It was not just God the Father that made Heaven and earth, it was a "Let US". It was the three in One. God became flesh, humbled Himself so that He could save us, not because He is a lesser God. He had to become us, learn obedience. Phi 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Phi 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Christ was truly God ((CEV) Christ was truly God. But he did not try to remain equal with God.). He came in physical form to man. He could now be seen. he had opportunity to tell everybody "I Am God". But He didn't go about doing that, He humbled Himself. It didn't think of the advantage of been in the physical, to play a smart one. He didn't think of robbing God. But He made Himself of no reputation. Phi 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: He had reputation before, but He made Himself of no reputation. He was not eternally a servant. It was when He got to earth that He took on Him the form of a servant. i saw ijawkid writing some stuff about form earlier. his hero conveniently skipped this part about form of a servant. he emphatically says jesus is servant, double standards. It was this new position He took that made Him to say things like the Father is greater than i, and such like. This was IMPORTANT because He came to play the role of an example to us, humans. he came to show us how to live, how to please God. Heb 7:26 For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; He was not us from eternity, a servant, obedient and lowly and meek. He became us. He became a lamb, let's not forget that He's EQUALLY a lion. The two parts should be considered. He had to learn obedience. He wasn't obeying anybody from eternity, He is God, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Almighty. Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus is not just meek and lowly, He is also highly lifted up, above all. It is Jesus's coming from Heaven to earth to show us the way that brings up actions and passages like 1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. Maturity in understanding should help one know that this is Jesus in His position Jesus(Saviour). |
God is so One, you would barely note the difference, except that the Bible clearly teaches it. It's like if i compare mine body to the concept. My body parts are still me. All the three parts of the Godhead are still God. My lungs are not greater than my kidneys, neither is my head superior to my heart. They are still me, my makeup. Jesus Christ clearly stated in Revelation 1:8 that He is Almighty. there is no big deal to it, it's a simple fact. Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. All these talk about the Almighty been a big name for Jesus is child's play. The name JESUS itself is greater than the name Almighty. Phi 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Phi 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; A name that is a name which is above every name, is a name which is ABOVE EVERY name. The name of Jesus has been placed above every name, Almighty, All seeing, Baba God, Papa, Wondrous etc. In Heaven, in earth, anywhere. And BTW, Jesus is the Word who is magnified above ALL God's name, including the 'dreaded' Almighty name (Psalm 138,) except you don't believe the scriptures quoted. |
@ Image123,The doctrine of the trinity basically says HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, GOD IN THREE PERSONS, BLESSED TRINITY. It is of three distinct and recognisable personalities perfectly united in One. That the Father, the Son, and the Holy ghost are God in a way no other is or can be. That this Three persons God is the Godhead. The mystery is that they are ONE. How three is one is a mystery no doubt. It's not something that became a mystery at Nicea or by Constantine or Catholics. It was clearly revealed in the New Testament and yet a mystery. 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. mys·ter·y [místəree] noun (plural mys·ter·ies) 1. puzzling event or situation: an event or situation that is difficult to fully understand or explain 2. unknown one: an unknown, secret, or hidden person or thing 3. strangeness: the quality of being strange, secret, or puzzli Microsoft® Encarta® 2009. © 1993-2008 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. without controversy, without argument, we do not fully understand God. i wonder at the cockiness of ijawkid who thinks he has it all figured out, and others fools and sick. i say the 'truth' you know has not set you free at all. The mystery of Godliness is in scripture, and its not a small thing or simple thing as some have portrayed, it is great. Great is the mystery of godliness. We can't fully contain it, it's beyond figuring it out, or multitasking or brainwork meditaiton. God was manifest in the flesh, Jesus is the Word that was God, that was made flesh. And then, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This is jesus, and it clearly states that He is God, not a lesser God, or a god. he is God like God the Father. 1John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. |
