Wyttcat:/ What prevents them from going to court? You are relying on the allegations only. There will be cross-examinations. Ever heard of beyond reasonable doubt? Sorry my friend court cases are not always black or white. There are grey areas that criminals can get away through. I am not arguing with you pointlessly anymore. The Adelekes have all the evidence. Let them go to court. UNTIL they do, they are just shitheads trying to intimidate a young girl until her "big masquerade" uncle showed up. So far, it is 1-0. Since you like to state the facts. So far, even with their power and affluence in Nigeria, the Momodus kicked their behind. And they will continue to lose. / |
/ The irony of it. Ikpeazu means biased judgment. Appeal court dismissed Ikpeazu means the Appeal court nullified a biased judgment. Be careful when choosing a name. / |
Wyttcat:/ The Adelekes should retain you as their attorney instead of resorting to blackmail and intimidation. If it is proven that the breast milk was tainted with marijuana (Let's assume for the sake of argument that the baby was never fed with baby formula and the Adelekes have no ulterior motive), the worst that can happen is the mother will be ordered into rehab, then united with the daughter after that. There are precedents. If the Adelekes want the best for the baby, they know how to get custody without using MoPol. They know they will lose in court. The Adelekes will cry in American court. You will be amazed at how deep investigators are willing to cut to prove a case. I don't think the father will like to go through the nyash opening in court. Things don't always work out the way people planned in court. I believe the Adelekes have legal advisers who must have told them the truth. Thus, they decided to go about it the Nigerian way instead of the legal way. I just realized that Dele Momodu is involved too. So there may be no need for public defenders. Egos will come into play. |
Wyttcat:/ Kidnapping is kidnapping, no matter the direction. Adelekes claimed that the baby has traces of marijuana in her toxicology report. It sounds good until videos of Davido smoking weed is reviewed. Any motive? Try going to child custody case in US. Adelekes will get the best lawyers. But the lady will get lawyers free of charge. Then throw in all these powerful feminist movements and mothers' organizations into the mix, the US legal system will go for what they do best--the Adeleke's pockets. Is there any official Law enforcement reports after the toxicology report? Davido said that the lady is a riff raff. A riff raff that he slept with without protection. So it is a class warfare. Only the death of a mad man shows that he has relatives. Adelekes will lose in the US court. And they know it. That's why they are resorting to blackmail and intimidation. |
EasternActivist:/ You didn't get the point. Did u? Who is standing in line at the fuel station? Who has no electricity? Who is suffering from unemployment? Praying for things to be bad in your lives to prove that Buhari is inept is the worst curse anyone can place on him/herself. / |
/ Dele Momodu didn't act right. They should have used Immigration officials to know the Adelekes' point of entry into USA. And when they are airborne, have the niece put a frantic call to US Department of Homeland Services about child kidnapping. Make sure the InterPol is involved. The Adelekes' would easily be picked up at the airport. And by the time they finish the case (including jail terms), they will regret ever playing such a dirty trick. Even with all their wealth, the US system will treat them as some n...g...s with money--not a good feeling. |
exthar87:/ I wasn't expecting it to make sense to you. If only you know what "bait and switch" means. A good number of brokers don't understand the products they are selling. They are in it for the commissions. Insurance companies have fvcked and will continue to screw people up. A safer bet is to go with a reputable company because the industry is notorious for snake oil salesmen. Cave be sedes. / |
missKiffy:/ Go use some douche first. I ain't got time for smelly ants. / |
/ Search out for older Nigerian business men in your city. By special arrangement, you pay into their account in Nigeria and they give you equivalent in Vietnamese currency . \ |
missKiffy:/ No reasonable person flies into Nigeria and lodges in a hotel with his/her real name. That is Security 101 of traveling to Nigeria for Nigerians in diaspora. Not that I expect a village girl to know this. Just a public service announcement. / |
JAYTUNEZ:/ It is surprising that at no time did you folks think that it could be the work of an enemy/frenemy/competitor. Ladies can be mean to fellow ladies. / |
elderstan:/ Salt dissolved in water. Easy to mix but to get 0.9% which is the same concentration as bodily fluid is where wahala dey. A safe bet will be to buy it from a pharmacy. / |
TruthisOut:/ A few weeks ago, I was arguing with magicminister about insurance policies. He bragged about his premium and coverage for his business. I kindly advised him to have a lawyer go over his policy because insurance companies are known to make policy holders jump through a lot of hoops before getting compensation. Sometimes, it is outright denial. In US, they may hide under omission of information, act of God, preexisting conditions, etc. to deny claims. In a chaotic environment like Nigeria, I am sure they have endless list of "excuses" to avoid payment especially the mushroom insurance companies that will insure anybody and anything. But again, some folks who think they are wise usually learns the hard way. Good luck cashing out! / |
