Kolababe:/ Just laughing... She copied from the lady's facebook page.... Now she wants people to help her locate her... So she couldn't contact her directly and discretely on facebook? Some people sef. \ |
kennyman2000:/ The days of messing up people's money is over. Anyone that does, drop a chopper on him/her with a 16. Mean mug! \ |
/ I love the spitting of fire from the same folks who said if Jonathan would lose the election Nigeria will fail to exist. Well, he lost and here we are. Buhari can probe and arrest anyone he damn pleases and nothing will happen. Folks should desist from making unnecessary noise. Even the OBJ that is currently being touted as a jugggernaut almost died under Abacha. It is this kind of false grandstanding by charlatans that led Abiola to his grave. All those he hoped on deserted him at the critical moment. Jonathan's case won't be different if the federal might is unleashed on him. Like IPOB members, some Nigerians will protest and be killed by trigger happy soldiers. But in all, life goes on. / |
baby124:/ Surprised? I have never been to any Nigeria Embassy before. Usually I'd give my passport to an agency and the Nigeria visa would be ready in 48hrs. Smh / |
They needed critical care in Burns unit which i doubt exists in any hospital in Nigeria. Taking them to a Teaching Hospital is not good enough. / |
/ Not the current brand of Nigeria women. / |
/ Ben Bruce is forgetting that he is part of this government. He is a senator |
/ Even a cleaner who wants to take pictures to impress online followers will look dapper. The environment he took the pictures is not a typical place you expect to see a Nigeria police officer. He must be connected somehow to be working in a cozy environmen. / |
/ It is very easy to end corruption in Nigeria. All is needed is a crazy President and 3 scapegoats. Nigerians are cowards and fun-loving. Grab OBJ and dash him 20years with no possibility of parole. Dash IBB 20. Grab one more godfather and haul him in. Give the rest the opportunity to return loot. Thereafter, Nigeria will be quiet for decades. The temperament of Abacha, El Rufai and the dude in Ghana that nailed corrupt politicians will be needed. / |
/ NNPC that used to be one giant corrupt corporation has been turned to a seven-headed monster. I see corruption level x 7 because each CEO will continue to maintain the status quo. / |
/ What brand of tire? What is the speed rating of the tire? Were the tires appropriately inflated? Why brand of tire? A particular US brand of tires werr found to be defective and caused a lot of untimely death in Ford cars about a decade ago. There was a class action lawsuit to that effect. What is the speed rating/ load capacity of the tires? Are they all season tires? Winter tires? Z-rated or what? Sometimes to make a little pocket money, drivers exchange original parts with substandard (or good enough) parts. To those oga that send their drivers to the mechanic to service cars, you are gambling with your lives. Nigerians tend to believe that SUVs are rugged and can withstand any rough handling. SUVs are prone to rollover and that's probably what happened when the truck was steered abruptly in response to the bursted tires. Gravitational force is real. I bet that the accident had more to do with overspeeding than any other factor. / |
goldstarpamela:/ Keyword: reputable. You made a lot of sense. People don't want to hear the truth until they get burned. There are a lot of mushroom companies waiting for suckers to devour. Agents are here arguing that insurance is real. Who said it is not? The warning is for people to be careful of what companies they are giving their money to. That's all. / \ |
olumilade:/ If insurance doesn't pay compensation, there will not be insurance fraud. Like i said, insurance business is real but there are a lot of mushroom companies out to get suckers. That's what i am preaching against because there are too many of them. / |
/ My target is $70/Barrel. I am letting the sucker run. Long term. / |
IamJose:/ That's why I said most and not all. Exposure to stock market is a good investment as well. There are people who invested in the Nigeria stock market in 2008 who are yet to see their money up till today. In the book they were rich but they couldn't liquidate because of unscrupulous brokers. It was considered very sexy to be a stockbroker in Nigeria in 2008. Today folks run away from them. The same awaits insurance brokers. Most of them have no idea what they are selling. Based on higher commissions, their companies tell them what products to push to the consumers. They dont care if you get burned or not. One must exercise due diligence in dealing with an insurance company. It wouldn't hurt to run it by an experienced business attorney ( not a charge-and -bail aka Ambulance chaser attorney) . |
IamJose:/ Timeline is not a variable of guarantee. So... death is guaranteed. Insurance is good. But in Nigeria and probably anywhere else, most of them are scammers. And you can take that to the bank. They take their premiums and turn down claims or try to wriggle out of their obligations. Ever wonder why their policies are followed by 5 fonts fineprints? They don't expect you to read it and most people don't read it. That's their hidden treasure. \ |
