/ Forget the aerial views, these are what I saw in Owerri, Imo state. Someone has the most recent pictures and are exactly as depicted: https://www.nairaland.com/4693174/imo-lg-election-hold-saturday As I stated before, it is better witnessed than told. Okorocha is the worst thing that happened to Imo State. By the grace of God, nothing will ever take me to Owerri again. Okorocha has his shortcomings. But when someone like Abagworo comes online to lie about the rot in Imo state, it leaves much to be desired and gives credence to the saying that blacks are their worst enemies. // |
N120k to get N100k equivalent in N200 notes is ridiculous. // |
NigerArea:/* Very sad ...and Hajimesaito is hoping someone with two heads (whites or Asians) come out with one that can project holograms. Perhaps, he should add it to his prayer points. Black people sef! */ |
lastempero:/ This is the only plausible explanation. // |
/ Before you celebrate... We need the smartest workers' list not hardworkers. Land diggers and truck pushers are hardworkers too. Smart workers will be inventors and innovators. We know who will populate such list. Now that's what matters. / |
/ Leave your bonnet open? You will drive away rats but invite other kinds of rats. One group chew wires while the other make parts disappear. / |
/ It means your are wiser. Your eyes have opened to the marketing gimmicks of oyibo people. You can never win bc every year will be a near design. Na you go spend tire. N450k phone last year becomes N60k this year if lucky. A good investment could have doubled that money within the same period. Who exactly are people trying to impress? / |
Iamkuttie:/ Make sure you call her before 4pm... That way you won't disrupt her overnight date with her boyfriend. / |
/ The day in the life of an Ogun state millionaire. / |
famosh:/ What is the ideological difference between APC and PDP? I mentioned Buhari as a candidate and not the party--party is inconsequential in Nigerian politics especially when one can be an APC member on Monday and PDP member on Tuesday. / |
/ This is a litmus test of the gullibility of an average Nigerian. Isn't it disheartening to witness how quickly opinions are swayed with empty promises? An empty promise of N50k elicited jubilation and "Sai babaism" even when there has been no alert and worse, when it came from a source notorious for empty promises. Buhari will promise heaven and Earth in 2019 knowing that he is dealing with morons. They will retain him and use the next 4 years to add to their regrets. People do not pay attention to the folks campaigning for Buhari. Some of them have vested interests while others have direct access to foreign nations. When the ship starts to sink, Murtala Mohammed airport and off they go till next time. / |
/ Employment my foot. This is why many would rather die abroad than spend a dime to invest in Nigeria. The most they do is just build a house which offers only temporary employment. Provide permanent job in Nigeria? Better use that money on vacation and enjoy yourself. Only Nigerians in Nigeria can salvage the situation when they wake up from slumber. / |
jesmond3945:/ Did you just travel? E be like say this your Europe dey shack you. The church is packed on Sunday. Do they go to church Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday like most idle suckers do in Nigeria? / |
/ See as internet trolls forced Ogbonna to get rid of his braids. He looks better and responsible now. / |
/ The main difference between oyibo and Africans is that in times of extreme government persecution, oyibo people do not bend over and take it. Many states in US have tried to implement ban on guns but the citizens resisted vehemently under 2nd Amendment rights. Push comes to shove, one person will take one for the team. Nigerians will ask, " why will I die for others to enjoy. It is better we all suffer together". And here we are. / |
/ Getting caught in the moment and spraying money is one thing, sleeping well at night after the occasion is another. Some of those spraying may end up counting ceiling at night with occasional tossing and turning. / |
jesmond3945:/ That woman is one of the best Christians. The people that brought Christianity to Africa do not spend the amount of time Africans stay in churches. If you think they got it wrong, why are their societies progressing while the overtly religious Africans remains in squalor. It is self-deception at best. / |
It is pointless to apologize. God does not lie. False prophecy is just a confirmation of a false prophet. Whoever continues to follow them thereafter is mocking God and cannot claim ignorance. // |
/* The moment in life when you expect someone with poverty mentality to lead you out of poverty. Nemo dat quod non habet. */ |
/ I just like how these septuagenarians are plotting for the future without factoring in death. It is possible that some of then may not see 2023. / |
