants ban from me. Achebe is Achebe. Type anything else, then we shall see. Am not a baby, i know a typo when i see one. I have taken my time to study and see some people deliberately address such people with offensive names. If you can spell your name correctly, then you have no reason not to spell Ojukwu, Achebe or Awolowo correctly. Unfortunately, some of the Igbos were raised outside the Eastern part of the country. Prefential treatment is not in my dictionary. And note that the duration of my ban is usually 7 days. I have not hidden any post yet or ban anyone, but as soon as this is posted, i will get to work. I have not become anyone's enemy yet. I maynot have time for other offences, but not for tribalism. Wont spare anyone, even if you are a friend. If you dont like my style of mod, you better start your petition to the admin to remove me before i fully start. Because, i wont spare any tribalist here who refuses to change. Depending on the degree of the insult against another tribe, i may hide the post, ban the username or both. Ikenna. |

Youngsage: Good day Moderator. Pls i mistakenly posted a thread twice in this section, I need you to delete one of them, the last one. Thanks!Done. Moderator |
Peugeot users, note that when you lock the door manually with ignition key, the Alarm will not alert anymore. Locking the doors with key remote activates or sets the internal and external protection. This is for Lion users that want to make use of siren/protection feature though. Ikenna. |
Thanks for the tip. Ikenna. |