/ Why can't the NAF lose the tires on the Presidential jets? Let's see how Buhari wan take run away from Nigeria again. / |
/ And the police officer sitting on the sideboard of a moving truck appears ready to join them. Just one pothole....boom!!! / |
I heard that men with protruding stomach look better in agbada. |
IamJose:/ Insurance. Assurance. You are vomiting what they sold to you. Insurance practice is based on probabilities and spread of risks among participants. As I stated, it sounds good in the books. The implementation is what sucks--reality meets promises. By the way, nothing in life is guaranteed except death. \ |
backwardneva:/ Read through the posts. All the insurance sales agents are on the prowl promoting their business as the next best thing after garri and sugar. Are there good insurance companies? Yes. But you have to sieve through the chaffs. They rely on their commissions for survival as agents. Like robots, the agents vomit their training manuals on their clients and when prodded, they transfer the curious client to higher ups. The only time people understand who they are dealing with is during compensation. Then the macabre dance and unnecessary delay follow suit. / |
olusd:/ U think you are the only one with insurance coverages? Like i said, insurance in Nigeria should come with "buyers beware". There is a reason insurance companies are hated so much that it even finds itself in US presidential debates. You have no idea. Are you aware that insurance companies do declare occurrences as "an act of God" to avoid paying compensations? Read the history of insurance and how it started. Just like casinos, insurance was started by the mafia. The government took over and exerted control thereby forcing them to take it mainstream. Just like in a casino, there are winners but losers outnumber the winner. Insurance is a business that is out to make profit. In a lot of the cases, one has to go through the court to get them to honour their contract. / |
/ I am a big proponent of tyranny because Nigeria is not a normal society. Egypt and Iraq were decent when tyrants held sway. As soon as the tyrants were eliminated, the countries went to the dogs. Democracy does not work for animals or people who act like animals. Looting, embezzlement, corruption with impunity anchored on democracy which the leaders succinctly redefined as the government of the few by the few and for the few. \ |
Okijajuju1:/ How much will he pay a good lawyer to chase N80k? / |
/ I have said it on NL on numerous occasions that insurance is a scam for the most part in Nigeria. The sad thing is that people usually find out after an incident. Even in the developed countries, insurance companies are known to find every loopholes in the policy to avoid compensation. Be it health insurance, auto or home insurance, the game is the same. I can only imagine their game plan in Nigeria. A few months back, some smart Alec was telling me here on NL how much insurance coverage he has on his business in Nigeria. He was rattling off on the semantic mumbo jumbo the agent sold him, i could only laugh at his ignorance. / |
symbianDON:/ Good observation. Sometimes reading through postings on NL, one cannot help but be perturbed at how ignorant and gullible folks can be. Speed kills. If an SUV doing 140km/hr has a blown tire (especially the front one), the driver will most likely meet his creator that day. \ |
/ Nothing to celebrate. Jonathan was useless. Buhari is equally clueless. Nigeria has a long way to go. Awards. Titles. They drive Nigerians crazy. Ph.Ds that cannot spell their names. Engineers that cannot think. Doctors that are clueless. Numerous pageants to crown one "Miss Something" . There is something about Nigerians' lives that they must cling to anything to fill that void. Do you want to defeat a Nigerian? Praise him, he will let his guard down and you go in for the kill --a psychological warfare that Africans have failed to understand. / / |
/ Easier said than done. It happens so fast that before your brain registers what is going on, it is over. Only experience matters in the scenario. Then you think about Nigeria where anyone that knows how to push the throttle, hold the steering and step on the brake will claim to be an expert driver. The more reckless the driving, the more the driver is "hailed" and called a captain to goad him to untimely death. For one, there is no driving tests before issuance of driving licence. That says it all. / |
/ He dared them... They tried... And they succeeded. / |
/ There is nothing to learn. Life has no value in Nigeria. It is all about the money. Get billions today and die for N1000 negligence tomorrow. Every mo.ron in that shithole thinks he/she is wise. I couldn't care less. / |
Wallade:/ Since you know the handling on roads, what is the handling in potholes? / |
/ It is not what was said but how it was said. Next time, ask nicely. You will be the last one to get alert bc of this. / |
