So 5solas wants to teach something, good. Teach on |
God has overturned it. The diadem has being removed, the crown is taken off until he come. Jesus is coming to reign. It is His right. Prepare, o ye saints of God for we shall reign with Him, if we suffer with Him. Now we may suffer ridicule, temptations and doubts, scorning and perplexity. But lift up your heads, Look up, the king is coming. God will give Him the throne of David, it is His right and no one else's. How awesome God is, from Ezekiel 21 to Christ's second coming, and forever more. The Word of God stands. His love can never fail. Hold on to Him, we will see the king. |
April 21 Ezekiel 21v27 27. I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. Someone once said "I believe God to be the more real than my Father who I see". It can get that strong. It is in the same vein that we say "Jesus' coming to reign is most sure than Israel having a king". Israel asked for a king in the day of prophet Samuel. They got Saul and then David and so on till the captivity, remember? Since then, Israel has not had a king again. There's only ONE king left to rule. This is our Today's passage. The U.N, did I say the U.N? The whole world cannot come united to successfully give Israel a king. |
Thank God I got born again before reading this thread. Jesus! Even St. Peter would not understand some of these 'scholarship' |
Accept my condolences, I feel your pain. But if mummy truly gave her all to God, then it means she gave her life to God, not to man. It means also that she's in a better place now. It is FAR better, at least for her. Take heart and do all it takes to see her again in heaven if you believe. May God's Spirit comfort and settle you, amen |
@InesQor Point is that most people in support of tithe ignore threads like this, or do not contribute. For one tithe supporter, you'll usually get above double tithe haters insulting him/her and thinking he collects tithes for a living. Both the hater that has not been to church in a while and the one that doesn't believe in God, and the one that thinks he knows some Bible passages, they all have an irresistable urge to post. That's what I call the taskmaster's hardness |
Pardon me mr, pls communicate in english, I'm losing you. Or you just belched yet again. |
Pardon me mr, pls communicate in english, I'm losing you. |
I do hope to see you in heaven, you careless soul. Keep on seeking, you'll find |
^ Tithe haters must continue belching despite the little or no resistance they enjoy. That's what they're possessed to do. The devil is a hard taskmaster. There's no peace/assurance for the wicked. |
^ Why the bother? At least according to you, they can't lose their salvation. Or you want them to be aware that you know something. |
If you wish to live an undefeatable life, you need to remember God. It takes your will, your freewill to choose for yourself. But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. This name is a strong tower. Let's begin to remember this wonderful name for our safety. We live in a dangerous, insecure world. But we will remember our God and His name. Make sure that God is your God today. Come to Him in repentance. It is the righteous that runs to Him and is safe. |
April 20 Psalm 20v7 7. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Remembering God is faith, because we do not see God. We can see chariots, we can see horses. Fortunately, we can have chariots and we can have horses. Unfortunately, some tend to forget God, who is invisible, when they see chariots and horses. Chariots look strong and dependable, but the fact remains that almost every army has chariots and horses. And we know that almost every army experiences defeat. Really, it is a feat for an army to remain unbeaten. The point is that the chariots and horses can be and have been defeated. |
Joagbaje:I think Joagbaje is learning and I thank God for that. He's being quite 'sheepish' now. I just hope it's the real sheep behaviour and not just sheep clothing. Now if a non christian asks God for forgiveness, he'll be forgiven. He'll die forfiven. He that confesses his sin will have mercy. Thats the promise in Proverbs 28v13. Jesus says I'll in NO WISE cast out. Two, to be born again is to be born anew. Every human is born once and they are all dead for all have sinned. But when you're born again, you receive new life, eternal life, power to become the child of God. That of course comes with forgiveness and power over sin. He will save his people from their sins |
5solas Obviously, the days you refer to were shortened so that the 'elect' wouldn't be deceived. That means then that the possibility exists, or there'll be no purpose for shortening. May I ask, some of the churches written to in Revelation 2&3, is it possible that some lost their salvation? Or the warnings were just standard procedure/protocol? |
When I read Hebrews 7, I saw that 'thousands'(as kuns called it) are being deceived to think that tithe has to be only crops and agric. ![]() |
'a man may have done a crazy thing doesn't make him a crazy man. Therefore, no good work makes a sinner good AND no bad work makes a christian bad.' This above line of arguement is UNSCRIPTURAL. It's a flawed logic. I'll prefer this one below. i'll compare a sinner to bad/spoilt food, and a christian to good food. It's easier, almost natural for good food to become bad food than vice-versa. Bad food turning to good food takes a miracle/conversion. No matter what you do with bad food, it's still bad, except there's a miracle. Put it in the fridge or fine ceramic, its still bad. But good food don't act that way. Pour it on the floor and it's on its way to, if not already BAD. Get it? 1corinthians 10v12 |
Joagbaje I want to believe that the corrections you're receiving are filtering in. Please do not repeat the same mistakes again, it makes learning pointless. Now, sin and righteousness are both natures, but they are also single acts. Sin is A transgression of the law, that's NT. One transgression, one act. EVERY unrighteousness is sin, notice EVERY. Also there are deeds/fruits of righteousness. Now you're talking eternal security, I'll imagine you've never read of Ananias and Sapphira or of Demas. Ezekiel 3v20 |