sleemfesh:/ Disappointed at NLers. I was hoping someone would say, "picture of the inside of the bags or I don't belive it" / |
Donald95:/ With the exception of saharareporters and Premium Times, who else is willing to stick out his neck? They just want to collect their salaries. Don't worry about those jubilating over OPD III. Less than 3 months after Omenkalives advocated for annihilation of SE, his home state turned into a land of massacre. More blood flowed in Benue state than the entire time OPD II lasted in the SE. Nigerians are only against evil when they are the victims. But within Nigeria, it is a turn by turn event. Would anyone in the North ever believe that there would ever be a time when Muslims will be bombing mosques? They thought it was impossible until Boko Haram showed up. SW folks may be rejoicing today but tomorrow is unpredictable. Their turn may be around the corner. It is a matter of time. / |
Metuh:/ Who is in APC? Who is in PDP? An honest answer to these questions will show you where the problems lie: The masses. / |
FarahAideed:/ It is impossible for anyone who hasn't crossed overseas to understand that Lagos is a pile of dung. It is like a one-eyed man among the blinds. Falana is playing to the gallery. He knows that the statement is a fact. / |
Ioannes:/ Watching too much TV is detrimental to the brain. Some cannot differentiate between fiction and reality. / |
/ Good thing he made the statement in the land of educated illiterates cum morons else he is doomed forever. Using Hitler's analogy in politics is the most wicked statement any politician can make. If PDP members are not noisemakers, they can latch on that statement and destroy Akpabio forever both locally and internationally by retweeting to US and Isreali Embassies. / |
/ It boils down to marketing. Emotional industries are highly profitable. Eg. In US, the marriage industry was estimated to be $54.3 billion in 2013. Funeral service industry is not far behind. The same way Christmas and Easter have been hijacked by retail industries. At least US is honest enough to identify them as industries. When you factor in that blacks and wasteful spendings are like 5&6, one can understand why Nigerian Christians fight to outdo one another on funeral expenses. Some families spend so much on funerals that the living are left with nothing to survive after the jamboree. Some even go into debts. / |
Treasury bill is better for institutional investors. Otherwise, it is not worth the effort for individual investors with meagre resources because low risk level investments yield minimal returns. Why would someone tie down N2m in Treasury bill? N.B: I am not a big fan of banks. I only see a bank as a clearing house. / |
/ Person wey never finish Primary school come dey worry about university no be madness? Finish living meaningful life here on Earth first before being an amateur alarmist for life in hell/heaven. Trouble go dey una go use una mouth dey invoke am. / |
/ Hate him or love him, Saraki understands the power of the Senate President and he is using it effectively. He didn't make the rules. I expected them to use the same power to check the excesses of Buhari but they chose to play the ostrich thinking that Buhari will be a team player--scratch my back and I scratch yours. They are being hounded today because of their dereliction of duties when it mattered most. GEJ played such dumb moves and got punished. Of what use is power if one doesn't know how and when to use it? / |
This is why touts with no visible assets end up in politics. Many buildings were sealed or in worst case scenario demolished because of political differences in many states in Nigeria. El Rufai did the same thing in Abuja. Politics in Nigeria must be approached with the spirit of a mafian to survive. Sometimes I don't blame the Nigerian politicians because they are the products of the society where humility, meekness, empathy is misconstrued as weakness. / |
/ Nigerians in Nigeria should show that they have functional brains first before soliciting for assistance from Nigerians in diaspora. Like Branson (owner of Virgin Atlantic) said, " Nigerian politicians are too corrupt and insane". Why would a sane investor move his investment to Nigeria when the people he intends to help demand for bribes to be helped? Assuming a concerned citizen wants to build a hospital, from land acquisition, building approval to the buildings, everyone and every agency has hands out for bribery and gratification outside of the official fees and dues. Most patriotic fellows that came with open minds went back. And the helpless Nigerians think they are wise until they or their immediate families become victims of their malfeasance. Do you want to fix your street for everyone's benefit? You must grease the palms of local government officials and the Youth Union of the town. Why bother? Na person wey enter river im dey swallow. Why save people who don't want to be saved? Everyone is out for selfish interests instead of communal interests. / |
