mikolo80: must you buy designers. Did you use pampers. No be something de before pampers Guy i have been baby shopping and i have not bought one single designer item and i can tell you that a family needs to be prepared financially. Even the list the hospital gives you for the necessary things you will need is not what a 20k monthly salary will support. Even if you use cloth napkin, you will still spend money to buy it and spend money to treat rashes often because u can be sure that with napkin comes rashes. I am a very practical and objective person. Before i go ahead with something, i weigh the options to avoid major problems later. Nobody likes to go around begging for assistance everytime. If it is once in a while, it is ok. Someone that earns 20k and wants to start a family should have another source of income. |

Thank God for my tribe and family. 4 of my older ones i call them by name even over 10years older. Even after they haf born. The respect is still there...not negotiable. Yorubas can call you aunty and insult your destiny. Kuku call me by name.
We don't kuku do "mummy Junior" or "mama Junior" after you have a child. We believe you still have an identity whether or not you have kids.
My mum calls her inlaws by name too. Greeting an elderly person is by hugging...no kneeling or prostrating. It is not a sign of respect for us(i tried it with my dad once and he thought i was not ok). They embrace you. Yoruba older people expect me to kneel and greet. I only courtesy. It is not my culture mbok. |

ecoeco: ...
B4 you all start coming here to blame the husband
It doesn't make sense 4 d husband to call her 4 settlement nd den kill her nd leave her private parts jst like dat
This is wat actually happened
Husband : calls wife into the room Wife: enters room(with facial expression of anger)
Husband : pls let us settle this matter i am sorry Wife: thats wat u always say nd den u do it again useless man
Husband : i said i am sorry(looking a bit angry) Wife : see ur mate ar living in 3 bedroom flat comfortably... But all u do is starve me nd d children in dis ur 1 room nd go around pursuing women with ur truck
Husband : (slaps wife) Wife : (screams)terkaa You will kill me today(rushes to the door, locks it, puts d key in her bra)
Husband : you are very stupid Wife : comes close to husband nd starts fighting him
They hand wrestle for bit...
Husband: (trying to avoid her blow) Wide: (seeing she's not inflicting enough pain, bites him on the hand deep)
Husband : ahhhh ( angrily starts beating up wife)
Wife : you will kill me today (breaks free frm husband, rushes to the cupboard, brings out a hammer)
Husband : lucy don't try me o lucy Wife: throws hammer at husband nd misses
Husband : rushes towards wife Wife: (seeing husband drawing close rushes to pick up an axe)
Husband : (seeing wife picking up axe, grabs her collects the axe pushes her to the floor) Wife : (stands up, rushes to the other end of the room nd picks up the second axe)
( Survival status kicks 4 both parties nd @ dis point anybdy can kill anybdy out of survival instincts)
Husband : hits wife first.... Sees his mistake.... Escapes frm the window
Underlining assumption : 1. The husband couldn't hav called her nd locked d door immediately
2. The husband couldn't hav used 2 axes nd a hammer jst to kill one woman
3 It has been proven that the female starts every domestic fight either by their words or action during conversation
4 99% of wat causes a quarrel btw a couple is either s*x related or money related
5. 99% of men will slap a woman who calls dem "useless ' or compares them to" their mates"
6. Since it's a 1 room apartment objects like axe nd hammer will be close @ any point in time
#Eco99# You better go and write a book. But why do you guys always turn it to be that it must be the woman's fault? Now that he has killed her in such a violent way, he has no excuse at all. He has just wasted his own life too. Men should think about the consequences they will face before doing stupid acts like this. |

Well, since he said he wasted 10 years of his life, I can't but agree with him. What's my own? It's his life, not mine. I think his point is that comedy doesn't come naturally to him. NwaAmaikpe:

A wise woman should know that men are not domesticated. She should have begged a female friend to fill in for her or gotten a young female help.
Men are wired to thrive outside the home front. Household chores are solely the responsibility of the wife.
A man might not be able to wash his own plates at home but he will toil and labour like a pig under the sun all day just to bring something back home.
Any man who washes dishes at home is a sîssy.
I dedicate my FTC to StephDamieola, Ishilove, Italianwine, YoungDaNaval and the new female househelp Ndifreke that I just got. She's the true reason for my absence. Yimu*...is that the lie you feed yourself? Wired indeed. You berra wake up and smell the coffee. Men are doing housework and it doesn't make them sissys. As a bachelor, does he live like a pig? I visited my friend/inlaw last week and i was inspired. He is a medical doctor and a bachelor. His fridge had different dishes for 2weeks..made by him. His house is organized. He has a fiancee but the guy dey try. She visits often but he doesn't leave everything for her to do. He even thought her how to cook most soups. His mum brought him up well not those mums that make the girls do all the work and treat the boys like king and master. Guy forget EGO. You just seem kinda lazy with an alibi or excuse to go with it. |