@thehomer No, if it were reasonable, I would believe you. I guess the devil too sees you. Are you sure that he hasn't deceived you?Forget it mr, i don't owe you any such explanation. Sure the devil sees me, but he lives in you. You are blind and deceived. How do you know the devil is messing with my comprehension? After all, when I wrote my first post on this thread, it was appropriately wondering how you know what you claim to know. My question still remains about how you know that it wasn't God's will that the plane should crash. He could have prevented it from crashing yet he did nothing. Have you asked yourself why?Oh perhaps, your evolution is messing with your comprehension then. If God prevented the plane from crashing, would YOU believe that He did? Would you not attribute it to something else like luck? Who knows how many times God has been saving your behind and Danaá's, after He had given you the ability to do so? Or would you disagree that man could have prevented the crash, and the subsequent total loss of lives? i don't need to ask my self such questions as why did God not prevent the plane crash. You should be asking your government and countrymen, not God. You may be asking Adam who gave room for imperfections into the world. The world is already put on perish course by Adam's default Aren't you believers supposed to get some benefits here on earth based on your beliefs in God? I mean how sure can one be that a God who cannot or rather would not protect his loved ones here on earth will actually be able to provide them with heaven?Possibly you've been listening to alot of 'prosperity' preachers to come up with such view point. God has mercy on all and sundry, good and evil. It is of God's mercy that we are not consumed, because of His compassions. Without Him, you would have been long dead, and i. Material blessings are not the chief of God's promises to His children. God has promised us better things, spiritual blessings that include freedom from sin, peace with God, eternal life, unspeakable joy, unashamed hope, Heaven. Don't let me confuse you too much, i know you do not understand spiritual things. The gain there is that the God you're talking about can provide them with pleasurable deaths here on earth and still send them to heaven. Why should he maliciously torture them? What is your idea of a pleasurable death? Do i know that you would as usual ignore the question? One man's poison is another's meat. Your idea of pleasurable death may not be pleasurable to some. You may think (say) 90years is pleasurable, some don't want to be 90years on earth. It takes one second (ithink) to die. The news people say, the crash victims were 3minutes away from their destination. That is within 3minutes, they exited this earth, i don't know what you mean by pleasurable death. It's your perspective. The person is already dead and the person no longer needs it. You see, you're already being inconsistent when you say you wouldn't care about the body. It's not an important decision to me, i believe you read that. Hope is something that humans generally have.Of course i know, just like faith. I'm not diverting from issues I'm simply correcting a factually incorrect statement. Why don't you simply accept the correction? That you don't know doesn't translate into me not knowing. How did Jesus Christ die? Was Jesus' faith shaken when he was wondering why God had forsaken him? Was Peter's faith shaken when he denied Jesus?Typical of you not to deal with what was posted, but look for newer options to argue. Keep running away from the truth, you have strong legs. Jesus' faith was not shaken. He was not shocked or lose belief in God because He was crucified. He knew ahead of time that He would be crucified and forsaken, do you need Bible passages? It was simply a natural cry of pain. It's like when the doctor wants to inject you, you know it will be painful. But you might still scream and feel pain when it happens. Crucifixion and separation was not something the Christ was accustomed to, it was the SUFFERING/PUNISHMENT He bore for every human being. And Peter was afraid, not in disbelief about his faith. I don't have to speak to dead people to know that being tortured is painful. People experience pain when they're alive you know. You're speaking for them as if you know that they would have preferred another 'route'. Speak for yourself and your fantasies. i go to work because i have life. Doesn't stop me from knowing that life is vain and not as important as eternity and readiness for eternity. You can die anytime, and so can i . |
