There is nothing wrong with taxation as long as the government provides conducive environment for businesses to thrive. Nigeria ain't got such government. It is morally wrong and illegal to pay tax to such a wasteful government.

Government is free to make repressive laws. More blame goes to the citizens who bend over backwards to obey such nonsense laws. Did people learn anything from #EndSARS protests? Power belongs to the people.

This is why it is wise to hold the state and local government politicians accountable instead of expending all powers barking at Abuja. What are our state governments doing with their monthly allocations? Challenging Buhari should be secondary but we love to hold logic upside in SE.
If Ngige and Obi could do it without prodding from Abuja, there is no reason the "inebriated one" shouldn't be able to pay pension as at when due.

It will be imposed with force, all these were per-calculated and with the complicity of the political class. The ignorant ones will be first to take it and they will be applauded then the others will be made to look like threats when they refuse to take it, mark my words an ID of sort will be provided for anyone that took it and those that refuse to take it will have their access to many services denied. eventually force will have to be applied. the black man is doomed.
/
We know.

Talk to any trusted and qualified health professionals. The ones here have vowed not to take it nor let a loved one take it.

I love how they are using Okonjo Iweala to market it. Slavery was very successful because of the connivance of local chiefs. Want to cage people? It is best to use someone with "integrity" that looks and talks like them. That's why celebrities are used for advertisements. Hero effects!

Covid-19 poses no threat to Nigerians as people have been going on their normal business activities. But as always, people will fall for the mass hysteria created by the media and unscrupulous western politicians. Any healthy person in Nigeria who is idiotic enough to get the vaccines (or do I say play a guineapig) deserves whatever comes his or her way.

They thought people would be dropping like flies in Africa and it didn't happen. Now they want to introduce some vaccines for some virus that our bodies were able to defeat naturally.

Don't blame them.

Blame the moronic masses that they let this go on while their lives and well-being are being sacrificed on the altar of political expediency.

Nigeria can never be well until their is a mass free for all at the National Assembly--people run over there and beat them to stupor. Make Nigerian politicians watch their backs and see things change positively overnight.

Romance › Re: I Need Advise On What To Do About A Controversial Girlfriend by InvertedHammer: 7:32pm On Dec 09, 2020
Hushbingo:
This girl is a very beautiful lady which i know would have lots of suitors on her head. I never even intended dating her until she converted our friendship to relationship.

When we started, i noticed her incessant calls and had to complain about them which got reduced with time. In most cases, i would bring up issues pertaining to her having an affair with some of those people which she would discard and even get angry enough as to quarrel with me.
So, because of the texts and calls she was getting i became suspicious and one evening when i read a text from a guy addressing her as "baby and luv" i finally vented my anger, she strolled out that evening while i waited at home, later on, i took her phone, old phone which she barely uses, i turned it on and went through her Whatsapp messages, it was then that i discovered she has had an affair with a boss she was working for and even got messed up without her salary being paid for that month.

Not just that, other guys too have had their pounds of flesh. I was messed up that evening because this lady would insist we have sex without condom. So messed up that when she came, for the first time in my life, i layed my hands on a woman and slapped her so bad, I even beat her till she was unconcious and when she finally gained conciousness, she started begging and explaining, she even pretended like she wants to drink hypo bleech due to heart break.

To cut the long story short, i got other texts too from guys in her phone, one in particular sent her "are we still seeing today ?" Which she told me she never made any arrangement with the guy.
Well, i have invested much on this girl and i don't want to let her go like that, she had turned me to a brutal guy. I don't know what to do, i don't want to break up with her because she would just shift to another guy the next day, so I need advise on the best medicine for this kind of lady.

See all the time you are investing in a girl owned by the community. Tomorrow you will blame an innocent uncle in the village for your poverty.

Every man is hustling to upgrade in this Buhari time. But your major problem is a girl.

hector:
I am 32. I am planning to move overseas- America, Canada, Europe or Australia in that order. But I'm seriously considering settling down before I turn 35 or at most 35. My problem right now is having to decide if getting married before i travel will be a better idea considering how uncertain things might be for a new immigrant.

I can be skeptical towards ladies, very selective and reserved. So I want to hear your suggestions please..

I don’t think people are complaining about the bride price. The problem is the infamous list in which all the kindreds get together, write all their problems in life and hand it over to a suitor to purchase. grin grin

spyder880:
Good morning Sir, please comment on the house design, what do you think should change because both me and the owner are not very satisfied with what the architect did here. My client has suggested adding another long window in the front right hand side, making it 2 windows, I agreed with the idea, we are going to reduce the width of the cantilevered balcony on the right, and maybe add to the other balcony at the front left.

