Family › Re: My Wife's Sister Sneaked Out Of NYSC Camp & Came Into Our House, This Happened by ImaIma1(f): 10:09am On Aug 02, 2017
richyblink1:
Not if I were married, I am married with kids. And no visitor has ever visited my house(my mum inclusive) without me personally informing wifey. As I talk to you I have both mother in law, brother in law and sister in law in my house at the moment. So I have no fuse about in laws visiting, but it must be spelt out.

No one comes to my house unannounced and start issuing order around. Yes the hubby over amplified the issue, but madam lack respect.

Do you know at times my mum calls my wife to inform her she will be visiting, it's my wife that will stylishly tell me that mama might be coming next month. I will just laugh because I know they have spoken. When I will ask my mum why she hasn't told me, she will simply say that there is still time, that she only informed the madam of the house ahead of time.
But should it cause a major fracas because the wife failed to inform him? Isn't it something they could have talked through privately and resolved without the SIL being in the line of fire. Going as far as telling his cousin to consult him before doing anything for the SIL is petty and unnecessary. It would have been better to discuss with the wife and tell her to try to manage the situation and her sister's excesses during the time that she is there. He actually did not handle it well. These things are done with wisdom. You might dislike an inlaw but they will never know.
If my BIL or SIL comes with load without my husband informing me, i will take it out on my husband but i will make sure my inlaw is comfortable. The wife was wrong and the husband was "more wrong" cos he couldn't handle the situation.

Family › Re: My Wife's Sister Sneaked Out Of NYSC Camp & Came Into Our House, This Happened by ImaIma1(f): 9:15am On Aug 01, 2017
The sister is your Sister inlaw. Even if your wife did not mention it, you had a right to be upset but to discuss it with your wife in a cool manner so that SIL doesn't feel like her coming is a taboo or big issue.
You complain about your wife now but i suppose that you have dated her for a while and accepted her flaws enough for you to wed her traditionally and i know you also has flaws that she has to deal with. Or are you perfect? You are the man of the house and should be able to handle the affairs with understanding, love and wisdom. Being the man does not mean being autocratic and demanding respect and wanting to control. It requires more strength of the mind than physical.
What i see is a lack of unity between you and your wife. If you are united, no one would be able to come between both of you. Even when an issue like this comes up, you would resolve it without a 3rd party knowing that their action was a problem.
Both of you should start talking and understanding each other more. Only SIL is shaking your marriage. Mother in law has not even come yet (your mum or her mum)

I know you are trying to be realistic that alot of men cheat but there are still some very discipline ones.

I can boldly say that I had only visited Nigeria twice in d last four and half years (41/2) have been away and I have never kissed nor touched another woman (sexually).

So alot of us are still much faithful to our partner

Hmmmm, truth is bitter and I know that some of u are still single or u are still enjoying the best part of good relationship,I pray that u will not face what this woman is facing in future, that time u will know that all men are the same, ask ur mum how she keep ur dad,she will tell u is not an easy task, and next time u don't av to call someone names (puppy) to pass ur message, that shows that u are not mature enough
Truth is you cannot speak for every man except you have done your research and taking the statistics of the whole men in the world before coming to your conclusion. We usually use ourselves...limitations,experiences and flaws to measure or judge the next person. The fact that you might not have self control does not mean that another guy cannot control his desires. Your own limitations are not general to all species of men.

Op your husband owes you faithfulness. If he says he doesn't, then you don't owe him either. I am not advising that you cheat though. And please do not believe all the bollocks about all men being unfaithful. Only the ones that lact that control of self believe that and try to generalize it.
He is your husband, your partner, your lover. Talk to him and try to find out what exactly the problem is. Except he has a wandering eye and pinis, you should be able to reach him.

Mcowubaba:
The film is actually not hyped. It has a great storyline
With an amazing cast, great reviews.
Box office records, and high budget.

Just say it's not your type of series.

Like me, I prefer watching comic series like Big Bang theory, 2 broke girls, Scrubs, How I met your mother, Modern family, New girl, Shameless, Devious maids, Everybody hates Chris, 2 and half men, friends, last man on earth
I have watched them all, lol.
The are my type of films.

I also love a little bit of action/thriller , and series like Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Empire, Lost, Nikita, Better call Saul, Blacklist, Blacklist redemption, 24, 24-Legacy, Lethal weapon, OZ, Blindspot, Power, How to get away with murder, Walking Dead etc does it for me..

On very rare occasions, I may want some bit of epic/mystery/Sci-fiction series, I watch Arrows, Game of Thrones, American gods, Gotham, person of interest, limitless

Mehn, I don watch series oo, I have even forgotten some.

You are my person. I love 2 and a half men, big bang theory, friends,mum...and some other funny stuff.
I can't muss Rissoli and Isle, criminal minds and i just loved Tyrant.

I have not watched one episode of game of thrones, empire or the series OP mentioned except Suits. I actually lack the commitment to follow through. I don't have that time to start anticipating a next episode and getting hooked. I love sleep

I remember one of my brothers always looking for change before he sent me on an errand because mallam never had change. I never brought back change. grin. I washed my brother's clothes but not after we negotiated price. We would bargain and bargain. I was a little terrorist.
But i got attention and stuffs easily from them. cheesy
Education › Re: Why Olusegun Kayode Bello Was Expelled From The Nigerian Law School - Management by ImaIma1(f): 2:13pm On Jul 27, 2017
The law school claim that they had enough facilities (chairs) is nonsense. They showed bias in this case against the person of Bello. They were just waiting for any excuse to throw him out.

