Badgers14: Oga Spyder880, yes this is getting unnecessarily out of hand and it shouldn't have.
I have read comments here people saying apologize to who? Who gives a hoot about an apology? Speaking for myself, I care less about that.
I don't believe no one was expecting the davodguy to roll on the floor and throw his hands up in the air asking for apology.
If you go back to how this started, the meaning of his posts could go both ways depending on individual reading it.
It makes one wonder , what his original intentions were? If someone think there message is being misunderstood, what stops them from chiming in and say, aye folks I don't know where this is heading but this weren't my intention, I was just trying to bring to everyone attention to be careful out there regardless of the tribe you are dealing with.
Some people might call this an apology, some might say it is a clarification of one's position. Either way, this would have ended long before it started and issuing a clarifying message is not unusual in this climate to make sure your message wasn't distorted or misunderstood. / We went to school and studied English Comprehension for a reason. Davidoguy or (whatever his handle is) labelled Igbo traders as habitual scammers. It is called deductive reasoning. While we call for truce, let's not try to downplay his insult which was loud and clear. My position remains that he needs to work on himself and fix whatever is troubling his personal life. / |

/ The best advice to any lady is to settle down before 25. It is only later in life that she will enjoy that decision. She will be the envy of her peers.
Even a man who abandoned his kids will start looking for them when he clocks 40. There is a reason for that.

HandsomeBlack: You made very salient points here. Honestly, a lot of men do feel insecure around successful women. You will hear things like: "Oh, is it because of this your work/business that you're disrespecting me?" To be fair, it takes special wisdom, diligence and maturity to balance work and and family (home keeping) responsibilities for women. I'm not excusing wives from their responsibilities though. / The key lies in the bolded not the work/business. So asking not be disrespected is insecurity? Or do you think only successful ladies are disrespectful? / |

HandsomeBlack: Hmmm. A rich guy can come from abroad and head straight to marry a semi-educated girl in the village. Same is not true for the ladies. An educated and/or financially independent lady will seldom marry a man who has not attained her level of academic/financial status. Naturally, she desires to marry a man that is higher than her in status or at least in same status with her. Unfortunately, most African husbands can't stand the guts of a wife that is better than them academically or financially because the later will revolt the traditional headship and control exercised by the former, thereby bruising his ego often. / Good educational or financial status cannot guarantee peace of mind which is what most men look for in marriage. No man wants to turn his home into a battleground. Women think men are insecure around successful ladies Usually those are women who read too many magazines written by women. Men are looking for "mothers" of their children and not a jet-flying lady who barely has time for the homefront. No man wants his children to be raised by househelps or a nanny. Why marry in the first place? He is better off with a babymama then. Men want to go back to home not a house. Sadly some women realize this a tad too late in life. A smart lady should get married between 20- 25 years. It will be more difficult at 26-30 and downhill above 30. Above 35? It is over! Even Shiloh cannot help them. / |

It is like comparing Lexus vs Toyota. If I were to advise him, I'd suggest Lexus/Toyota. A retiree shouldn't touch BMW X5 especially the 4.8L or 4.4L engines.