I am also looking to change the look of this house to make it come alive more. Welcome Sir.
/

It is bland and has the look of a warehouse than a contemporary residential house. More ventilation necessary. If I were to advise, I will stop work and give the original design back to Phildecasa or Sochdesign to modify. Not late at all. But that's just my opinion. It is not my wallet.

2 pillars and send down the rain? POP wall mouldings? Brick tiles? They will put these three examples on anything called house....until they are played out.

Yes I created it in Culture section because it seems to be our way of life. grin

How do Nigerians do it?

They are always on time for a movie at the cinema, but never for appointments, lectures, occasions, trainings...etc

In fact, it is now an aberration to be an early bird. I looked like the odd one out sometime ago because I was right there on time. A meeting scheduled for 9am, there I was by 8:42am and no one in sight but the speaker. They started trooping in one after the other. It took us about 90mins to get a reasonable number, just enough to start the meeting.

Today something similar repeated itself.

It is so annoying. Don't they have clocks or what? Why are many Nigerians not time conscious?

I have only attended very few public events that actually started on time with a reasonable number of people. We have to wage a war against this menace called African Time.

Why is this man never seen with the top leaders of PDP if he is vying under the party? Why are they dissociating from him? The state party executives only come around only when he pays them?

It is always these nameless hustlers pushing him around in Abuja and Lagos, sometimes in obscure places. The PR stunt is beginning to look sad. I smell confusion. One thing is to have ambition, another is to have the slightest clue how to achieve the goal. I hope he is enjoying his vacation well. Country hard. Car Talk › Re: I Am Considering DIY Car Painting, What Do You Think? by InvertedHammer: 1:19pm On Dec 06, 2020
adanny01:
So, my car is about 6yrs and the paint is in bad shape, thats apart from scratches and dents by family and friends.

The plan is to buy an electric spray gun (see image below), sanding discs for electric drill, buffer for electric drill, paint, thinner, clear coat, primmer, scotch tape and old newspapers. The panel beating will be done by competent panel beater.

My motivation is lack of funds to contract the best services for the job. Also, the cheap ones will not do a good job. I paid 30k for my sister's car last year but at this time, my car painted 6yrs ago is far better off.

From my reading, the main work in painting a car is the preparation (sanding precisely). Actual painting does not take more than 5hrs but the preparation will take days - weeks to get it right. I know if I Do-It-Myself, it will come out better. The only part I am scared of is the actual painting i.e getting right viscosity and colour.

Challenges:
- I am not sure if the electric spray gun will be adequate. The main decision is buying the spray gun.
- The Spray gun itself cost more than half of the budget but if successful, I may do 2 other projects which will eventually be the cost advantage.
- I have no experience in paint mixing or thinning
- I am also afraid of the job being too tedious or that without a garage cover, dust may make the job bad.
/
Avoid overspray and run on paints.

After a week, then buff and wax.

Your result should be better than most average paint jobs in Nigeria.

My Oga, the disparity in price of Cement indicates that the hike is not from producer(s). A dealer told me this week that the middle men/distributors are the ones driving this particular crazy price. He confirmed that prices is still N2300-N2450 from producer. Someone corroborated it on a forum this week that a friend of his has made over N10m from this 'madness'.
So let's excuse the FG and talk to ourselves. We're bunch of greedy and callous people.

The government has its numerous shortcomings too o and we won't stop talking about them.
/
Don’t blame the people. Blame the FG!

People will always find ways to cheat. That’s why government is necessary to maintain decorum. If people are able to self-regulate, there won’t be need for Customs, Police and other LEAs. The FGN has failed in her responsibilities to protect consumers from hoarders and profiteers. Do you remember when they used to seal fuel stations that set their meters in a way to cheat customers or were selling by very wide margins? That’s what government is for not just building flyovers and moving in convoys. Even in the sanest of all climates, people are still working out ways to cheat the system.

Fact is that Nigeria is on autopilot. What did Buhari achieve in his first term that all you voted him back in for 2nd term? When folks were prancing around shouting 4+4, didn’t they realize that every decision has consequences? You can’t plant mango and expect to harvest pineapple. Garbage in, garbage out. We are all living the consequences and it will be idiotic to complain.