haibe: Am a christian and still one but something borders me, God is omniscient and knows the end from the beginning, he knew satan and adam and eve will sin S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ why did he create them since he knows the reward of sin is death and according to Jesus only few will be saved(mattew 7:14), There are now millions of people who aremy understanding of this may not be complete, or perfectly right, but allow me make this input. Heck i don't fully understand my family, my neighbours, even myself, it doesn't bother me much or cause me to disbelieve God because i don't understand Him fully. Nobody can fully understand God, not in this flesh at least. Nobody is omniscient but God, so i don't have all the answers, and neither do you, yes you the reader. So no point scorning others for not knowing what you don't also know. God is a Spirit, He is in another realm, not ours. To my understanding, we do not clearly understand the concept of omniscience. Omniscience tells us that nothing can be hidden from God by anyone, basically. Freewill puts a sort of comma on our concept of omniscience. i think God knows in phases, what i mean is He knows from the beginning, not before the beginning. Act 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. May not be the perfect analogy, but consider a pregnant woman going to the lab. The experts can tell her the gender of the baby, the position, and even when she would give birth to the child. That's foreknowledge and true. If the woman gets careless, and has a miscarriage or pre-mature, it's not meaning that the experts were wrong about the day of delivery and other information. i think its a similar but more complex and perfect thing with omniscience. One other thing to note is that all the diagnoses cannot be made or concluded until the woman got pregnant. Perhaps, until satan or adan and eve were made, it could not be said what would happen. yes, God determined the courses and the purposes for their creation, even before their formation but i don't think(I'M THINKING HERE PLS, IT'S NOT A DOCTRINE OR LAW FOR ANYBODY TO CARRY ON HIS/HER HEAD) He knew they would suffer or fall BEFORE the beginning. Just my take, no hard feelings i beg you. |
why, very likely the accusing lawyer has no go ahead from winch 'Justice'. May have never even met her, all these charge and bail parasites dem. |
@ijawkid Now who told u it was Jesus that said he is d almighty in that passage u read in revelation??Like i've earlier said, i do not possess the powers to open your understanding, neither do i guarantee anyone understanding these things. they are great mysteries, and praise God, you do not need them to obtain the basics of pleasing God, or even getting to Heaven as a pilgrim. It's more of theology, not grace. But nonetheless, accurate theology. one of you says it's not Jesus talking, the other says it's Jesus but the context. na wa oo. It's like A saying 2+2 = 22 and B saying 2+2 =4.0004.. None of you is right. Firstly, it's Jesus that is speaking in Revelations. It is His Revelation BTW. Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Those red letter bibles should help you since you have trouble figuring out who's speaking. But still, the chapter is clear as to who is speaking. I'm surprised i'm even having to explain this, this plain english. Rev 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Jesus is God Almighty, just as the Father is God Almighty. they are both God and One, that's the mystery. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. U have to really look out that 1corinthians to make ya final conclusions......As you please.. 1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. The verse itself seems to suggest At face value that jesus is currently not subject to the Father, but will be in the future. If we read it with just structure, lexis and grammar, isn't that what that verse implies? Is that true, that Jesus is currently not subject to the Father? It would only lead to more confusion except god helps you, and you understand the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It was a sacrifice well encapsulated in a passage already quoted on this thread. Philipp 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philipp 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Because of us, for His love for us, He left His glory, and took on Him the form of a man, a Son, to save us. he did it for us, to set us an example, a perfect example. To bring us into Sonship, He became Son. He was the Son of man as well as the Son of God. He lowered for us. It doesn't in the eternal scheme make Him a lesser God, or of low quality. It's a positon He took for us, to save us. But He remains the Everlasting Father, the Almighty. It's like we are sitted in heavenly places, far above all powers, yet we are still on ground earth. It's a mystery we may not fully understand, at least not in this body. It's like explaining how 1+1=2 to a dog, you can take him to the best schools with the best teachers. it's not it's realm, and you would be quite lucky to get him to understand it. We are on a realm of faith, it's on that realm that we can ever hope to have at least a semblance of understanding this. A thousand illustrations and pages from me on NL may never suffice, still i may try. And u didn't explain d lucifer thing well.....Everybody, even little children generally refer to that serpent devil as lucifer. We can't be into war of words on this. It's just like the picture of Jesus, it's just symbolic, nothing special or to exercise hard feelings over. It's even helpful in teaching children. but we could come here and argue for years on the color of jesus and length of hair, and whther he likes white and blue color or whatever, to no profit. 1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