Is that marriage not cursed already from day one?
When no food to eat, everyone at home is angry. And the man will still want to fucvk his hungry looking bonga fish wife.
Mentality of some men never cease to amaze me.
I see some hungry looking married women and children. I just shake my head in wonder.
Those who are not hungry looking, some u see them going to hotels or coming to their married male friends or neighbor office to have short time and the yeye married man will dole out some cash to another mans wife wey hunger one nearly kill for house.
At the end, everyone come back home to deceive each other.
Before I use to be like, I wan marry O... I want marry!
But looking at the betrayals, hunger and shameless attitudes of some married people. Marriage sef no hungry me again. The whole feeling has been squashed down completely.

The worst evil I can do to myself is living in denial and abject poverty cause I want to bear Mrs?
God forbid We haven't even talked about feeding. Garri is 350 for a derica, rice is 280. Bottle of oil is about 500. And this kind of man will want to eat well o. At the end children will either go into prostitution to train themselves in school and the boys into armed robbery or yahoo yahoo
Some people sef Right! Except that 20k is dollars or pounds...but if it is naira, please and please no sane man should get married if he wants to have peace of mind and a good marriage. Money is the a major source of problems in marriages. Forget whether the woman is a slay queen or a meek village girl, marriage needs more than that to run. Imagine if the wife gets pregnant despite their being careful. She needs to go for antenatal, eat well, buy baby things, etc. what if her pregnancy is the difficult type and she has to be hospitalized? The man will be frustrated and be thinking all the time and going about begging for money and help. Time that should be invested in loving each other will be for shouting, throwing tantrums, thinking and even regretting. That is when any little thing will trigger anger and could lead to beatings. Marrying is not the ultimate goal in life. It is wickedness to get married with an income that is obviously not enough for one person. |

Victor won among the trio hands down, the sisters only sing good together, they don't seem to be strong individually. Victor was king of that jungle.
Voke won clearly, even though he's not at all a credible contender, he just competed with a very lazy lady. Maybe his height distracted me from listening to his voice.
Chris Rio is an enigma, he was rightly chosen, was also glad j'dess was saved.
For those who can't watch today, do check YouTube by midnight tomorrow. Highlight will be shown but nothing beats the full show.
I am beginning to love music. God bless
Sgt Ponzi Hater. I think Arewa did a better job. Age or not, her voice has more dexterity than the younger girl. She is able to sing deep and stretch her voice more. It's not her fault that maturity helped her. |