God wants us to experience our position. This is the joy of being in Christ, we're to bear fruits. You know, a fruit can be of a good tree, perfect, but not useful or edible. The fruit needs to grow into ripeness and perfection. Unripeness and perfection is of little benefit. When the fruit experiences ripeness through growth, it has turned its position into experience. Today, you can come to your position. You can be holy, righteous, children of God WITHOUT rebuke, perfect, and furnished. Desire to experience the position. There is room for you. |
April 19 Acts 19v2 2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. Here in Ephesus, we find a set of believers who did not know. It has been said that knowledge is power. These disciples were fit for heaven yet they had not heard whether there was any Holy Ghost. These people were in position but not in experience. Many people are in position but not in experience. They are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus but are still living below in bondage of sin and of the kingdom of darkness. But from Today, God wants us to grow into our position. |
Joagbaje You said the only person that can commit sin is a christian. Now its you never said christians are sinners. What is the definition of sinner/s? The verses I quoted tell you why Jesus came, not what you're saying. I didn't mention a thing about John's baptism. I quoted that Jesus came to TAKE away sins/save from sin which is more than just forgiveness. If I get you right, you're saying Jesus came to bring forgiveness to christians. Hebrew 9v15 says Christ's death was for redemption of sins under the OT. What are you quoting? |
I thought the Bible says that Jesus became POOR that we might be rich, or that poor means wealthy in the original. Some people have the original with them now se? On 'seed sowing', as abused as it is, I see it as a law. A law of sowing and reaping, not necessarily into a pastor's life. It is give and it shall be given, it's not twisting God's hand. It's a law like the law of gravity. Anybody that gives to anybody reaps. It is blessed to give. Whether you're osama or st.Jesus, if you give you're on your way to reaping. That's how I see it sha. |
There was a standard for sacrifices before Jesus came in the flesh. You can't just say anybody who says God forgive me. There were standards even in the OT. Now, Jesus forgave sins of non-christians while on earth. He told Paul about forgiving sins of non-christians after dying and resurrecting(Acts 26v18). Why exactly don't you want Jesus to forgive sinners today? |
I see questions aren't getting answered or a getting answered with a kain. Joagbaje, are you a leader in isrel, and don't know these things? Of what use is salvation, why did Jesus need to come. Those are your questions. I'll help you. Remember we're talking of Jesus who is seperate from sinners. Since you say only christians are sinners, I'll assume Christ is seperate from christians. Or this also doesn't apply to christians. I see you've quoted some of the books you earlier dismissed, so permit my quoting. John 1v29 the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Matthew 1v21 for he shall save his people from their sins. That's what Jesus came to do, to save from sin, take away sin, not just forgive. Forgive is part but it's more than that. He came to take away. Daniel 9v24 |
So, if a man that is unsaved is asking God for forgiveness, It does not make a difference. He's going to hell anywayJoagbaje This is another gospel which you preach. You're playing with being accursed. You've said that an unbeliever cannot be forgiven and the only person that can sin is a christian. Bible verses have been brought to you and now you're saying there's provision for forgiveness under the law. Are you dribbling us or the thing is dribbling from your mouth? John 8v34 does not relate to a christian se? You'll still shift the goalpost out of the stadium, never mind. Seeing genesis to john doesn't apply to you, lets try Acts 26v18 that the gentiles may receive forgiveness of sins. Do you still maintain that an unbeliever cannot be forgiven? FYI, 1John 1v9 may also assist your plight. |
the controversial issues was the fact that i said An umbeliever cannot sin. This is a gospel truth. Sin is a nature inherited through Adam
Joagbaje, You've repeatedly said the only person that can sin is a christian. Infact, you've said an unbeliever cannot be forgiven. Please the publican in Luke 18v13 who said 'God be merciful unto me a sinner' and went home justified, was he a christian? The woman Jesus told to go and sin NO MORE, was she a christian? John 8v34 says whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. Are christians servants of sin? |
^Christian ego died on calvary. I doubt that you understand the statement anyway |
Hope huxley is learning his lessons so as not to repeat this class asking the same questions later? jagunlab is so pathetic I didn't even bother myself. This are the ilk that criticise scriptures and say it's story written by fishermen. With all the resource available at your beck and call, that's all your intelligence could imagine? go and get salvation, that's your eminent need |
^yes! And put something like 10% of kunleoshob's views. I told you the primaries were rigged men. |
And to what purpose is inec conducting this free and unfair election? The primaries have already being rigged |
Snowwy Please, notice how kenny888 is loggin in and out under differing IDs in an attempt to make major contributions to this thread. Kunle I thought you'll just ignore me na, you yielded to the temptation. It bites you that snowy is not the only person left on nairaland who believes in tithes. Sorry to pierce your hardened heart. Do you know what rooting means at all, cos I'm just starting to branch. All this wide mouth about proving beyond shadow of doubt that tithe is 'unscriptural'. . Take time o! I won't speak of myself. Do you remember pilgrim, and how she made you disoriented at will? Don't let me mention others before I put fear into your soul. I like to see people live by faith. You, hebrews 7? You must have thought of tearing that portion out in shame when it was expounded years back to you. Now see what the enemy has sown while men slept. |
Aletheia Obviously you weren't following the posts I made earlier in connection with the post you quoted. If you were, you'll have noticed that I'm condemning the words 'only a christian can commit sin'. Talk about rushing to post. You're harmfulessly funny. You're the one who talked the other day/thread about loopholes all over and then you began to create them se? God bless you many times |