@thehomer How you know concerns me due to the sorts of pronouncements you're making. Whether or not I believe what you're saying isn't as important as whether or not what you're saying is reasonable. Well, since you know the devil, why don't you tell him to come see me or something?Even if it were reasonable, you still would not believe. i'm not here to waste time with you trying to show you how reasonable my relationship is. The devil sees you everyday BTW, you're the one who doesn't see him. He's with you and in ou even as we speak. He's obviously deceived you. I know you said it was God's intention. I'm simply wondering how you know that it was actually God's intention and not maybe the devil's intention who is also deceiving you into saying what you're saying.Obviously you've chosen to believe what you want to believe, even when it doesn't involve the issue of your salvation. i clearly stated the opposite/reverse of what you claim that i said, and i've corrected you on it incase you mistakenly missed it. But it's evident that devils are messing with your comprehension. I SAID IT WAS NOT GOD'S INTENTION OR WILL THAT THE DANA PLANE SHOULD CRASH. You even quoted my saying it, yet you remain blinded. you're an unrepentant liar like your master the devil "God did not want the plane to crash." Since there were those who died believed in God, what is the point of believing in him? Is it going to heaven? If it is, is a plane crash really the best way for God to achieve that?We don't believe in God so as to avoid plane crashes. We believe in God so that we would not perish with the world and unbelievers, and so that we can be saved from sin and be made ready to live with God for ever. Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. You did speak about routes to heaven.i meant in the context of routes as in believing in Jesus as the way/route. there remains no other way. Atheism is no way, unbelief is no way, even religion is no way whatever the religion, Jesus is the way. talking about nice ways to die is at best child's play. Death is simply an exit into eternity. your destination overrides and is of more importance than your 'route'. What's the gain or point of dying a pleasurable death(whatever that means to you), and then going into a damnable eternity in hell? Would it bother you if someone decided to Reproduce with the body of a dead relative?Typical. Yes, it would, out of respect for the relative, and for human life. but it's not an important decision. We all have our toys and pet desires, but maturity helps to submit them to the bigger scheme/plan. life is vanity, get that. Also, I hope you're going to donate your body to medical science since you really don't care what happens to it after you're dead.Hope is a good thing for an atheist to have. you're close. Actually, we don't know how Paul died.Who are we? Typical of you to try to divert from the real issues. you know how Peter died, or Jesus, or Stephen? Do you even believe that any of them ever existed? Or you want us to take your little toy on how Paul died and play together? And the claim that "no real Christian's faith is shaken" due to x simply tends towards a No True Scotsman fallacy because how one reacts to a plane crash has no bearing on whether or not they're Christians.Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword? Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2Corinth 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. This is the position of real christians, peep out of your fallacy realm into reality. None of these things move me. Actually, what I'm wondering is how you know what you claim to know and whether or not a God who cares for his people can make their exit less painful. You sure most have spoken with dead people to know these things, or assume this position right? you do not know that life is vanity, that's your problem. You think the exit is so important, and you muse on the fairness and the unfairness of the exit door or 'route'. You should take some percentaage of your musings and thoughts on the destinations, which you currently do not believe in. What if? |
I'm not ignoring the corinthian passage, I just feel it's an unneeded complication in understanding the simple issue placed before us. The OP asks, is Jesus Almighty? Jesus Himself replies in Revelation saying "I am Almighty". settle that simple line first before throwing in what ofs and what nots |
