How many wealthy families in Nigeria really know how to raise boys to become men? What you get are over pampered boys in men's bodies. It takes getting married to one to realize that the wife is probably a babysitter to an adult. But poverty won't let many ladies see beyond the wealth and fame. Sometimes marriage is used as an attempt to instil some level of responsibility in these boys.

Check how much of Nigerian wealth goes into 2nd or 3rd generation. When the patriarch dies, the offsprings squander his wealth because they were never raised to be hunters. Everything they needed were provided for them.

Irrespective of what you use, the biggest drawback is that everybody is chasing the most important thing after life known as money in an unregulated environment. So we are bound to see the best, the worst and the ugliest coming to the battlefront to fight for money. It rarely ever ends well. You will NEVER see Raji Fasholas pictures as he commissions any other projects in igboland after 8 years as the Works Minister, apart from the commissioning of The Ziks mussoleum and of course this highly over dramatized Second Niger bridge! Do your research! Fashola did nothing in the South East. All the roads he pretended to be working on since 2015 are still being worked on as we speak. Infact, State governors in the East have now taken over the construction of federal roads over there while the federal government is busy doing road projects in Niger republic!

I am not a fan of APC. But they have done more for SE than the 16 years of PDP.

1). 2nd Nigeria bridge (I don't care about who commissioned it but who completed it. Afterall Lagos-Ibadan expressway was commissioned about 30 years ago and they are still playing hide and seek on that route).

2). Enugu - PH expressway. Once you depart from Enugu (especially the dreaded Lokpanta axis) all the way to Aba, the road is well constructed.

Other than appointing people with Igbo last names who lined their personal pockets, what exactly did PDP do for the SE in terms of infrastructure? A serious government will commission and finish a major project in 8 years. It took the maneuvers of Atiku this year to wake them up from slumber and stop the silly blind loyalty.

I’ve been seeing some marriage lists with insane requirements running into millions of naira on the internet lately and there’s something that actually interests me about it.

In the generations of our ancestors when this lists were curated, 99% of the brides then were virgins and have never known any man, in fact it was a taboo traditionally to give out a non virgin wvman as a bide then.

Over the years civilization have changed alot of things where wvmen feel they’re now more powerful and have grown beyond being accountable to their families and can literally do whatever they like with their lives and bodies.

At this point, I think it’s fraudulent for families to keep insisting that non virgin wvmen should keep enjoying the same traditional marriage benefits as older generational virtuous wvmen that kept their virginity for their husbands.

The government and traditional leaders need to look into this critical issues, non virgin wvmen should be given out in marriage for a token or for free, while virgin wvmen should keep enjoying the full traditional marriage rites of previous generations.

These is the only way we can hold our wvmen accountable and also encourage them to become like the biblical virtuous wvmen like Esther and Rebecca.

As a man, I will feel cheated if I have to pay millions of naira to marry a non virgin wvmen, exactly the same amount of money and expenses that my father paid for my mum as a young fresh virgin wvmen in the early 90s.
