CaptainG00D:/ We are both speculators. Will you marry someone you are not proud of? She is single. / |
/ With all these commotions, shouldn't a real President cut short his vacation and be back in the country to take charge? Nigerian is cursed with bad leadership goaded by bad citizens. That's why a seasoned investor should be diversified. I suggest limiting exposure to Nigeria to only 20%. / |
/ If Saraki were to be Igbo, he would have been impeached long time ago spearheaded by other Igbo senators. Go figure! / |
/ The only good news here is that he is being detained by SARS. I expect to see him champion #EndSARS in future after they must have finished dealing with him. Yep. That's how quickly power changes hands. Ask Mugabe. Buhari should be careful. / |
Public officers don't know what is patriotism. Their loyalty lies with the President instead of the Constitution/Institutions. Just take a look at how FBI and Special Counsel Mueller have been hounding Donald Trump. Our Investigative arms of Law Enforcement only take orders from the President before they act. Quite absurd! We only like to copy silly things. / |
/ Military coup is brewing.... 2nd return of Buhari may end like the first one. / |
/ Cry me a River! A good counter measure will be to initiate impeachment against Buhari. Will it work? Probably not. But that will keep him on his toes. Saraki screwed up big time and defending Buhari in the Senate has turned around to bite him. Saraki should understand that there is no loyalty in Nigerian politics. If APC needs 70 signatures, they will get it. The last senators to append their signatures will definitely get the highest offer. / |
CaptainG00D:/ Is there another definition of "bastard"? Bastard: A child born out of wedlock. / Cc: tatethem |
/ They should impeach Saraki. For the past few years, he protected Buhari each time impeachment was mentioned on the floor of the Senate. Like Atiku who didn't bite OBJ when he had the clout, Saraki will learn that when the king runs mad, he kills the kingmakers first. / |
/ Every snake is a pastor in Nigeria. And there is no short supply of ladies/women that patronize them. / |
/ Advice ke? Online? From Nigerians? ![]() Linda Ikeji, Tonto Dike, Toke Makinwa give some advice to ladies everyday online. Remarkably, they always end up doing the opposite of everything they advised these young girls. Nigerians and hypocrisy are inseparable. They should come with warning labels. Adhere at your own peril. / |
/ 23-years old with tattoos. What a surprise?! / |
/ Many women are married and take the youngest child from her family to live with her husband. They train the children up to university level and heaven didn't break. How someone will treat his step-daughter as an outcast beats me. She is a sister to your kids by blood and you cannot wish that away. / |
AmoryBlacq:/ Na! Reading the narrative, one can deduce that he walked himself into a mess. Why can't people stay away from unnecessary problems? It is not machismo but foolishness. Some guy was asking if he should take his step-daughter back? He may win today. But the day the wife will be backed to the wall, he will be dead. / |
helpee:/ Nobody wins custody battle. The court goes for equal parenting and will allocate support based on time spent with the kid(s), income and other factors. I mentioned ground for loss of custody by either parent. Keep deluding yourself. / |
helpee:/ A mother should raise her young child (in this case, a female) which is why the court usually grants custody to women unless the biological mother is incapacitated, which is not an issue in this case. In which court does a step-mother get custody over a biological mother who has no known history of psychological/drug/ETOH abuse problem(s)? Simple. Keep writing epistle. OP should do whatever he wants. Whatever comes out of it, he should deal with it. It is his decision and no amount of pro or against his decisions debate can change his mind. His problem, if you ask me. / |
/ So someone here thinks that a 7-yrs old girl will be better taken care of by his dad instead of the mother? OP: You cannot wriggle out of this one. Too many kids here on NL. / |
/ I was up for #EndSARS until I remembered the miscreants with tattoos. We need SARS. / |
SIRTee15:/ She will marry someone that accepts all her children, they live off of his asset happily ever after. Or be a die-hard single mother of 4 beautiful children. Do you know what kills all the men? Don't mess with who prepares your food. E no go pass otapiapia. I will be checking on this guy. Dem don dey discuss his matter for yonder. I can smell it. If I were the OP, I will start sleeping in a different room, locked and all the kitchen knives locked away. / |