Then he shouldn't have given them one but he obviously cannot help himself

That lady should have taken another seat with all the empty seats there as claimed by the law school. What was so special about that particular seat?

Bello knew the seat was taken. He is the one that should have taken another seat but his village people were at it

They weren't fair on him but he should have avoided that situation.[/quote]They were more than fair to him but he was not fair to himself and others.

The guy seems to have unresolved mental issues. A normal person will not act such irrationally consistently. He couldn't even keep a clean sheet at the law firm he was attached to

shocked

I call atheists fools because the Bible says
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God..."
Psalms 14:1

Atheists are mistakes of environmental and cultural probabilism.
They are confused folks who think rejecting the rationality of a superior being would make them be considered as superior thinkers.

In a workplace, they should not be let to participate in any Spiritual deliberation before their godlessness brings the organization down.

Deep down even the atheist believe in something. They know there's a God but the arrogance of their human intelligence is their curse.
Very apt. Spot on.

I just yimu when someone says he or she is an atheist.

True! My baby is 7 weeks old and was getting used to sleeping on my body, she sleeps well but once I put her down, she won't stay up-to 3 minutes before screaming.
I stopped it overnight ,don't start what you can't continue with babies!

Guess the baby is use to much attention and too much 'gum body'
Congrats!! God bless your bundle of joy.
I love babies and i have always studied them. I took care of my sis baby when she resumed work and i gained experience..lol. You are really right...dont start what you can't continue.
There was a baby i met when i was in Ibadan. That one can hardly be dropped. It is constant carrying even when she is sleeping. The mother didnt get a lot of help from neighbours helping her babysit cos the baby was too much work. Your hand will pain u. I felt for the mum. I pray i learn and not make the same mistake out of love and excitement.

Dereformer:
Please, my advice is ignore anybody that advices to let the baby cry. Always give her attention. You can try carrying her while walking arround each time she satrts crying.

I know a lot of millionaires in lagos that are praying day and night for just a baby, and someone adviced you to let yours cry.
Crying never killed a baby. According to my neighbour, the child is trying to see if she is a soprano or tenor singer.
Children grow up to always wanting to have their way and throwing tantrums when they dont get it because of too much of allowing a lot of things slide. Whether or not billionaires are looking for children doesn't mean a child should be over indulged. The parents get to bear the brunt of it later. They cannot escape it.
My friend is suffering and complaining because she cannot even cook, bath or even breathe without her baby screaming to be carried. I told her to back her and take her bath.
Family › Re: My Baby Is Always Crying. Should I Ignore Her. by ImaIma1(f): 11:52pm On Jul 20, 2017
I know of a baby of about 11months that is the same way. It can be very frustrating. This one can cry for an hour nonstop. Her issue is that she wants attention...always wants to be carried. You can't even drop her and step into the kitchen or take your bath. She screams, shouts, cries uncontrollably, it is annoying. She just wants to see you around her or for you to carry her.
The problem was with too much carrying and "gumming" the baby to body everytime. From when they are born, you need to put them down to sleep on their own and play on their own as the grow up. When the baby gets used to being carried all the time, sleeping on your body all the time, stopping the habit after months will be hard.
As it is now, your options are...keep carrying and giving her attention or ignore her and allow her to cry it out. She will tire after a while.

All this "I need my Pastor's validation before I propose a woman" is bullcrap. And I see that only people with insecurity issues are usually fond of involving their pastors in things that can practically be solved with common sense

Some will even tell you according to their doctrine, your pastor is responsible for wooing a lady on your behalf. Soro niyen? undecided

Baba Adeboye said, shine your eyes when picking a wife and never let any pastor recommend a wife for you. He said the highest a pastor can do is to counsel you. Finish!!!
I feel it's guys that are close to the pastor that decide to tell him first. Because i don't see any reason telling the pastor that you are interested in a sister.
In my church, after you propose, u register for marriage counselling. That is where they get to know the couple and counsel them.
The only reason the pastor can kick against it at that point is if the man does not have a job or he feels they do not know each other well enough. In that case, they can postpone.

I still didn't get the reason why it happens. You did not hit the nail on the head. I think the reason giys suddenly become uninterested is because everything moved too fast and there is nothing to look forward to or tickle his fancy. He os a kind of person that has commitment issues because a long term relationship doesn't have to be exciting at the time.

And people get too critical; male and female. We expect too much from the other person. Our expectations are so high that the person will most likely fall short of all the parameters we have set.
A guy that loses interest quickly for no reason is a red flag. Run!

This is one of the reasons white are ahead of us, we cannot patiently sit our ass down and try to understand each other so we can move forward instead, we quick to insult people out of aggression especially for people who are different and weird. Despite the controversial nature of Kemi, I must say she is damn intelligence. I'm a medical personnel and I have been following this issue from the beginning and I must say that Kemi is right about that child. Seyi law needs to cool down his pride and act fast in other to save that child from the debilitating effects of diabetes. Believe me diabetes is deadlier than HIV. It is pity we blacks' sense of judgement is easily clouded with emotional reaction/retardiation. We cannot ignore the messenger and concentrate on the message. I hope the seyi laws don't regret this as kemi is showing genuine for that child but it is just that, it came out the wrong. You NLs can say all you want but Kemi is almost always right about things she says. It is just the way she says them. Peace!!
I am sure her parents are not ignorant of their child's condition. The fact that they haven't come out to tell the public doesn't mean they are nit taking action.
I atill believe that Seyi should protect his child from this unnecessary scrutiny and attack. It is getting too much.