kingreign: 1990 Toyota Carina ii 2.0 GLi 4sp auto lift back.
When i returned from India, I decided to buy a small lift back which I could use to move around. I got myself a brown/gold coloured 1990 model Toyota carina ii 2.0 GLi for 450k, brown seats and brown dashboard, heated side mirrors, heated seats, I had to construct the A/C as there was none. It had alloy wheels and looked good it was a German market carina ii. I bought it, from a woman and took it home. Next day, I started the engine and it roared to life. Pushed the lever to R, the car surged backwards with speed, I slammed the brakes only to hear a groaning sound. Pushed to D, nothing R, nothing. I packed the car there. I travelled again and came back after 2months. I inspected the shafts and noticed balls on the tyre area (that time I was a novice with capital "L" who couldn't handle a spanner). I called a mechanic who checked it and told me shaft is bad, I have to replace both shafts as they were fake elcheapo eltawain shaft. I parted with 12K that day, he came with beljium shaft and installed them. He told me to shift R and D to check if they're working, I depressed the brakes and did that, on releasing the brakes, the flexible brake line on the driver's front tyre bursted. Spilling contents. 3k went out for brake pipes again.
2weeks later, I went to install a CD system LG 1 DIN with pioneer speakers and was feeling funky. I went to Suleja to flex my old babe. coming back, I started hearing a strange noise on the rear driver side tyre. I got to mechanic workshop, tie rod broke. No more steering control tyres were wobbling. 8K to purchase new tie rods, 2k for rubber booths, and 3K for one of the multilink arm on the rear (the previous arm was bent and the previous owner used dunlop slippers cut to act as rubber boot hence the noise and uneven driving). I was back on the road again. I went to APO to flex with my guys, as per I don show Naija na, night came I was returning home, I couldn't see my front. Hmmm. I managed to get home. Called my mechanic. He said reflectors in Headlamp is faded, we should get another one. 11k for one tokunbo 7k brand new taiwan, I picked 2 tokunbo for 22k. He installed it, it was out of alignment. He adjusted it but it was only slightly brighter than the previous units, he called a re-wire who installed a relay, the headlamp worked at last, I was glad. Hehehehe Night movement started again, lol! Only for rains to come and I discovered no wipers, they were wornout and producing noise. 1,200 naira a pair in front and 300naira for long piece on the rear. Nothing's gonna stop me from 'wakaing'. I discovered the motor started drinking fuel. Chai, called my mecho again, he removed sparkplugs, installed new ones 8K (2k a piece X 4), removed airfilter and bought another one 1500, then bought injector CRC cleaner, cleaned the intake butterfly valves. Poured some in the Vacuum line. Started the car to idle a while, then change oil, 3k oil filter 1k total 4K. Economy improved a bit. But still high consumption. Came back to him, he checked and discovered the Airflowmeter is bad. 15K for belgium part. Finally, it worked. My power windows acts as if they've got a mind of their own when rains come, they may not go up. But I had to manage them, I also found the wires on the power moonroof which was detached (the moonroof was sealed with mechanic's trademark black gum which I peeled off). Suddenly, my steering became stiff. I called my mecho, he said pump is failed. Bought tokumbo pump 7k it worked, I went to AMAC. On the road going, it became stiff again. I called him, he said 'when coming home branch my workshop'. On my way home I was doing 140km/hr on berger-nicon junction expressway, suddenly I slowed down to negotiate katampe bridge, steering locked, slammed the brakes, car swerved off the road, tipped over the bridge and landed face down into the deep gutter below. All the contents in the boot fell inside the passenger cabin. I had seatbelt so i wasn't hurt, I climbed down and called my mechanic. He went to find a hiab truck they said 70k to lift the damn car out of the gutter and place it on the road side. I said NO. I quarrelled with the mechanic, I told him I am no more working with him (beef mode active). Luckily, a blue hiab of FRSC was passing by, I waved him to stop, he helped me freely, I was glad. Someone came, with a knife, cut my rear seatbelt and used it as a tow rope tied to his car and towed mine to another mechanic shop. Headlamp broken, grille broken, front driver side suspension broken, brake cable cut, bumper broken, windscreen developed a line from top to bottom, fenders bent, transaxle broken, steering bad. Over 100K to replace them, new strut bought and yet it failed a week later due to a leak thus giving out the pressurized fluid, I opted for tokumbo struts 12k. I was foolishly determined and no one's gonna let me down. I got on the way from AMAC and drove to go see my babe in Bida poly smiley I never knew it was gonna be another epic wrong move filled the tank up and fired, on highspeed in excess of 160km/hr on kubwa-zuba expressway. Damn speed was sweet I was dusting all other cars on the road when suddenly I hit a pothole (Suleja, Lapai, to Bida was pothole infested then, I don't know of now) suddenly, my suspension gave way again, but I was not deterred, I must love up. Suddenly, a pre-facelift Honda Accord EOD (2003-2005) swept past, this act bruised my ego, in trying to catch up, the driver suddenly stepped on his brake and a petrol truck was coming ahead, I hit another pothole, my brakepad flew out, this gave me no room to maneuver, I rear ended that car and it was totaled. The boot, to the rear passenger was deformed badly. My front end again went bad. Another crack on my new windscreen, broken headlamp, broken grille, bumper. Suddenly another lorry from behind side swiped my Right side, a piece of sharp metal from the truck sank into my car's rear quarter slicing the metallic body work all thru the rear door area. the alhaji came out and looked at his car, looked at mine, and told me to go repair mine, he'll fix his. shocked smiley I was shocked and happy. I continued my mumu journey to Bida poly, stopped at the gate, called the babe, she say she was busy, can't attend to me. chai!
Ego bruised again, I kuku enter my kabu kabu jalopy, manage enter zuba, police check point. Them men in black wanted to start their story again. I vex tell them say make dem leave me, I need to go rest joor. Out of pity one of them met others and they let me go with my jalopy. Got to my old mechanic, he said, 'you don come again with your wahala'? I no fit answer. We fixed the car, 80K went from my pocket. Toks bumper (blue colour), toks struts, toks headlamps, toks grille, brake lines, pads, calipers, booster, disc and master (remember my brake pad fell off, I had to ride the car like that). welding and panelbeating the rear quarter and door area sliced thru. Immediately I fixed it, I put it up for sale, some dudes came, paid 300k cash, took it and travelled lol, wahala removed finally When they got to their destination, they started calling me. Fear no gree let me pick I finally summoned courage to pick after many missed calls from them only for them to tell me I don't know what I sold to them for such a cheap amount. If only I knew, I won't had sold it so cheaply. Mumu people
Mehn, because of that car I learn mechanic by force, and all the chukuwdi, nonso and spareparts dealers for kubwa and zuba come know me as customer.