buygala:/ There are many houses in Banana Island. People hear about Dangote, Otedola, Ms Ikeji, P square but nobody seems to care about the other nameless and faceless fellas that live there too. Some wealth choose to remain silent and in my opinion, that's the best life. // |
/ If you don't bring the girl in, your wife may start resenting you. But that won't be a problem, na small otapiapia for soup go settle am. Patapata, they will blame your enemies or an old uncle in the village. You will lose at the end for rejecting her daughter. Mark my words. Don't forget the quote: A happy wife is a happy life. / |
Zizza:/ That's why it costs 5x to remove them as it costs to put them on. Ever heard of money miss road? Some people never believed that they would amount to anything until Providence smiled on them. 50 cents tried to clean his own. But then debating with a Nigerian will always end with "how much money someone has". Is that what matters? I am waiting for slut walk in Nigeria because Amber Rose did it in US. We are not more Western than Americans. Yet US law enforcement still profile people using tattoos. The hideous tattoos you see in Nigeria are scorpions, snakes, cross, all connoting some kind of cult affiliation. Nail them to the cross. I will bring the hammer. / |
Ugosample:/ Copy [good]other things from Asians and Americans first... Then we can deal with tattoos later. I think SARS are not doing enough on this tattoos and braid matter. If you get am and no get anything meaningful doing in life, Dem suppose hold the person. Na criminal. / |
EgunMogaji:/ Interesting! Then and again, no study has shown that you are normal. / |
/ After dilapidated buildings, the next sign that you have entered a poverty-ridden neighborhood is that just about everyone has tattoos. Yoruba call them agbero, English call them touts, white folks call them white trash and in African-American lingo, they are called hood rats. Of course, I expect Nigerians to fight to copy the wrongs from other cultures. Will they fight for scientific innovations, education, environment, electricity? No. The fight must be in support of braids, sagging, tattoos and other nonsense that adds no values to anything. // |
NairalandFAYOSE:/ I believe that you are naturally wicked. Are you telling me that you cannot train another person's child? But in this case, a child of your present wife. I cannot believe what I just read. A girl needs her mother to guide her through teenage years. I guess you already know what the future holds for you. You think you are better than those families that get wiped out in a single accident? I wish there is a way around it because I will advise your wife not to bring the girl close to a devil like you because you fit the profile of someone who will kill or maim a step-child with the level of hatred in your soul. / |
/ He should come on nairaland. / |
/ How possible is it to put a lien on FG's foreign reserve and use it to settle the debts? Who knows? / |
/ I had warned folks here on NL about impending danger before it happened. Be it relationships, MMM, crypto currency, etc. They thought they knew better until few months later when they came back with Lamentations about their ordeals. Do you want to open a dorm account with First Bank Nigeria? Go for it. I will be waiting for your Lamentations in due time. // |
3rdavefarms:/ First bank is terrible. $2000 mysteriously disappeared from my account without a trace. The account was debited but the recipient did not get it. It took 8 months to be rectified. I had to make another payment while their bs investigations lasted....very frustrating. It turned out First Bank screwed up. It was just one of many frustrating moments I had with First Bank Nigeria. Oh! And the run arounds. Not on my dime. The whole process sounds sweet when they explain it but good luck banking with them. If you don't use the account in 6 months, the account will be dormant. Really? 6 months? And you have bring it all kinds of paperwork, id, etc to reactivate it. Who has time for that nonsense in this day and age? First Bank is hopeless. The only people I will ever advice to open dormiciliary accounts with First Bank are folks that I hate and detest. But since I don't keep enemies, FB ain't get any referrals from me ever. / |
sarrki:/ LOL @ Nigerians. Rudderless set of human beings. As the wind blows, they follow. I won't be surprised say na the same crowd wey been dey follow Kanu be this. Tomorrow when dey enter market go buy rice, Dem go begin curse Buhari. / |