ijawkid: If Jesus says he is d alpha and omega its ur duty to find out in what way he's d alpha and omega........Jesus is Alpha and Omega in the way God is, like no other , the everlasting father, the eternal God. There is no other sense. Lucifer means morning star in latin, that's not new knowledge. But general knowledge and common understanding should be noted. General knowledge refers to satan as lucifer. satan itself simply means adversary BTW. Generaly, when we say devil, it refers to that old serpent satan, same goes for the word lucifer. There are though a thousand and one other devils. It's like a painting of Jesus, we know that's not Jesus but simply an illustration, without unnecessary complicating things. Jesus is Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the Almighty, undeniable. |
Ptolomeus: I follow your reasoning:what's the image of god that you have. ? |
i dey laugh even inside sleep. |
Forget about her relationship wise, concentrate on your studies and build a solid relationship with God, my advice. |
ijawkid: Please help me explain 1corinthians 15:27 $ 28go and meditate on this, it's also scripture, not my idea. Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. |
@thehomer My question is how do you know what you're claiming? I really have to bother because if this same God tells you to go out and kill three children he picked out, with the sorts of justifications you're ready to present, you probably would do that. And my answer again is that it is none of your business how i know. You don't believe in God, you are not going to believe whatever i say on hearing from Him. Happy? BTW, you don't know God, neither do you know His characteristics. He's not like your boss the devil that makes sinful orders and demands on you and all his. So should believers now come out and say it was actually God's intention? If you were not such a forgetful person, you would recall that i clearly stated that it wasn't God's will or intention. You even quoted me saying that. no, God did not want the plane to crash. God's will is not often done on earth as it is in Heaven BTW. Actually, I do have a solution which is better regulation here on earth. It is something that we humans can do without calling on God.your solution is late and is not borne out of not knowing God. Believers and religious people also want better regulation here on earth. i've not asked you to call on God, have i? Your unbelief didn't avert the crash, neither did the beliefs of those who died. the point is that you do not have anything better, or unheard of to offer. All you can do is mumble and grumble about a God you don't believe in. You definitely have a stress with those that have an Heaven to get to, i've not mentioned anything like "calling on heaven"(whatever that means). i don't think i said/thought about nice routes to Heaven. i asked you if atheism was a better route. Obviously you don't know the way, nor believe in the journey, so what's up with detracting those who want to go to Heaven like moi? You know i don't have time for waste, going by your history. For christians, our perception of the human body is very different from other's perception. The body to us is just like a garment or a house where we temporarily reside. the real you lives forever either in eternal life or in eternal damnation. So the christian is more concerned about resting in peace then in leaving in peace. Resting is forever, in Heaven. Leaving is for one day, one minute or second even. it's so like the world to spend millions on the wedding day, and unable to build a marriage/home. marriage is for life(at least in true Christendom). Wedding is one day or two. i care less what happens to my cloth(body) after i'm through with using it. Whether someone else start using it, or it's burnt up, or used to clean excreta, or dust, or hung in the museum does not matter to me much. i'm through with it. it's same with our bodies. that's why we exhort that people be ready for eternity at all times, ready for departure. How your body is treated at and after, that's child's play at best. Some people want a 'befitting burial', some want memorials and all sort. An exit is an exit. God's beloved Son Jesus exit through crucifixion. peter, paul, Stephen all exited in 'unpleasant' ways. No real christian's faith is shaken because of a plane crash? It's an exit, even if you die at 150years with all your g children surrounding you, it's still just an exit. more important than depart in peace, is resting in peace. People would undergo crude things and shame at the hospital to get health. endure insults and smells at the hospital. people would call cow "daddy" at higher institutions to obtain a degree, go through all sort of meniality and trash to hold a job and get promotion. people are ready to trek from nigeria to America if it is legal. But to get to Heaven, you are here arguing literarily on whether the exit door was painted or made of wood. You have real issues with the devil homer. |
Logic Mind: If I uderstand you well, on the first day god created light in general. then on the fourth day he assigned missions to these lights.Partially, only that God did not 'create' light on the first day. He only made it appear by speaking the Word. |