/ The past administration secured funds for arms and ammunition but shared it for 2015 elections. The soldiers were left to fight the insurgents with bare hands. Some lost their lives and the ones smart enough to disobey unjust orders were charged with mutiny. If nobody sees anything morally and ethically wrong in that, so be it. / |
/ The craziest thing is that someone somewhere is reading this news while packaging his material. / |
RedCapChief:/ He is not in isolation a.K.a contact precaution. That's why. / |
Nigerians will believe anything |
/ The letter from.NOI was addressed to GEJ. Dasuki stated that he acted in connivance with GEJ. It is understandable when people that got billions are defending GEJ to protect their loot. But it is shameful when folks hoping on.N5k handout from the government start defending GEJ as well. I wish Buhari would tighten the noose more because some Nigerians deserve the hardship that come their way. I used to be sympathetic to the plight of Nigerians when they complain about hardship. Not anymore. / |
erico2k2:/ Yeah right. Tell the banks to pay N2b into my local bank account. I will notify the States Department of the legitimacy of the transaction, get security clearance against money laundering and I will fly the dollars equivalent into Nigeria in duffle bags the same way GEJ flew $14m into South Africa. There you have it. / |
/ I take dollar bills to Nigeria. So they should take naira bills to their countries, find a bureau d' change and do the needful. But wait. The amount of money involved would be wired out only. Does it mean the banks' computers are down? The airlines should just be honest and say that Nigeria wahala don tire them...from adulterated Jet A1 to possible disembark with ladder in the near future. Who knows? It could be ropes like the marines next time. I don't blame them. / |
/ Just curious. Shouldn't the drastic drop in crude oil price automatically erase the need for subsidy? / |
TonyeBarcanista:/ Someone will be "cross-carpeting" to APC soon. I can smell it. PDP's wailing camp will surely miss the sound of your vuvuzuela. \ |
/ Oil going to $20 will not be a problem especially if it is because of massive liquidation of early bullish positions. Such a scenario usually results in a flush followed by an aggressive snap back. Some call it v shaped recovery. However, a sustained stay around $20 will be a train wreck. Nigeria and some other OPEC countries will then collapse. / |
/ The least I would have done is provide first aid. Traveling to Nigeria happens to be my worst nightmare because of stories like this. Nigeria is the most dangerous place to visit in the world. Refer to the link below: http://www.aol.ca/article/2015/07/29/these-are-the-worlds-most-dangerous-destinations/21215436/?icid=maing-grid7|canada|dl1|sec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D675815 \ |
/ Go ahead and buy a car. But it has to be a simple car. Else.... Best case scenario: You alleviate your suffering Worst case scenario: You attract gold-diggers and chewing gum guys. To create a balance, be ready to alternate between using your car and taking public transportation else you will "enter demurrage "(a.K.a 35 & single). If you ball too hard (in Nigeria, it means owning a car), you may scare potential honest suitors away. It is a reality check. It is the same reason that single ladies with Ph.Ds find it difficult to find suitors in Nigeria. Nigeria is a peculiar place. |
/ It gets confusing when one considers Commissioners of Police of different states vs. Area Commanders who control zones comprising of many states. / |
/ There is no need blaming the OP. After all, he who the gods want to kill, they first make mad. May be the OP has finished his purpose on this earth...and it is a matter of time before the wife sends him yonder. It could be his destiny. And the prophecy comes to pass. Why the hell do people still get married? \ |
/ One of those rare moments that I am speechless.... / |
yjgm:Nice. Hopefully you won't wrap a bomb in return In the spirit of Allah Akbar |
/ If I were in your shoes, I will surprise her with a brand new gas cooker and utensils to match. Isn't that love? The family might be poor but she still cooks from her meagre resources to feed you. The gas cooker and pots are old but not necessarily dirty. There you have it. / |
aviazuva:/ Good observations. But you haven't said why you cannot be the leader since you know the qualities that a true leader of ndi Igbo must possess. Everyone seems to know the right way to do it but nobody wants to bell the cat. Therein lies the problem. Kanu (love him or hate him) happens to be the one with the clout to pull millions out to protest for him. I don't subscribe to his doctrines. But I will give respect to whomever it is due. He may be called crazy. But that is one heck of a crazy man with a lot of followers. / |
LOL. They called Jesus crazy because he was the physical son of a carpenter. They crucified him. Today, millions all over the world are exalting him including the barbaric Africans. The jeers and insults some of you are heaping on anyone who dares to challenge the status quo is not any different from what Jesus went through in the hands of the Jews. Martyrdom is never gotten on a platter of gold. Every great nation today had dissenters who helped form the foundations of her greatness today. From the disciples to Mandela to Martin Luther King, someone had to sacrifice their comfort for the uplifting of mankind. One thing is certain, some of you are scared of death but Kanu may end up outliving some of you. The same death you are scared of, you will die with no conviction Remember the young Kogi politician who said Buhari is close to the grave. He is already dead, buried and forgotten while Buhari is still kicking. Be careful what you pray for others. |
