He needs to be disciplined and gradually he will know his place. If you keep saying he is just a child, he will grow up with that attitude.

A lot of Nigerian parents raise their kids to be timid: to scared to go into the world and mingle. They are too protective when the child is growing up...wanting them to sit at home.
I worked in 2 different places before i went to university. During holidays, i worked also. Before going for service, i worked. I just wanted to have small change and not always asking my parents or older ones for cash. And it also helped build a network of people.
My parents allowed us to mix up with people not protecting us from the world. Parents should learn.

Poster there are many things you can do. Mingle with the right people, package yourself well. God will see you through.

It takes a lot more to be in a long distance relationship. There has to be more calls, keeping in touch, etc. If you don't have that, you have to reconsider because it is bad enough that u cant see him, not to add the silence and uncertainty.

step outside the picture your current situation paints right now and you will see ur current issues are surmountable, even minuscule compared with the great life you got ahead of you if only you'd embrace possibilities instead of negativity-thinking and quit the brooding self-desturcitive soliloquiys.

Once heard the story of a fella, who in this type of your situation sat down and dis his own SWOT analysis. It looked so bleak he decided first and foremost to guarantee steady meals and a little t/fare at least to keep life ticking. Hence, he went to look for work as a server-boy in a buka, you're getting the flow of the gist wink, right?

He would eat there, get paid there, made friends there amongst the customers, cut a distincitvely stylish/bubbly/dependable brand for himself there to the point that, when opportunity arose for the Edo-madam was to travel out to Italy to go meet her oyinbo oil-comp expat lover, he was able to raise venture capital on partnership basis from one of the most affluent clients, who he'd been catering for on the side be4, to buy over the place.

That was the secret of his rise. But, that rise start right from the moment he decided not to get jettisoned offship when bottoms-fell-out; guy, look up, look around and you'll see more you're yet to do, take and make!

And pls, don't scam anybody o; slows ur roll and invites bad karma for you to stay struggling longer. Engage true creativity/sincerity, expect God to fight ur battles or kuku go join evans and wait for your future day of shame, no middle lines!

Personally, I think this reasoning is flawed. If someone dislikes you due to a misinformation they have, you might want to disabuse that misinformation without being defensive. I think he is doing exactly that.

Someone said his Pastor encourages sin or what not and you want him to keep mum because you (who clearly has reservations about his pastor) said nothing?

I think the Bible encourages one to contend for the faith that they profess.
You think? Ok. Let him continue to respond to everyone

You are sounding like you want to believe what was written by the OP without hearing an alternative view point from a CE member. I think this already makes your position tainted.

From what I can see here, he feels that some misconceptions need to be redressed and you on the other hand would wish he stayed mute.
When you have to answer everyone and play defender, it already shows something fishy.
I have had my share of CE. It doesn't really matter what i think. My close friend for a long time was a member and even if i had my reservations, i kept it to myself just like i have done here.

There is only one way, and its not GO this, or daddy that, or apostle whomever. I think many genuine Christians get lured into seeking the easy way out, and fall prey to control by powerful personalities. Remember that the same Jesus that commanded legions of angels washed his disciples feet, not as a ritual for everybody to see in church, but as an instruction of how leaders and shepherds are supposed to be among the flock. If there is any takeaway from these stories, it is to develop and be sure of your personal faith even while fellowshipping with other believers. So that when you see error, you can either correct in love if need be, or leave silently in love if you want to avoid strife.

Above all else, dont let anyone guilt you into giving beyond your faith level. Whatever you do outside of your faith is a waste of your time and resources. If all you can give is 1buck every offering (I have been there), stay there and grow your faith by staying in the Word until you can give 10 bucks, then give 10 bucks. Whatever principle gets you from1 to 10 bucks, will get you to 100bucks. But its going to be your faith primarily...regardless of how many shepherds try to guilt you into giving sacrificial seed angry

ok let me stop b4 i get pissed
A comment full of God's wisdom, understanding, intelligence and insight.
Our pastors are there not to be worshipped. I don't understand the level of mental and spiritual laziness that some people have that leads them to follow pastors sheepishly. When these pastors are human.

CE fanatics...pls allow Pastor Chris answer to God himself and stop acting like people that have to fight for their "god".

first of all, i am not a hypocrite. I only brought that up to make it known to you that there are some of us here that are just too big for you and the whole of CE.

No, i don't do hypnotism and from what i know, hypnotism is not bad, atleast not more than Jesus walking on the face of water.

I can talk about pst chris however i feel like and there is nothing you can do about it apart from telling me that i am playing with fire. And yes, i play with fire all the time, a thing you fear alot and think people should not play around. The fact i play with fire all the time, means that i am greater than fire myself and by consequence, your pastor chris.

Look here, whats happening with you guys with your almost fanatical behaviour whenever you hear a perviebed bad things about CE, is not new. The vatican 1 catholics were like that until the church had to reform things and today's post vatican 2 catholics are not as fanatical anymore.

We have seen it before and we know how your style fanaticism ends. We know what will become of it, and that's why we keep engaging you. Your most automatic fanaticism will be diluted one day.

Jesus had a desciple called SIMON THE ZEALOT. So it is nothing new. All philosophical and theological organizations will always have your likes.
In summary, it is called brainwashing.

Just look at the way he responds to everyone defending the church and pastor. It is really pitiful. He has to justify every point, explain everything. Some of us have lost our sense of reasoning and intelligence.
Pastor Chris is a mere mortal that makes mistakes too. Let us look up to God and not man.

You should search and study the scriptures for yourself and understand things instead of gulping down everything you are told.

I don't engage in "Christian" arguments. That is not what Christ died for our sins for.

If you feel a need to argue and prove your point, something might be wrong somewhere.

My people call it "etok syndrome". Etok means small.

When people just like to think small as if they dont intend to move up. No ambition.

Madam, nobody will employ you in order for you to spite your husband. Business is not a family affair.

Someone said your husband is a useless man... as bad as that sounds, I think a lot of persons here will agree with him whether they come boldly to say it or not.

You were gainfully employed for 8 years, yet he doesn't see any good in you? This isn't about contract or not. Even some full staff don't stay 8 years on a job. Statistics even show that 95% of new businesses shut down before the 5th year of operation, so something is seriously wrong with your husband..

It has nothing to do with being employed or not. He just doesn't love you anylonger, so do everything to make yourself feel good! Your husband should simply go and solve his problems... he should not infect you with his personal issues.. you have to tell him to pour his frustration elsewhere, refuse to be a waste bin that contains his trash... speak these words loudly, he'd have a rethink.
Exactly!! Focus on making yourself happy. Your husband has his issues that he has to deal with

Children are impressionable. They pick up things. If you call each other by name, the child might do same. But as the child grows, it changes.

Sad one...
Now we understand your grievance.

Op, you can help us champion the case.
Someone has to bell the cat.
The women that beat their helps are wicked...
The men that watch their wives batter their helps,
What do we call such men?
It is based on the character of the woman involved. You can't use one to judge all.
I grew up in a home where we had helps and cousins staying with us. I do not remember my mum beating or maltreating them. Even after they moved on, they came visiting my mum for one thing or the other. Even with all the helps, we the children were still doing housework.

And my mum didn't pitch herself against us when it came to our dad. We understood that they were a team and we couldn't come between them. I don't really understand a mum being jealous of her kids. It's absurd.

And when it came to beating,my dad was the champion with his koboko. My mum used a sewing tape rule but she preferred to talk or punish.

So families really differ.