When people say that christ is in them and they are in christ does it make them christ?Nope, but it shows Christ as omnipresent. So He can be at the father's right or left side. being at one's right hand is a figurative expression by the way. God is on my right hand and i'm also on His right hand. The Lord is my shade on my right hand. Psalm 109:31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul. It's purely figurative, nothing to do with Jesus not being God. Jesus Himself said "I am Alpha and Omega, the Almighty". And like i said, it's better believed than understood. i can't guarantee your understanding God, but i can guarantee your believing. Believing is the basic requirement in God's realm, not understanding. |
ijawkid: Did u just hear yaself....He does man, He does. The very fact that He is omnipresent proves that He does. Plus, you conveniently ignored the plain scripture that i quoted earlier. |
dorox: If jesus is god why is it that he always sits at rhe fathers right hand and never the other way around?Jesus is not just god but God. His omnipresence makes it possible for Him to sit anywhere He deems fit. Sometimes sef, He's inside God the Father. |
thehomer: This isn't about my happiness, it is about how you've come to know what you're claiming to know. Since God told you this, did he give you a reason? Or was it actually your devil talking to you?abegi, leave me and my God with some privacy, na everything you wan know. since it doesn't make you happy, don't bother. Unbelievers presence in the plane did not stop it from crashing. So no unbeliver should come on this thread with some air of superiority. Believers presence, or relative of believer's presence did not stop the crash, neither did unbelivers. You don't have a solution neither do you have an Heaven to go, so what's your stress with those that have an Heaven to get to? It is not the tar quality of the road to Heaven that matters most to us, but Heaven itself. you don't believe in Heaven, yet you're arguing on the best route, mind your business lady. |
musKeeto: lol, ur kid is a satanic tool.... pele..I'm serious here muskeeto. BTW, you're a satanic tool you know? In the bigger picture, one is either a servant of God or satan. Children take in a whole lot of information that forms them all through life in the ages of one to four already. i was only being general on how many Christian parents handle the spiritual lives of their children. |
logicboy: Yet, you guys will be the first to say that Muhammad married a girl that was too young.your point? |
all of you using naira or dollar, you are illuminati. Those monies are either illuminatized or filled with pagan and unchristian symbols. Did I just type unchristian symbols? Sorry, there is no Christian symbol. any body using any symbol is an illuminatic idolater, right? i'm going on love with theories |
on age of accountability, I think you shoot it too up by saying 13. To me, if Jesus is our perfect example to follow, and all scriptures are for our learning, then it may be way below. At 12years old Jesus was much accountable and about His Father's business. Daniel knew stuff as young as he was to be able to purpose in his heart and live a godly life in a strange land. It's a similar thing with young Samuel. it's unfortunate nowadays the ploy of the adversary, to make us not train up our children in the way they should go. The children church has become a play class struggling to meet up with the entertainment obtained in private schools, that's even where children church exist. Other places they just run and play all through church. Then we start to 'train' them when they are already formed into satanic tools. This is not right at all. |
thehomer: How do you know God didn't want the plane to crash? Did he tell you?God told me, happy now? Did i mention that the presence of any one prevented God from stopping a plane crash? Do you think atheism is a "better" way to heaven? |
Enoquin: @Image123: Kai! As funny as your version is, I think I prefer @eddy1997's answer of Daniel probably out of the country on a diplomatic trip. Reason being that you cannot simply be amongst the king's princes and councillors and stand amongst the crowd, all of the king's men would probably have stood in front...either of their ward or their 'constituency'...leadership by exampleeddy1997's answer is a possibility which i think i stated as well. i then state the other possibility, which is that he probably was not caught. It's not only the governors or politicians or people under EFCC's list that are guilty or corrupt. daniel sat at the king's gate and was not the 'head of any ward or constituency' as it were. it was a privilege he passed up for his friends earlier. Dan 2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Dan 2:49 Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king. He prefered to sit at the gate, even though he was given greater honour. Second is that the '3hebrew children' were not immediately noticed. It was some jealous folks that came to report them, just like daniel's case in the lions' den chapter. it was actually a plot in hatred of the Jews Dan 3:8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews. Dan 3:12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king. Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? It was not a thing the king spotted immediately everyone fell down and some 3 folks stuck out like a sore thumb. We are not talking about a school assembly here, we are referring to the Nebuchadnezan EMPIRE. |
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Jesus Christ is God Almighty. We better believe it if we claim to believe the Bible. understanding it is another matter for mary and martha. No one should expect to completely understand God, it's another realm. Farther than man's realm to animals. yet no animal or dog no matter how intelligent or old understands what we see as simple such as 2+2= 4. It's simply out of its realm, yet true. that we don't understand or know something does not make it untrue. |
@ijawkid And how do u think he must have combined his new found faith with been in d militaryIt depends on perspective. An executioner is not a murderer. governmment spends public funds all the time. it is how you spend it that qualifies you as a good government or as a criminal government. A police man's duty may involve ENFORCING law and order. If it is not done in the OFFICE of a police man, it may be seen as a breach, assault and crime. If i jail someone in my private jail(assuming i had one), for stealing my car, i would be punished. If the judge sentences the same person for stealing my car, there would be no issues. Luke 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. John did not preach quit your job as a soldier. National security is IMPORTANT. But he preached against excesses as seen among many powerful people. What John was saying reads "Neither intimidate any one nor lay false charges; and be content with your pay." So, there is positional authority and perspective in Heaven. We love God as a Father, but fear Him as Judge. |
logicboy: Unfortunately for you, no one knows who wrote Hebrews.i please God, bite yourself. And God wrote Hebrews dummy, the whole Bible is God's word. |
June 6 The best investments Mark 5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. There are different kinds of land, barren land and fruitful land. Nigeria for instance, has fruitful land. If you throw away corn, even frivolously on the soil, and it is not eaten up by any bird or animal, it would naturally almost likely bud and bring forth maize when you come back in some months. Not all lands are that way. Some places you need to dig deep, come with manure and fertilizer, and water it adequately to obtain similar result. Some other places are barren like desert. It's the same way with human beings. Some need just one resource and they will make it. Some are even "making it" without the much clamoured for 'resources'. Some are just a waste of resources literally. You do not want to invest training, time or money on such individuals. Our man in Today's passage was such great investment, such as the Samaritan woman Jesus met. This one did not even have to wait for any power, not to mention pentecostal Holy Ghost power, to bring in revival. This was the man in whom legions of evil spirits resided in. This was the man for whom Jesus told His disciples "Let us pass over unto the other side". This was the man for whom it appeared there was a great storm that made the disciples think that the end had come, that they would perish. This was the man for whom Jesus would not be deterred, but calmed the storm greatly with a rebuke. This was the man, who though possessed with legions of unclean spirits, willed himself against a 'thousand devils', and ran to Jesus and worshipped Him. This was the man whom Jesus would rather save even if a great herd of swine would perish. This is One of the cloud of great witnesses looking at us, looking at you from Heaven and saying "You can do it, i did." This was the man who Jesus could trust with the whole of Decapolis, knowing that he would do a good job. The people of Jesus did not want Jesus, this man wanted to follow Jesus. Jesus knew that this man would make a good representative, a little Christ, a small Jesus, a real christian. He left him there. can God count on you, even if initially against your will and plan? Are you a good, fruitful investment? or you're just here on earth to make money, marry, and go to heaven? Obedience is better still, than sacrifice. This 'righteous mad man' obeyed, departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and God honoured his work. Are you fruitful or barren? Is your life a marvel to the world or they cannot spot the difference? Can you, yourself, even spot the difference? the question is, are you a good investment for God? |
logicboy: I do voluntary work for a charity that helps poor african children and I give alms to the poor when I can,saw this in my Bible after your advice. Heb 11:6 But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. |
logicboy: That is a fact. There is nothing you can do as a christian that I can not do as an atheist.can you please God? |
